Awesome professor, easy to understand, great topic (philosophy), great guy and he's a total cutie!

Professor Brown is pretty easy going. He makes a lot of jokes and popular pop refrences that intellectuals might not get. If you cannot pass his class, then you don't have a brain and you are lazy.

HE IS AN EASY GOING GUY. ALSO APPEALING TO THE EYES. MAKE SURE YOU READ BEFORE YOU GO TO CLASS CAUSE YOU ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO GET A QUIZ. HE GIVES YOU EXTRA CREDIT. THE FIRST EXAM MIGHT BE A LITTLE CHALLENGING BUT IT CAN BE DONE. I GOT A A- IN THE CLASS AND I THOUGHT IT WAS CHALLENGING FOR ME BUT I GOT THRU IT AND SO CAN YOU. VERY FUNNY ALSO.

His class requires constant attention. material he covers is challenging and exams are not easy either. i would take his class again but his class is not easy. Nice guy over all.

He is a very smart professor trying to teach a hard class to not always willing students. Its a hard topic, but he seems concerned when students don't understand. I think one would get more out of the class if they spoke up. If you want to take a class that seems like you are at a 4 yr.school then take him. Not an easy grader.

i took two classes with Prof Brown. You need to work hard but won't regeret this class. I learned a lot (and different) things from his class, Highly recommended..two take home exam, final will be in class.

Intelligent, tries hard to make his class interesting. Gives online tests that facilitate group cheating but you cannot help but learn something in his class.

how could you think this professor is hard? he teaches students the way college students should be taught. if you really want to learn philosophy he's the professor you should take. if you're incapable of thinking and want the easy way out do not take philosophy at all because it is not for you.

Wow a lot of crybabies around here! Sure he is hard and you do have to work to get an A but it is possible.

If you're lazy this class isnt for you. If you like challenging college level courses (which laguardia rarely offers)then this professor is perfect for the job. His course was interesting and insightful. loved it!

Take lots of Notes, read all things he gives and you will pass. he talks fast and its hard to gather notes but try your best. :)

I hate philosophy! He is soostrict about 4 absences!! He will fail u! I didn't take the final, I already knew I wouldn't pass the test. It was too late for me to withdraw the class when I first realized philosophy wasn't forvme. So w.e I'm not losin sleep over it.

Gives an extreme amount of extra credit! :) Take notes or get a recorder and youll be fine. He is very knowledgeable and i would recommend it for people who are looking for a challenge.

EH... he's not horrible, he's a cool gu, i thought his phil of religion was sooo boring and just a boring topic all together..i'm not sure if a diff prof could have made it better but ohwell lesson learned phil was not the way to go, i realized after taking this class

If u hav good writing skills this is the class 4 u because there are alot of essays that really requires u 2 know and UNDERSTAND the lesson. and the axtra credit? MIND BLOWING..he gives alot! it will def boost ur grade. great ONLINE teacher..dont know how well he is in the classroom :)

Let me just say I am not a fan of Philosophy... BUT Prof. Brown is extremely helpful when it comes to answering questions about his exams. Gives lots of extra credit and homework, all of which can make or break ur grade so my advise is to do all the extra credit and do all the homework's. Most importantly ASK QUESTIONS!

he is an amazing professor, the only one who sparked my interest in philosophy. As long as you are willing to work hard in his class you should be fine. and he is knowledgeable. he does hate lateness. if you want to feel the burn of what a 4-year college's intro to philosophy would be like, then he is your guy.

I must say I had no prior interest in philosophy, and it remained so after taking the class. The workload was heavy, had to write up two to four page-essay every week and it became pain in the back as it went by. If you're not genuinely interested in, or understand the subject don't take him. He's a lenient grader though.

He is super knowledgible. You work very hard in the class. A lot of homework assignments. You have to put in the work but you get a lot in return. The class is super intresting and the way he explains it is brilliant! he is also very funny and nice. i would deff recomend this proffesor if you want to feel productive and actually learn!!

I love this professor! The best professor in philosophy. He makes it really interesting and fun. He explains everything and if you don't understand, he has no problem explaining it all over again. Very patient, amusing and interesting! Take him, he makes it worth it being in class!

Receiving a grade was never what motivated me to take this class. It was first and foremost, subject matter. My thanks to Dr. Brown for his time and instruction. I can't really say enough about how well the material was presented and the overall exchange that happened within the classroom last semester. Laguardia is very fortunate to have him.

Great, brilliant guy with sense of humour, but his philosophy/ethics class are really hard. The amount of stuff you have to write every week and on the take-home essays is overwhelming. I spent most of my time writing and worrying whether it's enough. Overall - GREAT teacher, but he gives A LOT of homework.

Interesting class. kinna hard. he's a good teacher. he's crazy in a funny way. interesting personality to deal with. very smart. he gives a lot of opportunities to boost your grade with extra credit towards the end. he's lazy and grades blackboard test and assignments when he feels like it. he has a pHD and does not know how to spell or write.

I would have to say this is one of the best professors I had in LaGuardia. The work load goes well as long as you do it on time. He's great and has a good sense of humor. If you get a chance to take a class with this professor do it! You wont regret it. He is really into the topics he teaches and is willing to always be of assistance.

I took Ethic and Morales class with him. He looks young and one of the best professors in LaGuardia Community College. He wants us to work for some assignments, but he is a good grader. I would love to be in his class again. He's amazing and his lectures are inspirational and I learnt so much good things in his class, which I could use in my life.

I never left a lecture without a response to my question. He loves what he teaches about, and tries to be innovative in the classroom. Overall, I fully enjoyed learning from doctor Brown.

I was usually lost, averaged B'sC's on exams but still got an A because I did all hw on time, let's you do unlimited extra credit. Took his class awhile ago but I still think he's awesome & a super genius. He's really passionate about philosophy, likes when you participate, ask questions, encourages group discussions. Dr. Brown is one of LaGuardia's most influential Prof's, he is CLEAR, CONCISE AND HELPFUL. However, the only way a student can FAIL his class is BY NOT DOING any of the READINGS or ASSIGNMENTS. Overall he is truly AMAZING and FULL of RICH KNOWLEDGE.

I took the hybrid "Intro to Logic" during the short session. I was told this class was very difficult. I had no difficulty with it. I ended up with 105/100 as my final score for the class. This is due to the responsiveness of the professor, and the flexibility of a hybrid course. Prof. Brown is passionate about philosophy and an asset to LAGCC

I wish all my professors were like him. He answers all your questions no matter what they are, and is very clear with his reasons. The work taught in class can always be reflected back to every day occurrences and everything is teaches is very interesting. I took his general psychology course, no midterm or final. DO ALL THE ONLINE WORK AND SHOW UP

Prof. Brown is the best professor I have ever had at LaGuardia. I truly wish all my professors could be like him. I found myself ALWAYS paying attention (we all know how hard that is) and never becoming disinterested. He's fascinating, smart and even easy on the eyes! .. He does send some heavy homework but you'll know what to do!

I took his Logic and Philosophy course back in 2015. He is very intelligent, funny and helpful! He always answers emails quickly and in class he takes the time to make sure you understand what is going on in the class because it is easy to get confused. No textbook or final exam but there is an online program called Aplia which is mainly used.

Professor Brown is very kind and generous to his student. He loves to answer the question which comes from students. Just do all online homework and always present in the class. No midterm and final exam. Lots of extra credit. Just do all the assignment and take notes when he gives lectures that's helps to do assignment. He's really a good person.

Great teacher, really understanding. Weekly writing assignments AND he gives you a free pdf version of the textbook! There are some in class writing assignments and theyre kind of like Q&A quizzes there is a lot of extra credit to redeem yourself if need be! Always ends class a little earlier too so thats a plus would take again!

His lectures are inspiring and thorough! be sure to download the powerpoints to use as study guides! he is always happy to answer any questions you may have and reminds us always to be critical thinkers. do your homework, participate in class and be ready for pop quizzes and you'll enjoy this class! I personally found the launchpad homeworks fun!

Richard Brown is an okay professor. His homework's are easy because its questions based off the chapters in the book and are opinion based however, his in class writing assignments are too much. He expected you to write a whole essay in 10 minutes and expects you to know everything about philosophy. If he didn't give extra credit, I would have fail

Professor Brown was passionate to this course. At first I want to drop because the material was so hard. You need to work your butt off in order for you to pass. Not easy A and you need to study everyday in order to get it. Class was exciting

I wrote a review previously for Professor Brown and wanted to add something about his writing assignments. Yes, he assigns a weekly writing assignment question for you to answer in paragraph/essay form. If you PAY ATTENTION during his lectures, he WILL HINT "this is something I would probably have a writing assignment on" etc. I had no issues.

he is very passionate and always ready to answers students queations. he will give extra credits if students ask for it.

I had a blast class in SSY 101 because he is awesome and smart teacher. I just loved it...I hope anatomy 1 and 2... Definitely I'll take his class because it is easy to understand his lecture...

I took neuroscience with him. I hate science but he made it interesting and engaging! His lectures were easy to follow, and he made practical connections and applications between the material and real life. Quizzes every week, but he would hint what they would be on and easy labs in class. No homework, tests are online.

Amazing lectures, just do the assignments and ask question

Professor Brown is awesome. His lectures for HUP 102 are very helpful and he's always open to discussions. The online textbook is for 20 something dollars and after each chapter, you just have to complete and hand in HW questions. It doesn't matter if you get a few wrong 'cause he will still award you the full marks. It's an easy A to be honest.

Professor Brown is awesome. I don't think there's much to be said about him. But he cares about all his students. Take his classes!

His class was not mandatory to attend and he gives you a week for the homework assignments but the questions are a little difficult so give yourself time to read and understand what he is asking.

Great professor, sometimes the lectures got really trippy but that's what made them interesting. Just read the material and do what is on the syllabus and you'll do well. Enjoy - Daniel
