Although he's very methodical in his lectures, he's evenmore of a comedian. He's unbelievably funny. Before this class I never had an interest in history (western civilization). I thought it stunk; however, thanks to him history was fun to learn. All-in-all, he's an awesome professor.

This is the way most professors should teach. Dr. Corsieri is completely familiar with his subject matter, he makes history fun and he offers opportunities for x-credit. What a concept: Learn and enjoy the class all at the same time. Take Western Civ. 1 & 2 even if you don't need it.

This teacher is the best History teacher i had in my life. I took him twice hes Awesome. He does stand up comedy, plays the flute, the saxaphone, he can sing, the man is a Genius!! Absolutely hilarious!! If you don't like history, you'll love it after this class. Mixes comedy in every single lecture. Makes you want to attend every class. Tests are a piece of cake. If you don't get at least a B with this guy, then there's something wrong with you.

take notes and you'll do fine. i really enjoyed his class. he was passionate and funny. his tests are simple as long as you attend the classes and listen. his best policy is that he does not fail students. you can get up to a 50% in the class and pass. if you get below a 50%, then he says that you withdrew from the class.

Doctor Corseri is probably one of the best teachers Ive had. His classes are well put together, informative, and at times funny he lectures for the full hour and his note headers will always be the answers on each test. He rarely fails anyone just show up take good notes and you should get the A.

I really wish that every professor would teach like DR. Corseri, he is definetely the best History teacher I've ever had, and the best of the BCC professors, hands down. A renaissance man that definetely loves to teach and will leave in you a love for history. I swear every professor should be like him!, Rock on Dr. Corseri!

He is a good teacher because he lectures in a storytelling style vs the dry facts only. His interesting story telling makes it easier to recall what he taught. No tricks what he states in notes is exactly how tests are worded. One of the most interesting classes I have ever taken.

Took him for 2 classes and thought that it was worth it, he is very entertaining and can stimulate your mind, TESTS ARE NOT EASY, but if you like the subject...take it.

OMG!!! Professor Corseri is one of the best history teachers you can take. He lets you know all you need to know for each test, and after you take that test, you dont have to worry about those notes again. Its easy to get a good grade in his class, you just got to study and have a good memory. I studied, I passed with a "C" due to my own laziness.

Corseri is the best professor of South campus; he really has a passion for history and teaching. You don't need to buy the book because you study from your notes. Test aren't hard just 30 easy questions. One more thing, don't be late to class since you don't want to miss any of his great lectures. EXCELLENT PROFESSOR.

Most likely one of the easiest classes on campus. Corseri knows what he is talking about. I used to fall asleep in history classes, but with his lectures, I could stay awake *and* understand what he was trying to convey. Thirty three questions on each of the 3 tests, no homework, no book needed, just write good notes, study, and you'll pass.

Disregard all other comments and pay attention to this one.The lowest possible grade is a "C". There is no homework and no use of any text books. To get an A you must take down very good notes. He makes his lectures seem like an interesting conversation. The test are not that hard and studying 3 hours the day before does the trick. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Go to class, listen, and take notes of his interesting lecture. Study them the weekend before the 3 non-cumulative tests (always on a Monday) and you'll be good to go. They are fill-in-the-blank! He's so cool, I would take Civ 2 in a heartbeat if I had room.

I took both of Dr. Corseri's Western Civ classes. The first because I needed the credit and the second because he's just that awesome. This was never my subject but he made them my favorite classes by far. No need for the book. Memorize the key terms he gives you and study them before each test. Everyone generally uses flashcards. Awesome teacher!

As a note: YOU LITERALLY CAN NOT FAIL THIS CLASS! If your grade is below a C he will withdraw you from the class regardless of drop date. It isn't a difficult class but it's nice to have the assurance that no matter how hard you mess up, at the very worse you are going to get a C or a withdrawal.

Very fun teacher. Only requirement is to show up and take notes. You can do well as long as you take good notes and show up to EVERY class. Only bad thing was theres only 3 quizzes that will determine your entire grade. He's really fun and makes the class fun...would definitely take him again.

CORSERI IS MY FAVORITE TEACHER AT BCC!! I love history, but I have to agree most teachers make it boring. He makes it come to life and he explains things very well. There are only three tests and each has only about 15 questions that come directly from the notes. As long as you listen to what he says (I barely had to take notes) you will do fine :)

One of the best teachers at South Campus. I don't care about history but this guy tells it from his heart and puts his own jokes into it. You will laugh and leave with a smile. No need for a textbook. He puts the terms on the board, copy them and write what he says. Study the terms the night before (all you need really). Took him for 1000 and 1001

Where to begin on this one. First off, I had Dr. Corseri for Western Civilizations. This man is a great teacher and person. He is very well read but is extremely friendly and is definitely a bit of a joker. His passion for History and teaching will get you interested almost immediately. There's no homework; just notes and i believe 3 tests. Easy A!

Very good teacher, take careful notes especially of the terms on the board cause it's on the test. Study it the day before. His class is pretty standard, in that he stands the whole class lecturing--but it's the way he does it. He's so entertaining. He gives three fill-in-the-blank tests; answers are what he puts on the board before lectures. No book, just take notes.

There is no work in the class, just lectures. His lectures aren't even boring, they are very entertaining. His tests relate exactly to what he writes on the board. I got a B out of sheer laziness, I didn't study for a single test. Class was easy, but I still learned a lot. He might be retiring so if you can get a class with him, grab it!

I went to college to study journalism in mid the 90's...some friend of mine told me to take dr corseri...i did...i then became a history teacher all because of this AWESOME class. I never went back to see him and thank him. The man was a gifted teacher second to none.

Dr. Corseri is a very educated man. He does not use the book, so do not even bother purchasing one. Take a lot of notes, and keep on top of them.His grading style is excellent, three tests, equal in value to determine your grade. If you really pay attention and rehearse your notes you will learn a lot and get an A, guaranteed.

Literally go to class and write notes about what he says because thats what the questions on the exam are like. NO HOMEWORK. Just 3 tests. He made history interesting. Has a good sense of humor. Go to class, Study your notes and your will for sure get an A.

Dr. Corseri is incredible. I took him for EUH1000 and liked him so much I took him again for EUH1001 (which was an even more interesting class) Here's the deal: Show up, take lots of notes, and pay attention. He gives you EXACTLY what you need to pass. You do not need the book. He recites this stuff from memory. No homeqwork, just 3, equal tests.

Prof. Corseri is such an intelligent man that he lectures from memory. He doesn't gives reviews and you have to take your own notes , which can be tricky as you can sometimes miss important info. However, once you understand how he does his tests, you will do just fine. He made weird jokes and had some remarks that could be contrued as insulting!

AMAZING PROF!!! I took him during Covid and it was his first time teaching an online class. HE WAS AMAZING!! Great lectures, not boring. 3 tests based on easy notes. Super nice and entertaining lectures. He is so knowledgeable and experienced and always gets through everything in one class, doesn't run late. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
