Prof. Miller is a nice guy. Sometimes he falls behind and you won't get a paper back until a month later. His tests are simple and the class is easy.

Such a great teacher and a great guy. We had an 8AM class and he always tried to wake us up by tellin jokes and getting us involved in a class discussion. Only assigns 4 essays, and allows you to revise them, and they are easy topics. Great teacher, I recommend him to anyone!

He's the nicest guy!! He's so cute too, not in a stud way but like how he tries to get everyone to laugh and how he has these funny sayings for everything. He's kind of a big teddy bear.... i wish he taught classes other than 8am.... but he's the best!!

youll love him. down to earth, gives time for papers, wants you to do well, helps if you have questions, really available outside of class, lotsa papers but if you need time he'll give it to yah just explain. makes you interested in the material. makes material down to eath. great guy to talk to too

He's one of the best professor, I had the honor to be taught by. He is very helpful, and will give you straight answer. Also he make learning as an art form, not straight foward boring. He will try to help you out in anyway. Also he show the tacky beowulf movie, woohoo.

Fabulous professor!! So helpful, and gives easy assignments. He lets you rewrite until you get a very good grade. He is also very open to listening if you have a question or problem.

One of the nicest, coolest guys I've ever met. Great advisor and teacher, and an awesome friend, I'm gonna come back and visit him once I graduate this year.

This guy has to be one of my all time favorite professors. He's a really smart, fun guy to take a class with...very helpful. If you can try to take an upper level class with him so you can really experience his teaching style.

Very laid back professor. Very funny guy. I hate grammar but when he taught it, it wasn't too bad. Even grasped some things I had not previously. Take him, highly recommended.

i graduated from suffolk in 2002, and i still remember this guy, greater professor, great class. i completely agree with others on the board, he made english lit. fun.

If you can take a class with this professor, do it! He makes things interesting, gives helpful advice, and if you need extra time to do an assignment he is more than willing to give it. Definitely cares about his students and makes them love the class!

Very, very easy A. But he underestimates intelligence. Our class was given assignments that a second grader could do... literally.

He was probably one of the best English teachers I've ever had... his signature saying for Eng 103 is "the hardest part about the class was getting in." Seriously, he is funny, flexible, and very passionate about what he does. I really looked forward to English, and he never gave any ridiculous quizzes EVER. I would take him again if I could!

Rich Miller is amazing, I took him for both english 102 and my freshman seminar class. And to the guy who failed. You must be an idiot because Rich is the most flexible guy. You had to have done no work at all to fail, or not show up. Even if you miss all your work, he still accepts it late. You failed because of you , not him

If you want your English class laced with Tupac references and hilarity, take this man. Such a relief from all my other courses. Doesn't believe in due dates and doesn't pay attention to attendance. You can actually learn with him, and he makes it fun. Absolutely recommended especially if you have a full courseload.

Rich is a fantastic guy - sometimes a little too lenient, but is always willing to help you out. If you have ANY problems and ask or shoot him an email, he will ALWAYS have a solution and is ALWAYS willing to work with you. One of the best professors I've ever had.

This guy is unbelievable. He is the most helpful professor I have ever had, sending out emails all the time to make sure everything was going good. Accepts late work and will make jokes about being so easy. If you take the class even just a little serious, you will get an A. I wish I could take him again.

Miller is hands down the coolest professor you could have. Really funny, has no boundaries with his jokes, it's great. Might almost be too easy, instead of giving a quiz we'll talk about the reading for 10 minutes and all get A's. Doesn't really care about a couple absences but there is really no reason to not want to go to his class.

Class was a lot of work, but he was very flexible with due dates if we needed it and isn't a harsh grader. He really cares about his students and I was often sad when class was cancelled. I hope to take more classes with him.

Miller is one of most chill professors you'll meet. You can easily negotiate due dates or even course materials with him.

He is one of the most coolest human beings that you can ever meet.At 1st he may appear as weird but that just means you need to get use to him.The class is really easy as long as you come and participate.He is willing to let you revise every single essay.So far I got A's on both of my essays!When it comes to language usage there are no limits!!!!!!

Miller is by far the best professor I think I will have throughout college. He is the most friendliest and is willing to work with you if you have too much work in other classes and can push back due dates. There is work but getting good grades is not too hard. Take him!

Hands down my favorite professor, possibly favorite human being, that I have ever met. Miller is so passionate about what he does and is hilarious. I've never met another professor/teacher who cares as much about their students as he does. So sad that the class is over. Any class with him is a MUST.

I always hated english and writing class all through high school but I actually enjoy his class, and he helps you prepare for essays so they aren't even as long as they seem. I even forgot to attach my midterm paper and he was cool about it. He is a really nice person. Him and Waggett are really great professors.

One of the best English teachers I've ever had. He's really nice, chill, and really funny. He's give a lot of helpful feedback and input in your work and wants you to become a better writer. There's a 200-400 word journal for every article which is super easy and he even replies to your entires too unlike most teachers. You must take him!!!!!

Best Prof. I've had at Suffolk thus far. Hilariously funny for a 9am, energetic and always giving positive feedback. Never rude or arrogant, he is the perfect professor and so smart. Took his basketball hoops and dreams class; MUST TAKE. Plan on taking him in the future for any class. Down-to-earth, nice guy

I had Dr. Miller for my freshman seminar class and he was such an amazing professor so I took him again for writing 102. He makes class fun and joyful, cracks lame but funny jokes all the time. He lets you revise any paper you want & takes the better grade. He is a great professor! Would take his class again and again if I could!

I did not have much interest in the subject but his enthusiasm made me a lot more interested. He just has an awesome personality and for a 9am class he was always awake and alert- even if the students weren't. He is very understanding, and will let you revise your essays if you think you deserve a better grade. Definitely take him.

Miller is one of Suffolk's best, most respected Profs. He is extremely smart and encourages all students to think outside the box. You can hand in assignments months late and still get full credit and you will barely have to show up to class, but you'll want to put in effort because he makes you want to make him proud. Easy A. Best professor I've ever had. The material can be hard, but he tries to make it interesting and enjoyable. We learned a lot that we can take into the working world after we graduate. He's hilarious and incredibly helpful.

Miller is great. Hes amazingly relatable and hilarious. He genuinely wants you to succeed and doesnt overload you with work. He sticks to his syllabus and has a fun and engaging class environment. I strongly recommend him for your First Year Writing Class.

Youll do so much quality work and not even realize it because thats how laid back the class is. Attendance isnt mandatory, he posts everything in blackboard so you barely have to show up, but trust me, youll want to.

BEST PROFESSOR AT SUFFOLK. He truly cares about students. Does assign a lot of reading but is a very easy grader and he will let you keep resubmitting until you get the grade you want. Even for an honors class Prof. Miller gives super manageable work, and grades SO easy. Like 100s on essays easy. Funny and engaging even over zoom. Made me excited to come to class. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Professor Miller is incredible. The workload can be a lot sometimes, but everything he assigns is to help you grow as a writer and as a student. His grading works more to guide you, and he is so lenient with deadlines. If I could have him as a professor again, I would take his class no doubt. So friendly and knows how to keep a class rolling.

This guy is hilarious. He dances in class, cracks jokes, and a really nice guy. He makes learning fun and easy. In this class, he gives lots of small value assignments. Super easy to keep up with and attendance is not mandatory. I feel like I could've passed without going to class.

Miller was my favorite teacher I have ever had. Really down to earth guy with a great attitude. I had him at 8am on Zoom, so there were some days when everyone was tired and the class was boring, but that's more on the students than him. If I had his class at like 11am, it would have been much better and more interactive. I really recommend him!

Easily one of the best professors at Suffolk far and away. Super caring and involved prof who puts the time in for absolutely every student and wants to see you succeed. His behavior alone inspired students to participate in class and do better and he was just a joy to have, even at 8 am he made sure to keep everything fun and class was never bad.

Rich is a great guy. Very clear on what he wants and he tells you exactly what he wants. Just show up and do the work and you'll come out with a A.

Really great and likable guy. Intro to lit. feels like a high school English class, but he manages to make it fresh and enjoyable. He is very funny, and encourages participation from everyone without being pushy. He does not take attendance, so as long as you do the work online you are fine.
