His test are hard but possible to get an A. You have to STUDY for test. He gives out review sheet before the weekend for test so that you can have plenty of time. A nice generous man, ready explain any questions you might have. If you study every lecture day and understand the topics you will be fine. Pray to God that is lab Quiz is easy unless.

Dr A. is a great prof. One of the things he does is requires every student to write three questions about the chapter, science, or anything on a notecard and turn it when class starts. He'll flip through them and answer some the questions before starting the lecture. He stays in lab til the last person leaves and answers any question you may have.

Dr. A is between the best teachers I had. He give his lectures in a laid-back way, and he makes any phylum to be interesting even when the topic is leeches circulatory system. I would recomend this teacher to anyone. Fun, spontaneous, knows exactly what he is talking about. Dr. A does honor his phd.

A great instructor! Dr. A knows what he's talking about... seems strict on first day of class, but actually is really laid back.. don't take the class if you're a slacker! (Remeber it IS Biology) Definately will take him again!!

Dr. A is truly one of the great teachers who love what they do and shows enthusiam while teaching. His lectures are relaxed and as long as you study his lecture notes and complete your labs you're going to get an A. His exams are fairly easy since he gives you a study guide and the answers are from lectures. He gives hints what to expect on exams.

I studied and worked hard all semester and got a D on every test and even an F on the last one but I turned in my labs and did extra credit and made an A on the final and received a B. The grading system is great and the final exam is so easy. I have math and science and he makes it fun. Nice and gives extra credit.

I would definately recommend him to any one who want to take biology. The test is kinda tricky and i have no idea what to study. At least, i learned alot from the class. he made it so interesting, and he is so funny ( students include me laughed every classes). He always answer your question, and you can see him showing enthusiasm toward the topic.

Dont take the ALCE Chem/Bio combination. Not easy, ambiguous and hard to figure out what to study. Pulls old stuff and puts it into some of the tests. Everyone pulled a B/C in my class with the exception of two folks. Take him for Bio separate, take someone else for chem separate. Not what I wanted in a class. Good guy though.

A must take professor for bio 1407!!! class is VERY amusing and easy, if u attend class and study! tests are mainly multiple choice with a few short answers. some questions are TRICKY but if u study, no problem. use book as supplement to notes. Cool guy, really interesting and has good stories to tell, just attend class, take notes and do show up to lab if you want to pass the class, its not really hard at all just pay attention. Dr. "A" might come at you hard on first day of class, but don't let that scare you, he is actually a nice guy and will listen to you!

Oh My God, This Prof. is the best. i took him for summer 1 and it was so easy . Just buy a tape recorder and recorde the lectures. You dont need a text book. and also go to lab all the time. Test is 50 Q mult-Ch... So easy.... Take him and you will make a good grade.

Dr.A is the BEST!!! He is funny, friendly and extremely helpful. He is easy in the lab, but his tests are hard. Just don't skip or you will be missed out a lot. However, the final is coming from the 4 tests so it is super easy. It really is a life saver during final week. I love this class so much. Wish he teach A&P or Microbiology

took him for both bio 1406 & 1407. The guy is the bomb. all the girls in my class loved him.Will make jokes that will help you remember the answers for the test questions. He is a great teacher and loves biology which makes the class very interesting. He tends to entertain every questions (on and off topic) and can get distracted easily by irrelevant trivia. If you take good notes and use them as your study guide, as well as listen to what he lectures in class, you can get a good grade.

All I've got to say is if you are planning to take genetics, back off !! I went from a D to a B but, I learned nothing. It's his first time teaching gentics, no powerpoints, no proper notes, only audio recordings. The guy is nice, but take him at your own risk. He couldn't cover all materials.

Hands down one of, if not the best professor I've ever had. He makes class interesting while challenging you at the same time. He gets distracted easily, but it is great when he does because you learn so many cool things. He's also hilarious. Lab is so easy, but lecture is not. Just study your notes from class and you'll be fine!

Attend class everyday because the Tests are based off the lecture. He is entertaining and loves to teach. You have to be willing to try in this class. No textbook required, no homework. Dr. A did personally state he teaches differently- meaning hardly no powerpoints. Quizzes every class, but that's for your benefit. The more quizzes, higher chances of passing. Dr. Azpiroz, he can both rude & funny, but he is indeed a good teacher when it comes to lecturing. His teaching style is different, took me a while to accommodate. Bio in general is hard, so don't expect it to be a piece of cake. Every test, quiz, & lab quiz material is imprinted or talked about it prior to testing. You want an A, study extra hard.

This class was pretty fun. He is a tough grader and he gives a lot of quizzes. Overall if you try you can easily get a B. If you really want the A then you actually have to put in the effort. It's easy if you put in the effort.

In the first month of class I was completely frustrated and about to go to drop this class, but after that I kept track on everything and it was not that hard. Trust me if you want to get an A: never late, take note very well and study right away because he tends to give quizzes about the previous lecture, and study all power point slides !

Professor Azpiroz really doesn't play by the rules. He kinda just follows his own objectives and steers the class in his own direction. Thankfully, his direction is actually quite refreshing. Expect a quiz at the start of each lecture and lab. He'll tell you not to take notes but you should take notes. Also READ THE BOOK at the end of the semester.

Dr. A is definitely one of my favorite professors at Richland to date. He made us take a quiz every class (except when he didn't feel like it). The labs were so easy and sometimes we watched videos and left. I formed a study group and we would all work together before a test (would recommend). Overall if you put in the work then you will get an A!

Dr. A is AMAZING! He's definitely not easy but he grades fairly so what you get is what you deserve. He's wise. You'll change your perspective on many things after taking his class. The material is very practical. Bio 2 is very different from bio 1. No memorization, just understanding. He drops a lot of grades to help you. There are daily quizzes.

I would defiantly recommend Dr A. He makes the lectures interesting and makes learning hard complex things fun and interesting. He is a tough grader but he explains why it has to be that way and the correct way to get the right answer.

I had Dr. A for my second semester senior year. I have never met a professor quite like him. Although I was struggling at first I really liked his motto, "READ TO LEARN NOT MEMORIZE". He made lectures easy to understand and the labs were fun. Never be scared to ask him questions or show up to office hours for help!

Dr. A really is an amazing professor that will actually make you learn the material rather than just memorizing. He's rich in personality and will not bore you to death during lectures like other professors I've taken. I rarely took notes but you have to stay on your A-game for those quizzes because they really make a difference on your grade.

Dr. A is a brilliant professor, but he does not tolerate any high school attitude. His class was indeed tough but not impossible to get an A. His lectures are amazing and his enthusiasm for biology is very inspiring. His quizzes can be tough if you don't pay attention but as far as grading goes, he is just a wealth of knowledge. I appreciated what Dr. A had done to me individually, not only b/c of his so amazing, fun, and interesting materials, he inspired me how to learn and love biology. He curved the grades by giving free extra points and made up low grades by surprising ways. It's just like a gift who attented on time and earned a 100. He wont let you down, i promise.

He has brash humor, which offends some students who don't do well in the class as he tells the truth about success in his class. Some exams are not multiple choice, but are still manageable. ONLINE Assignments were easy and not much was assigned. Quizzes, DB, and labs assigned every week (easy). 3 assignments weekly He took the DB serious since they were group discussions. Participation MATTERED. He graded participation. His emailed were sometimes unnecessarily rude, yet funny. I would take again easy A+.

Let's just say he isn't for everyone. That being said, I loved being in his class. He wants to make sure you actually understand the material. I'll be honest, I didn't study. All you have to do is pay attention during lecture. Attendance isn't mandatory, he takes lab quizzes almost every week. The second "food quiz" is hard, that's the exception.

This professor is so caring and understanding I definitely liked his class. The best part is that you can even talk to him during office hours and will do his best to help even by email! The tests are super easy to understand especially the food quizzes and there's no need to be stressed this professor has it all under control.

The second exam and food quiz are probably the hardest exams out of all of them. That being said, his class is pretty easy and straightforward. If you study, you do well. He's very approachable outside of class and wants you to succeed. Study for the lab quizzes each week, they can easily bring down or boost your grade depending how you do on them.

Very interesting professor. Lectures can get really boring and dry and he often talks more than using the slides. But the tests are really easy even though they are free response since most of the questions ask about material from the homework, so if you do the homework and review it before the tests, you should be fine.

Professor A's lectures are informative, and his personality and sense of humor make them engaging. The tests are very hard, but if you study the slides and videos, you should do well. Overall, the class is enjoyable, and the professor is friendly, as long as you arrive on time and have a genuine interest in the material.

This professor can come off as blunt, but he truly cares about his students and is very approachable. The class format is unique, with engaging videos and worksheets instead of just lectures. While the tests are challenging, with effort and using Unstuck ai for study prep, you can succeed in this class.

He was awesome experience for CHEM. Be willing to work hard in this class, he likes to see effort. I recommend staying for tutoring, as he is extremely helpful, and it really helps connect what you learn. He also has a super kind personality, and was a very lenient grader, while still making sure we know the material! Definitely recommend!
