This is one of the most educational professors I have ever been instructed by. The class moves only at a pace that is comfortable for everyone. Mr. Culp has a genuine interest in his students and actually pushes his students to succeed by sacrificing his own time.

I will really miss this class. He has two passions in life: 1. Accounting and 2. Teaching it. Don't take advantage of the class just because you saw he's an awesome prof. You do need to study and understand the material. That is what gets you an A.

I am not one for business classes or any kind of math. He really helped alot. Turn in the homework, it's just completion but you still get points if you write jumble. And ask him if you have a question on a test. HE'LL GIVE YOU THE ENTIRE ANSWER!!!

Richard Culp is a bad ass, and is a excllent teacher. He makes ACC 201 do-able, and helps you alot with your HW. His class isn't cake, while at the same time it isn't extreemly hard. He isn't afraid to say the ocassional**** or damn,and gives life lessons on marriage lol.

LOVED THIS CLASS! He is a great professor and I wished he taught Accounting 202. I had class at 930 and I never thought about skipping because he made class so entertaining! Would recommend anyone try to get in his class! He is very willing to help you outside of class if it is needed.

Culp is the MAN. I had no idea what accounting would be like and he almost made me want to become an accounting major. Makes class so fun and overall he's such a cool guy. Life lessons on marriage, and in life are included haha. Take this class, and forget about the rest.

Dr Culp is my favorite professor I've had since I've been at BSU. He is great at what he does and not only wants all his students to succeed, but also makes sure that every one does. This is a fantastic teacher he really loves what he teachers about. He is a fantastic teacher he tries his very best to make sure that everyone understands the subject. Wouldn't recommend taking the online class. Culp will meet with you on campus and give tutorials, which are the best. He goes over test questions and explains things the book doesn't cover. Don't bother taking online, take Culp in class. He's hilarious and you'll get an easy A if you do.

Prof. Culp explains the material in a way that makes it simple! His personality made me want to get up and go to class at 9:30 & my respect for him drove me to do well. Mr. Culp was hands down the best professor that I have ever had at Ball State. I definitely recommend him for this class, he was seriously amazing. The lectures weren't too bad and we got out early a lot of the time. He also writes his own tests, so the material on them is actually what you learned in class, not what the book tests say.

I had problems focusing&understanding the material, but he really helped me through the semester. He was there for me every step of the way. His class isn't that hard as long as you show up and pay attention to the classes. Some people might not like his stories but I do.

I never read the book. I just showed up to class and did the homework. To ace the tests, go over your homework carefully. Then, it'll be an easy A.

He provides good slides for notes, but there's a lot of vocab as well. Overall, it's a pretty decent course-load. But he uses McGraw Hill Connect, which makes the homework and stuff easy to follow.

Professor Culp is easily the best professor you'll find in the accounting department. Before every exam he has a review session where he'll tell you everything that will be on it. Homework is light and he'll give you full credit as long as you complete it. He has a lot of real world experience and his stories are the best part of the course.

Great teacher and seems like a great guy. Tells funny stories that usually relate to class. Mrs. Culp is such an enigma I have to meet her. Explains concepts fast enough to get through, yet slow enough for the whole class to grasp. Ask questions and you will be answered. Homework is through connect, which is nice. This professor is wants to relate you, and even though it is accounting, he understands that accounting can be boring, so he tries to make as enjoyable as possible, one the best professor I've ever had.

Show up to class and take detailed notes. Dont be afraid to ask for extra examples in class; he doesnt always thoroughly explain things the first time. He always tells you exactly what is going to be on tests. Just practice problems in the book and do the homework and you will be fine. He wants everyone to pass.

Culp makes the math understandable (it's basic math, so don't sweat it) and the lectures interesting. He uses the textbook in class, so have a paper copy or bring your laptop. He will indicate what topics you need to study before each exam, and rarely has surprise questions. Extra credit is available if you go to accounting club meetings.

He's very easy going, but make sure you go to class. If you go and just pay attention you should be alright. Do all of the hw and make sure to write down everything he does on review day and do examples of those to study and that will help you get a good grade on the exams. If you ask him questions during tests he'll lead you to the answers

Even having this class as an 8am I did not dread going to it. Prof Culp makes accounting much more interesting and fun, he is always willing to help out his students, take advantage of this during tests ask him questions hell lead you to the answer or closer than you were before. Make sure you attend his class he takes attendance everyday.

100% take Culp's class in person. He's really nice and only teaches you what you need to learn for the tests. Our final involved us picking the topics the questions would be over, and he would go over (precisely) what would be on each exam. Really nice guy overall, just tends to talk a bit too much about his own life/experiences as an accountant.

Culp is an great professor and I highly recommend taking his class. The workload mostly consists of easy online assignments. He lets you know exactly what is going to be on the exams. He also offers extra credit for attending the accounting club meetings. He makes class interesting and actually made me decide to change my major to accounting!

I struggled in the beginning but did my best and always showed up, but struggling early gave me a challenge to catch up, i ended with a few point from passing but without asking, he gave me the points needed to pass, hes a good man, definitely take his class
