Great teacher and laid back. Explains things to make sense. Micro is hard to begin with so if your looking for an easy grade, good luck. As long as you study and know the bacterias and what diseases they cause you should be okay.

You can make an A but you have to study. Make note cards from PP slides and anything he elborates on is going to be on the test. Only use the book if you can't follow the PP. Labs are by memory, so you have to go. Look up slides/photos online for lab. Go to open lab. He's alittle disorganized, but he new at this school,not sure they are helpful

I highly enjoyed Dr. Reza's class! No, the class is not easy. But if you read through the presentations he has set up for each chapter and come to class/lab, it's MUCH easier. Best professor! This was my second class with him and I would recommend him highly to anyone taking A&P, Microbiology, or Genetics. His classes are not easy, but they shouldn't be. If you're going into any field of health sciences you should be expected to study, a lot. Period. He was always fair and he wanted ALL of his students to succeed.

He is a great people person and very interesting as a professor; classes are not mandatory, except for the lab because you cannot learn some of that stuff outside of lab, but he does not fail anyone for not attending even though he would prefer if you attend because he enjoys a crowd. He enjoys interacting with students. I highly recommend him!

Super awesome professor! Took him for two consecutive summer sessions and he truly wants you to not only succeed, but learn the material as well. Also, going to class and participating in his lectures helps. He is not an easy professor, but I would totally take him again. I got a 99 in the first anatomy and a 95 or so in the second!

I had to retake A&P 1 because I failed it the first time. Let me tell you this professor is worth taking! He was always helpful when we needed it, his test to me were very easy compared to other students. He does take attendance seriously. He gives you access to his PP and to his pictures for his histology exam. He usually gives you time to review.

Amazing professor! I took him for Microbiology and wish I would have known about him because I would have to take him for AP 1 and 2. 2nd time taking him. Took for A&P2 in a summer 5 week and was excellent. I just completed Microbiology and he still is an excellent professor! The class grading consists of 3 lab test 4 lecture and 1 final. He makes sure the test are scheduled accordingly and that there is enough time to study for them . HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Professor Reza made the class interesting, he would tell us interesting facts that related to what ever he was teaching us on. If you have any questions he is more than likely to help. With that being said out of all the classes i've taken this one was the hardest one, just warning ya'll. He really does make you work for that grade.

Exams are pretty straightforward but labs are practicals and require a good amount of studying to pass. If only he taught anatomy 2. Definitely would recommend him as a professor!

You will need to study because this course requires memorization. his study guides for his tests help sometimes, but its much better to go through all of his power points. His tests are difficult if you don't know your material, but he gives a really good curve. put in time after each class to review the notes that you took that day. really helps.

I am a bilingual student which made his lecture 10x harder to understands, but he is caring and very generous with bonus questions. With his help, I was able to aced many exams at last!!!!

Honestly just study the pp even is he gives you a chart study the pp except the gram+, - and mics you'll know what I mean . This class is all about your ability to memorize, lecture are kinda boring but manageable. we were the first class he required a 3 page single space 14font paper so beware but no reference. reviews are useless study PP

Attendance is mandatory, because although the power points are on blackboard, he goes over charts, and adds notes in class, that are on the test. I do understand where the other person is coming from because it does feel that you are cramming. He does give extra credit, but micro is not an easy subject even if you have a good teacher

Professor Marvdashti is easily THE BEST PROFESSOR I've ever taken. Took him for A&P-I, then Micro a year later and he still remembered me! He's hilarious, quick-witted and very smart, and still serious, caring and very helpful when it comes to helping you understand the material. I highly recommend Professor Marvdashti, he is THE BEST professor!!!

You have 3+ hours to complete each test., a total of 7 tests plus the final, tests are pretty easy and can be done within 1.5 hrs. He was a great professor, everything organized and open for you to get ahead. Made the class easy for one who lacks bio knowledge. Would take him again! Also, responds quickly to emails.

If your a non-science major and you need to take a science class this is your sign to take it with Reza I did a 5 week mini which everything was fast but mostly everything is online and its an easy A if you do the all the work, His also really open with any questions you might have, hope this helps!

Professor Marvdashti is the best professor I've had so far. I thought biology would be harder but he makes the lectures so interesting and he doesn't just read from a paper like some professors, he actually goes beyond that to help you understand. I would definitely take him again!

Great professor. Followed the syllabus and schedule since day 1. Clear lectures and assignments. Genuinely believe this was an easy class to follow along. No group projects which I love. A lot of time in between submitting assignments. Easy to talk to professor for any question. I will take more of his classes in the future.

We do have a lot of homework but he gives you enough time to finish it before the next round of homework and exams are long with 100 questions but everything is in the homework so its a lil easy. He emails back quickly and always reminds you when homework is due or when an exam is coming up. Overall I liked this class.

I have taken Dr. Reza before for so when I saw that he was teaching BIOL 1306 I knew I needed to sign up for his class. I loved his lectures you can really tell he loves to teach and tries to help you as much as he can. If he was teaching another class I needed to take I would definetly take his class again. One of the few professors that care.

Dr. Reza was one of the best professors I've had at San Jacinto. He is very knowledgable about the subjects he teaches, and never fails to explain complex ideas thoroughly. Attending his lectures is highly recommended, as he goes in depth about the powerpoints that he has provided. His tests are hard, but he gives ample time to review in class.

Starting his course was very nerve-racking, but he took his time and made A&P 1 very simple to grasp, especially if you're like me, where you need things said to you 100 times to understand. Between his lectures and lab, he makes them very enjoyable and simple to understand, and he is very generous in what he gives out! Just study, and you're fine.

Professor Marvdashti is extremely professional and always offers a helping hand. He explains everything in great detail and genuinely cares about each students success. This class consists of 4 lecture tests, 3 labs and the final exam. Many extra credit opportunities. Attending class is crucial! He has a great sense of humor and makes class fun!

Professor Reza is no doubt one of the best Professors i've ever had. This was my second time taking this course, and I did 10x better with him as my teacher. He try's to make class fun and is very understanding, as he will always help you out the best he can to make sure you're ready for test. I'd highly recommend you take his class!

The best professor! His class is mainly test BUT he goes over the info and makes it relatable to his student, making it easier to remember. I'm awful at taking test but I promise it's not bad. He's also great about answering all questions in person and online. Be prepare to study though, A&P isn't easy even with a great professor it's a hard class.

Among the best professors I've ever had is without a doubt Professor Reza. I have taken him a second time already and he never lets me disappoint. He makes an effort to make the class enjoyable and is very understanding, as he will always make every effort to ensure that you are prepared for the test. You should definitely enroll in his class!!

In his class you are graded on tests and the homework counts as extra credit. If you study well for the tests, and even if you don't for 1 or 2, you will have no problem passing his class because he does a lot of helpful review! He makes learning in both lab and lecture interesting by relating the topic to understandable and common situations.

in general this is a hard class and you need to study. He doesn't use lockout browsers and gives you 3 lecture and lab exams and a final which are all timed. and homework assessments that are based on the chapter of the book I would take this professor again

Professor Reza's class has a lot of work, but using resources like unstuck study helped me stay on top of the material. Lectures can be dry, but he's understanding and willing to help if you engage.

I would take again, took an 8 week course w/ him and it was challenging especially with the exams. Curves exams depending on overall class grades. Nice & cares about his students. Lots of reading in the chapters and if you take a little extra time of your day to study you will be fine. Quizlet will be your bestfriend. Open book test.
