Excellent professor. Tests are 25, True/False questions. If you understand each age group, you will do great. There is just something about the way he teaches that makes you really think. GREAT CLASS!

Prof. Wedemeyer, Rich, as he asks us to call him, is one of the best professors I've have had thus far. This the third class I've taken with him, and I prefer to take my Psych classes because of his teaching style.

Human Relations. This is a very unusual class. It's like learning the most important stuff you aren't going to see anywhere else. All about relationships and how to have them. Professor is outstanding.

Just finished another course with this professor, Human Sexuality. I really have nothing but good things to say about him and the class. I learned so much. I came in thinking I knew a lot about the subject, but it turns out to be a much more involved and complex subject. I reaaly like the way the class gets you to think for yourself.

I LOVED his class! He LOVES his class and that is what best about him, he loves his job and having a professor like that is very rare! His tests are fairly easy if you listen 25 questions all T/F. One thing he does not like is you to be late its very disturbing while he is IN THE ZONE of his teaching :) I highly recommend this professor!!!

Mr Wedemeyer is one of my favorite teachers. He is extremely helpful and will answer ANY question you have, even if it is off topic. His way of teaching is quick and easy but thorough. Most tests are true or false and if you attend class regularly you will more than likley pass with an A or a B.

IF you're lucky enough to need a class that this man teaches, then jump on it as soon as you can. I don't care if it means you have to switch the rest of your classes around this. This is THE best professor I have had yet due to his knowledge of the subject and his willingness to help you.

The only downside I personally had with this professor was that I waited until my last semester to have a class with him! He's great! Loved this class! You have to participate in class but he makes it fun! You have to go to class. I will be taking more of his classes. Test pretty easy if you listen. I made 90 and above on all test. You have a paper but you get the entire semester to write it. Not hard at all!

Humans Relations was very interesting! You will use the book and he requires it to be bought new. We did a ton of group activities. Participation and attendance required. 5 page term paper due at end of semester. He teaches about body language, relationships, and gives really good tips for job interviews! Very informative and very fun!

I only took this class because I needed it for my degree. I have learned so much from it, however. It has been the most amazing class I have taken thus far. The professor is amazing and delivers the material in ways that I can actually understand which is no easy task. I absolutely LOVE this class and everything I have learned this semester!!!

I cant say enough about Professor Wedemeyer. I wish I had known about him a long time ago and I would've taken ALL my psych courses from him. Rich has by far been my favorite professor at Rose State so far. He covers the material very eloquently and always has short videos to exemplify what you're learning.Text book use was low, you could almost take the tests without reading by studying powerpoints. A term paper is required- 5 pages but you have all semester to finish. Highly recommend!

This class has insight into human sexuality. It covers everything from the physical, mental, diseases, just about everthing you can think of. The Professor is very helpful and he knows what he is talking about. He is great with the material and I think he covered everything and was able to put real life situations in the the lecture. Great Professor if you really want to learn about counseling. He will teach you what the books do not. Even though attendance was not mandatory you will still want to go because you can not get most of the stuff he gives you out of the book. I love taking his classes.

Wedemeyer gave us the inside information that he said would determine if we continued with a psychology, social worker, etc. major. He performed demonstrations of the most recognized forms of counseling including Gestalt and Rogerian. As students we also practiced various counseling techniques. The class consisted of a few tests and nothing else.

Wedemeyer's Human Relations focuses on making us examine ourselves and how we deal with other people. He showed us various techniques that can improve of view of ourselves and our interactions with others. Some key topics were reading body language, emotions, and self improvement. We used a workbook for all our homework assignments. Great class.

Professor Wedemeyer is very clear on his expectations in and out of class. He uses power points and goes over every one that he assigns for the class. His demonstrations of real life counseling situations is pertinent to our career. I have had him in 4 different classes and he is fair and thorough.

I've taken Professor Wedemeyer for THREE different Psychology classes because I enjoyed his first class so much. (I don't even need them for my program, but was interested in the courses.) In Psychology of Human Relationships I learned a great deal about myself. I learned new techniques that have helped me in better understanding my partner and my relationships with my friends and family. If you pay attention you will do well. The tests come straight from the PowerPoints but there are also several application questions on the exams.

Intro to Counseling is one of his tougher classes. I would suggest taking Human Relationships first. But, if you study you will do well. The tests come straight from the PowerPoints and they are TF and multiple choice. There are a few application questions on the exams as well. All of his classes are awesome and you will learn a lot! :)

I took Psychology of Human Relationships and it was a great course to take. Wedemeyer explains everything in detail, gives in depth answers to questions, and the class is anything but boring because his interest and care for the subject is prevalent. The assignments are not hard, their was only one essay and the tests are easy if you go class.

Best to come to class as scheduled, to learn more than the book can ever teach. He is outspoken on believing in only Science. In my personal opinion Professor Wedemeyer is a phenomenal professor! He really engages with his students while sharing tidbits of his personal life. He's very understanding and compassionate. You can tell he really enjoys what he does and is passionate about psychology. His class is very engaging, however you MUST show up on time!

Makes it known that he is here for us and will work with you trough rough times if you show effort.

The class is test and essay heavy, all based off of the lecture though. He is a great professor who knows a lot about what he teaches about and has a ton of experience.

I've had Rich for 5 classes, he is extremely educated and passionate. Be prepared for short essays and just attend class! Psyc of Sexuality is an in-depth view of sexual activity and problems, also orientation and identity. Psyc Abnormal Behavior is an in-depth look at variations of common and uncommon mental illnesses. AWESOME PROFESSOR!

Wedemeyer's class is fantastic. I took him for Human Relations and while it was awkward on some parts, he's a really good professor who puts everyone at ease. He is upfront about the fact that he is hard of hearing, so if you need to speak with him, make sure he is looking directly at you. But he is a really good professor. Super helpful class.

Prof Wedemeyer's class is great! It is mostly lecture but as long as your showing up to class and listening you will do great. The lecturing is not bad and he really makes it very interesting to listen to. I have had him for 3 classes now and they have all been good. Very passionate about what he teaches!

My all time favorite class was Psychology of Human Relationships. He is so passionate and educated about what he teaches. I learned so much from him and if I had the extra time I would take his class again!

I recently attended his psychology of human sexuality class. I really enjoyed the class and lectures. Nice professor. Just attended do the work and you will do well. Test are open book, lectures will help on the test.

Psychology of human relationships was such an eye opening course. The assignments are completely about self discovery not just busy work out of the book. There is absolutely no reason to not pass this class with an A. Rich is very passionate about what he does and is open to any questions. He is hands down my favorite professor at Rose State.

Rich, as he prefers to be called, is an excellent professor. Class is mostly lecture, but he doesnt just read bullet points. He takes time to explore each topic so the class has a full understanding. His tests do not try to kill you, they try to make sure you understand the material. I am not a psych major, but I feel I have learned a great deal.

Dr. Wedemeyer applies his knowledge of cognitive psychology to his lecturing style which aids memorization of the material. The book is required, but, if there's anything you're not grasping, he goes into detail in class. He encourages interaction w the class in discourse. He posts the PP online, &recommends printing slides 3 per pg. for notes.

No book. Lecture every class period. Two essays and a few tests throughout the semester. He really tries to engage in his lectures and not just have you listen. You can tell he enjoys the subjects that he teaches and is very transparent with class.

I had him for developmental psychology and we learned really cool stuff. We learned the boring stuff like conception. then we had really awesome (and very exclusive) material on some longitudinal studies on several children every 7 years of their life! So awesome. We also learned about the genie story! His lectures will never be forgotten!

He genuinely cares about the students understanding what he teachers, and he is the most interactive teacher ever! intro to counseling class gives you understanding within the world of counseling. You'll learn about listening skills & how to reflect clients statements.

Professor Wedemeyer authored our homework manual with detailed questions that accentuate his lectures and powerpoints. We learn counseling careers, ethics, psychotherapy, therapeutic listening and attending skills, Existential, Gestalt, Behavior, Cognitive, Eclectic/Integrative counseling, and treatments. Excellent and intriguing class! Take it!

Love Professor Wedemeyer. Wish I could just sit with him for hours and have him just talk about counseling techniques and everything that he knows.

Excellent course. Attendance is required, but only for clear understanding of content. Literally the best professor and college class I have ever taken. Very applicable to life in general and taught many communication and interpersonal skills. Highly recommend this course, and especially taught by this professor.

I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR seriously my favorite by far and I graduate after this semester. I've taken 4 or 5 of his classes! He is great at teaching he keeps the lectures at a conversational level where your comments and feedback are appreciated and wanted. Professor Wedemeyer helped me find my dream career (counselor) by the first lecture! I had him in Spring 2020 when the pandemic broke out. The whole class was heartbroken because we were genuinely so excited to come to class and learn from him. He was very understanding about the situation and provided youtube lectures and extended due dates.

I learned extremely important facts from this course, that saved my life in then in nursing school. I was far ahead of the rest of my peers because of this professor! The emotion that he conveyed during lecture made very important points stick a lot easier, and I am not just talking about the psych semester! His lectures are a must!

Rich was one of the best professors Ive had! I took human relationships as well as intro to counseling. He is big on attendance, however, his lectures are so amazing youre not going to want to miss his class. He understands that people have test anxiety so he doesnt make you do timed test. Youre able to take them home.

Once again, Rich is not just a great guy, but a great professor too. He truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed. The counseling course is very enlightening and you learn all about techniques that counselors can use. Workload is very light- 4 total discussion posts and a workbook of how you would handle scenarios. A++++ professor.

I loved this professor! Although I took an online course, I still enjoyed watching his lecture videos. The only graded material is five discussion questions, so make sure to complete all of them. As long as you try to do your work, it is an easy and fun class. (He does offer an extra credit discussion question at the end of the term.)

Rich was an extremely helpful professor and I will miss having him as a teacher. I had him for 4 classes and he was my mentor for 2 honors projects. He is very knowledgeable and relatable. He has experienced a lot and always has a good story to tell. I still have a lot I can learn from him and I will be looking for his advice in the future.

Professor Wedemeyer is an absolute gem! He is very intelligent and sometimes likes to crack jokes. He is a people person and really likes to see people succeed and wants the best for people! I had him for three classes and he was great in all of them!

I've had a few classes with him and loved all of them. The work is usually really easy and the lectures really engaging and easy to follow. He's like a fun grandpa but really knows his stuff! He's very chill, answers questions well, and is willing to work with you if you're having trouble. I really learned and remember a lot from all his classes.

I really enjoyed having Rich as a professor. His style of teaching is different than other professors but I learned to enjoy it more as the semester progressed. Rich has lots of experience in psychology and great life experiences that he loves to share with his students. All of the assignments are simple essays which I enjoyed more than homework!

I've taken a lot of his classes, and he's consistently pretty great. He primarily teaches via lectures and slides. Sometimes essays and their rubrics can be frustrating, but he is very willing to speak to you about any problems you may have in order to help you achieve your personal academic goals.

Prof. Wedemeyer's great. I had four of his classes all in one semester - due to his teaching style and procedure of work, I was hardly stressed and most always interested in his subjects. He did require attendance for the first part of the semester but eventually let absences slide, I'm assuming for good reason. Wise, personable - recommended.

Prof. Wedemeyer is a wealth of knowledge. His own professional history is varied and he brings a lot of clinical pearls to lectures. Show up to every lecture, participate in activities and conversations, and take notes. He requires 4-5 essays per semester and is very clear about what is expected.

I have loved taking his classes! I took 3 total and would highly recommend everyone take at least 1 of his. He's extremely fair in grading, it upset me that many people would just not show up a lot of the time but I have no idea if they passed as you need to cite his lectures for full credit in papers. Gives a world of information and loves his job

Professor rich is amazing!! All of his lectures are always full of great info and it really feels like he enjoys what he does!! Attendance is kinda mandatory as you have to site his lectures in the 4 essays that you have throughout the semester. The essays are painless enough to write if you take notes and pay attention in class. 100% recommend!

He was an amazing Psychology Professor. He created a very open and welcoming environment for students. He deeply cared for his students and regularly made time for them to ask questions and work one-on-one with him during his office hours or through email. The only "downside" is he is very lecture-heavy and sometimes goes through notes too quickly.

I have taken him multiple times. Each class I took from him I got an A in. You will need to attend class to do well on the essays. Instead of having a lot of coursework, you will have about 5 essays to do. He was the best professor I have ever had.
