THIS PROFESSOR TEACHES VERY GOOD, TEST ARE EASY AND QUIZES TOO. THE ONLY THING I DO NOT LIKE ABOUT HIM, IT IS HE DOESN'T CARE TO MAKE FUN OF YOU, AND TREAT YOU LIKE AN IGNORANT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT ANSWER. BUT BESIDES THAT, HIS CLASS IS NOT HARD AT ALL. YO CAN PASS WITH AN "A" EASILY.

The prof is funny, casual, and strict on grading. The class requires that you read everything he covers in class. If you don't understand anything in class or in the book, ask and he will help you. This class helps to build vital study skills allowing one to achieve ones dreams. Take him. He'll teach you to survive and succeed in college.

He is GREAT!! Its 30% Quiz's, 35% midterm, and 35% final!! He is there to make sure you pass! Quiz's are very simple. They are common sense. What he says is what is on the TEST!! All goes over what you need to know!!

If you're in med. field. take him ! It's a challenging course because there is ALOT to know but he keeps you on your game.Ex: pop quiz everyday but they're easy if you just quickly go over what you did the class before.Makes class interesting& understandable&helpful.but again it's challenging, b/c it's alot to know.Just do as he says&you'll do fine

fair teacher. assignments are confusing but read and study, you'll get it. teachers straight out of the book. quizzes at the beginning of every class. sidetracks A LOT! as long as you study you should be fine.

Look, the people who gave Prof Acurio bad reviews probably didn't put in the time/effort to learn A&P. He IS a GOOD professor, and CHALLENGES you to LEARN the subject material. This isn't a class you can slack in, but he DOES explain things very well and if you DO put in the time, you will get an A in the class. The final was hard, but I got an A.

I took his class after looking at the reviews and it was nothing like it. He is a really funny, and enjoyable prof. I passed with a B but with a little more effort to the midterm and I could of gotten an A. Just study, not that hard...He knows his stuff

Great for med students! Not easy b/c there's ALOT of info. Easy quizzes everyday & help with your grade on the material from last class. Best science/anatomy teacher I've ever had. Take a lot of notes (you'll need the book) & try not to miss any classes. If you genuinely want to learn & are passionate about the med field, take him!

Believe or not (and I understand why some people may disagree w me) he's a good teacher. He knows the material, he makes the class entertaining, yes! he can be sarcastic but ... In conclusion, if you study, take notes (from his lecture) you will pass class. I took him for both BSC 1 & BSC 2 (and lab) no issues and passed with A and B.

i took this guy, man, and what a guy, man. i had to work for my grade, no kidding. but i got an A and i felt like i got twelve hundred A's in life, at the end of that semester. he's fair, and has his rules, but follow them and go in there expecting to learn. don't play no games with this guy.

Dr Acurio is a very strict professor but he relaxes you by his jokes. But take him very seriously as he is passionate about his work. He gives a daily pop quiz on the previous class notes.

Acuiro is awesome! I took his class during the summer (which was accelerated) and he broke things down in a way that helped me to remember a lot. If U show him that youre taking an interest in his class, he will take an interest in teaching U! I don't know what more he can do to help U pass. I was working & taking 8 credits that summer & got a B.

I failed anatomy before with another professor and I got a B with Mr. Acurio. I'm taking the blended version 50% in class/ 50% online. 12 quizzes, drops 4 lowest scores. 4 exams, drops 1. The man is an angel!

He is a great professor, he knows his stuff inside and out. He wants you to learn it. You must do the work he asks of u and do it how he asks u 2 do it. Pay attention to detail. If u are taking his class it is because u want 2 learn 4 ur future profession not because u want 2 get a passing grade and still not know anything about the subject.

Dr. A is a good professor. He makes analogies to help you understand. He puts in his part. If you procrastinate you won't pass. in all he is a good professor to me.

Dr. A is a great professor. He is very strict but he makes jokes to lighten the mood. He explains the material well and he makes you work for every grade you'll earn in the course. If you want an easy A, he is not the professor for you. If you study and do as he says you're guaranteed a passing grade. I enjoyed his class and I recommend him.

The best science teacher I ever had. He is a very nice teacher and funny. If you don't understand the material he will break it down and explain it to you. Come to class all the time because you might miss something. If you study and put effort into your work you will pass. He drops the lowest test scores and quiz scores.

Prof. Acurio makes his class fun and helps you to understand by teaching in every day terms. He's not easy and if you think you can just show up and get an A, don't take him. You have to work for your grade but his class is worth it.

he is a great professor! his tests are tough but if you study his material you will pass. online quizzes only 5 questions each. he gives 3 assignments that are pretty easy mainly drawing and labeling structures which he gives more than enough time to complete. if you do everything he asks you shouldnt get lower than B so don't slack off. I took him online and for antomy II I took him blended. I love his lectures. Of course he is there to give a basic undestanding this is college not middle school. I study his power points. I passed both classes with A. I learn so much.

Took this guy as dual enrollment, didnt have a book, but man this class was great. He is hilarious, he explains well, class passes by fast and it was a 2 12 hour class. Read the book, if you have one, pay attention, read powerpoints and watch youtube. He will point out what he want you to know sometimes. Quizzes are onlineeasy. Great class.

I actually loved him, he is hilarious i laughed and enjoyed every class, his lectures are great and he breaks thinks down. however do not be fooled you do have to read and study. there is no study guide. do the online assignments if your class is enhanced. you can use any textbook but i recommend using the one sold at the school.

He's probably one of the best lab teachers broward has to offer. but i took it with his lecture. quiz every class worth 5 points. midterm and final aren't that simple, but its not under his control (you have to study the figures on your own) attend the practices at the student success center it'll help a lot.

I took BSC2086 lecture and despite all of the bad reviews, he's a good teacher. His lectures really helped me understand and retain the material. It's a lot of material and since it was a blended class I had to finished reading chapters on my own. However, the quizzes and assignments are easy. The tests aren't so hard if you take notes.

I took his lecture blended he was Great teacher but the exams seem to be from another book, notes that were taken in class were not even helpful for the exams but are helpful on the quizzes. He gives quizzes for each chapter plus assignments you must do them all to pass.

I did the blended class - Anatomy & Psy. I. There was so much work to do but I learned lots and had fun in his lectures. The online quizzes were pretty difficult and the class lectures only covered every other chapter. Very broad expectations on what you need to know so the work was exhausting, but I would take his blended course again.

Professor Acurio is a great professor. He is always in a good mood and making jokes. If there is something you do not understand he will help you until you feel you understand the material. He does give homework and a few assignments but if you put in the time you will get a good grade. He also gives extra credit.

Professor Acurio is a good professor and I found his jokes and funny connections to anatomy to actually be helpful and made things easier to remember. He does teach using a prerecorded video of the textbook but pauses frequently to explain and tells what will be on tests. offers extra credit, and test are very easy. 16 quizzes but only 5 mins each

Hes so caring and he actually does everything in his power to help his students as much as he can. Id take him over and over again. The assignments are Connect and 16 home quizzes that are 5 minutes. Two group projects and 4 exams. The connect is due at the end of the semester and is worth 30 points and he gave 30 extra credit points. Take him!

No homework. Come to class as much as you can. Videos played in class going over what will be on your test, can access videos from D2L to study. Study guide available. 22 Extra credit points. Dont need to spend 100$ on books he gives alternatives. 2 group projects that are easy to split up. 13 quizzes with 5 questions, 5 mins to answer. 4 Tests.

He plays videos in his class that he recorded himself, but, he pauses them, and goes over what the videos says. There is group project. All quizzes are online. But testing are in class. Here a great professor when i told i was taking anxiety pill due to co-vid 19. i was fear of my life of getting it . thank god he didn't get or i . Do not miss his class on blackboard . No excuse can cover but when you ill . I believe good thing do happen to good people. Also homework and practical are easy.

Literally the best profesor, Im taking him again for Anatomy 2. Only thing Id say is a down is that for test and quizzes you have a minute per question but theyre super easy. His classes are amazing and he truly trys to help everyone. Definitely recommend him!
