Very good teacher and has reasonable expectations. He makes it very enjoyable. I would recommend taking him.

Ehrlich makes class fun by getting everyone involed. Also, he does not nit pick about grading papers so you're papers are not too scrutinzed. He allows everyone to voice their opinions which makes the class a great learning environment.

This class sucked, I took him for summer A and dropped it 2 days later. He seemed like a really nice guy, but there was way to much work and he was very misleading about assignments, he would assign two essays in one class and then tell you to throw them away the next class. Don't take this teacher over the summer.

He tends to be quite tough in the summer, but you have to remember it's a 16 week course scrunched into 6!

This professor rocked. There is some work to be done, but not too much. Whatever questions you ask, he will answer. The information he gives you during class is the kind of stuff you want to know, plus he is funny. Take him!

My second favorite English Lit teacher. He is very passionate about Literature and analysis. Very crazy about powerpoint, but it's very useful. Clear about expectations, and gives moderate assignments. For 6 weeks, not a whole lot of work was given. GET TO CLASS ON TIME! Definitly an amazing teacher one of the best so far.

Classes are interesting, his lectures are fun. I don't think he reads the papers in depth. He seems to overlook spelling and grammer. Cares more about technique and how info is supported. He is a super liberal and will preach his political views for half the class. If you're a republican, you will probably leave class steaming.

his lectures are very interesting very current and political. He knows what he is talking about and the class is not that hard most of the class is power points, movies, and group discussions. Lots of papers though although I am not sure how much he reads them/ a slighty difficult midterm/final. Seems a little unorganized but overall good teacher.

Great professor. Very dedicated and passionate about his subject. He really cares about his students and always tries to help. Prof. Ehrlich made his requirements clear and didn't ask on a test what wasn't discussed in a class. However, the attendence is a must. A lot of questions on a test come from his presentations. I had the privledge of getting Prof. Ehrlich for ENC1101. On July 9 @ 12:59pm when registration opened at 1:00pm I took the first seat for his ENC1102. He is second to none when it comes to delivering his classes with passion and sincerity. Words don't do justice, you have to sit in his class to experience the awesome adventure that is his class!

Great professor! I took him for summer B, so it was a lot of work crammed into a little amount of time, which was overwhelming. Despite all of the work, it's a pretty easy class. He makes it interesting with jokes and videos.

Best professor ever. He's challenging, and there's a lot of reading, but he's not a harsh grader. He offers extra credit and does his best to make the class fun. Grades are based on the quality of work, not so much on the MLA format, although it is required. 11 pg research paper is pretty easy, but don't wait until the last minute to do it.

I don't why there are a few people, very few that say he's a bad teacher. He's makes the class fun, especially for a night class. He does make you read and write a lot, BUT he grades easy. Just try to do the work and make sure you stay for his reviews and you'll do fine. I recomend him to any student, especially if English not your best subject

Great teacher, he does give a lot of work wich is normal on a ENGLISH CLASS, he is not hard on grading and sometimes gives you the chance to re-do a paper with low grade. Always makes the classes enjoyable. It's a lot of work, but he's an easy grader. Put effort in your assignments, and it's pretty easy to get an A. I took him for ENC1101 and 1102. He is very specific on how he wants each assignment and is a very lenient grader. The big grades in both classes are the research papers, but he gives months to complete them. I recieved a 'A' in both classes. Best teacher for those unsure of English!

Wonderful experience. I took his class after hearing about it from a friend, and I'm so glad that I did. He tells great stories and will give you tons of hints and help for the exams. He's a super easy grader - just be on time, stay awake (which isn't hard with him), and skim the reading before the exam.

He is a bit of a hard teacher - most of the time there is HW but with good reason. He can be a harsh grader but it's so you understand what professors want. I went from getting C's on papers to getting an A on my research paper. He is an easy class to go to - with his Power point presentations I never got distracted during class. Very laid back.

You WILL learn from this professor, great teacher and keeps you entertained. He does grade a little harsh but you get the grade you deserve by how much effort you put into your assignments. 12 page research paper, go to the writing lab, read the textbook. Youll pass.

He is a dedicated professor and will provide a great deal of work but you will also learn a lot too. He is very helpful and will guide you throughout the course. Mainly attend class, do not be tardy, and participate in his lectures and you'll do fine. The readings are not difficult!

Good teacher but very opinionated and he talks down to his students. He will make you think and encourages classroom discussion but isn't too demanding. Turn everything in on time, come to class on time and participate in discussions to get an A.

Took this class over the summer for a 6 week course. He was actually pretty lenient. I work 40 hours a week and still was able to receive an A+ in the course. He is very opinionated so if you do have a mouth on you, you guys will probably be at each other's throats during class discussions. Attendance is a must. He gives extra credit. Need book.

Great teacher, I had him for 1101 he is super funny and helpful. Also pretty easy going as far as class & homework. He likes to address topics in the news & uses a bunch of powerpoints. Essays were easy, he likes to explain the topic & get you interested before he hands out homework. Just pay attention & don't be late.

This professor is hilarious!! He is super knowledgeable on this subject and is a very caring and compassionate professor. He keeps you on your toes and highly entertained during his entire lecture. The C.A. is a huge project, but he pretty much spells it out for you and gives you many opportunities for help and to ask questions. Definitely take him

He is really awesome! As long as you show up and do the assignments there is no reason you can't pass. He gives opportunities for extra credit. The midterm and final are very similar and he assigns a mini research paper. I would deffinently take him for 1102!

His class was overall really easy. I took the summer session, and I'm pretty sure my class had a lot of high school students in it because that's how he treated us. It was easier than that of a high school English class. He graded fairly easy, I got A's on every paper. He gives his political opinion far too often it's almost unnecessary. Easy A!

I like Prof. Ehrlich than Prof. Gingras in ENC1101. Prof. Ehrlich makes you do homework every week. But as long as you make an effort and have a decent grammar, you can get an A. It's a pretty easy A for me, you just have to do your work. He is a funny and creative guy. You just have to be aware about the fact that he will call on you sometimes.

The class lectures are long; however, it is worth it. The presentations that he covers in class are all in the exam. The exam is pretty easy if you study and you can get an A if you work hard for it. As long as you follow his instructions, you can get an A. It's not that hard. Don't expect to just show up and do nothing. Be prepared and attentive.

There's a research paper, but it's not hard, just takes time. He's a fir guy and he works with you for your grade, the class is not hard just do the assignments. There's 1 per week, usually a 3-5 paragraph response on something simple/interesting. He gives you the questions on the midterm and exams. An "A' is easy if you do the work and show up!

Pompous, condescending, and dictator like

Very straightforward, do the homework assignments which are like mini essays 1-2 pages. He tries to scare off the people who don't want to put in the work and earn your grade. Midterm and Final are not hard, allowed 1 page of notes for mid and 2 for final.

Great teacher. Lots of power point presentations and uses a lot of great examples to help understand the material. Great sense of humor and really cares about your grades and wants you to pass. Gives essays and is pretty lenient with late work. Grades with helpful comments. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome professor, cannot say enough nice things about him. Although he does pack on the homework pretty heavily, you will love his lecture. PLENTY of opportunities to raise your grade because he wants his students to pass!! Very open-minded discussions in class and he acknowledges everyone's opinion without bias. He always specifies what he wants, gives good lectures, stays after class to answer any questions. Some homework may be a bit hard but he helps a lot and gives many extra credit opportunities. He is understanding but you have to keep up.

Responds to emails quickly & actually posts grades to blackboard. 1 essay homework assignment per week that's usually based off of his lecture (5 paragraphs or so). Gives good feedback & will stop to explain anything. Usually available before & after class too. Lenient, just show up ON TIME, seriously it's like his only pet peeve. Wants U 2 pass!!

Prof. Ehrlich engages the class. He keeps it interesting and asks numerous questions while reviewing the material to make sure everyone is grasping the concepts. He begins from day 1 with the grading criteria for the research paper due at the end of the semester. DO NOT WAIT until the last minute and you will be fine. Gives extra credit too.

He is an amazing teacher. Gets off topic sometimes but I had him for a 6:30 - 9:15 class. Allows makeup work for some credit. He does not let you out early though and if he does it is only a few minutes. Easy "A" if you work for it. Test are super easy as well.

Textbook required but I only looked at it once. His tests are easy because he lays out material solidly while still being entertaining. There is a large research paper but he starts you off on it immediately and you have the whole semester to do it. However, he is not for everyone; you shouldn't be offended easily. Great professor.

Teacher focuses on explaining every topic through current news points of view. He banes all subjects that are commonly controversial or too easy to create an opinion on. He will expect punctuality, respect, participation. He also does a few Fake Pop quizzes. Is will be a way of waking the zombie's students up.

Had him in high school, so I took him again. This class was basically a repeat of my 9th-grade English class with a little more work. He's very funny. A great teacher who cares about his students and wants you to succeed! I would recommend him to anyone :)

Professor Ehrlich is one of the best teaches I've had! As someone who is prone to zoning out during lectures, he was able to not only keep my attention, but kept me excited throughout the course. He assigns great essays you will actually WANT to write! He uses Google Classroom and Remind so you can ask him questions about homework as needed.

You must follow along in the book because not all topics will be covered in class. If you don't read the book, you will not score too well on the midterm of final.

Best teacher you can have, hes down to earth and will teach while having fun. He really grasps you attention and makes sure everyone is on the same pg. understands that you have a life and will work with you if you are not usually a slacker and actually do your work. This professor is one of the best! His PowerPoints were very funny and entertaining, a lot of time were put into them. There is a policy thesis research paper that is required for all ENC classes but he tells you about it on the first day and gives you the entire semester to work on it. Take this professor if you are open-minded about political issues! His class is so entertaining and his Powerpoints are one of the best I've ever seen a teacher do. Please do not fool around because this class is a lot of work especially during the summer. For ENC1102, a 12-15 page essay is required. So PLEASE start early! Overall, amazing teacher!

If you dont want learn. Dont take his class. I still hear his voice when I hear words like fallacy or civil discourse. I also still sing my multiplication tables from 1st grade. Somethings stick, and Ehrlichs rhetoric is one of them.

Do not drop his class on the first day! Though he may seem tough on the first day, its just a tactic to get the ones that really want to learn. Prof Ehrlich is very much into participation and keeps you awake all class with humor and slides. He is more than fair . Homework isnt crazy and seems to really care about you doing your best .

This professor has so far been my favorite professor at Palm Beach State. His lectures are fun and easy to follow along with. He talks about the hard subjects in a way that is not too heavy to handle. I loved coming to this class and learning a bunch of fun facts in every class. The workload is not hard to handle.

Professor Ehrlich is a great teacher. At the beginning his class seems tough. But with time, and when getting to know him, how his lessons are conducted, everything become easy. he is knowledgeable and always available to help. Plus he answers quickly every concerns, we addressed on remind app (which is a google educational app, users friendly).

Honestly, not a fan at the beginning because you have an essay and one (5-10 question) quiz every week. The answers to the quizzes are on the slides that he makes and teaches from, it is open note and open book so you're good. That is also the case with the final, no need to take it with an A in the class tho. I will take him for ENC1102.

Prof. Ehlrich has been by far the most passionate professor Ive had in PBSC. Great class! Hes an amazing speaker and very clever person. Initially, it may seem a tough class but its by far enjoyable and entertaining. Do yourselves a favor- take this class.

Professor Ehrlich may seem tough but he is one of the best and most reasonable English teachers I've had. He gives plenty of time for assignments and gives specific feedback so the students can better themselves.

My favorite professor at PBSC. You can't earn an A unless you actually work for it though. Also, you need to be on video in Zoom and he will call on you randomly so pay attention. Gives a quiz after every class almost, they aren't recorded and you can find the answers in the lesson. I did the express class, it was very manageable. Engaging lectures

I enjoyed being in the class. The work load is light and the class is easy as well as the work. The teacher is pretty good too but watch out for his slick comments sometimes. He is still a good teacher.

This professor has very clear expectations. Open note tests, quizzes and even the final exam. Only one research paper and all the other work load is simple and easily understandable. Would highly recommend this teacher for English! He is very smart and great at teaching.

Great professor but attendance is very important and pretty much mandatory in his class. Make sure to do well on the quizzes and start working on the final paper in advance. If you have an A before the final, you are exempt and will finish with an A.

Great professor. Extremely attention grabbing, not hard at all to focus in Ehrlich's class. Only assessments along the way are quizzes you have a week to take, can take in class and work with classmate if preferred. Be sure to start research paper from early on in the course and you'll be sure to pass. Don't need to take exam if you have an A.

He is very clear in what he wants you to get out of the class and obviously loves what he does. If you read the chapters he asks of you and participate, you can pass without any problems. He is very knowledgeable in just about everything.

He's very clearly passionate about his work. Instead of a huge mid-term he assigns mini quizes weekly. If you have an A in the class you won't have to take final exam. He does google slides in his presentation which helps if your more so a visual learner. I would definitely take one of his classes again.

You must have tough skin to make it in his course. He is extremely opinionated and can be offensive if you don't have his same perspective. Don't take it personal, he means well. Turn assignments in the date their due. High percentage is deducted from late assignments. Extra credit is offered and lowest grade dropped. Easy "A" in my opinion.

Great Professor who cares about his students, really just wants everyone to learn and pass his class, he is very understanding and always puts the mental health of students first. I enjoyed the quizzes he gave after each class because he would let us work in a group after the lecture zoom meetings. Be ready to write essays!!

Professor Enhrlich has been amazing. He is easy to understand, nice, forgiving and flexible with grades. He is willing to work with students as long as they put in the effort & ask for help. Professor Ehrlich is one of my favorite professors! He allows the class to work together on the weekly quizzes, and there is NO midterm. There is a research paper, but he provides an outline for you. You must do the work to get a higher grade. You only have to take the final if you have less than an A. Try to attend all classes; it is essential!

Definitely take his class! You can tell he truly cares about his students and wants them to pass. He takes time to make sure everyone understands a lesson before he moves on to the next. There is no midterm, but instead, quizzes that you can work with other people on. There are a few essays, but they aren't difficult to understand. Would recommend.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST PROF! He makes sure you understand what you learn. He makes slides of each chapter and goes through it in lectures while we were live online. He also lets you take the test with peers after class had finish so you will get that EASY A!! He makes funny dad jokes so thats an A+. He will gladly help you with any questions you have.

He cares about his students. He will give extra time if needed and is very understandable. As long as you pay attention and do the hw you will pass easily.

Great prof!! Attendance and participation is mandatory but he is very good at presenting lectures. Great feedback on papers. There are weekly work but it can be done. He is very understanding. Take him!!!

This class is an easy A as long as all assignments are completed and turned in on time. Late work is accepted. He dedicates his time making google slides that are very interesting and eye catching. Ehrlich was an exceptional teacher and one of my favorite instructors. Professor Ehrlich's engaging teaching style incorporates accessible slides. Attendance is mandatory; he does not accept late work, so staying on top of assignments, participating, and putting in effort are crucial. Do this, and you'll pass.

Ehrlich is definitely one of a kind. Took a live online class, be prepared to get on camera and participate. Ehrlich will approach any topic. Was a little intense at first, but getting to know him, he is an awesome person, and cares about educating the next generation. Will give quizzes every week, and a couple of papers thru the semester.

Professor is one of the best teachers I have had. He is caring although there are multiple essays he gives enough time to complete them. He cares about grammar and talks about sensitive topics There was only one major assignment it was a research paper It was only 5 pages, but overall he is easily accessible and will accommodate his students needs.

He is very caring about what he does and you can see it through his lectures. It's a very easy A, if you have an A in the class you don't have to take the final. This is my second class with him. Hes great!

He's honest

Professor Ehrlich can come off intense at first, but once you get to know him he's awesome. He will bring up sensitive topics, but that was one of the things I loved about him. He will accommodate you if you have any serious learning needs. I took him for both ENC1101/ENC1102 and both were not hard at all. There will be one research paper for each.

Love him, he's a pretty relatable professor and always tuned into the latest stuff which helps alot and makes the class feel real and genuine

If you don't like to talk in class, stay away! He really cares about his students. Brings up what is going on in the present day to compare. Has a loud voice but not yelling at you. DO NOT COME IN LATE!!!! DO NOT LET YOUR PHONE GO OFF!!!! He hates that. If you come in late, get ready to get a lecture about how missing class helps you fail.

He's very respectful and open-minded. He explains the course in a way that makes the work much easier , and he communicates clearly and effectively. His teaching style creates a comfortable learning environment .I highly recommend it.

He a chill professor with quirky, engaging PowerPoints. If you participate and pay attention, you'll do well in the class. He's very opinionated and will discuss politics and current events, but he won't argue with you about your opinions. If you're not ready for a professor who shares a variety of perspectives, this might not be the class for you.
