Very upbeat class. You MUST, I repeat MUST read the text!! Tests are fair and relativly easy if you have read the text!

Dr. Campbell is fantastic! Quizes regularly, one big paper, group presentation, and a few tests. He tests and grades fairly. Read the book, attend class, you'll do well. I learned more in this class than any other class at SSU yet. Take his classes whenever possible!! You won't want to miss any of his classes, his lectures are too great to miss!

Dr.Campbell has taken a survery-type class and stiched his passion for marketing into it, making it a fun and informative requirement. His industry-gained perspective adds real life examples to the text. His frank and personalble approach hold your focus, his approachable nature make getting anything but a good grade in this class your own fault.

If you show up and take notes (he will usually tell you what you need to write down) you will do fine. He is hilarious and has random stories about himself that he will tell and admittedly try to stretch it to make it some how apply to the class. Its like having one of your friends teach a class. Ask the story about Curtiss at the car rental job

Tests are HARD. unclear about what is going to be on the test. lectures are interesting & he's pretty funny. paper & presentation help grade a lot. drops lowest test score.

Classes get shorter as the semester goes on, so you get out earlier.However, since his lectures are shorter you NEED TO READ THE BOOK in order to do well on the tests!His exams have random questions from the book that are not reviewed in class.The project is an easy B.His cussing makes the class interesting.You should show up to class to take notes

Campbell is a good guy and his classes are fun. I liked his sense of "humor." Other than that, tests are easy if you know the material. You can't get by on his notes alone! Reading the book is necessary! All together, 4 midterms (bit much I thought), a paper, group presentation, and the final (which is cumulative).

Campbell is so funny. He makes the class a lot of fun. He always lets you out early, tests are moderately difficult, you need to read the book and use the website, which makes it easier. Very entertaining, you will really enjoy him.

Excellent teacher, the best I've had so far at SSU. Very interesting and extremely funny. Although it isn't an easy class, you will learn A LOT about marketing. Great guy...as a finance major I wish i could take more classes with him.

Pretty basic, you just need to go to class, take notes and read the text book. It is straightforward material which he presents clearly with stories that help you remember. For additional test prep, take the book's online quizzes and study the practice test you get on the first day of class. If you don't get an A or B, it is your own fault.

Super realistic guy! He is really funny, very helpful and cares a lot about your grade. He keeps you updated on test scores, offers extra credit (super simple), and hands out your standing grade before the final. The tests are straight from the text, and class isnt "mandatory" but if you go itll help out because he gives out test Qs sometimes

Campbell is a fantastic teacher. He will ask you to look him up on here on the first day of class. Hi Rich! His instructions are clear and well-defined and his choice of books is superb. He is down to earth and approachable. He knows his marketing well. You must read the textbook to do well in his class. You are lucky to have him as a teacher.

It's hard to say anything mean because he is extremely likable! The class does become a little dry since he covers exactly what you'll read in the textbook. Read and study the text and you will get a good grade. Four tests (he drops lowest) and one final. No homework, presentations or group work!

Rich Is a great teacher. Everything he says in class is important and he follows the textbook. So if you actually read and go to class, It should be impossible to fail. No homework, some extra credit. And the tests are easy if you go to class. He literally spends his class time just on stuff that will be on the test

Rich's introductory Marketing class 360 is easy. He teaches right from the book, read the book and remember what it says. Sometimes he gives little real-life stories of Marketing... The bad side of this is it is not good teaching. You will not walk away from this class with good marketing skills. Take Marketing (BMK 50) at the SRJC. Gattinella!!

One of my favorite bus teachers so far. Reading definitely is key. It has saved me far. He tests come directly from the text along with his lectures so there's no surprises which is nice. I will defintiely take him for furture classes.

Rich leads a very laid-back class environment. His lesson plan is cut with jokes, funny anecdotes, and a few f-bombs. His power point lectures follows the structure of the text. Some exam questions come from the lectures and some from the text book, so class attendance and reading the text book are highly recommended. I loved this class!

Class is at 8 am, but it's worth getting up. Campbell makes the lectures interesting by incorporating real world examples. Test are from the lectures, but mainly from the book, so make sure you read it. Ask him to show you his video blogs.

Rich is one of the best in Bus Departmnt! Took him for Intro to Mrkting, then again for Sports Marketing. Phenomenal teacher. His class is worth getting up early for, just make sure you go. He's funny, makes it interesting, relevant & pushes his students to be involved w/ the subject. Do papers, read & go to class. Great speakers! A for sure!

He is energetic and lively. He truly lives the Richard Campbell lifestyle. Read the book and show up to class or get really good notes and study them. Graded on 4 midterms, a final, a presentation, and a presentation critique. He drops the lowest midterm. He gives very easy extra credit.

Definitely not a bad teacher. I don't have interest in marketing though so I didn't really care, but the class was fine. One group project that's not too bad, and 4 or 5 tests that are kind of difficult. Overall, not bad.

Class is straightforward, easy to pass, just tough listening to him talk, he rambles on and on about sports that he knows little about.

So far my favorite business teacher. I had perfect attendance in his 8 am class which is unheard of for me. I also read the majority of the text. The assignments are not hard and the material is pretty easy as well. Take notes, read, show up, just like he says and you'll be fine. I didn't love the group project but it was fine.

Rich is a good teacher, read the book, attend the class, do the 1 page papers and you'll get a good grade. Learn the vocab would be the best tip and don't skip because he give out extra credit for those who attend of days most other skip.

I feel that Cambell is a good overall professor. BUT, if you are not a morning person DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. I found myself STRUGGLING to stay awake through lecture, which was made even harder because coffee and energy drinks are not allowed in the theatre. Nodding off can mean missing some important info since most test Q's are from his slides.

Rich Campbell is an enthusiastic proffesor which helps a bunch when taking the class at 8 am. He uses plenty of interesting stories that apply to the material. I didn't use the book too much but I took plenty of notes. He knows how to keep the class interested or it could be his over use of the f bomb. Overall great teacher.

I actually enjoyed this class. Sucks that it's at 8am, but rich does a good job about entertaining. Tests are not too bad, learn the vocab and you'll be okay. He makes you spend money on a program that we used 3 times, which feels like a waste of $120+. But overall show up, read, do the papers, and you'll pass.

It is an 8am class in a lecture hall. Pretty clear cut. You attend and you read to pass. 3 single space, one page essays. He knows his stuff and makes marketing interesting and simple.

Large class setting in the green music center. Nice use of projector for slide slow lectures. He made the topic easy to absorb. If you go to class, take notes, and do the online homeworks you will get a good grade. He communicates with students after class and in his office hour. Learned a lot of valuable information from him. Brings in speakers.

He is the only teacher you can take for this class so I mean you might as well take it. SUPER EASY class. Did not really learn anything new but appreciated how he understood how busy we all are. He tries to make going to class fun since it is an 8am but there isn't much he can do. Would definitely take again.

he's the only one who teaches this so there really isnt a better option. he's ok, kind of boring won't post powerpoints so if you like having lecture notes, go. but the hw is online through the textbook so you have to buy it. he uses test bank tests so best way to review is by finding them online

Dr. Campbell is a hilarious. Dr. Rich knows his material. Come to class because the notes will help you in your tests and final. Extra credit is available and do not try and get one over on Dr. Rich he will know if you attended a mixer. Cheating is not worth it. Do the online homework, EAZL and go to class.

I think Rich was actually a great teacher for teaching about 200 students in a lecture hall. Exceptional job keeping the lecture entertaining. if you do the homework and study before the test you should be fine on tests. He tries to involve us in other critical thinking tasks and activities with spring mixer and guest speakers

Prof. Campbell is a real chill teacher. He is funny, engaging and tries to make the 2.5 hour lecture more enjoyable. Homework is pretty easy and straight forward, as well as the one page essays he gives. Fairly easy to get a passing grade. Go to class, you'll learn a lot from his lectures. Rich is a great professor 10/10 would take him again. He offers ZOOM sometimes which means you can watch lecture in bed at 8am . Constantly trying to make his class better for students. Tests are straight forward just do the homework and listen to lecture. He tells a lot of dad joke , i bet hes a good dad too.

Fair class! There were four tests but the the lowest one is dropped, plenty of extra credit, some classes are online on zoom so you can watch live from the comfort of your own home, interesting lectures and if you study the online book/hw then you will most likely excel in the tests. Overall, it was a good class!

He is clear & consistent, drops your lowest exam grade, and understands the tools students need to study successfully. Zoom-hosted lectures are a savior if you commute like I do. Dr. Rich is an exceptional teacher. His lectures are concise while they incorporate humor so they will keep your attention. He wants everyone to succeed in his class so he offers extra credit assignments and allows the lowest test grade to be dropped. I highly recommend this class!

This was a very easy yet knowledgeable class and Rich was a great teacher. The homework is completion off of completion, so as long as you do it you'll get 100%. The tests are easy because there are practice quizzes with very similar questions, and he does offer multiple opportunities for extra credit. He's also funny and the lecture is short.

Rich is just a hands down great guy. Beyond funny and highly intelligent. I absolutely recommend taking his class. You won't regret it. The 8 am start time isn't the best but oh well. Still definitely worth taking his class. Overall super easy class with some very interesting material.

Do your connect assignments and complete the EAZL course within the deadline. I couldn't sit through the EAZL videos, so I fast forwarded them and went straight to the mini assignments. As the semester went on, it felt like Dr. Rich was trying to fill up time in class by going on random tangents about his Tayota Crayola so I only came on test days.

One of my favorite professors. Big lecture hall, doesn't take attendance but encourages it. Lectures are good, he has great stories and is funny. He is active in his field and brings passion to everything. Ahead of the curve with live zoom lectures that are also recorded for later viewing. Really cares about student feedback. Great guy! :)

Dr. Rich is an excellent professor. His lectures are amusing and choc-full of great information. The homework is a bit boring, but if you keep up with it and the lectures you will get an A. I recommend you take this course if at all possible.

Dr. Rich may seem like a tough guy from the outside but hes a big softy inside. I have really enjoyed the class (BUS 360) this whole semester. His lectures are amazing & he uses great examples to really engage your mind and thinking. He jokes around a bit and really enjoys his iced coffee on zoom. Highly recommend him!

Professor Rich is a great professor. Honestly my best professor at Sonoma State so far. He is has great knowledge on the information that he teaches in class. Goes through a powerpoint for lecture but adds in examples that keep it interesting and engaging. Enjoyable class and makes the 8am worth it to attend! Plenty of time to complete homework.

TAKE THIS CLASS WITH CAMPBELL! His lectures are very understandable and he connects the concepts to real life situations. The homework correlates to the lectures, as well as the exams. He is super chill and understanding of everything going on in the world right now. I would choose him as a professor again if I could - you wont be dissapointed !

One of the only engaging lectures I've had this semester on Zoom. Class is pretty straightforward, you'll always know what is expected of you and how grading works.

Campbell is AMAZING! Hes funny, kind, and an amazing teacher! Do not let the 8am time discourage you, all his lectures are funny and engaging, plus they are recorded if you can not attend. Plenty of time to do the homework and assignments! Tests are not hard as long as you watch the lectures and do the homework. 10/10 Best teacher ever!

Rich is a great guy. Knows what he's talking about and is clear about what you need to do to get a good grade in the class. Homework is never too much and will actually help you with the tests. Lectures are interesting and he gives you time to take the notes you need.

My only complaint is that he urges students NOT to email him, as this was an online class, email is my preferred method of communication so that was a bit of an inconvenience for me. Other than that, the tests are open note so as long as you take notes from his lectures and do the homeworks, you should pass with a good grade!

I took his BUS 360 class and loved it. I took this during Covid while all classes were online and he did a perfect job of transitioning to online. His classes were always recorded in case you couldn't make it or if you needed to go back and rewatch the lectures. He gives you plenty of time to complete assignments and gives homework through Connet.

Mr. Rich is a very understanding and patient professor. Lectures are recorded and interesting! Having class fully online this semester wasn't easy for anyone but he made it simpler by giving enough leisure to finish assignments. As long as you do the work, you should be able to pass the class.

This class was very straight-forward. Ive had Rich as a professor in the past and I liked him a lot. He is very professional and knows a lot on the topic. He's also super clear on his expectations which is great. This class online was also very simple and straightforward. There was 3 tests and 3 papers then the usual connect homework.

Professor Rich is a fantastic, this is my second semester with him and I am going on to my third. If you're involved with his class and communicate with him you are going to pass. His homework and lectures are really informative and he has a great sense of humor.

He cares about the well-being of all of his students and is very understanding! He is very good about reminding you about assignments you have at the beginning of every class. His lectures are engaging and if you don't make it to the live class, he posts the recorded lecture on canvas. Highly recommend!

Dr. Rich made this semester of online learning much less stressful. He provides the perfect amount of flexibility and consideration of his student's schedules as well as a clear course schedule. He used McGraw Hill rather than a physical textbook, and I found I preferred it. The work hard either, it can just be a little time consuming.

If you're a Junior or Senior majoring in Business and don't really know what you're going to do after graduation, take this class. Trust me. This is not a work heavy class and is only half a semester, I completed it along with doing 15 units. Even if you don't think you want a career in sales it is completely beneficial in the long run.

You can pass most tests just by reviewing class notes. It is useful to review important terms for tests but nothing heavy. There will be writing sets that are easy just make sure to check your grammar and punctuation afterwards. Lectures are enjoyable and rather light. Dr. Rich cares about his students and will help if needed. Overall a good guy.

I took his business 360 class in the summer and his way of lecturing was very organized. It was pretty straight forward for me and easy to learn all the material. He is very passionate about business which makes the class overall more interesting! I highly recommend taking his classes, you will learn a lot.

Rich is one of the best professors I've ever had. His grading policy is easy to understand & his lectures are entertaining. If you do the work and show up to lectures, you will most likely get an A in his class. Don't skip on the career hacking class, apply it, and you might get an internship. :)

Dr. Rich is super great, his assignments and material are very clear and easy to understand, and he is always willing to help via email, office hours and in class. The homework is time consuming but he gives plenty of time to complete it, and he uses the program Connect which is simple and easy to use.

This dude is probably the best teacher at Sonoma State and makes going to school actually fun when I have his class. While his lectures aren't the most interesting of topics, he really doesn't waste time on the PowerPoint but instead talks to the class and gets them involved. I love how energetic and how funny this professor is. TAKE HIS CLASSES!

This professor does an amazing job making boring information interesting and understandable. His lectures were fun to go to and engaging. There are 4 Tests, 2 batches of 5, 1-page papers, and connect homework. Ultimately, if you go to the lectures, take notes, and stay up to date on homework then you will do good!

best professor @SSU. uses McgrawHill, really easy and good for studying. 10x one page reflections on tedtalks that are very interesting and helpful. 4 tests that are relatively easy (heavily term based). I wish he taught more classes, Id take every one. Makes all the content very easy to retain, I actually wanted to go to class which is wild for me

My only gripes with this class are that it was 8am, and the online text was $145. Meets one day a week in person and the other day online. Weekly online HW modules, 10 one page papers, and all tests were multiple choice and take-home. You will pass if you do the work.

Great class with a lot of guest speakers to speak about their success after university. Class work is easy, just stay on top of your work and you'll do great! Couldn't recommend Prof. Campbell enough. Thank you!

His zoom class is not fun but his in person lectures are very engaging. Is very relatable and funny. Class can be hard in that the tests require you to read and the book is very dense.

He was very fun and the lectures were interesting and I actually loved the class. We got to do our test online and he provided many resources that were very helpful.

Dr. Campbell was one of the most engaging professors I've ever met. The class is very manageable in terms of workload; there are only four exams, two writing assignments, an online assignment, and a decent amount of McGraw Hill Homework. I highly recommend this professor as he makes you want to learn the presented material.

We read books but not a textbook. Dr. Rich brought enthusiasm, a great attitude, and industry knowledge to every class meeting. The course had an open concept, and there was more interaction between all participants. In every course I have taken with him, he clearly defined what was expected and how grades were not given but earned by the student.

Rich is a great guy. He tries his best to make the class fun and engaging while you're there. He knows what he's talking about. However, he would tell you on the week that we weren't having class. Some days weren't a lot of substance. His canvas is super unorganized, unclear on specific assignments.

One of the best professors I have ever had. Fun and engaging lectures that last less than the scheduled time. Not too much work but he actually cares about his students by having us create a LinkedIn profile and EAZL to help us build a resume for jobs step by step. Tests are easy, 2 easy papers and McGraw Hill homework.

Rich is so slay. He gave us so much time to complete hw, so it's very manageable. You do Mcgraw Hill smart book hw (time consuming), two paper batches (5, 1 page summaries of TEDTalks), and 4 exams (term based mostly) BUT make sure to read the text book!!!! His lectures are also very engaging. Would recommend him forsure!

Professor Campbell makes the material engaging and manageable. Take advantage of the resources like the free textbook and unstuck ai to prep for the exams. Stay focused in class and you'll likely earn a solid grade.

He is a great professor to take for intro to marketing and one I fully recommend. I don't recommend the 8am class unless you can get up. The grading was clear, it was tests, writing prompts and connect homework were assigned. I still recommend to read the textbook, as the lectures goes over the main parts and not everything in the chapter.

Professor Campbell's lectures are always engaging & animated. He covers a lot of material in his lectures that translates to the tests, but some questions come from the textbook & reading is a must if you want high B or A. All the HW is manageable as nothing is due weekly, but you must be able to manage your own time in order to meet deadlines.
