This professor is horrible. She grades so hard! You only write 2, 3-5 page papers and then 2, 2-4 page papers. However, I put so much time and effort into my papers and ended up getting C's. She is so boring in class and acts like she is a good teacher. She doesn't explain her assignments on how she grades.

HORRIBLE professor! 3 essays, 1 presentation, conferences, and notecards. AND the entire semester is worth only 100 points. she grades hard and does not have any explanation on why she gave you that grade. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!

Despite going to class every day, no one could say what the point of the class was. Her grading expectations are never clear and are usually discussed after an assignment is turned in. She is very insensitive to racial and ethnic issues and is extremely bias in discussions involving them. The best way to describe this professor is non sequitur.

This is an easy class. However, she has an oddly strict attendance policy. You can't use the bathroom or you'll be marked absent. She also marks you absent if you don't bring material during group-work days, which are utterly pointless. You will learn nothing in the class except ways to passive-aggressively deal with her talking about her life.

Resa does not do a good job at explaining what she wants you to do for an assignment. Even if you work really hard and do EVERYTHING she is asking you to do, she finds something that she doesn't like will bring your grade down on the assignment because of it. Slow grader. I DO NOT advising anyone to take her unless you want your GPA drop.

Never gives feedback on papers, but roasts you when grading them. Very particular with grading and will always give you bad grades.

This professor expects way too much out of students. We had a bunch of papers due, some 7-10 pages long, & they were worth 15 POINTS!!! I worked hard for 15 POINTS!! she makes u do discussions and get 2 points for them... my d2l glitched and I couldnt turn in my 7 page paper worth 20 pts.. &she wont take it so Im going to FAIL !! DO NOT TAKE HER

Do not take Bizzaro if you have the option. I always got As in English, but her expectations go beyond an English 202 class. Very passive aggressive and does not explain anything well. She assigns things the day before its due and you have to email her though D2L which I never had to do for a professor. Shes terrible do NOT take her

She gives feedback on the discussions for things to fix and on assignments. When you fix what she tells you to she finds something else wrong even if she said everything else was right the time before . Then gives you lower grade. Doesnt tell you when things are going on. Is rude in emails .

Worst online class I have ever had. Her outline of the class is so confusing and you will not know what is going on. She does not help you and she isn't specific on what she wants. She grades hard and is very picky. She is so hard to talk to and doesn't really help, you have to teach yourself.

Absolutely abysmal professor. Her class assignments are cryptic and confusing and she offers almost no explanation. Her email responses are rude, and if you ask for help she just brushes it off and gives you a different explanation that is no help. DO NOT TAKE.

Gives really rude feedback to what you post in discussions. Very strict grader and seems careless about how hard you try. I had her for an online class so she may be different in person but she is very hard to like.

Literally the best at not being a professor. I emailed her question to which she would tell me to message to her over d2l, where she then did not answer my question. she is very good at doing minimal work. she will make your life as a student taking an online class living hell. I am at midterm and still don't know what is going on. DO NOT TAKE HER.

There are only a total of 100 points in the whole course. Its one thing to be a tough grader but another to be an unfair one. Even if you follow all the instructions/guidelines in the grading rubric for papers, she will still take off points for stuff not included in it. Each paper is only worth 15 pls,will take of several points few mistakes.

The text book definition of unprofesssional. A lazy grader, who will focus all her attention on your comma usage and MLA format rather then your ideas. She's selective in who she likes, based on some personal determination that has nothing to do with your abilities as a student. Her lectures will travel down an endless road of vapid, useless info.

She is literally terrible! I have always received A's in my English classes but she is ridiculous when it comes to grading. DO NOT TAKE HER!!! I really hope they fire her she is extremely rude she doesn't try to help you, even if you ask.

I typically do well in online classes and keep up regularly. I found it very odd that she was so very specific about her grading, but she won't grade your paper in a decent amount of time. Be prepared to write 7 page papers for 15-20 points. Oh, and don't forget MLA, she doesn't what you're writing about or how it's coming across, just use MLA.

Worst professor I have ever had in 3 years at IUP. Makes class impossible to pass if she doesn't like or agree with your writing topic. Just counters argument and uses that as justification for failing you on assignments. Very bitter /resentful should not be a teacher. Cares only about exercising her power to enforce the syllabus, not teaching

I ended up getting sick in this class. I got an extension on a paper and turned it in. She said there were few errors that we could go over. While in school Im very busy I forgot and she ended up giving me a Zero on the paper and refused to grade it. I had a C in the class and she ended up failing me. She doesnt want her students to succeed.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! This has been my worst professor at IUP. Her grading is insanely hard and you never seem to meet her unrealistic expectations. Literally get any other professor but her.

Would tell me how to fix something in my paper, only to mark that part wrong when I would turn in said paper. Would roast you in the discussion boards and in your feedback if she didn't like your topic. Felt belittled by her on one too many occasions.

She is very picky when it comes to grading papers. Does the bare minimum amount of work possible when it comes to showing you her expectations on what a good paper should be. Definitely avoid taking her if you need to take ENGL 202. Wait it out till next semester. In my class their were 26 students at the start, then 11 withdrew.

Very poor teacher. Went into her office hours to ask about a couple of the reasons why I lost points on a paper and she wasn't even able to show me what the deductions were for. Unclear assignment descriptions. Very unreasonable grader. You could do everything perfect in this class and she'll still deduct points for some reason. Don't take her.

I have never taken an English class this bad. The entire semester has a total of 95 points you can earn. NINETY-FIVE POINTS!! That is downright unfair. I already dislike online classes, and this is set up to fail. Instructions are vague and confusing, and the few assignments are graded strictly. Avoid and research your profs before scheduling.

Course objectives are extremely unclear, as well as the assignment objectives. Be ready to have peers review your papers. If they dont review it you lose points. For such a basic class, there is too much irrelevant work involved.

She is by far the worst professor in North America. She deserves to have her title revoked as professor and sent back to wherever she received her degree, she is not fit to be a professor at a university with the attitude i was given for no reason what-so-ever.

The most unclear course i have ever taken. Her due dates are skattered. Oh and youre only graded by 95 POINTS FOR THE WHOLE SEMESTER. SHE CANT EXPLAIN WHY YOU GET A BAD GRADE COMPETENTLY.

simply awful. her entire class emphasizes the topic of food and she is more concerned about the food content over the actual English aspect of what is supposed to be an English class. she leaves very rude comments on everyone's work and if I struggled with this class, I can't even imagine the number of people she has failed. DO NOT TAKE.

If you're a grad student looking for a diss advisor, don't ask Resa. She's petty, vindictive, mean, dishonest, confrontational, unprofessional, and unreliable. Her feedback is inconsistent and if you ask her to clarify it, she reports you to the program director as insubordinate. For years, her advisees have formed support groups to survive her.

There is no clear grading criteria in this class when it comes to doing papers. I always got As and Bs in previous English classes, but good luck if you choose to take this course.

Took her for English 202, by far she was the worst professor I've had at IUP. If you have a different point of view then her opinion she will tear you apart. Vindictive and unreasonable, I suggest you avoid her if you cherish your GPA.

This is the absolute worst class I've ever taken in my entire life. I love learning & I EXCEL in English. She is IMPOSSIBLE to work with, gives 0 direction & is a terrible communicator. I have gone days with unanswered questions/emails & then been penalized for guessing despite my unanswered questions. Expects you to plan your life around her. 0/5.

She is very deserving of being one of the 128 unfortunate faculty members due to IUP making cuts to fine arts. Hopefully someone of power at IUP checks this site to see how her ratings are. There are much better professors in the English department.

Non-understanding and rude. Doesn't grade or give feedback on your 'rough draft' until after the due date and then doesn't take 'late work'.

Would not recommend. Avoid this professor at all costs . I will give her credit though, she is the reason I started researching my professors before signing up for classes, my GPA is thankful for that.

She was very rude and during the final project I followed all of her instructions yet she gave me a D because my topic was too broad... after she agreed and read the paper and said it looked good.... I would not recommend taking her she mixes up information and after she says things look okay she changes her mind. Best to avoid her classes

Very tough and unfair grader. I would not recommend taking her under any circumstances. If youre used to getting As and Bs in prior English courses, you may be in for a surprise with this professor.

Only a few assignments but they are weighted extremely heavy. Never grades anything on time. Extremely unfair grader and hold bias. Her paper requirements are ridiculous. Rarely ever responds to messages. Gives very vague feedback on everything.

One of the worse teachers I've ever had. Doesn't actually teach anything just assigns work, and you better get ready to look at your syllabus because she will barely go over it. If you submit something early she has a problem with it and questions why you did it, if you submit something late she will not take it at all. 0 out of 5

Very tough grader. Would not recommend any student to take this course with her. You get hardly any feedback on the graded papers.

Watch out for her. She likes to tell you to be more specific in your paper topics and then doesn't help you find resources when you've gone too specific. She failed my final project because it wasn't what she wanted it to look like (not to mention this was over Quarantine and I couldn't make a poster to take to her from my bedroom)

Please please do not take her, the worst professor I had at IUP. Gives out the dumbest homework assignments and her final project is ridiculous, tons of work. She failed me, when I turned in all assignments. You fail someone for lack of effort/not showing up. Took the course again with different professor and received an A.

I literally wrote an essay about Donuts and the consumerism around donuts and she failed me because she didn't understand why I wrote the essay and she did not understand why I was talking about Dunkin Donuts. She also didn't understand what a Dunkin Donuts was. So please save yourself and take this class with a different prof I did and I passed!

Worse professor I have ever had, she honestly did not care about any of the students and once the add/drop period was up she said we would only zoom for 2 classes for the rest of the semester. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. It will tank you GPA and good luck asking to meet with her because it just shows how little she really cares about her students passing.

Shes an interesting person, not a lot of assignments. Weird instructions, and wont accept any late work.

I recommend taking a different professor if possible. I did a self assessment/discussion post assignment in one sitting. It's doing your own discussion plus responding to four other people. She got mad at me for doing it too quick, I did everything that was asked of me. She didn't like that.

Grades ridiculously hard. "self-assessments" of mine were always incorrect for some reason and when I would ask for feedback, she would tell me to reread the syllabus. Terrible at giving instructions. Would talk to the class like we were first graders when we would ask questions. Very nice lady, VERY VERY bad professor.

IF YOU ARE TAKING THIS COURSE CURRENTLY (SPRING 2022) AND ARE HAVING ISSUES EMAIL THE DEAN. IF YOU HAVE NOT TAKEN THIS CLASS, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH BIZZARO. She will not accept late work for ANY reason. The class only has 100 points overall so if you miss one assignment you are totally screwed. She uses the syllabus to cover her tracks.

She talks to you like you are dumb and just says to look at the syllabus, but that doesn't matter anyways because nobody can figure out how she grades anything.

Resa Bizzaro is the worst professor I've ever had. Only 100 total points throughout her entire course and grades extremely hard. Almost refuses to give you a clear description as to why you miss points. Doesn't care about her students by being extremely hard to get in touch with. Constantly hides behind her syllabus. DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.

If I could give her a 0 I would. She is by far the worst professor I have ever had at IUP. Gave me 0's on assignments for doing them all in 1 day instead of over a span of time. Gave me a 0 on my final research paper, yet won't answer any of my emails asking for an explanation. Doesn't care about her students, and doesn't explain anything.

Doesn't accept any late work, makes stuff due before the due date that is posted online, and the class is only out of 100 points.

Since the site took down my last review I wanted to make a second review because of how passionate I am about telling everyone I can to NOT take Dr Bizzaro's classes. By far the worst professor on campus, ruined my life. Does not grade with a rubric, harsh grader, no room for improvement, grades by few things.
