This young professor is very good at teaching the course material. If you email him or get in touch with him at office hours he will be very helpful in helping you understand the course work. You can get away without buying the book however you wont be able to do the assigned hw's. The homework however does not count against your grade.

This statistics course aimed practical use and was very interesting. He was very helpful and professional. If you have questions or feel difficulty in following the lectures, surely he will help you by e-mail or office hours. He also has a website for the class which also makes it easier for the students. Highly recommended!

Omg, he is excellent!!! Took the class in the summer,got an A. He explains everything so clear. He's very understanding so he'll help you in any way. He let the class drop the lowest grade if your attendance was good. Gives a mini project which isn't hard. I highly recommend him for any math class.

Good professor, but covers the material very quickly. Be prepared to go over your notes, and work out the problems over and over - make sure that you are prepared to do a lot of work if you want an A.

I am terrible in any math class. But prof. Freda has great teaching methods, and explains things in many different ways.I've always struggled with math, but it was a class that became clearer as time went on.He has reviews before every test, goes over the homework. Great professor!!

Great Professor. Was very useful and helped answer any questions asked. He assigns HW but doesn't grade it. I didnt even need the textbook, just took notes. Gives an exact lookalike of what the test is gonna be like. Sometimes makes things sound a bit difficult with all his vocabulary but it's actually a real easy subject if you pay attention.

This class was so easy to understand and if you don't, he breaks it down for you. His tests are generally fair and not difficult at all even if you don't like math. I won't lie, the class isn't fun but, at least you know you'll have a good professor.

This was my first math class in 30 years! I am a returning student. If not for Prof. Freda, I NEVER would have succeeded with thuis class. He is EXTREMELY helpful, although socially awkward. He is a terriffic professor! I HIGHLY reccomend him if you are afraid of math and have to take statistics!

A really good Math teacher. I wish I knew about him in the begining and I wish he taught more classes. Will walk you thru material step by step. The best math teacher I've ever had. I talked to a student in my class who has failed 2 math classes here already and he got a B. Goes over material so clearly and makes it very easy to grasp. You don't need the textbook, but you do need the access code to do the hw online. Just do the hw, take good notes, and make sure you're there for review.

Professor Freda takes his time during the lectures, and makes sure everyone understands what is going on. His homework (which you have 2 weeks to complete) comes straight from class notes. He gives a review sheet before each test (there are four) and the test questions exactly match the review sheet, except he changes the numbers.

Prof. Freda is by far one of the best professors ive had at farmingdale. He's extremely helpful, passionate about the subject and there for his students. He does give a lot of info during his class but he wont move on unless everyone understands it. He gives a review sheet before the test that basically is the test so study that and you'll do fine!

Prof Freda is clear with his notes and goes step by step. He wants to see his students do well, and will happily answer and help you if you don't understand something. he gives about 5-7 online homework assignments that are done on mystatlab which you have to buy a code for. His review sheets are basically the test with different numbers. Love him.

Gives out about 6 online homeworks that result in 10% of your grade. I forgot to do a couple and still got an A. Does a review guide before each test with the same questions just different numbers. Respond to emails fast, good feedback, very easy to understand, never goes off topic and gives alot of examples.

This Professor made Statistics the easiest it can possibly be. You actually have to try to fail his class. Very thorough in teaching subjects and his review sheets mirror his tests. Very fair and easy tests. Final is not cumulative. Easy online homeworks, one assigned every two weeks.

Great professor. Very organized notes. Does a great review before every test. Let's you know what's on it. 6 online home works. The textbook isn't needed but you need the online code. Statistics is boring so don't expect a fun class but pay attention and make sure you understand the material and you'll be fine. I received an A- highly recommended!

What everyone else is saying. I was very lazy this semester and skipped this class 3-4 times a month. He is a nice guy and makes the material alot easier than it looks. You cant possibly do bad in his class unless you dont even show up. Office hours are very helpful. Review sheets are identical to the test, and pulled an A- when i barely studied.

i was scared to take my first math in 5 years but he made it so easy. gives a formula sheet and a review sheet, the test is exactly the same with the numbers switched. class is very boring but he will go over anything you do not understand until you finally get it.

Easy A if you do his study guides and occasionally attend class. Tests are 90% of the total course grade and are based on review sheets given before the exam. Exams are the exact review sheets with numbers switched. 10% of total grade is online HW's. Gets annoyed if you show up late to class and has a bit of a weird personality.

I originally took stats and received an F. When I took stats with Freda I received an A! He gives plenty of time to complete the hws, and you have a chance to get 100 on all the assignments just put in some effort its worth 10 percent of your grade. Had this professor for Basic Statistics at LIU Post this semester. Very clear and well structured lectures. He would review each type of problem before an exam. Was very clear and communicative the one time I had an issue and he knows how to use BlackBoard well, so everything needed was posted there.

Great professor. I took his class completely online this semester. There was no tests. We just had weekly modules that included lecture videos, homework and discussion posts, and 2 projects during course of the semester. I recommend to stay on top of doing your work each week or do two modules a week. So you are not are stressed at the end.

Easy A. Work is kinda annoying, between weekly questions that never end and the discussions. Projects are easy.

Professor Freda masterfully takes what can be a very overwhelming and technical subject and expertly breaks down and explains the material in a way that allows students to completely understand and apply all concepts and theories in a fun and exciting way. I 100% recommended professor Freda for statistics. Hes great. I took this class fully online and I can say I learned a lot. He communicates with students every week. Well, if you come across Professor Freda's name while searching for a class, hurry up and grab him. Do not hesitate. Professor Freda's teaching style is phenomenal. He is one of the best professors I have had so far. The only things you will need are the MyStatLab, a graphing calculator, a will to pass the class, show up to class, & your brain.

Take his class, you won't regret it. He always posts online resources, so the students can have more information to complete assignments without failing. He always answer emails on time.

Professor Freda is a knowledgeable professor who teaches well even through online classes. I was never a math person, but this class helped me significantly learn the basics of statistics. Even though the workload may get stressful it's a good class. I suggest routinely completing assignments, the work can stack up quickly and it won't be fun.

Math has never been my strongest subject, and yet this class did not feel difficult. There are 12 modules, five discussions, and two projects that are not strenuous but time-consuming. Don't rush through the assignment, and you can get a good grade if you just put in the time.

Prof. Freda is a good professor. You just have to make sure that you're on top of the homework otherwise when he fails you it is like he is failing himself.

Prof Freda has to be the best stats professor Suffolk has to offer. He gives out homework every other week that are about 10 questions or shorter. There are only 4 tests including the final. He records his notes and lectures so you can look back at them. If you have the chance take him!!

I can't speak much on Prof. Freda himself because I took his class online but he seems like a good professor. However I absolutely hated Pearson MyLab with a passion. By far the most difficult homework ever, even compared to 300 level classes. However the 2 projects he assigned weren't too bad. Maybe if you take him in-person the hw will be easier.

Professor Freda makes stats bearable. The homework on Pearson MyLab can be a real slog, but the projects are manageable. Definitely utilize resources like unstuckstudy for extra practice - it really helps. Overall, a solid class if you stay on top of the work.

Math is not something that comes easy to me but every test that he gives he'll spend time doing review and giving a review sheet thats exactly like the test with its format with different numbers, he makes sure to ask if everyone understands, and has very helpful office hours. hw's online,take him if you can!
