Great speaker....Kept class interested wiyh many personal stories...Promoted class involvement in discussions...All around nice guy...He is the reason I want to become a professor, maybe even at Tunxis...

Mr. Edwards makes learning fun. Classes are almost always informative and entertaining. Five (!) tests and three papers. Not an easy grader, but always fair.

Prof. Edwards gives very intereseting lectures, so you wont need coffee. Also the tests can be hard if you dont read the text and follow lecture, but if you give a good effort youll allright overall a very good teacher

I am taking this opportunity to say that anyone taking sociology should take professor Edwards great sense of humor and overall the best and smartest professor we got on our campus not like other professor no comment !

i really enjoyed his class and did well on the take home assignments however, i thought the first exam was way too hard. i did poorly and studied my butt off. all in all, i enjoyed his class

Prof. Edwards aka Sean Conery, is a top notch teacher. His style of teaching enables students to do well.

I love his class, he weaves his own life stories into the chapter we learning about... awesome sense of humor.. great overall teacher!

Professor Edwards is probably one of the best professors i have ever had. His classes are so interesting and if you study for the exams you are golden. I have taken three classes with him and i have loved it every single time.

I'll describe Edwards as: a breath of fresh air at TCC. Finally a teacher that is willing to help and enjoys what he does. He's an amazing teacher and probably one of the most interesting teachers on campus. You wont think the same after taking his class! Just do your homework and study and you'll be fine!

I took Edwards for all 3 of my sociology classes. His method of teaching is great. You will never feel sleepy in his class. However, his tests are tough so you really have to study. P. S. his accent is so HOT!

Proffesor Edwards is top notch. I took 3 of his classes in my time at tunxis, they were all among my favorites. He is clear and easy to listen to, as well as very interesting. Wish all teachers were as good as him!!!

prof. edwards is definitley the best teacher i've ever had i took a sociology class before and i hated it but prof. edwards class is so funny and intresting that it makesn me want to learn i really enjoy his class and think he is definitley one of the best teachers on campus

Professor Edwards is definitely the best teacher that I have this semester!! His teaching style is a good blend of informity and relating to the student!! this combination is part of what makes him such a great proffessor!!!

Professor Edwards is one of the best teachers at TXCC. If you havent taken a class with him, I highly reccomend you do. He is very interesting and informative. He makes you want to learn the material. The class is hard if your lazy and not intelligent, but if you work at it you should be fine!

Great teacher, always makes class fun and interesting, has lots of statistical knowledge of the American political system although is is originally from Great Britain. Lectures are always informative and a pleasure to attend, has a side of humor which is nice to add to a lecture.

Fun Class, Great Teacher

Mr. Edwards tells lots of funny stories in class, but he always manages to relate them back to sociology. This is what makes him one of the best teachers I have taken, at Tunxis or anywhere else!

Arrogant? What U talking about? Yesterday, he told us about how he grew up in public housing and got thru college on financial aid. This guy is my roll model!

This techer is the best! If you have a chance to take his class, do it! He gives good notes and as long as you study the tests are easy. Every class is fun and exciting, he is funny and tells lots of stories about his life. Great teacher!!!

Mr. Edwards is the****. Hilarious and really smart and just his voice is entertaining enough. He has soo many experiences and stories that relate to EVERYTHING we are learning..sometimes it makes u wonder wether or not hes making the stories up. Oh well..either way - hes a funny dude n pretty cool =)

Richard Edwards, Bob Brown, and Sally Terrell are the best teachers at Tunxis. Fill you semester with classes these teachers teach and your golden. I highly reccommend all of them. I know this space is intended soley for Edwards but I mine as well praise the others also.

The best class i have had in college so far. He is very knowledgeable, the class is fun, he encourages class discussion, and the way he teaches implants the knowledge into your brain. If you pay attention you will learn a great deal from his classes.

somewhat interesting class, most classes have nothing to do with topic, but are funny... lots about England and Whales.

THe subject matter was interesting and the professor has funny anecdotes. The class was pretty easy. I enjoyed the class a lot.

He's not just a sociology teacher--he is a sociologist, he is one of my favorite teachers to listen to.

I love his accent and it makes his extensive knowledge all the more interesting to hear.

Teaches through his own experiences but relating to the book, tells stories all the time, but we still get the information done. Straight forward and plain in that class, do the work, get the grade.

I listening to him speak... besides his accent, he is very charasmatic!!! However, when you actually listen to what he is talking about you either become paranoid or amused. He is definitely a unique thinker, in a good way I guess!?!?!

he's intelligent, hilarious, and fascinating. the secret to passing his class is to write down everything he says. take a ton of notes! the book isn't a big deal in his class. i only studied from notes and i got an a. his social prolems class was amazing too. i took it just to have more class time with him, and i learned a lot! huge fan here!

Mr. Edwards has been in more countries than I could even imagine visiting in my life. And he seems to have learned something from every one of them. His stories about other cultures are what make this class so interesting.

Loved having him as a professor for sociology. Definitely recommend him for soc 101.

This man is the most interesting professor I?ve ever had. Not once did I find myself bored. As long as you pay attention and take notes, you?ll do well on the tests. The two papers are difficult but he tells you exactly what you need to do inorder to fix them IF you had it in for the early deadline.

Professor Edwards is the most interesting professor I've ever had. His accent is awesome and makes listening to what he is saying enjoyable. He is a brilliant man, well-traveled, and hilarious. His courses are great, and if you put effort into the course and actually use his assignments to form your own thoughts and offer insights, he will notice.

Exploded when he caught a student texting in class, but she was annoying me too. Interesting instructor though... seems like he always wants to make us laugh. Could use the textbook more. Tests are easier than assignments, but he lets you rewrite the papers to try for a better grade.

I love Prof Edwards. He gives study guides before each test that tell exactly what's on each test. He even allows you to turn your paper in early for his advice on it. Doesn't give mid-terms or finals. Put in the effort and you'll do great. Great professor to take!

Awesome teacher, writing assignments are tough, but gives you a study guide for tests that basically have all the info needed for the test. His stories are interesting, yet some make me wanna fall asleep in class.. A class to take

Professor Edwards is a very instinctual, realistic, and insightful teacher and innovator. He is obviously passionate about Sociology and is willing to go out of his way to help his students. Even if sociology is not your "Thing", he will make sure you will become engaged within the class content.

Very informative teacher but you have to pay attention and participate as well as do the work in order to have a successful experience and a grade reflective of your efforts.

Good Teacher, but you need to pay thorough attention. You never open your textbook in class. If you don't pay attention and take extensive & detailed notes, you WILL fail. You don't really need the textbook, because a lot of the study guide terms and answers to questions could be found online.

Doesn't give out notes. Just pay attention in class and take good notes. His tests are easy and he tells you what to study, gives out study guides for every exam. His papers have early turn in dates and he grades them and gives them back with what to have for the second draft. overall very cool and funny guy, you'll like him. it's an easy A.

Lectures are fun to listen too. Even as an 8 am class I was awake and attentive to his teaching style.

Nice guy. Maybe not the most exciting teacher you'll ever have, but he knows his stuff and is always there to hel you if you need it.

Professor Edwards is a cool guy and knows his material well. However, a lot of his lectures come straight from the book with a few funny stories here and there. There's 2 essays and 4 exams. The study guides for the exams don't really help. Other than that, pretty interesting class.

Edwards is hilarious, I love his lectures. However, the tests seem to be a little out of left field, and sometimes the study guides don't really fit well with the exam. I wish you were able to see the text when you get the scantron back because it is hard to know where you go wrong.

Professor Edwards is hilarious. He has some great stories some of which you would never expect a Professor to tell. You never have any written homework or classwork. He gives 2 or 3 essays that are not that hard but he is a tough grader. His tests are the hardest part of the class, you have to study in order to pass you cant wing any of his tests.

great professor. his lectures were always interesting and easy to understand however, his test are really hard. the study guides never matched the criteria we covered in class. he gives 2-3 papers a semester and those are what helped my grade out the most. he doesn't this "early deadline" thing.. its pointless.

Professor Edwards will have u in tears of laughter! I fully enjoyed going to his class and hearing his stories of travelling. His lectures help you understand the textbook without being bored by it. Would highly recommend him!

Professor Edwards cares about his students and about the subject he teaches. He peppers his lectures with anecdotes from his life, making the material more accessible. He has a dry sense of humor and can be snarky, but he is very kind and compassionate. I learned a lot from him. I feel that I have become a better human being because of his class.

Professor Edwards is knowledgeable in the subject he teaches, and knows how to make it memorable. He uses anecdotes from his own life that will leave you chuckling and cement the material in your mind. If you take good notes in class, the tests are not a problem, and there is no homework to worry about. The larger 'assignments' aren't too difficult

sociology with mr edwards was actually a class i looked forward to going to, the lectures are usually pretty interesting and hes a funny guy. he also has a lot of stories to tell and the writing assignments and tests arent too bad as long as you study.

Hes a good professor and tells good stories that go well with the lectures. He can get off topic sometimes but most of the things he talks about helped me remember things for exams. We had no homework just exams and a paper.
