I took him for Intro to communications and he was amazing! He's hilarious, makes lectures fun, and a moderate amount of work. Just do the work and you'll get an easy A. There's a book assigned towards the end, but it's simple and fun to read. He likes group activities but they're not too much. Highly recommend!!! Great guy too, very passionate.

Dr. Curry is the best professor I've ever had. BY FAR THE BEST. I usually have problems with online classes, but he makes it so easy that all you have to do are the little essays which should take you 10 minutes. there is no tests or finals. the only "quiz" is on the book, but its open note so ALSO EASY. YOU WON'T REGRET IT PROMISE.

The easiest class I have taken by far. As long as you are doing assignments you will get an A. No need for the audience of 5 as it is in other Lone Star College-Online speech classes. This is literally what the online class should look like. Offers extra credit and let you do the make-up assignments.

I took this class online, minimester in 3 weeks. There were 1-2 lectures that lasted 20 mins each week, & 1 assignment based off of the lectures each week. Super simple and easy grading. I didn't buy the textbook, I'm glad I didn't because we had to buy the access code from the book's website anyway that included the book and was cheaper. No final.

Taking speech with Professor Curry was great. Lectures were easy to follow and homework assignments mostly involved writing one to two pages on the lecture. Easy class!!

Dr. C is an amazing professor! There's a lot of reflections to work for but it's an easy A. His class is double for three weeks. He gives extra opportunities to his students so make sure to email him on time and he will help you out. Take him and you won't regret it.

I took his online synchronous class during the COVID-19 lock-down. The class consisted of 2 weekly lectures via Webex in place of the in-person lectures, each with a corresponding short paper or textbook chapter to complete. The assignments were simple to follow and really made you think about what you learned. Overall a great professor.

His lectures are very informative and gives real world examples. Grades are up pretty fast, so you know where you stand throughtout the course. Midterm and final are not required for this class.

I loved Dr. C's class! It started off as a hybrid, but was forced into just online. But, from my view, it didn't seem like a problem for Dr. C! Professor Curry gives extra credit opportunities to raise your grade. The Learn Smart Connect assignments were easy to get an A. Other assignments like discussion or reflections were not hard to do. If you don't like to make a presentation video, you should take Professor Curry because he doesn't require you to do Presentation video.

Dr . Richard Curry is easy. I took the 8 -weeks online course. No quizzes. no test, no final. 2 lecture videos for each week and some skills assignment. Easy to get straight A.

He provides lecture videos which are not boring at all and opens up all assignments at the beginning of the week which is nice if you want to work ahead. I took Interpersonal Comm for a 6 wk online class and LOVED it! I kept expecting a test, but none! It was read chapter, answer questions, watch short video of CH, write a reflection (like a journal entry). It was super easy to understand and manage. I liked Prof Curry. He made the class easy to follow. I took the 6 week course and it wasn't a crazy amount of work at all. You just need to stay on top of the online completion-grade textbook questions and record your speeches on time. You have to get the online textbook because you have to do the questions.

I took this class in summer 2 online and it was super easy. There is kinda a lot of work weekly but it is not too difficult. Usually one to two 1.5 page papers, connect questions over the chapter, and a lecture. Do the work and you will get an A.

Other than having to complete textbook chapters online through Connect, the class is super fun. No test but you have to write reflections, no citations and you are just writing about what you think about the prompt. Funny, gives good feedback and seems to care about you getting good grades!

I took the 6wk course online, during that time we went through 2-3 chapters a week with each chapter having 1-3 assignments. He posts online lectures that are funny and easy to follow, and Professor Curry responds fast to emails (even last-minute ones). I took his summer class (5week course) and I managed to get an easy A. Dr. C is an outstanding professor! He is very detailed and well organized. The workload is somewhat heavy, but not at all hard, but you have to do the work. I took his SPECH-1311 6 week course, I missed and assignment and by the next week he had reached out to make sure everything was going ok. He wants his students to learn and to pass which is refreshing. I would take this professor again in a heart beat.

Took an 8-week class. We were required to write one to two papers every week and complete multiple McGraw-Hill chapter work too. It sounds like a lot, but it's very doable. He gives excellent feedback on the writings, better than any professor I've ever taken the past two years. He is not for everyone, but most people should be able to get an A.

I took his class during the 8-weeks mini-semester and I could not ask for a better Speech professor other than him. All of your work is due on Sunday at 11:59 for every week. Do his work and login into his classroom every day and you would be just fine. There should be no reason for you to email him whatsoever, but he has his email there.

Professor Curry is one of the nicest Professors I have had and thankfully we only had a quick intro video and another video to present to the class I didnt have to continue to make speeches which Im so thankful for I am not well with publicly speaking but thanks to Dr. Curry I do feel more comfortable with it. Take his class SPCH 1321 this fall. His class is well organized and not really difficult. A 8 week course is pretty relaxed, which does not require to spend really much of time on the weekly assignment.

Great professor, the class is not heavy at all. Very easy to contact for any information or help, lectures were very interesting and funny at times with the clips he would add (one was from The Office). We did have to record 2 videos which I was very nervous about but actually really enjoyed seeing the rest of my classmates.

I have taken Prof Curry for his SPCH 1311 & 1321 courses. Both have the exact same layout with different content. I took 1311 as a requirement, but 1321 was simply because I enjoyed the way he taught. There's no final, extra credit, and memes in the lecture vids!! 10/10, would take a third time if I could. I was a bit hesitant on taking an online speech class but this has been one of my favorite classes! I am extremely shy but Dr. Curry made me feel extremely comfortable in this speech class. He has one lecture every week and two to four assignments all due by the end of the week.

One of the best out there! He keeps the class fun and interesting, even if it's an online course! The online textbook is easy to use, it highlights what you need to know for the quizzes which is helpful. 45 min video lectures once a week and a 1 1/2 page reflection to go along. Grades come back quickly and he leaves great feedback.

I would highly recommend this course! To be honest I was not looking forward to taking any form of speech, communications is not a strong point for me and I have a fear of public speaking. Dr. Curry changed that for me, I feel that I learned so much from him, he is very organized, responsive, and his lectures are interesting.

Prof Curry's SPCH 1321 Class was a well laid out, easy to complete class. The assignments are very straight forward. I was able to complete my week of assignments in 3-4 hours time. The lectures are great and I was able to apply a lot of the curriculum in my immediate job. Uses Connect for assignments, so I only paid for the online access. Enjoyed!

Professor Curry is such a great professor. His lectures are very interesting he uses Mcgraw Hill (not hard to do). You do have weekly small personal discussions but not anything you cant handle. He has a lot of videos and short readings that help understand good forms of communication. TAKE HIM!

Dr. Rick Curry made this very condensed 3-week course very doable. His expectations for class assignments were very clear and he made it easy to stay on track. This semester is tough for me because studying online is not my favorite but I still get through this Winter class because of this professor. This class was pretty easy and simple to follow. There's a reflection and LearnSmart assignments nearly every week. The questions can range from 20-100 questions that are easy, but time consuming. Since this is a speech class, you do have to make videos of yourself (about 5) if you take this course online. Overall, it's a pretty decent class.

This was by far the easiest and best class I have taken. This class consists of weekly essays and chapter readings with some questions, however, as long as you do the work you can get an easy 100. There are some speech videos that you have to do, but he is very easy on those too. I definitely recommend taking this class.

Dr. Curry was an amazing professor who clearly cares for his students. He not only offers assistance but is very patient. The class itself was well put together, organized, and the material was easy to understand. The class was both inspirational and informational.

Dr.C was an amazing professor! He truly cares about his students and is super accessible through text or email when needed! Although speech is a requirement, I genuinely enjoyed his class and would take it again in a heartbeat! Take him if you get the chance!!

Very organized, very easy, very self explanatory, video lectures easy to comprehend This class was a very easy A! Take him! You will not regret!! He grades everything quickly and there is no confusion in this class and there is not that much work to do.

Dr. Curry's class is easy and informative. There's online homework and reflections over the lecture videos due every week, but they're simple and Dr. Curry is great at helping whenever you need it. One of the best professors I've had at Lone Star, I highly recommend taking his class!

Professor Curry helped me learn a lot about communication and why communicating with other is important and beneficial. He was super helpful whenever I got behind on something, which is amazing! He also made learning interesting which not a lot of professors can do! He gets an A+ from me!

Dr. Curry is an amazing professor! You can tell he loves doing what he does. Took him for the 8-week session and it was pretty easy. He gives weekly lectures (very interesting btw), and you have to reflect in 1.5 pages. I would take him again.

There's work every week but everything is due at the end of the week which is good for people like me who also work full time. The grading felt generous as long as you complete all the assignments you should do well.

The professor was really great because he didn't make the class boring with his lectures. He always sounded upbeat especially when it came to the speeches portion of the course. He really tried to push people out of their comfort zone, and make sure everyone tries their best.

I took the online 8-week course, and I did just fine. He gives very simple assignments, and he is a good teacher.

I really enjoyed Professor Curry's class. I put off this class for a long time, but he made it an enjoyable experience. He is incredibly understanding and gives you everything you need to succeed. Be prepared to write, but it is nothing too crazy. Just turn in your assignments, make an honest effort, and you will be fine.

Great professor, just do your work on time and you'll pass. Assignments are fairly easy. Not a lot of assignments are assigned for the week, and everything is due by the end of the week.

Best professor I've ever had!

His lectures are easy and not too long to mostly 30minutes. Took 8week mini, you do about 2 short reflection journals per week (1.5page each, informal) answering questions on the lecture, and connect assignments. Sometimes discussion posts. Just do your work to pass. 1 makeup work given + extracredit. I missed an assignment and still got a A+

Overall, just a wonderful professor. He really seems like he reads each and every assignment with accurate feedback based on your pieces. Really encouraging and motivating to share our story no matter what others think. I definitely will carry the curriculum from this course with me every day in the real world.

I took this Maymester class to get my speech credit out of the way and I 100% would recommend him to anyone!

I took this as a 3-week course and the workload is very doable. Participate, engage and do the work and you will do fine. Dr. Curry is a great communicator and made things very clear in his lectures and assignments. I would take him again in the future. You will have several reflections to write, connect assignments, and not to mention no tests.

This professor is super passionate about communications. Lectures for every chapter, which I appreciate. Do the work and you will pass with an A, no problem!

I really enjoyed the lectures that he had and there is no final exam but there is a 1.5 page to write for most assignments that are reflection journals not bad if you have alot to say though!

I took this class as a 3-week course. I don't blame him for the workload, it's what you sign up for when taking a mini-mester. You had to write a reflection daily & had Connect assignments that took a while sometimes. Overall, his lectures were great! I never found his assignments to be difficult, you just gotta pull through it. Super organized.

I took this online class in a 3 week mini mester. The work load was heavy, but it was a 3 week class. Very doable if you stay on track. There are daily reflections and Connect assignments. No test. All his lectures were very informative of the topic being discussed. Organized class and he gives good feedback and grades pretty fast.

Dr. Curry is an amazing professor! This has been my favorites class so far. He doesn't give quizzes or test but does require journal entries but this has helped me retain the information. TAKE HIS CLASS!

By far, the best professor I have had during the pandemic. I had this man for the 3-week-minimester course and I will tell you, there are no tests, he grades easily, and I actually learned in the class. The assignments had clear due dates, and there are good extra credit opportunities. A fair bit of writing and reading, But an easy, no-stress A.

Professor Curry is very respectful and caring. He responded to my emails promptly and was very easy to get in contact with. Speech is a class that I didn't really care about, I came into the class already feeling like I was pretty good at public speaking. Despite all of that, even I would have to admit this class was informative.

He is a great professor. You have to however put in effort on your end in order to receive a good grade. The lectures are enjoyable and the assignments are a great way to express yourself.

His assignments mainly consist of reflection papers and textbook work. You do need to purchase an e-textbook (McGraw Hill) though. Otherwise, I really do recommend this professor!

He has a checklist for each week which is great to not forget to submit your assignments. He responds quick to emails and provides prerecorded lectures. You won't regret taking his class!

Profesor curry was very organized and made the class easy to understand. The lectures were interesting and consisted of doing the online book and weekly reflections for the most part. It is not a hard class and as long as you put in some effort and do the work you will do just fine!

He is super funny, very relatable, extremely caring, and he understands that were as students go through life so he is lenient. I took his speech public speaking and I will also be taking his source 1321 business professional this fall. Hes the best!

The professor was willing to help as long as students reached out to him. Also, the professor provided lectures that he recorded himself to help students get a better understanding of the topics discussed in class. After grading each assignment, the professor leaves good feedback that students can use to help improve their grades in the future.

Dr. Curry has been my favorite professor so far, my favorite thing about him by far is the way he organizes his course. He clearly states what you have to do during the week and is very lenient when grading as long as you do the work. My only complaint is that during one week, he brought politics into the course.

Dr. C's online class was great. He followed the syllabus and is very well organized. I enjoyed his lectures and I have to say I learned a lot about communication in this class and it has made me a better communicator. Dr. Rick Curry is an amazing professor! His online class is very organized and easy to follow. Each week you are assigned to watch a lecture video that he puts together, write a reflection on the lecture, and complete a Connect assignment. No tests, easy assessment grades, and extra credit. Highly recommend his class!

He encouraged me to keep going which in the middle of going through some tough things and gave me an extension for the course so I could continue and pass. He is clear and precise in his lectures and the work isnt hard at all. You just have to schedule well and youll be fine.
