Great teacher! Even the most clueless kids in class had a clear understanding of the material because of her presentation!

She made the class fun. I was really dreading this course before I took it.

Rhonda has a passion for her craft which makes her style of teaching interesting. I have never been a big fan of English classes but I have really enjoyed the two I have taken with Rhonda. She will make you work but the results are worth it.

I think that Prof. Morris was a very funny teacher. I was scared the first day of class & thought that there was no way I would pass. The key is not to panic. She will help you & you will like english. I wouldn't take anyone else for english.

She is a good english teacher and makes class fun. Not hard to get an A if you pay attention to the comments she makes on your papers. She grades essays generously. Has a good website with all the assignments posted ahead of time. You will be a better writer after taking her class.

I'm so sad to see that some people didn't like Mrs.Morris. She is funny and makes the class fun. I would highly recommend taking her class. Just ignore those stupid sad faces you see and take it from all the smiley faces. Rhonda Morris is great! I'm sad she isn't teaching Enc1102 also.

Good teacher, not too hard, not too easy. Helpful and clear, and she will tell you exactly what to do. She posts your grade on the Internet so you will know exactly what to improve, and gives you take home quizzes for grammar. You could do a lot worse for English comp than Prof. Morris.

be wary that she knows about ratemyprofessor.com and has said it isn't very reliable, but then asks students to consider using it to pick out future classes...

I loved this teacher!!! She was so good at teaching you what needed to be learned. She does give a lot of work but it is well worth it, you learn a great deal from her. She is excellent about preparing you for the MLA and if you are not good at english she will read essay early and edit them for you and she will do it fast too.

Took her fall 2004 and felt I owed her a recommendation. Professor Morris is a spirited professor and anyone that thinks she is too tough should realize they are in college, not high school. Great teacher, makes class fun, A+

Great teacher. Highly recommended. Never turned away from a student who needed help. Not that difficult of a grader. yeah she gives hw but noting extraneous. she lets you work on quizes with partners. Classes are boring but easy and truly informational. I would def take her class again. youd regret passing her up!

Ms.Morris is an excellent teacher. She is very clear on her assignments and is more than willing to grant extensions on the work deadlines (she granted me two). the course work load in this class is heavy in essays, but the final is cake! (multi-choice) she also gives lots of xtra credit opps too.

Professor Morris is wonderful!!!! Her class was easy. She made if fun to write. Very clear, very understanding. It would be very hard for fail in her class.

If there was one word to sum up Dr. Morris it would be "Decent." She is extremely nice and willing to help any student, but her grading is rather difficult, and it seems like she struggles to give A's on assignments. My last 3 essays should all have been A's but she gave me 85's on all 3 of them; 85 is good, but I needed better to boost my grade up

Whatever anyone said bad about her is full of it and has complex issues beyond any prof. help. This teacher is THE BEST. Understanding as long as you speak with her. Trsutworthy beyond belief and very fun. I used to fall asleep in classes, but NEVER hers. She makes her classes fun and keeps everyone inolved. Critiques all answers and helps!Take her

Great teacher! She is very understanding and helpful. She really wants her students to learn and makes the class fun. It is a little hard to make an A on an Essay (I've only made one), but the reason for taking this class is to build college level writing skills so you cannot go in expecting all your papers to get A's.

fun and easy

This is THE BEST english professor at SFCC. She is absolutely phenomenal. She grades fairly and always tells/works with you on how to write more effectively, and she actually makes ENC1101 fun if you can believe that. I am currently taking her for 1102, and intend to take her for all my eng's. Don't miss out! Easy and amazing!

She's a very good teacher explains her work well, but be prepared to do alot of writing. on average 1 to 2 essays per week, although after the semester there should be a noticable positive impact in your writing skills

She assigns alot of reading...and she does quizes over the reading usually and the stuff we were supposed to read during the semester is on our final exam....

Amazing teacher. Very helpful. Answers emails promptly and is willing to read your drafts and give advice. She is very intelligent and makes the class fun. A lot of work, very writing-intensive, but the best teacher I've had at SFCC~

Mrs. Morris is an awesome teacher. She gives out a syllabus with the ENTIRE semester's work with dates so you always know what is due. She drops lowest quiz scores. She is very helpful with writing papers especially if you see her during office hours. Just make sure you keep up with youre readings...which are always really interesting stories anywa

I love Mrs. Morris!! She is so helpful when it comes to papers and stuff. I like how she goes into detail about the assigned reading it really gave me a new perspective. If you miss class you cant make up work but she does give you a schedule in the beginning detailing every day of class and it has the assignments on it.Nice teacher and shes pretty

I am extremely good at English. It has always been my favorite subject. Ms. Morris... She's a very fun teacher, but her grading skills are slightly odd. I don't understand how she gives one paper an A, but turns around and gives another one with the same quality a D... It's confusing. But I think she's pretty cool...

Rhonda Morris was a very helpful teacher. She was always available for help, and she made learning fun. I would say that she made English incredibly easy.

She is a very good teacher.Her class's are well planned out and the material is fully explained. I hate English but she made it fun. Very willing to help you any way she can.Attendence is a must though. I have been out of school for 18 years and I may even make an A. You must take her class! You won't be sorry.

Actually I am not good at writing, but Pro.Morris makes it very easy to us. Her course is well planned and her guidelines for us to write are very clear. The total essay we did through the whole semester is five. She is not a hard grader. What she did is trying to improve us whatever in writing an essay or in grammar. She is great. Take her.

We took a couple of inclass quizzes and everyone can help everyone on them! Shes very organized as well! I DEF recommend her!

She is a great teacher. She does assign a good amount of homework and essays, but she is willing to work with every single one of her students to achieve success.

Mrs.Morris is by far the best teacher at SFC. She is so approachable and understanding. She also really prepares you for other writing classes. You have to write essays and some homework, but nothing major. Take her! She's the best :)

I absolutely loved her, seriously she is amazing at teaching English and she pretty much prepares your for each essay. The class is easy and would recommend it to anyone even if you hate english you will LOVE her. NOT Boring at all :) I'm definitely taking her for ENC1102!

Ms. Morris is a very good teacher. She assigns about 5 papers, none of which are very hard, and 2 in-class essay exams. There is also a blog which she gives topics for. She's a very nice woman, will answer questions, and let you work with people around you. Everything is done pretty much online(hw, papers, etc.). No textbook. Take her!

She is the best english teacher I had so far! She is amazing & so helpful! You have a lot of reading and writing to do, but it's english. She only had one test (which was the final), essays & about 2 pop quizzes. She wants everyone to be reading, so we can discuss it. I'm not a big reader, but the books are interesting and so was her class!

Such a Sweet Teacher!! Really Helpful! I love her as an english teacher. The class consist of talking about the reading and upcoming papers which are easy and well explained! Nice grader and makes college non-stressful! (The way it should be) :)

great prof. i took her for 1101 and 1102. she gradually begins grading harder as the semester goes on. but she's willing to help you. stay on top of all papers, they account for a huge chunk of your grade. if you forget to do the reading, she always goes over it in class the next day.

Best teacher I have ever had. She was so helpful and worked very hard to make sure everyone understood everything. As long as you go to class and do the few papers you will get a good grade.

Best professor ever!! I took her a few semesters ago for lit and started out hating it but left the class loving it and i still love it.Very into what she does, makes you want to like it as much as she does.Even though it's been a while since i took her class she's still my favorite!!!!

I HATE English with a passion! I dreaded having to take this class! Then I met Mrs. Morris...she is the best teacher I have ever had in my life...NO LIE...she is very understanding & will help you with any assignment! Easy extra credit oppotunities. I highly recommend taking her! I got my first A in English because of her passion for teaching!

I took this class as a hybrid with Mrs. Morris. She was an okay teacher but took FOREVER to grade assignments and papers. She was also a difficult grader but if you go to her office she helps a lot. Overall, decent teacher but I'm sure you could find a better hybrid teacher.

GREAT TEACHER!!! i hated english, but with mrs.morris, she made is so interesting and simple. you have to write 4 papers, but 2 of them are on whatever you want them to be. the other 2 are plain easy. you always do a rough draft, then she helps fix them then you summit the final version. if you fail this class with her then you just are plain stupi

I am not a good writer by any stretch of the imagination but i was able to earn a B. She is very helpful and will put in the extra effort if you do. I thought the class was great and i got exactly what i deserved. There are many assignments but it is a writing INTENSIVE class; she clearly explains. The material is interesting.

I took her class because of the good reviews I read about her and got screwed over! I did not enjoy her class and she doesn't explain well what will be on her final. Her lectures are boring and her papers were super annoying to write!! Avoid her if you can

Really nice lady. Kind of a boring class. But the Ms. Morris was very funny, helpful, and cares about her students success.

Take the hybrid class she offers! You'll only meet once a week and all of the work will be online(worksheets/turnitin.) There's only 5 papers and whatever you need help on she answers e-mails really fast and goes over everything in class. So easy. Very nice. I will be taking her for english two for sure.

Great professor! Starts off with bite-sized assignments to get you comfortable. There are 4 papers (nothing longer than 4ish pages) and online exercises(who's vs. whose, etc). You'll need a Bedford Handbook (which can be used for other classes) and an online account, $35 total. She's very smart and a people-person, which is a great combo in a prof.

This teacher is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had! I am somebody who hates english, but she made it very enjoyable! I am getting her again for sure! She is honestly a great teacher and you can tell that she enjoys teaching! Very nice and helpful!

Ms. Morris is a wonderful teacher. Her class is very easy if you pay attention and do the extra work. She teaches you how to write a college essay correct within the first three weeks of class. She is very understanding and is there to help with any way she can.

Dr. Morris was a great professor! Although her class could feel a bit lengthy at times, her lectures always made the material make sense. I believe I improved my writing skills a lot, as well as my grammar. The bulk of your grade is the five essays, which she grades pretty hard. Don't skip class. Would recommend her for sure!

Dr. Morris is a great professor, and is always clear about what she's looking for in your work. The course I was in was very easy, but even if you're struggling, she gives many opportunities to bring your grade up. Only downside is she can take a while to get stuff graded, but if you go see her she's happy to give you an idea of how you're doing.

Amazing English professor! Explains things that are confusing really well! Wants you to do well in her class, and is willing to sit down and work with you if you don't do well on an assignment! Would definitely take her again for a professor.

Love this women! I took her for comp 1 and comp 2 and shes amazing. Shes super funny which makes boring English lectures fun. She is super helpful and will answer/help with any question judgement free. There are quite a few essay but she usually gives you a range to pick something you like to write about. For sure would recommend

Prof Morris really cares for her students that care about passing. She will let you submit your essay early and gives feedback. I wasnt able to get more than a 95 even with changing from her feedback though. Shes quirky and kind. I am 100% not an English class kind of person but I enjoyed the class.

She is an amazing professor. I was not taught well in the English department in highschool but I learned so much from taking her class. She really wants everyone to succeed.

She was so great that ive decided to take her again next semester. Dr. Morris was always available to go through my essays with me and give great feedback. It is a fast paced class but if you show up and pay attention you will be fine. This class was by far my favorite for this semester.

It is a writing-intensive class, she allows you to pick the topic and all of the smaller writing assignments build into your final paper, so put in the work and the end will be easy.

Dr. Morris is one of the best instructors I have had. Don't plan on going to class and breezing by without any effort. If you are chasing an A like me, you will have to work for it. Nice and caring instructor she knows life goes beyond the classroom.

Dr. Morris has been an extremely helpful professor throughout the semester, always offering great advice for writings. There is a decent amount of writing required for the class, however if you just listen to in class discussions, everything is covered in. Overall, I'd say Professor Morris was one of the most helpful professors I've had.

Professor Morris is by far one of the most understanding and caring educators I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I love her upbeat energy and just everything about her. Last Spring semester I had to withdraw from her class due to my grandpa's passing and she was unbelievably kind. This semester she totally welcomed me back with open arms.

Super helpful and accomodating and very diplomatic. Bored out of my mind during the class because I already knew the material, but she made it a lot more bearable. Very good at listening and incorporating feedback into her lessons and reviews.

If you genuinely enjoy writing and its a favorite subject, take this class. Youll learn new things. Make sure to stay up to date with discussion boards and the date times. Try to attend as much as possible. It isnt an easy class.

Probably my favorite professor at SF. She's a great instructor, clearly knows how to teach, and obviously cares. Her classes involve a large amount of participation, and not too much work. However, when you do have to do a project, it matters and it will be tough. She wants you to succeed.
