HE is very easy
Very easy, just study the notes...
very easy
Very funny man. Has too many jokes to tell in one semester, but hey it sure makes learning fun and passes away time. :) This professor is very helpful, ie leniant. I strongly recommend him.

Super easy class. It is sometimes hard to sit through his lectures with his 'not-so-funny' jokes that he finds hillarious.
This was one of the easiest classes ever. If you can sit through his boring lectures with him telling stupid jokes than you will do good. I did not study for 3 of his tests and still made an A in his class. His labs are super easy b/c he tells you almost all of the answers. Highly recommend.
VERY EASY!! i never went to class, and only studied the old tests...they are the same each year...even the labs...its an easy A class
Great lab teacher, and he is very easy. Try to laugh at his jokes and he will like you better and they are occasionally funny. Just don't break the lab rules to many times (though you can get away with flip-flops every now and then).
He is very cool and funny
Yes it's true, his jokes aren't so funny...but they helped me remember how to do things on tests because every joke has something to do with chemistry. He's very understanding. We would not move on to the next chapter until everyone understood what was going on. Highly reccommend.

His class is really easy! No his jokes aren't funny, but there might be one or two you will laugh at...only because he is making fun of himself! It's especially easy if you have some one the old test to study by. There are 4 different test and 4 versions of each test so if you study one or two you might have a chance at making a good grade.
just what everyone says, the jokes just absolutely make your eyes rolls, but the class is easy. I almost failed high school chem and I pulled a B in his class. He assignes homework but doesn't ask for it..it's strictly up to you to do it. He is very helpful and moves at a good pace. I hate chemistry but I loved his class. I definitely recommend him
He joke ALOT but its not funny at all lol but hes very nice and if you study his tests arnt that bad. You have to study though to make it and his labs are actaully kind of fun.
I don't know what everyone is talking about. He is the funiest profssor I have ever had. Plus even if you don't think his jokes are funny, he is still funny to look at. Also helpful and the class is fairly fun and easy if you go unlike I did.
incredibly easy! attendance is not mandatory. you can buy all of the notes for the semester the notes at the beginnning of the semester. you never even have to go as long as you study the notes before tests, and know someone in ur class (he doesnt tell you when he will give tests until 2 or 3 days before and the dates are not on the syllibus)
He seems to know what he is doing. He has a goofy personality with really weird jokes that most people don't get. I usually don't at least.
Super easy class. He drops the lowest test grade and the tests are easy but you have to look over the notes. He even gives you notes already typed up so you don't have to take any in class. The homework is for your benefit only, you dont' have to do it, but you should. And if you have any questions he'll explain it clearly the next class.
You'll never turn any homework in, he provides all the notes on BB, all his tests are 100 questions multiple choice, he drops the lowest test grade, there is a quiz every week but it is only BONUS so it will never count against you. Labs are also pretty easy as long as you follow the directions. You'll get over his cooky personality and lame jokes.
Clear and concise..witty sense of humor(more a British style). he expects you to be in class and lab. he provides you many tools to pass his class quizzes and web labs are all extra credit. you got to try real hard to do poorly in his class.
Good teacher!! Thinks he is hilarious and laughs at himself. He is a really clear and concise teacher. Really helps the kids out. ATTEND THIS CLASS FOR SURE!!
Hes very different but in a funny way. He jokes a lot but you get used to it because it keeps you entertained. I never went to lecture i just studied the notes and did fine. Hes really nice and is definitely not boring. He drops the lowest test grade and quizes are extra credit. Easy class if you put in any effort at all
Jokes get real annoying and sitting in class makes you want to go crazy but over all wasnt a bad class. Doesnt go by the syllabus but rushed a little too much at the end of the semester. STUDY STUDY STUDY
Awesome
AWESOME.
On my first day of his class I was taken by surprise. By the end of the semester I found the perfect word to describe Mr. Gamble... Quirky. He is an excellent teacher though. Once you get used to his quirkiness you come to expect it and it's a great little break from the exhaustion of learning chemistry. There is lot's of work to do, but an easy A.
Gamble is a great teacher! There is a lot of work involved. Just study previous test, do your homework, show up to lab, do all lab work, and DO THE QUIZZES. Ended the coarse with a 104. Easy A, you just have to get past the not so funny jokes through lecture.
He gives you the class notes on line. All his tests come from the notes. There is a lot of work to do for lecture and lab. But there is a lot of bonus points incorporated with the assignments. Do the quizzes with the homework. Do attend the review session with Margie.
Easy A for Fundamentals Chem. There is a lot of work, but easy. Weekly you have a wkst, hw, test, and quiz ALL online, can use any sources, Literally. Quiz are bonus. Take Risher for lab. Show up to class. Gamble is not helpful makes you feel dumb if you ask a question and not funny. Just laugh and will be more respected. Recommend for an easy A.
I hated this class with a passion. Gamble gave roughly 150 questions per week, with quizzes, homework, tests, and labs. His lectures are convoluted and a waste of time. There's a ton of extra credit that you should do if you want to make a good grade. It's possible but I came out of this class learning absolutely nothing.
Gamble is interesting to say the least. Everything is online aka look things up and gives TONS of extra credit. DO IT. Had a 120 before the final, didn't study and got a 95 in the class. I had Gamble for lab but I do suggest taking Risher for lab because she gives lab test reviews, aka the answers. Recommend for an easy A!
Gamble is really quirky and goofy! He is the easiest teacher i've ever had at tarleton. I got an A in CHEMISTRY - i know right?? You will pass his class with flying colors if you just do all of the online stuff - vocab, pre labs, worksheets and the quizzes/tests on masteringchemistry (i failed half of the tests on there and still made an A) SO EASY
Gamble was awesome! I had him for class and lab, there is a lot of work for his class, like wrkshts, quizes, hw, however most is extra credit, and it's an easy A. His grader, Risher, is hard to get ahold of but once you do she is very helpful. He's weird and annoying but keeps chemistry interesting! Definitely recommend him!!
He is one of the wonderful professor in the Tarleton. Only thing I don't like about him is he screams unconditionally during the class. Lots of extra credit things. Review before test. He is always nice to help.
He's smart he knows what he's teaching but expect hours of homework worksheets pre-labs in class work and I mean hours! He also gives out extra credit take advantage of it! He's strange in the sense he makes jokes that are irritating then seconds later is angrily screaming at the class for something or just because it matters to him. Strange being.
LOT of homework, very time consuming. But if you do it, its an easy A. You get points for attendance through Mastering Chem. Labs are fun and easy. He's got a weird sense of humor, but you get used to it. He kinda looks like Peter Griffin if you think about it. All around nice guy.
Gamble has an interesting sense of humor and makes chemistry labs forever long, but he does usually help with in class labs. He does give a lot of homework and you have one major project at the end of the semester. If you can "grin and bear it" then I would take his class.
Looks like Peter Griffin. Try's to make jokes that aren't funny, constantly yelling during lecture for no reason. But on the bright side I forgot to do homework sometimes and the entire time I had no clue what was going on and I still passed. Just be prepared get a major headache during lecture and do all the homework and you will pass this class.
Gamble has a strange sense of humor, but just show up to class and do the masteringchem and all the extra credit and you'll pass with flying colors! Just make sure you go to lab since you can't pass chemistry without passing lab!
Not bad as long as you attend class. The test are VERY hard but the reviews help out. Lab is super easy
Easy to see Gamble loves his job and students. His humor is strange but if you go along with him in class it goes by quickly. You do have a lot of homework but he sets up his grading for you to pass. I Dropped the first time when taking 15 hours and I wouldn't recommend him with a heavy schedule. Overall he is clear, understanding, and helpful!!
Save yourself and don't take this professor. He is very strange and says inappropriate and dirty jokes thinking they're funny. When the class doesn't laugh, he gets mad and screams at the class. There is a ton of homework also
Gamble is somewhat strange however he does give extra credit within online assignments. Lab is way easier than lecture and can help your grade alot. Tests are quite difficult and are the ones that either make or break your grade. If you take him make sure to fully understand what is being taught, if not its easy to get behind.
He is extremely strict. Treats students like they are in grade school. If you talk during class be prepared to get screamed at and singled out in front of everyone.
Rex is a good professor. He's smart, and he knows what he's talking about. The issue is the way he conducts himself. The best way to describe him would be a cross between Rick Sanchez and Peter Griffin, thin skinned people beware. Lots of extra credit and "show up" points, but very homework heavy. If you do the assignments on time you will pass.
He starts out good and then flies through the material. Do not take him. He doesn't explain good at all.
TAKE HIM! During class he can be seriously annoying but just bring ear buds. Homeworks are all on chegg from mastering chem so EASY A if you do every homework assignment and learning catalytics. Your have 2 lecture test which doesn't require much studying. Its extremely hard to not get an A in this class!!! Awesome teacher.
Don't talk in his class or be expected to be yelled at for 5 minutes. His lectures are long and boring, but he has the notes online if you don't wanna pay attention. Tests aren't that difficult if you study. Do the MasteringChemistry assignments and show up to class & do the LearningCatalytics because it'll help your grade in the end.
Doing all the mastering chem well gets you far. No need for class if you do learning catalytics on time. Get a tutor and do all the extra credit. I couldn't listen to him in lecture and managed to get an A in the class
Gamble talks to you like you're stupid, and will randomly start yelling at the drop of a hat. He posts the chapter notes though, so you'll still have the information if you don't go. I recommend renting the book because i learned more from that than i did the actual professor. Make sure to do learning catalytics because that gives you bonus points.
I literally never went to his class and made an A. The learning catalytic you can do from home even though he says you can't. Just pull it up at your lecture time from home and it'll be there. The online tests are bs all the answers are on quizlet, and the in class tests are super easy. As long as you do everything you'll get an A.
The study guides he posts online for you to use before midterms and finals are nothing like the actual thing. He'll also tell you to keep all of his tests throughout the year cause they're the exact same thing as those two, but it seemed like the opposite for me. Yells a lot randomly. Not very friendly. Wouldn't recommend honestly.
Hes super funny. Always cracks jokes. Hes always there to help if you have any questions. Hes very considerate if youre going through something (personal like family problems). Homework is a must and its online. He knows technology messes up so he tries his best to fix the problem. He does pass out little notes that can be used on tests.
Very nice professor and will help you with anything if you need it. He's understanding and has offered a lot of bonus credit this semester which has helped my grade. MasteringChem is a must or you will do poorly overall. Most of lecture grade comes from MasteringChem which is ONLINE. I also had him for lab and highly recommend.
Mr. Gamble is a character. He says a lot of crazy jokes during class and flies through his notes if you are behind on material. Be prepared to be completely confused at times and feel completely stupid but if you do all your homework and go to class to receive learning catalysts points you will be guaranteed an A. Lab is an easy A as well.
Even though his weird humor is hard to deal with, he's still a good professor that wants to see his students succeed. If you attend lab and don't miss any as well as attend lecture, you get so many bonus points that help in the end when it comes down to the final. The more bonus, the less you have to make on the final.
I LOVED taking Chem with Gamble. There is online homework pretty much every week, but it's easy to find the answers online or questions similar to it online. You get points for attendance & there is so much extra credit--do the extra labs and all of your homework and its hard not to make an A. He's a great professor and super helpful.
Gamble's class was interesting to say the least. He was an interesting sense of humor that you either like or dislike. There is online homework every week. He gives a lot of extra credit in lecture and lab, I took him for both which I recommend. I only use the textbook for homework help.
I would not recommend taking Mr. Gambles class if you give up easily. He designed this class so that it really makes you work for it, and its definitely worth it. Always go to the SI meetings, always go to class, and always do your homework. Gamble will try to scare you but dont let it get to you. Just do the work and you'll do fine.
This course is supper to earn an A in ONLY IF YOU WORK FOR IT. It is supper important that you do ALL the bonus and HOMEWORK!!! That is an easy way to earn point because his test are not easy. You probably won't need a textbook for this class. He does assign a lot of homework and test online after every chapter though.
I loved taking Gamble because he offers so much extra credit. I made two C's, an A and one B on all the tests and I made an A because I did all the extra credit. Do all the extra credit, and you will get an easy A. Also, he takes attendance by learning catalytic, which is an online website that you can access from home. So, you can stay home.
Do your mastering chemistry,do well in lab (easy) , do your extra credit, you should get an easy A.
Overall good professor, with a sense of humor. The online homeworks are much harder than the test so do those and go to lecture and you will be fine. He walks you through labs so they are easier. Lots of extra credit point opportunities. I am a straight-A student & ended up making a 106 in the class b/c of extra credit. Prof. wants u to succeed!
He is very hilarious , I lowkey thinks he has multiple personalities, because he is happy one minute, yells out of nowhere, and uses different voices everyday! One time he yelled at me when I was barely putting on my goggles for lab. Other than that, do the online assignments, go to class everyday, and do the learning catalytic! I passed with A!
He is such a strange person. But if you try you will pass. lots of homework make sure you get help.
Very strange man but wants you to pass. Attend lecture and do online/in class questions and eventually you will get extra credit. Do all the online homework (harder than the actual tests) and attend lab. Easy opportunities to get the points if you just do the assignments. TONS of extra credit.
great teacher! always cracking joke. very understanding and is willing to work with you if need, he gives lots of extra credit so take advantage!!
take him! he's great. he is hard not to like. friendly man
great professor! I would definitely take him again!
he is not for everyone but personally, he has been the one of the best professors i have had here at tarleton. he is super understanding and wants you to succeed!
Professor Gamble really wants you to succeed in his class. He provides SO many bonus opportunities for you to cushion your grade, ample resources to help you understand chemistry concepts, and his exams are not complicated. You will have a lot of homework, but it is possible to complete everything by the deadlines. Be prepared to set aside time!
If you show up to the lecture and take the quizzes you get extra points. He has plenty of extra credit opportunities, use them!!!! He is a little strange with his jokes and random outburst of banter but he's a cool professor who keeps his students informed and on top of things
Lots of extra credit which is how I made an A. Otherwise very difficult.
The only reason why I passed this class was extra credit. He is hard to pay attention to because he gets off track so much. This was a online class and so we would watch labs and just fill reports off of that I did exactly that and got accused of cheating when I just did what he told me to do. I am not the only one he has done this to.
If you dont pass his class with an A it is solely your fault. Even though it is a lot of work, it is an easy class. Chapter HW and Test for each chapter and TONS of extra credit. Do your work on time and do the extra credit and you will be fine.
Professor Gamble's personality is a little weird, but it adds to his class and lectures. Definitely pay attention to lectures, there are LOTS of homework, so set aside time for that. He also has LOTS of extra credit, so for sure take advantage of that, that can boost you to an A in his class by the end of the semester.
NO way to fail this class. So many extra credit opportunities to go from a C-A. Homework is challenging (online), but not terrible. He is funny awkward weird, but one of the better professors I've had. Easy grader if you have all info provided. Strict on due dates. Test are exactly the info you study, lab test easy. Highly recommend this class!!
Lots of homework, but you have to get it done. There is multiple opportunities for extra credit, so do them if your grade is low. Lecture tests are fairly simple. Weird dude, but worth the lecture time, super flexible. Offers zoom.
This guy is kind of weird but sometimes he's pretty funny. He's very flexible and pretty kind and understanding. He offers so much extra credit it took my grade from 91 to 117 and I did not even do it all. There is a whole lot of homework that sucks but if you don't do it you will fail. But overall pretty good class would take him again if I could.
Very funny teacher! READ THE SYLLABUS! He is the best and funniest teacher I've had. He made going to class worth it. I would take his class again in a heartbeat. Lab was super fun and interesting as well. He made chemistry not so terrible.
LOTS of homework. his tests are hard but he provides everything you need to study for him. his lectures are long and he sometimes he will go on these weird tangents, but he is a good professor.
He is an amazing teacher. Yes, a bit weird, but if you can get past the oddness he really does care about his students. He communicates well you just have to email him. He really was a fun teacher and I would take him again. His homework and extra credit will save you if you fail all the tests. You will be just fine!
Dr. Gamble is a nice guy, weird, but nice. I took his lab class for 1407 chemistry and he offers SOQ many extra credit opportunities. Took my 92 to a 133! If you have the chance to take him as a lab professor, do it! I will say he is strange but he is funny, he talks in 3rd person and makes conversations of how us students would talk to him.
Makes very inappropriate comments and does not go off of his notes! The class had to teach each other because his lessons were worthless! I've never had such a terrible professor in my three years at this college.
DO NOT take this class online. You will have to buy up to $450 just for the materials for the class and then buy additional materials for the labs to do in your home. He provides an hour to two hour lecture videos that do not help with the assignments whatsoever.
Gave tons of extra credit!
Great professor, and kept me engaged in a somewhat not-interesting course. He has some quirks, but he is funny. Made every lab and lecture enjoyable. His tests are online, except for the final. Very enjoyable class.
He is lowkey funny, but sometimes the jokes do not make sense, he is genuinely comprehensive by grades and work, and he has a bunch of extra credit so you would not fail. The bad thing is that he does not have SI sessions.
Class seems scary at first, but its not bad once you learn how it works. Strange man, but caring. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT. It can raise your grade by a letter.
He assigns a decent amount of homework but offers a ton of extra credit opportunities. His lectures are a little boring and hard to understand at times; however, he is willing to help you if you attend office hours. Don't forget about your weekly assignments like I did because they ARE due mid-day in the middle of the week.
Class content can be challenging at times, but if you do the homeworks, go to class, and do all of the extra credit, you WILL make a good grade.
This guy is a strange man for sure. And no, I did not learn any chemistry by the end of it. However, because I came to class and did all the extra credit, I was able to make a C on my lecture exams and be able to pass the class with an A by getting a 4 on the final test. Don't let his grading scale stress you out. Show up and do the extra credit!
