Even though she might have a look that intimidates you, she is one of the sweetest ladies you'll ever meet. she explains the experiments well and helps you with any questions you have. i had a lot of fun
very moody; 50% chance of getting on her good side when you have a question. makes you drill labs into yer mind the wk. before, yet when it's time to do them, she takes up an hr. or more going over them as if we were born yesterday. hope for a nice t.a.
I think people think she is good because they havent seen the other lab intrsuctors. She is the worst out of all of them....her final was mad hard and wasnt open book..I like that we do all the calculations in class however, she takes an hr to expl.exper

pretty good lab teacher, explains labs well and helps out when u need it. final was kinda hard last semester.
shes the best lab professor! unlike other prof she actually shows u how to do the lab properly! she wants u to learn! and all those who think she gives hard finals! HEY WELCOME TO COLLEGE! everything is hard here! shes great!
Seriously just make sure you do your lab properly because as long as your do everything properly theres no reason for her to give you a bad grade. She is kinda stern looking but she isn't that bad. =)
great lab professor. explains everything well and is always there to help you!
"hey welcome to college" --going to college doesnt mean that you need to get your ass kicked by a stupid lab..she doesnt give open book finals like the other lab professors, her grading system is horrible, the final is hard. shes as mean as she
my religion, my life, i love labs
She makes a horrible first impression but she's actually okay. Perhaps not the best in the department but doable. She explains the labs thoroughly and is a good grader when it comes to notebooks and lab reports.
pretty good lab teacher; explains the lab completely and i guess shes not that bad. dont kno abt the final tho...
one semester of trying to understand her "english" is enough for me
she's really nice! accent is thick thoughso sometimes ihad to repeat what shesaid inmy head to understand it. she graded the labs harder towards the end of the year. and she gave us an open book lab final!!! and it was funny too! ie:one answer choice for a question was: because i said so. very cool!
Very good instructor! Explains labs in a good way, always willing to help, and amusing. Better get good results in labs though, cuz she rakes off lots of points if answers are too big or small. Final wasn't hard at all, just simple calculations and it was open book. No need to worry.
at first u wanna get out of her class, but after u get to know her she isnt that bad. she does take off up to 20 points if u have wrong calculations. took the exams today and it wasnt all that hard. was open book. calculations on what she told us came and some other stuff. i enjoyed her class.
Initially, you think she's not a nice/good teacher. Then after a few classes, you realize that she's pretty great! Final was open book this year, it wasn't too bad. She'll take time to explain the lab thoroughly. Do your lab carefully with the right sig figs! Take her if you can!
she seems a little intimidatin at first, but shes actually quite nice and helpful. takes a lot of points off for lab calculations and also has an accent thats hard to understand, but besides that shes not that bad. at least she always explains exactly what she wants done :)
Good lab teacher. Explains the experiments well. Offers help when needed. A bit harsh on grading, but it helps you learn your mistakes. I recommend taking her.
she's mad good teacher. always trys to let you learn something.... u have to the labs the way she wants them and answer questions precisely... out of the 250 lab points, 50 for hte final is not hard to accomplish, and 50 for notebook is MAD EASY, and the rest of 150 is labs, really not that bad.
Great lab teacher. Grades labs fair, and goes over the questions in class, by letting student's figure out the answers. Final is not too hard if you study. Truely is a great professor.
Some of these labs make you want to kill yourself, but Professor Jain trys to make it more fun. She explains everything well, even if it is a little hard to understand her, and she grades pretty easy.

labs are ok, not to hard. she took of 20 points cuz one of my calculations was too low! cant stand that about her..everything else was ok..drops the 2 lowest labs and one extra credit assignment
shes a very nice lady. gives you the formulas for the calculations and sometimes she even goes over the questions. overall, she's an easy grader.
She is a really helpful and clear lab teacher. I dont think any other schools will ever show you how to do the lab like stjohns. so take advantage of that!
she makes lab very easy, you don't even have to figure out how to do the calculations on your own just make sure your results come close to the right yield/answer/ratio/whatever final calculation the lab is aiming for, open book final : )
such a nice person.. gives the formulas for how to calculate the answers for lab. not a hard grader as long as u hand in all ur work. definitely take her.
she is an ok teacher. she's nice in giving out calculations, but she's a harsh grader and her final is kinda hard. she takes off as much as 25 points for miscalculations and/or incorrect results. In those cases, I recommend "adjusting the numbers" with some type of caution because sometimes it works against you. Overall, I think you should take her
She's a wonderful professor and she's very nice. she will answer any questions you have and her lab final is very standard. TAKE HER and do yourself a favor.
she's a nice person...tells you exactly what to do for your calculations in lab...very helpful and clear wen answering questions....kinda harsh grader on ur calculations...
too harsh of a grader takes way too many points off for stupidest mistakes or just sig figs

extremely helpful, extremely nice
OMG.. she kicked me out and barred me from taking the lab just beacuse I was like 15 minutes late. Very Biased and PICKY, terrible
She doesn't seem like a friendly LAB instructor at first because of the amount of points she deducts for experimental data that is either too low or too high. (-10 POINTS!) Only when there are 2 LABS left to do, does she actually care about her students. She has favorites (biased), so, participate in the pre-lab discussion; she'll know your face. B
GREAT lab instructor. She seems very unapproachable at first, but once she knows you're a good student, she is a lot of fun. Easy to joke with, but is still strict about the lab reports and the lab environment. Just be nice and PARTICIPATE in the pre lab discussions. Easy A
Cool teacher. Has an accent but is understanable. But who cares, its lab so 90% of the time you working by yourself anyways. She is friendly and makes sure you understand everything before you move on. I think that she could possibly be one of the better lab professors in this University
She is very nice and helpful lady. Many times I went to her during her office hours and she cleared all my doubts. During the lab lecture she might not be clear but just ask her again and she will be more than happy to clarify. The lab final was easy..open book. Take her and you will surely enjoy the class.
She seemed at first unapproachable, but she'll be happy to help if you ask questions. She does take off points for wrong results, but in the end, you'll still get high grades if you go to the lab. I got several 80s on labs and ended with 247 out of 250 pts. Open book lab final. She sticks up for her students also. Overall excellent professor
Pretty much what everyone below me said; it doesn't matter if you bomb two labs, you can still get an A, because two are dropped. Also, though the final is open book, write down everything in your lab to you notebook, so you know what you're doing!
How I love Prof. Jain! At first, she seemed so intimidating, but she is so great! She goes over the procedure and the calculations for the lab. But she is a little anal with the calculations and sig figs [she'll enter the numbers herself in the calculator!]. Class can choose to have open book final or not -- final was not bad at all!
Okay, she is being overrated by the other people. The truth is she has an accent, her lecture is hard to understand. She takes off ALOT of points on calculations in lab reports, even if you made one error. She doesn't like to be asked questions. She seems stressed out for some reason all the time. I would say find another professor.
Hard to understand at first, but you get used to it. Attempts to trick you with different units all the time, so watch out! Fair grader. Just type up the labs and make them look nice and you'll do fine. Make sure your notebook is done before class. Easy lab final. Great professor and a fine lab teacher.
Really not bad, if you go to her, she'll try to make you get it yourself but if not, she explains it. Fair grader, but make sure you have significant figures etc. right. WRITE DOWN THE CALCULATIONS WHILE SHE EXPLAINS THEM IN THE PRELAB (she explains everything), because her handwriting is difficult. ASK HER if you have qs- its worth your grade.
accent a bit hard to understand. she goes over equations and the calculations most of the time, which makes her better than a lot of the lab profs who don't. a tad bit intimidating, but i guess that's how lab teachers commonly are. fair grader. hard to hear when you're in the far side of the room though, so always listen carefully.
She's really nice once she gets to know you. The only way she will know is if you ask her questions and such. Sometimes can be mean but most of the time explains everything well.
bad professor takes off major points for a simple mistake and hard to understand avoid if you can
seems mean at first, but if you do your work and dont slack off she'll favor you. accent a bit hard to understand sometimes. she takes off points for minor mistakes in calculations and makes you write prelab for every lab, at the end of the day im horrible in lab but i still manage to have a 93 avg on all my labs.
Good lab teacher who seems mean at first but is actually helpful. If you actually put some effort into your lab reports, you will get a good grade
She is awesome. She might look intimidating but she is really helful if you go to her. She mostly gives answers to the lab question before hand. If you listen to the prelab you should be find. Hard grader. MAKE SURE YOUR CALCULATIONS are right. Final is open book. I went without studying and got a 32/40
Easy lab teacher. Gets to the point. Answers to lab questions are reviewed in the prelab. Just do the lab according to directions and you'll get a good grade. Not strict, not mean. Nice and considerate professor. Easy A!
Renu Jain is an alright professor. She's nice and helpful, but so anal when it comes to doing lab reports. She deducts SO many points just for a simple mistake even if you did other calculations correctly. Try to avoid taking Renu Jain if possible.
had her for lab really anal about little things and deducts alot of points on reports, nice lady but strict hardddddddddddd final MUST STUDY
Prof Jain is the type of teacher that will give you a solid foundation in lab techniques and calculations so that you will not have problems going forward. She is strict with grading and will take points off if calculations are incorrect. I thought she was a good professor regardless and I learned a lot. I would rather be well prepared then not.
Nice lady and very helpful. But she's strict about grading; make sure you get good results on every single one of your labs.
just always show your calculations for your lab reports b/c then she won't take as many points off b/c she'll see that your answers make sense. she is helpful and nice once, although she may not seem so in the beginning. final kinda hard, write down the answers to the labs in your notebook if your class decides to have it open book
she explains everything beforehand and she's also really helpful if you ask her questions. She's an okay grader. She's not really strict on it but she's not really lenient on it either. Know your significant figures though because she does take off points if you round to the wrong number.
She does explain the experiemtn before lab but she is sometimes vague about what you result should be like. she does puts up formulas to get your answers but sometimes they are not to clear. she takes off points for minor things which i hate. also her lab final was very difficulttttt, should look through all your labbbss . no joke
Professor Jain is not as bad as some people say she is. You just have to pay attention to what she says and you'll def do great in her class.
She may appear to be unapproachable and serious at first, but she's very helpful if you ask her, and she cracks jokes sometimes. She is kind of a tough grader, but only because 1) she follows the lab manual guidelines for the results and 2) to help you not make the same mistake again. You'll actually learn something in her class.
Tough grader, but fair. She seems strict at first, but she's pretty nice. Try your best to be as accurate as possible w/ results to avoid deductions. The final can be a breeze or really hard depending on how well you take notes. Don't be late w/ anything, put in a lot of effort, and you should be fine. She's not amazing, but she's not unreasonable.
Very good teacher. She explains everything you need for the lab and is clear about what she wants and doesn't want. She's really strict about calculations so make sure you are accurate as possible. She's also very very sweet and cares about your grade. Her office is always open whenever you need help. Very good teacher.
Before each lab she goes over the whole lab and gives step by step to how to do the calculations, it's very easy if you pay attention and take notes (take notes for FINAL!), but if you screw up a calculation she takes off anywhere from -10 to -20 since she did clearly show how to do all calcs before the lab so it's expected you get them correct!
Fair/Tough grader and is extremely helpful when it comes to lab. She gives out steps one by one for calculations and also for doing the lab. But when you make mistakes in calculations, she will take out ALOT of points for lab so your work has to be CLEAR and ACCURATE. She is kind and approachable.
Great lab teacher. Not the easiest but knows a lot. Fair grader and lets you hand in lab late sometimes
Great lab professor. Goes over the procedure and calculations prior to the lab. Very harsh grader when it comes to significant figures. Very helpful and approachable during the lab.
Really good lab professor. She thoroughly goes over the procedures before we start the lab so the class knows exactly what to do. She is a pretty fair grader but she does take a lot of points off if you have the wrong amount of sig figs. I would recommend taking her.
Good lab professor. She is always willing to help out to who needs it. She has a bit of an accent, but its manageable. She takes the lab reports seriously, so be careful on that!
She's a great professor and super helpful! She was very clear when she explained the procedures for the lab and showed us how to do all the calculations. She even helped me outside of class. She is a harsh grader though. Loved her class!
She is super clear and explicit when explaining the lab but she is a strict grader. Be careful with your numbers and try to be as precise as possible. I really liked her lab, take her if you can she is always willing to help.
good lab teacher, very clear instructions. Tells you exactly what to do and exactly how she wants work handed in. if you don't follow she takes off a lot of points. pretty harsh grader. if your data is off she takes off like 15 points. her final also isnt open book anymore but it was doable
She is very straightforward, giving clear directions and exactly how to do the lab and calculations right in the beginning of class. Her accent is a little confusing, but she is helpful whenever you have a question. Grades strictly but just be clear about your calculations and sigfigs and it'll be okay. Lab was a chill time for me.
Great lab prof. Explains everything before and after experiments. Goes through experiment before starting. Discusses post lab questions. A little tough on grading only because she tells you everything you need to know. Take notes during prelab lecture.
She grades strictly but just be clear about your calculations and sigfigs and it's not bad. She did seem very strict in the beginning, but her kindness and humor shows through. She will take off between 5-15 point for low yield.
great lab teacher. Strict ish wiht grading, but she is veyr willing to help. she gives every equation for the calculation, literally every single one, all u have to do s write it down. occasionally makes jokes, really enjoyed lab with her
Renu is great. She takes off a lot of points for your measurements being too high or too low but if you pay attention to her prefab lecture theres no reason to do bad. If you do your lab report before your class you can bring it to her and she will tell you what you have to fix. The only reason to not do well is to not put in effort!
She is amazing!! she is very well organized and she cares about her students. Her instructions are very clear. Event hough she is a harsh grader, you end unlearning a lot from her labs. Come to class on time and put time in your reports and you won't have such a hard time getting good grades in her class. I would so re-take :)
She's a great professor, I had her for lab. She writes out ALL equations you'll need, which is really helpful. She's clear with what you need to do & eager to help you if you're having problems with your experiment.
Professor Jain is fantastic. Se makes sure you actually understand why your doing the experiments and not just how to do them. Being able to understand all of the experiments clearly makes the final really easy. She's also a very fair grader and tries to put the students in a position to succeed. Her random humor also makes class entertaining.
Okay as an instructor. Can get really confusing and gets frustrated with students sometimes (especially involving graphs). Some equations can be really REALLY difficult to understand. Will move at a pretty quick pace, but ask LOTS of questions if you're confused (she'll answer them patiently). Not amazing but not terrible.
Renu Jain was a great lab instructor! During her pre lab lecture she basically walks you through the experiment and calculations that needs to be done during the lab. Lab reports are fairly short, but she can be harsh when grading them. However, she is extremely fair and understanding about most things, think of yourself as lucky if you have her.
I've never loved a professor more than I loved Professor Jain. She really cares about her students, and takes the time before each lab to discuss how to do the post-lab calculations. and questions. She also explains the reasoning behind the calculations, which helps you to better understand the chapter. Give her what she asks for and you'll pass!
Professor Jain is quite an interesting lab professor. She will force her students to be on top of their game, and if they aren't she will take points off on the lab report accordingly. Although she ma seem very intimidating at first glance, as the class progresses students will learn to appreciate her work ethic and caring personality.
She is extremely helpful in setting up labs and laying out important tips to complete the lab easier. Do what you're supposed to do and you'll get through lab.
She is a great lab instructor. She writes out every calculation you'd ever have to do, and breaks everything down. Sometimes she can be a bit hard to understand because of her accent, but just listen carefully. She grades labs a little harshly, but if you have any questions she's always happy to help. She can seem intimidating but don't be afraid!
Had her with Heather. They were great. Dr Jain shows you EXACTLY how to do the calculations and Heather explains more of the ideas and stuff. She seems really strict but she's totally fair and really patient.
Renu is a great lab professor. Everything that is assigned is clear and she provides all the calculations you will need. Some labs get confusing, but if you ask her questions about it she will help you. At first she comes off as a little intimidating, but she is actually extremely helpful and wants the best for her students.
Amazing person. She was a replacement for a useless Recitation teacher. She was also my Lab teacher. She puts calculations on the board, and finesses explanations. I wish I had her for my Chem Lecture class. And if you have any problem ask her, she will help always and has lots of Patience, be very respectful, she treats you back with respect.
it's lab, so you have to show up to every class but Jain is a great professor. she is a little intimidating at first, but she's a real softy. she tells you exactly what you need to do in order to complete the lab successfully and also all of the calculations. it is really easy to get an A in this class
She is a good recitation professor because she tells you what you really have to know to succeed in the course. She goes over hard problems and is a fair grader. As for lab she can be a tough grader when it comes to lab reports and calculations. The calculations can be a little confusing but understandable if you ask peers.
Amazing chemistry lab professor. She does her best to help you and is very clear. Sometimes lets you leave early if the lab is short. Definitely recommend taking her lab class.
Lab was super easy because she makes sure we understand how to do everything. She was also my recitation prof, she came in at like almost the end of the semester and trust me, my grades went up by A LOT!!! Definitely take her and make sure to pay attention, bc if you do, you're all set!
At first she comes off as very mean, but trust me, if you try in her lab, you have nothing to worry about. DONT take her class if you dont plan on putting in the effort, you wont do good. She is amazing, and I would take her again, I got the opportunity to take her for 2 semesters
She is a very good lab professor. She seems to be tough but she helps you a lot. Always makes everything very clear so you really can what to do. I'd definitely take her again.
Doesn't answer her emails so if you have something important to discuss about make sure to tell her in person. Pay attention to the pre-lab lecture. She likes to make some changes to the procedure. Lab final is super duper hard, so make sure to save all your lab reports to study from.
TAKE HER!! SHE WILL MAKE LAB SO EASY AND MANAGEABLE. Tells you everything you need to know in her prelab lectures which go over procedure and calculations. Takes quite long to answer emails tho so go in person if you have a question. If youre ever confused during the lab ask her and she will happily answer everything for you shes the best!!
She's an amazing professor; she really knows what she's doing for lab, and she makes you feel more relaxed while doing things because she goes over everything for the experiment and the calculations. She doesn't respond to emails really, but she's very helpful during lab when you have questions. Her final is specific, so save your lab reports
One of the best lab professors! She seems scary at first but she is actually so sweet and explains the labs very clearly. Final is not hard if you look over the labs and write down important things she says. Take her!!
She is an amazing lab teacher. She helps everyone, but doesn't just give them the answer without thinking. She gives a great pre-lab lecture where she goes through every step you need to do and with calculations. Be aware though, her final lab is very specific and you should study the lab reports.
she's a great lab professor! She's always walking around to make sure you're doing the experiment right and she's willing to help you. Explains the calculations and lab reports very clearly and makes it very easy for the students. Her grading can be somewhat tough tho if you make calculation mistakes that she emphasized not to make.
Great lab professor. very helpful with the lab reports and calculations but her final is very hard. Make sure to study the lab reports and concept questions for her final or else you won't pass. Other than that she's amazing.
she is amazing and i loved coming to lab because of her. she is there to help you and will explain something over 1000 times until you get it. take her 100%
Absolutely loved professor renu as my lab professor. She really takes her time out to get every student to understand the concepts and is such a caring person. I became much more interested in chemistry because of her and always speak highly of her. I love her way of teaching and she is for sure one of my favorite professors at sju.
I was in honor course and its a lab so we had to do alot of papers, presentation and experiment. but she is really nice and makes everything clear. Although yo gotta work hard
She's definitely intimidating, but once you speak to her one on one she's very kind and understanding. She grades rather fairly, I just wish she explained calculations a little more. She sees that a lot of students struggle with it and doesn't really take the time to explain it--you have to ask individually. Overall I would recommend :)
I don't know why she seems so strict and tough, though she really isn't. Not a tough grader at all. However she likes to put challenging questions on quizzes and she expects that her students will solve them the way she would solve them...
She's a pretty nice lab instructor and is willing to help you the best she can. I know some instructors make lab way harder than it needs to be, but she definitely tries to simplify it the best she can.
I had her for intro to gen & orgo chem lab. She tries her best to make the instructions more clear and concise. Grading criteria are not given, so you will get random points off your lab report and you won't know why unless you email her. She will not change or delay deadlines.
Prof. Jain is nice and explains lab procedures well. But she doesn't teach material for the pre-lab quizzes and report questions which is extremely frustrating. She will also take off points off your lab report without proper explanation :/ sweet lady but unfortunately I didn't have the best experience
Nothing good about this Proff, as she was very belittling to students & is hard to reach and unresponsive to emails. She is a harsh grader and will go through experiments once and expect students to perform on their own, and disappears during. No clear grading rubric takes off points on everything and some -5 point policy for any questions asked.
I had her in person for the summer. She is clear with the work that needs to get done yet she grades WAY to harshly. She takes off points just because she gets mad. Seriously she said this in class. I like her pre lab lecture to tell us what to do but she said if we ask questions during the lab she would take points off.
I had this Professor for my lab teacher for both gen chem 1 &2. The first semester her class was asynch and much more relaxed. One lab was assigned a week and there were multiple parts to it but do able. In the second semester in person it was awful, she was bad at giving directions and always got mad at us. Nice person but bad at teaching.
I had her for Gen Chem 1 Lab and the labs weren't difficult at all but she takes off 20 points of your report and doesn't bother to tell you why so you can't even learn from your mistakes. Also, her pre and post lab quizzes are so unclear on what the question is asking because she doesn't use proper grammar. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!
Harsh Grader, some days she's good, some day's she's eh, gets irritated easily. She's caring in a way, tough love.
She is a very good lab Professor, always answering questions and helping us receive the best possible grade. She is accessible outside the classroom and responds to emails quickly. She makes lab fun if the class is respectful and does not annoy her. I would definitely recommend her for general chemistry lab.
She is a very tough love kinda teacher. She is nice and many people say she's a tough grader but the lowest grade you could get is an 85 unless you don't hand in the lab. She is very get to the point so she doesn't waste time to get to the lab, which I enjoy. Her final is really based on the lab reports and it would've been easy if I studied.
Dr. Jain's a very explicit lab instructor. She goes over everything in the lab lecture, and tells you how to do everything for the lab. She's actually really nice, saved me lots of grief on a lab where my tools weren't working and let me submit what I had. At times her lab feedback is a bit too short, so there's guesswork involved sometimes.
Renu is such an amazing professor. I had her for both spring (gen chem1) and summer (gen chem2). She is the only reason I am taking a chemistry class in the summer. She is so kind, her lectures are very clear, she is always willing to help. Fair grader. Overall amazing!!! If you have the opportunity to take her then do it!
She is a great lab professor. I had her for spring(genchem1) and summer(genchem2). She is so clear with instructions, and always tries her best to make sure her students are on track. Can be a difficult grader but will let you know beforehand why she takes off points so you won't make certain mistakes. Easy pre and post lab quizzes.
Honestly really good lab professor, class based on prefabs, post labs, reports, and group collaboration. Very to the point, if you ask a question she will answer in class- is a little difficult to reach via email.
You must show up to every single lab...do not even think of missing a day. every week there were the notebook submissions (a lot of writing), pre lab quiz, lab report, and post lab quiz. she basically writes exactly what to do for the lab report on the whiteboard in class so take a picture of it before you leave. Also there is a final so prepare!
Professor Jain is very clear on what she wants and doesn't want. Honestly, it's a little stressful to be in her lab. Luckily calculations are given to you on the board each lab so lab reports are straightforward. Try not to miss any labs -- despite the "makeup lab" policy outlined in the syllabus, she has never actually offered a makeup lab.
Professor Jain is a great laboratory professor! She is very straight forward in her lectures and she makes the report calculations very clear. She is also kind and very intelligent. If you treat her with respect and do what you are supposed to do in lab, you will succeed in her class.
Very picky and tough grader, although she is good at explaining things and helps you genuinely learn. NEVER answers her emails ever so don't even try to get in touch with her. Although she is very helpful during lab. Her final exam was easy and labs were average. Just listen to her instructions and you'll be fine.
Even though she doesn't always seem approachable, she is usually always helpful. The class is a lot of work, but thats just what has to be done for labs. During the lab, she writes down how to do everything (inlcuding calcs) so take a pic and you should be set. She doesn't always reply to emails which is annoying, but overall I liked her
Chemistry labs are pretty overwhelming but she did her best to mitigate that. Lectures were a bit long so you would often have to ask what to do next, which kind of sucks b/c then you would have a bunch of students waiting to ask her questions, so it took a while to get any help. I love how she explains how to do the calculations, its a lifesaver.
Professor Jain's lab lectures are super helpful - she breaks down the calculations and procedures step-by-step. While grading can be harsh, engaging with the material and using tools like Unstuck AI for study prep really pays off. Overall, a challenging but rewarding class.
Love this woman to DEATH. I didn't like her teaching-style originally, but I got used to it by the end of the semester. Expectations for the course and assignments are clearly outlined, and her TAs are absolute angels. It's literally impossible to fail this class if you do your assignments. Labs are straight-forward. Final is a group presentation.
I don't understand all the positive reviews??? She is rude and condescending. This takes form when it comes to the lack mutual communication whether that's her NEVER answering her emails or lacking empathy. We pay money to go to this school, come correct.
Solid lab professor. Like most chemistry labs, there's a lot of lab reports/hw to work on so be advised. Sort of a tough grader but pretty fair for the most part. Very helpful during lab work and assists you if you need help on something. Offers Microsoft Excel extra credit, which you should definitely take, she even has a video on how to do it.
Amazing lab professor. Very thorough with lab procedures and is always ready to answer questions. Makes students write out the procedures from lab manual to use during class, which is a great way to familiarize yourself with what will occur for that specific lab. Makes funny comments and even though I had an 8AM lab, the class never felt groggy.
At first I was intimidated by how strict she is but overtime I saw she's a great teacher. What she wants is very clear and when you're stuck on anything she comes and helps you out and sometimes even does some of the steps for you. Great professor, I enjoyed lab a lot because of her. Helpful TAs as well.
She's a good professor. She's kind of hard to understand but lab is pretty self explanatory she's funny and makes jokes. She also helps you when you ask. She grades kind of hard so make sure your math is correct.
Prof Jain is a very sweet professor who takes the time to help you out during your lab if you are really struggling. Mind you, this isn't a course you should be slacking in and missing. It requires work and you need to make sure your calculations are accurate. She is always available to discuss grading on lab reports and is genuinely a good person.
Professor Jain is very helpful if you are struggling in performing the lab experiments or help understanding the calculations. The grading of lab reports is a bit strict, so make sure you have everything required for that lab and make sure your calculations are correct. I would suggest paying good attention to her pre-lab lectures to ensure this.
I love professor jain, she's so lovely
She comes off a little intimidating at first, but is willing to help. She reviews the steps and calculations of each lab in the beginning of class, and is open to questions throughout it. If you have any issues, make sure to sort them out with her in class rather than through email. The final was also not bad at all.
