Amazing Teacher! The most fun class I've taken at OCC! You need to keep your tickets from the concerts since they are needed to prove you went! Extra credit if you bring friends. TAKE HIM Comments are true though don't even be like 1 min late to class or you will get yelled at. Soto takes his time very seriously.

Really fun and easy professor and class. For us we had to attend two orchestras throughout the semester for a grade, so expect to shell out 10 dollars. The tests are extremely easy, since he makes study guides for them. After his class i really gained a better appreciation for music, so you might go through the same thing.

Only take this class if you need it for your major or you want to be in his choir. This class is not for people that don't know music theory it is only to improve sight singing. The majority of the class is spent sight singing choral pieces. There were about 20 people in class day 1 and 10-12 people dropped the class in the first 2 months.

The tests consists of musical trivia that is explained during lecture, and song recognition where you are provided with a clip of a song (that has been shown in class) and you pair it with the composer, type of music, and era. The songs are all on youtube, with all the information I mentioned in the description for home studying.
