Phenomenal teacher! I recommend him as a Spanish teacher. He makes sure that no one gets left behind and helps push you to success. However, he gives you the grade that you earned while taking his class because he also expects his students to do their part in order to pass his class.

He's a great teacher because the students do hands on board activities to keep us awake and learning, unlike other teachers where you sit and listen, and at times eventually get bored.

He tries and help the students as much as he wants and cares about them a lot.

He doesn't just teach the subject but he goes back in history and tells us why we say it that way or why it's spelled the way it is. Whatever it may be! I enjoyed this class very much! Professor Aguilar is such an amazing humble educator. He is there to help the student, he doesn't mind if you come late because he just wants you to show up.

Mr. Aguilar is a super cool and great teacher. He's really there to help you and he truly cares about his students. Take advantage of all his extra credit opportunities, he actually gave us extra credit to go see How to be a Latin Lover. There's only 2 presentations but they're simple. Finish homework on time especially!!! Tests are easy.

He's really laid back and he even pushed back test dates, when the class as a whole was struggling on a chapter. Not many professors would do these type of things.

Honestly, hes such a good teacher, fun, helpful, and caring. For his tests and quizzes, he wants to make sure that you know the material thats needed to pass. He offers extra credit during the first half of the semester so take advantage of that. Homework is done online but is very easy since he goes over the subject in class.

From a Middle College student, Mr. Aguilar is a very caring and helpful professor. The way he teaches (integrating stories) allows students to understand the content quite easily. Regarding the difficulty of the class, it is not the most difficult, but it is not the easiest either.

With Professor Aguilar, I didn't learn as much as I had wished to because his lectures were purely based on his own knowledge about the lesson we were currently learning. I am one who learns with the use of a textbook in class, however, the textbook wasn't used in class as much as I though it would be. The textbook was easier to learn from.

Profesor Aguilar was assigned this class last minute, and I believe he was put here just for me :). He is the perfect Spanish 1 teacher. Funny, engaging, intelligent and caring. Professor Aguilar is very caring, he teaches the rules of Spanish very well, but if youre brand new to the Spanish language, there is a ton of words you will have to memorize. If you get an A in the homework, participation, and presentation, and get Bs on the test, you will get an A. I just wish the syllabus told us what we were doing each day.

I took Professor Aguilar for two semesters (Spanish 1 & 2). He was extremely patient, and funny. Others are commenting on him being political, I didn't feel like he ever pushed an agenda on us, it was more of conversations we had in class that mostly were introduced by the students, not the professor. I really enjoyed his classes!

Really cares about students. Had him for span 1 &2. Lots of hw online(3 hours a week). Some tests online. One group project for span2. Oral presentations for both 1&2. Finals in class. You have to put in the effort, you are learning a new language. unless you can already speak spanish its pretty difficult. Finals can make or break you.

Professor Aguilar is a really good Spanish teacher! I was already a Spanish speaker, but I learned a lot in his class. Whenever anyone in the class was confused, he would always do his best to clarify whatever it was. Unlike what some are saying, I don't really recall him being very political. I took Prof. Aguilar's hybrid class last semester and his fully online class this semester. He is great at explaining what is expected of his students and communicates very well. He is always willing to stay and help if you need it. Prof. Aguilar provides the information needed to be successful in his class, it's up to you how you handle it.

Many of the negative comments come from my high school peers. They wanted to receive an A on the class, and with what is happening with COVID -19, they were very stressed. I don't think the teacher should be blamed. The teacher sent us announcements and reminders on Canvas every week.

I took Spanish 1 to 4 and all have a bunch of material to do. due to the workload I highly recommend prof. Ricardo Aguilar. He always find the way to help you if you are behind or confused. He answers your emails in the first 48hrs. He sets zoom meetings to clarify any concern you may have. I think prof. Aguilar it really made my classes easier.

What trips me most about this professor is his passion. He is compassionate about seeing his students succeed. I took him for both Spanish 1 and 2. Responds to emails promptly. He is very respectful in his approach and humble. You are amazing professor.

I took Professor Ricardo for Spanish 20. His lectures were amazing I enjoyed reading all of them. He does take a while to email back, I have sent him two emails the whole semester and still haven't heard back, it is December and the semester ends in a couple of days. He is an easy grader though.
