THIS GUY IS THE ABSENT MINDED PROFESSOR. WHO HIRES THESE PEOPLE? THIS GUY IS TEACHING MY MBA?
His tests are exactly from questions you go over in class. He's real nice outside of class, always says hello. He made class fun, eventhough stats in general isn't the most exciting subject.
Hes a cool guy. Hes nice. Barely speaks the language. His tests are rediculous and he never gave partial credit. I knew my**** and still didnt do too well on his tests. But its not that bad.
hard teacher but fair. if you like math you'll like this class, if not it'll be hard.
Prof. Reza is of avearage easiness. The exams, of which there are 3 are strictly based from classwork. If you get 90 or over on the final, you get an A. Reza is the Master of Stats - disregards the book. You actually don't need the book because what he says is correct according to MOS. Pace = Fast.
Clear, understandable, explains very well. Absolutely great personality. Test is on class material only, no surprises. I recomend him.
Reza is a very good prof. His class is hard though. Don't miss a class or you'll fall behind. Also pay attention since the tests come directly from what he covers in class. I wouldn't say the class is easy, but get on his good side and you'll have a much more enjoyable time in class.
He is the best teacher ever and he made it a lot easier for me to understand this course.
Explainations are clear and concise. Thoroughly reviews all the material before tests. Gives plenty of time for the tests. No surprises. A nice guy and easy grader. I got an 85 on midterm and 70 something on the final but he gave me an A. Highly recommended!
The BEST DS Professor we got in schl U ROCK MY WORLD Dr. Reza...
A Great Professor. He really cares about his students and knows how to explain the material.Take him if you can.
This guy is a good man...he lets you out like an hour early and he doesn't check homework...his tests are a bit difficult but he will do everything possible to help you...take him
Patient teacher. Course material is review but some of the material was a bit off the wall (as in non-utilitizable) for a refresher course. The tests were fairly challenging but fair enough...the pass standard was very lenient.
horribleeee!!!!!
Great teacher. I had three classes with him, very patient and goes over the materials clearly. He is always available for students and make sure that you pass the class
I got an A in this class. I had this professor for Computer Information System, and I don't feel that he was prepared for this class. He didn't seem to know a lot about the subject. He was always contridicting himself.. in one class he'll say that project 2 is due next week, when next week came he'll ask for project 3. Very forgetful.
This Professor spend a lot of time with students. Easy exams. All MC. Take him if you can
This is the class that you don't want to miss. There are 12 computer projects that you learned a lot, Exams are fair and easy, This guy is so nice and very helpful.
Excellent Professor. You will learn and get a good grade. Always willing to help. Exams are a little hard but he adds 5-10 points on each exam. Take notes, study, and go to class. Take him if you can, you will not regret it. Great prof.
He is a very nice and helpful person. Extra credit problem is always available if you doing bad on his exams. Take him if you can.
What a nice and helpful professor. Learned a lot in his class.
I had him during the Summer. What a nice and helpful professor. Learned a lot in his class.
An Exceptional professor who knows the material very well. He is very respectful to his students and wants them to do well. His lectures are very interesting and will let people out early most of the time. He throws some humor into his lectures to make the class more interesting. Very Highly Recommended!!! And you will def. learn! Take Him!!!
WOnderful professor, really cares about his students..just come to class and study really hard for the final and u can get in A.
If you go to class, and do the work you'll do well. It's a really easy class as long as you pay attention. All the hw is extremely easy. Just study for the tests and you'll get a good grade. Hard to understand though sometimes
An excellent professor who knows the material very well and very helpful to students. Just pay attention to his lectures and do all the HW's, U do ok.
He is a really nice person and very helpful. Tries to make a boring subject interesting. He reviews before each exam. Take him.
Very Helpful professor. Gives extra credit to those that needs to boast up your grade. Gives 3 tests through the semester. If you pass the final with a 90 or above, he gives you an A for the whole semester with no exceptions even if you never come to class or fail the 2 previous exams. Very Reasonable. And he lets you out 1 hour early. TAKE HIM!!!
Excellent and very helpful professor. Gives a lot of assignments during the semester and always available if you need his help outside the classroom. Take him
He gives alot of long homeworks and sometimes he randomly checks if you did it. There are 2 tests and a final. If you get above a 90 on the final, you will get an A regardless of what you got on the first 2 tests.
Great prof, easy class easy A. Definitely suggest taking him. He gives you the answers to all his tests so you can study, overall really nice and pleasant person. NEVER GET CAUGHT CHEATING THOUGH HE IS SERIOUS WITH WHAT HE SAYS.
Not an easy class by any stretch of the imagination, but he does everythig in his power to make it easy and helpful. Not an easy A, but definitely worth taking (even on a Saturday morning) for stats so you don't get some of the other useless professors.
Definitely not an easy class for Stats I or II...However, having said that I took him for both classes...I'm not mathematically inclined at all, and he did everything he could to make the class easy to understand...he will do everything in his power to make sure you pass, as long as you put the effort in, and don't slack off. Truly a great man.
I really enjoyed having him as a professor.
Class seemed intimidating in the beginning. Prof. E. hands out all notes so you will not need the book but you will get a few lbs worth of notes. Overall he's a good professor and i'd take his course again. Not easy but you can get an A with effort.
Very nice professor and he is responsive to emails. He is willing to stop for you in class if you're confused. It is difficult to study for his tests because there is just so much material to cover from books. His tests are all MC and about 105 questions.
It is a difficult subject, but he makes them very easy and helpful. He tells you exactly what chapters will be on the test and reviews all of them. He gets very upset if someone cheats. He is always available in his office and responds quickly youremails.
Dr. Eftekharzadeh is one of the best professors to take for CIS. So easy and lets you out an hour early. He gives you 3 exams and hands you the answers a few weeks before. EASY A!!!
He has a pretty thick accent AND he speaks quietly. I had a hard time understanding him and I sit in the middle of the class. There is classwork as well as homework on Excel. The midterm and final is 100 MC each. He gives you the test bank with ALL the questions & answers for the midterm and final, so if you don't ace them, you suck...
Great professor! Accent is kind of thick but very clear with instructions and teachings. Three exams based on problems done in class, so go and pay attention in class! Homework of 1-2 problems from textbook per class. Allows formula sheets for exams. Participation in class is only a boon.
This was my first online class and I really learned a lot. The professor was very helpful.
What a nice and caring professor. I enjoyed his class. He spends a lot of time on homeworks and makes sure you fully understand the subject.
The subject is hard with that being said he allows you to use the formula sheet on the exams and he goes over and over the problems on the exams. he doesn't use the book for his lectures but does give homework out of the book. Don't drop the class he really works with you, you just have to try.
The subject is hard but he allows you to use the formula sheet on the exams and he goes over and over the problems on the exams. Don't drop the class! I failed the first two exams. He said if I got a 90 on the final, I would get an A in the class. I got that A. Do NOT DROP! If he sees you putting in the effort he will work with you!
Overall good professor. He wants his students to do well. HW given for almost every class. One presentation; three tests. laptop required. Final was too much to study for- some concepts not taught in class, but the positive is he gives you the possible questions in advance. He could be more prepared with his lectures and show examples from scratch.
i had two classes with him and got A in both classes. He spent a lot of time with the students to make sure they pass the class with good grades. Take him.
A very interesting and enjoyable class. Exams were easy.
Worst class to me! I thought he was an easy professor, I took him because I read comments below, but it turned out completely different. Class went so fast, and never explain detail (only let students seek help to those A+ genius students), still teach new stuff even a week before the final. avoid if you seeking for easy Stats professor
It's a 3 hour class and he covers a LOT during every lecture. Don't skip class even once unless you want to screw yourself over. There are 3 exams. If you don't do well on the first 2 exams but get a 90+ on the final, you get an A in the class. The tests are HARD. Did all the work correctly but got the wrong answer? NO CREDIT. You have been warned.
He's a nice guy, or he tries to be. Gives extra credit when you need it. But he gave a review packet for the exam, 2 days before the exam. The review packet is 180 pages, which means about 1000 questions... while the exam has only maximum 100 questions. So you could basically know 90% of the review and still bomb the exam.
Has a heavy accent which makes him hard to understand. Willing to give extra credit if you need. Tests however do not correlate with the classwork AT ALL. Gives a very long review document (1000+ questions) a few days before the test. Great if you have a photographic memory and 10 hours to study but if not, do not take him.
Whatever you do, DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS. Extremely unprepared for class, very unorganized, unclear with lectures, goes over two chapters a class, just ridiculous. Don't know how he's a doctor in his field. Went for extra help, he was doing his own work. Did decent on 1st exam, did horrible the 2nd. only good thing is final exam can save you. AVOID!!
Very helpful professor. Exams are fair. Review questions are available. Don't miss his classes.
Took him for Stats 1 and 2. Great professor, extremely willing to help. Go to his office hours if youre confused and he will be more than happy to let you know what the focus of his exams are. Didn't do too well in his first stats class, but got an A on the second stats class.
He is incredibly hard to understand, mumbles into the board, and starts class without saying hello or good morning. His teaching style for this class isn't good for visual learners. He spends most of the time talking. Don't sit in the back and don't sit near the air conditioner if you want to have any clue what is happening.
The worst teacher I have ever. If you see you have him drop the class immediately, then run. It's honestly that bad. There's no way he has a college degree. Has zero curriculum and exams are irrelevant to class discussion.
Do not take him! He lost ALL of my homeworks from the entire semester. He makes up assignments out of nowhere, then forgets that he assigns them (this goes for exams too). He doesn't teach- just types random things into the computer. Lastly, for his exams, he gives you about 200 pages of review, which has about 4 relavant pages in it.
I have never seen a more incompetent professor in my entire academic career. He is disorganized, even with two GA's to assist him. He doesn't even teach, just does random excel problems that he expects everyone to follow along too. His tests don't even test what you do in his class. It's about 130 pages of review of which he only tests 10.
Even if you try to avoid this professor for CIS, your other options aren't any better. This prof really doesn't know how to teach. We just copied what he did on excel the whole semester. Tests are absolutely ridiculous. Expects you to memorize 100+ pages2,000+ MCQs. If you have a stellar memory then good for you. If not, you're screwed like I was
The test review is over 100 pages consisting of 500 + multiple choice. The test is 100 of those questions. Don't understand what he says. What we do in class is not on the test. The homework is ambiguous but due every class. He is an Okay professor. If you get an A on the final but do bad on everything else he will give you an A. Not a hard teacher
He's really hard to understand and his lectures consist of copying what he does on Excel. Gives review packets that are about 1000+ questions a couple days before the test. Tests are decent. I primarily studied the first 200 questions of the review packet.
Review questions are very helpful. He spends a lot of time on Excel and Access. I will take him again
He's got good intentions, however the way the class is taught is confusing. All material on the test you have to self teach through the book. Yes, the book is $230, but you can find it cheaper from kids who have already taken the course (Homework assigned every class from the book). Overall not the worst professor i've had, but also not the best.
I had three classes with him. Lots of homework assignments. Learned a lot. His accent didn't bother me. Fair tests from study guides.
An excellent learning subjects. Exams were fair. I will recommend him.
He seems like a lot but really isn't. Attendance isnt' mandatory but I always showed up to class. He can be confusing, does give some homework, but all that truly matters is that you ace the final bc you'll get an A overall if you do. Midterm & final are only tests & based on the review sheet he posts, nothing else. Let's you out early every time!
Basic things to know: -attendance is checked at random so it's a lottery if you don't want to show up for class (skipping is a bad idea if you need this class) -he's very forgetful and will often ask you "what was due today?" at the beginning of class -this class is easy, yet confusing. -the textbook is a lot of money -exams are fair
Easy A if you go to class and pay attention. Excel work is easy, and usually there will be 2-3 page chapter summaries due. Sometimes its hard to understand him but if you ask questions, he will always help. Exams are fair and pretty straight forward.
Very disorganized!!! Didnt learn a thing in this class and understood nothing!! Please stay away
3 midterms & 1 final (tests cumulative). Disorganized when teaching, doesn't remember what he taught/didn't teach. Not a fair grader, another person gets the same answer right but yours is marked wrong. Recommend going to office hours for help. Homework given almost every class &attendance is random. Says if u get 90 or above for final, A for course
Hardest class I have ever taken! I thought he was an easy professor, I took him because I read comments below, but it turned out completely different. He is really nice and he does care but I did not understand a single lecture, gives homework every single class & still teaches new stuff even a week before the final.
He seemed to be a nice teacher. Always available. Extra assignments if you want to improve the grades
Reza falls somewhere in the middle. He is very disorganized but very knowledgeable at the same time. He will often ask the class what was due or what will be due. The textbook used is quite expensive and there is an Excel project due every week as well as a module summary from the TB. Exams can be tricky but are not impossible.
Professor Reza is a really nice guy. His exams are pretty fair and he gives extra credit. If you get a 90+ on the final he gives you an A in the class even if the other grades you have aren't good. He makes you submit 2 page summaries every week which are annoying but they are easy and he doesn't even check it. All the other work is done in class.
Had to read and do a summary/ define key terms of each chapter of the textbook every week. Also a excel sheet was due each week as well. Tests were based off of the textbook and making excel sheets. used computers for test so you know how it is. explanations not clear and goes on a fast pace, probably because he has a heavy accent.
Solid class. Don't know why people struggled when everything was on excel.
this class require you to work hard however is totally doable. might be disorganized but if you pay attention in class, the content really isn't hard, just review his examples in detail you should be fine. Get above 90 on the cumulative final you'll get an A. No online homework or textbook used, overall, recommended, easy A.
It was the best class I had for all my stat course. Helped me a lot during his office hours. I had two other classes with him. Good sense of humor.
This guy can't teach but if you do your homework throughout the semester he lets you get an A in the class if you get above a 90 on the final. So submit all your hw and go to class. He gives out worksheets that have questions similar to what is on the test. He is very disorganized but bearable.
only 2 people passed the first test, he does not care if his students pass or fail his class. avoid him at all costs
Dr. Reza was the best professor I ever had in school. He goes through all the problems in class and makes sure that all students understand the difficult statistic problems
he is ttough. he doesnt teach that well. really disorganized. the only reason i passed is because my classmates helped me. hes confusing at some points and he is not clear in what he says. he does let us go early which is awesome. does seem like a nice guy but difficult when itt comes to tteaching. if u get a 90 on final and do all hw he will pass
An absolute nightmare. Completely disorganized and unreliable. Unable to provide students with accurate information. Does not give partial credit on complex statistics problems. Dismissive of student inquiries and requests. Beware and stay away.
Easy grading
His teaching is confusing, bizarre and all over the place where he senselessly changes up the numbers in a problem. He assigns homework that he forgets about and never bring up again until you tell him, then still penalizes you for it. He almost lost my midterm because he wanted us to email our work to him. Terrible professor, even worse teacher.
Doesn't prepare you well at all for tests. He is easily accessible for office hours in person but doesn't respond to emails properly, which can be inconvenient. Puts material on the test that isn't even covered in class and blames it on the students and says we need to study more. HW is pretty ok. i heavily DO NOT recommend his class at all.
This professor is the worst teacher that I have had in my life. Every class he come in and asks us what did we cover last class. He did most of the problems in class on excel then said we can't use excel on the test. He assigns homework then completely forgets about it. He doesn't teach the material well at all. He's unorganized and doesn't care.
Bad professor. I really think he should not teach anymore. He barely understands what he's doing himself most times. He's called me multiple times for meetings and never showed up. Very disrespectful professor.
Prof Reza has to be one of the worst professors that has ever taught Statistics. He is insanely, unbelievably unorganized and extremely forgetful. He will literally make you do the same thing over and over again in class and cannot figure out how to operate the class. Constantly confusing his students. please save your sanity and do NOT take it.
He can be super sweet, but he does not know what he is doing anymore. Every class he asks us what we are doing and forgets things all the time. He literally forgot to open our canvas for the class until like end of February. If you have this professor expect to go to his office hours. He is not horrible you can make it out, but only by trying hard.
One of the worst professors here. Very disorganized and often forgets what was done in past classes. It is possible to do well in class, but you may wind up teaching yourself the material. Avoid him if you possibly can.
If you miss ONE DAY, don't expect to pass. He teaches solely on the board with no lecture notes, doesn't let us use excel even though HALF THE CLASS IS TAUGHT IN THAT, and if you don't understand the material, ask a classmate because he can't review for ANYTHING. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.
The best professor I have ever had. He helps all students and cares about them. Get A on the final and your grade is an A in the class. Can be clueless at times but gives out extra points on the exams. Statistics can be hard but this professor makes it easy.
Graded randomly. Right answers were graded wrong and wrong answers were graded right. Forgets homework all the time. Very confused. Will tell you "don't worry about it" when you ask questions but you should DEFINITELY be worried about it.
Absolutely one of the worst professors I've ever had. If you have him as a professor, switch out of the class immediately. Everyone fails his tests with the class average always being around 55% or lower. He doesn't know how to teach as he is always making mistakes and the class has to correct him (even with test answers). If I were you, I'd run.
Stats can be hard, I don't fault him for that. I do fault him for not grading our tests correctly. Even after finding several errors in his grading and confronting him 3 times, he still wouldn't change it. During lectures, he will randomly change the problem, confusing students. Unbearably disorganized. 3 tests, homework every week. DO NOT TAKE.
The most disorganized professor and class I have ever experienced. He rudely dismisses you when you have a question and has us come up with practice questions ourselves that we don't even know are right or not. Im not even exaggerating, the entire class failed the midterm with the entire class average being a 58 and he still said it was our fault.
Extremely disorganized, he gives you a different version of the same formula in every class. Lectures are messy and hard to follow; he wants his students to do well but does not teach them well enough. There are two exams a final, and homework. He also did not hand out the syllabus until the semester was halfway done.
You're basically going to be teaching yourself the entire semester. He is the most forgetful person I've ever met. Weekly (sometimes) homework assignments, two tests and a final.
No.‎ ‎ ‎
Stats can be tough, but this professor makes it even harder. Disorganized and often forgets key details, leaving students to fend for themselves. unstuck AI helped me stay on top of the material.
This professor was extremely disorganized and had no clue what he was teaching us half the time and would ask us what we did last class every time. No matter how much work you put into trying to understand and going to tutoring or asking for help you will not pass cause he misgrades work all the time. I WOULD NEVER WISH HIM UPON ANYONE!!!!
easy material, He just forgets what happens often and doesn't have a clear teaching method. Just self learn
