I love it when he does problems on the board and messes up 3 times and the STUDENTS have to correct him. Here's my advice for this class. Get a ti-89 and learn how to use it. It will basically give you an a . He skips some of the hard stuff of calc.

His accent is hard to understand, so be prepared to learn by using the book primarily. Be prepared to hear hello multiple times during a class and for him to raise his voice every time he says minus.
i hate him and his attitude. if the man just wants a pay check he should work in a place that doesn't effect others' futures.
Actually, he's not that hard to understand. He does drop grades and gives extra credit. The final is the easiest test he gives. It's really not that bad.

He is hard to understand, but he goes over things until you know it. Always willing to answer questions and provide out of class help. Hard tests but gives make-ups and is flexible.

This man argued with my friend for 10 minutes that computers are replacing calculators...ok whatever you say. Not clear, cannot teach, and is a detriment to anyone's education.

Dr. Kittappa is a horrible professor.Most of the students in my section are failing. If you are interested in learning mathematics don't take Dr. Kittappa.

I've never had a problem in any math course that I've taken. This class is by far the worst ever. Listen to everyone else on here, don't take this guy, he's a horrible teacher. I am going to have to drop the class, because I'd rather get a W than an F.
This guy cannot teach his way out of a paper bag. He speaks english, just very bad at it. Tells great stories....that make no sense what so ever. Pakistan/India or the land that you call home, might be a better call Dr. K,cause you aint a damn teacher.

Absolutely the worst teacher I have ever taken. You can never understand what he is saying and he is not helpful at all. Complicated tests and quizzes that make up your final grade, never collects hw or takes roll. If you have to take this course, opt for another professor!
The WORST that MU has to offer! Can't understand him, reads word for words from the book, does not give ANY help when asked! Learn the language and your subject pal! He didn't even hand us evaluations to fill out, he must know how bad he is! Look elsewhere during registration, don't take him! HELLO?

I just finished taking one of the worst quizzes in my life!!! I did the entire chapter review in the book to study for the quiz, and only maybe 1 or 2 of the questions were on the quiz. The rest I was blind-sighted with. And to make it worse he only lets us use a simple Calc not even a Scientific.

This was the easiest math class I've ever taken and probably the first one I've gotten an A in. He goes through things easy and makes only tests you on the easy stuff. Go for it.

Probably the worst math teacher I've ever had... I got an A in a Physics class the same semester that I bombed in his class... Hard to understand him with that heavy accent, and he makes an awful lot of mistakes for someone with a Ph.D. in mathematics.
Man on man. He is like 75 or 76. I failed every one of his tests. But you know what? I like the guy. I talked with him outside of class like he was a real human being and he gave me a C when I least deserved it. GO KITTAPA!!!! Kiss ass, smile a lot, and life will take its own path
Does not explain material well. Is confusing. Has annoying habits, ie, putting the word "hence" in every other sentence of his handouts, saying "ello?? ello?!" , "give it to me please!!" , and "ok? ... ok.". Spends half the class goign over homework and half teaching new material. None of it will be on any test/quiz. Take ikenaga, zhan, or blum.
Had him for retard intro math spring 05. The class was extremely easy and you'd have to be retarded to not ace it, but he's a total mess as a prof. Can't understand half the stuff he says, he just rambles and rambles and rambles and...you get the point. If the subject was hard I can't imagine having this guy.

Well guess what, for this you're going to HAVE to put in that extra effort on your part, and pay close attention to everything if it doesn't come easy. awful prof. really made precalc seem much harder than it is. I put effort into the class, I went to tutoring and always did hw and studied for tests. His style of teaching just wasn't for me. If you want to be successful in precalc I would never recommend Kittappa. *** I'm now retaking the course and have an A.

Professor Kitappa is an interesting teacher. He seems to know what he is talking about, but he wants most things done HIS way. He doesnt really explain things clearly. I would not advise taking him. Only if you have no other choice.
This guy has no idea whats going on. He constantly makes mistakes when he's "attempting" to do an example on the board. Is it a clue that half of the class had to get a tutor? the quizes are impossible, tests aren't too bad.
This guy has no clue as to what's going on. he likes to tell a lot of lies. even if you do pay attention and think you understand things, you really don't and you will fail almost every quiz. so no matter how hard you study or how much you think you understand you still won't get a good grade. do not take this class with him.

I am usually on the teachers side and i believe in working hard and all that. He knows what he's talking about, and he's the only one. He's quiet possibly the worse professor ever brought into a campus. Run while you can.
Dr. Kittappa is a great professor--he knows what he is talking about, is ALWAYS willing and ready to meet with students during office hours if you need help, and genuinely cares about his students. All I have to say is that I got an A in Dr. Wismers' class (the science teacher) and that alone should show my hard work and comprehension. But this teacher makes absolutely no sense, is very impatient and gets irritated and makes everything ten times harder than it is. Not to mention he hates the text book. Two words- good luck, he's an idiot.
I took this professor last semester and I can honestly say he is the worst teacher I ever had. The only good thing about the class is his funny shrill in his voice when he gets exited or what not.

The only good thing about this class is now that we are 3/4 through the semester I have aboue 12 kids in my class. If you need help you can get it and I still struggle. I got a 46% last test. Most people drop out way way way before the deadline. Make sure you know the Math Assistance Center hours off the back of your hand. Gonna need to visit a lot
Ok, im totally honest when i say this. The worste prof ever. I had this class in high school, and all he did was make me more confused. Totally incomprehensable, and even when you ask for help, he makes it more confusing. Half the people who start the class drop it. and people in my class have to correct him b/c he is that stupid. DONT TAKE HIM
The very first day he said he didn't blame us for being here because the school system has failed us, but ever since he's constantly been assuming that we know mathematical concepts most of us have never encountered. His classes feel more like we are being "told" about math rather than being taught. I'd recommend against taking any class with him.
This guy should just retire. He makes tons of mistakes each class and doesn't know how to explain the material- at all. Unless you are certain you can teach yourself and are a math prodigy, I suggest finding another professor. And if it's the only class open to add, good luck- you'll need it.
