The lectures were confusing at times and it requires good note-taking but overall it was an interesting course! There is a deviancy project towards the middle to end of the semester and it was a really fun, enjoyable project! Great teacher!

Fey will be one of your favorite teachers. Class consists of him lecturing the entire time but he realizes that it's boring and truly tries to make it more interesting for students. I absolutely loved this class. Prof Fey added a personal touch to every lecture that not only made it more interesting but also clarified the lecture. He is very passionate about what he does and very clear about you need to do in order to succeed.

Fey's lectures were always really interesting, but the amount of times he canceled class(sometimes a half hour before class started) was incredibly frustrating. I hardly ever read the book. You can find all the answers to homework/exams online. Attending class is necessary because he has clicker points that you DO NOT want to miss!

If you are taking anything higher than his 100 level classes you REALLY need to go to all of the lectures, he takes attendance through group projects, if you are there every day he will do what he can to make sure you at least pass the class if you do not show up he could care less. He's really funny and I would totally take him again.

He's a good professor. Three tests which are not hard. Lectures were interesting. The only bad things is he likes to convey negative feeling and cannot stop it.

I loved this class. It took it for credit but would honestly retake classes with Fey in a heartbeat. It's an UD class so you do have to work for your grade but if you show up for lecture, do the group assignments, do decently on the tests, and start your paper soon enough you'll do great. He was hilarious, I loved showing up for lecture.

Fey was a great teacher. His class is hard, at all. His test are online using Lockdown Browser and you can use your notes and whatnot. You have a 10 question homework, that can get tricky if you don't read the book. Other than that, definitely take him! Easy A!

Courtship and Marriage. E-Text access code you must purchase before you can even start in Blackboard. Its like $20. A majority of the class comes from that text book so it is a must. Vocabulary lists and power points help but you won't pass the class on just those. Mostly DBs and Weekly quizzes. Manageable workload. Seems to be a nice guy.

Love this professor. Took him for SOC101 too! Easy online quizzes each week based on a chapter in the book. Sometimes surprise group assignments for in-class participation points. He cancels class a lot too. Honestly you'll learn a lot from him and laugh too!

As a person, he can be a little abrasive at times, but he does his best to make class relatively interesting for a large lecture hall. Be warned, he has a habit of going off on tangents in lecture, and exam content doesn't really resemble the way he initially presents the material to you. Buying a clicker is necessary, and not exactly cheap...

Prof Fey is a good guy. Cancels class sometimes, but we all have those days. Lecture heavy but he makes them interesting. Clicker is a bummer as I don't expect to use it in following semesters, but you gotta get those points, he asks almost every day. Overall easy A. One online homework per week. 3 total exams on Blackboard that you must take alone. He does do clicker questions that account for your participation, so it is best to be there for every class. On the bright side, no textbook required and you don't have to show up on exam days! He curses a lot but super funny.

Professor Fey was definitely the best teacher I had this semester. He's funny, understanding, and mega-fair when it comes to grades. Who could ask for more? He genuinely made the topics interesting and the class wasn't labor-intensive at all. Seriously, just take this class.

Fey is great! You need to go to class for clicker points. He says stuff in class that is on the test. Tests are hard, but they are open note. HW is ten problems that are true/false and you have a week to do them. Do the study guides for each test! Lectures are interesting but sometimes drag on. He shows a lot of videos. Great 101 class!

Read the book! My first mistake was not taking the time to read the textbook regularly. Start the study guides early on and fill them in during lectures! Fey is hilarious and is very interesting during lecture, going to class is important for Clicker Points and getting information from the lecture. Also, do the homework!

I loved going to his lectures. He has one homework a week which takes 10 mins. It should be an easy A, but I did not read the book or study and ended up with a B+. He does not give A-, so if you get a 90 it will count as a solid A. Attendance is not mandatory but he has clicker questions, so going will help your grade.

I really enjoyed this class. He makes the lectures interesting and does clicker points almost every lecture so attendance is important in order to pass. The tests were difficult if you have not done the reading.

The class was fun and easy. Show up to class and do the study guides for the exams and you should be fine. Homework every week (12 questions T/F). There's a code you need to buy which is expensive. Class was cancelled to many times and on a short notice, which sometimes could be really annoying.

This dude is dope! He puts on some pretty dope videos in class and gives students great insight on the world of sociology. Great professor and funny as hell.

I loved Dr. Fey, but this class was impossible. I took the first exam and did fairly well so I didn't buy the textbook, and then I failed the second exam based solely off of textbook questions. If you take this class it's a lot of reading, but the lectures are super interesting and Dr. Fey tries to spice up the material as much as possible

My favorite professor I have had at ASU so far! Homeworks are very easy and there are 3 open note exams! Just make sure you go to class because there are random clicker points but honestly it wasn't a chore to go to this class at all! He also gives out a couple extra credit opportunities. As long as you put time in you will get an A in this class.

His lectures are enjoyable, and he really rewards his students for coming to class by giving out tips on what WILL be on exams, clicker points, etc. His exams are difficult, but as long as you fill out the study guides and go to class, you're guaranteed a B on the exams. His homework assignments are weekly but typically a breeze.

You can learn a lot of of things from his lectures that you can apply in real life in terms of courtship, and marriage. He does have slides, but they don't help very much when it comes to exams. The exam questions boil down to your critical thinking, they're tough. There 6 pop EASY group discussion distributed randomly through the semester. ATTEND!

One of my favorite classes I've ever taken. Do the reading because it does appear on the test. Lets you use notes on tests, and is entertaining during lecture. Really opens your mind!

Fey was a mixed bag for me. The man is a funny, engaging, and interesting lecturer. However, a lot of the time he either cancels class or just shows a video on whatever topic rather than give a lecture. This makes the test occasionally difficult if he decides not to give lectures on certain subjects. Uses clickers. Tests were fairly easy.

The HW quizzes were easy, and tests were okay as long as you paid attention and reviewed the study guides. 1 pet peeve: he showed some bland videos in class instead of lecturing, which I would've preferred.

I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Fey's class. There were only 3 tests all semester, and they were all multiple choice. There is a weekly homework assignment, but all the answers are in the online textbook. Fey is an energetic and interesting guy. He lost some of my respect from the constant canceling of class but gained it back through his passion on sociology topics. I usually looked forward to going to his class. The tests are open note, but don't let that fool you because they are hard (so take super good notes).

Fey is my favorite professor at ASU, I've taken 2 of his classes. He has a great perspective & is always so open. He teaches content based on the information he thinks would benefit us most as members of society. All exams are open note so go to class and take good notes, but if you take the class seriously you will fine. Take one of his classes!!

Deviance class was amazing! Material is extremely interesting but get ready to work! Form a study group to help with all the readings & notes to pass exams. 3 exams, all open note. 6 random short group projects (show up to class). Final includes doing a deviant act and writing 12+ page paper. Overall, really fun but you must put effort in!

Soc 101 was a fairly easy class if you turn in all the assignments that are necessary and show up for those clicker points. There are weekly homework assignments which go with the online book. DO NOT SKIP THESE, they add up. There are only 3 tests but they are worth LOTS of points, he allows you to use your notes too so be sure to take good notes.

Hilarious professor who makes lectures very engaging. I was already interested in psychology/sociology, but having a good teacher makes it even better. Sometimes class can get slow whenever he plays videos during lectures, since he is such a great speaker. Otherwise, really fun class for me.

He's really cool and engaging. The tests are different for everyone. I know people who don't study at all and still get A's while there are people who study hard and get C's, sometimes lower. It just depends on how you are. Clicker points save you, and they're usually every class ,so make sure you go. Take advantage of those.

Dr. Fey is really respectful to all backgrounds and peoples: liberal or conservative, religious or no-religious, everyone. He keeps lectures very interesting and engaging and shares many stories to help students understand the concepts he talks about. I'm no sociologist, and after having received a failing grade from a different professor I could not recommend Dr. Fey enough. He is incredibly interesting and has engaging lectures that draw me in.

He is the most chill and coolest prof I had for this semester. Exams are fair, and it is not hard. Make sure you go to class regularly because you do not want to miss the six random group assignments throughout the semester. Those points mean a lot. 2-3 Extra credit is provided, that is why you do not miss the class.

The weekly homework was 10 T/F questions. Only 3 exams (not cumulative). He is strict on deadlines because he has over 1,000 students so he doesn't do exceptions. He doesn't give homework 2 weeks prior to a test and is very generous by giving study guides. Attendance is not mandatory but he does use the clickers as participation.

The class was massive but he did a good job of keeping it engaged and answering questions. He gives some questions from the test in class so definitely go. There are clicker questions so you have to attend class. The homework is easy and tests are multiple choice but definitely be prepared going into it because its a vast majority of the grade.

Fey's lectures are amazingly entertaining and funny. (except for the ones where he shows videos the entire class) His personality and stories make the subject matter interesting and he tries very hard to not let his personal biases and political beliefs affect the way he presents material. Richard is an amazing professor. He knows how to make you laugh your pants off. His material is always organized and easy to comprehend. Even though this class may seem easy to pass, his test were quite difficult for me. So, I recommend studying for them. He also takes attendance via clickers. Dr. Fey is a really good professor comparatively. The best part about his class is the no minus grades, an A- is really an A in his class. His lectures are interesting even if you really don't have much interest in the subject. The tests were all open note, and he gives special answers in class, so go and you'll be okay on them.

His lectures were funny but still usually a tad boring (I had a morning session so that may have effected enjoyability). As long as you show up for clicker points and make study guides for the online finals (which take a long time! Mine were around 25 pages per exam) you should be good for an A. No minus grades, which is nice as I hardly got an A.

In Dr. Fey's class, there is a total of 360 points and 3 tests, none of which are cumulative which account for half of the points or 60 points per test. In class, a clicker is used to take attendance and the attendance ends up accounting for 1/6 of your grade. Take good notes for the test and you'll do fine.

He has a total of three test including the final which is not cumulative. He takes clicker point as attendance and is part of your grade. All the homework are in the book, his lectures are interesting and to pass the test do the study guide which are in the book and his lectures. Would recommend if you plan on putting effort in.

Dr. Fey made sure to present the material clearly and made the lectures interesting. You do have to read and the homework is based on that. Exams are based on readings and lectures. To make attendance mandatory, he has surprise clicker questions that will impact your grade if you do not do them. My minor is now Sociology because of this class.

Professor Fey was pretty decent. Show up for the class, those participation points matter and so does the homework. DO IT. I missed 3 homeworks and I got a B because of it. They're super easy though (all in the book). Lectures are pretty engaging and he tries his best to make them interesting. The study guides are helpful for tests, so do them too.

Taking Professor Feys class was honestly one of the easiest and most interesting classes that I have taken. Your grade is made up of 3 tests and one homework due every Friday. Go to class because some things in lecture will be on the tests and you cant find the answers from the book.

Fey is great for SOC101. Weekly quizzes and daily participation checks in class. He did cancel class a few times and he offered us extra credit to make up for it. Make sure you do the weekly quizzes without fail and put effort into the tests and you should get an A/B. Don't underestimate the tests - they need a few hours of studying for success.

Attend class for clicker points which help grade! Also, tests are very difficult. The homework isn't hard just keep a slow pace and look back on e-textbook for the answers because they're all in there. Get good grades on homework and clicker points and you'll pass.

There was an online assignment every week (except the week before a test) based on readings. Final is just like any other test and doesn't include previously tested material. He gives study guides and open note tests (still use a lockdown browser and camera that he does watch). Attendance was taken by "clicker points" and was randomly taken.

This professor was great. His lectures were very interesting. His exams required effort and lot of reading. However, he tries to engage the class with his jokes and really likes teaching. He cancels class a lot but makes up for it by posting virtual lectures on that day avoiding delay in coping up with the syllabus. Take him!!!!

THIS MAN KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING. Tests are open note, so pay attention in class not just read the lectures. Makes lectures relatable and enticing while also conveying information. Takes attendance using clickers on material covered in lecture. Best teacher and best class I've taken at ASU.

Would recommend! His lectures are pretty intense but interestin. The class consists of tests and homework but he lets you use notes on the tests. You can tell that he actually cares about the subject that he is teaching and tries his best to give as many examples as possible to make sure everyone understands whats being talked about during lecture.

Dr. Fey's lectures are amazing and I think he is a great teacher, but beware his tests! He crams way too much information into the 3 exams and I had trouble doing well on them. Had to study for hours to get a B or C on them. However, the class is stimulating and well organized. Would recommend, but get ready for lots of homework and reading.

Professor Fey is an amazing teacher who genuinely cares about his students. I would definitely take another one of his classes, but I was surprised with how hard his tests were as a 101 class. Listen to the other reviews that his tests will challenge you! Highly respectable teacher who is hilarious.

His lectures can be a bit long, but the material he covers is important. He grades with tests, homework, and clicker points done after every class. The class is not hard and if you stay on top of your stuff its very easy to pass. He also lets you use pre printed notes for exams which really helps!

Overall Prof Fey is a pretty solid teacher. His lectures are very long but can be interesting and pay attention because he knows his stuff. HW once a week which is very easy. Tests are tough but are open note. Should be an easy B+/A if you do the work

Discussion questions and occasional exams. Work load is manageable. The book is required to access the homework. He posts 1 or 2 one hour long lectures for us to watch every week. Can feel long, however they are typically entertaining and help you understand the course material in depth.

Class is pretty straightforward. Homework due Friday that you can pull off of quizlet. DONT SKIP CLASS, THE CLICKERS COUNT FOR 17% OF YOUR GRADE. Those points help so much. Tests are pretty chill, I never studied or watched lectures but if you print the slides out to use during tests you'll get at least a B on each one (how I got my A)

Took online due to COVID19. Each week he'd post the lecture, homework and a discussion board (you could literally do the class when ever). Had to read 20 ish pages a week for homework but you could still do well if barely read. Super interesting class and Mr. Fey seems like a super cool dude.

Fey is a great professor and makes the content very interesting, the book is definitely necessary. Exam questions are mostly all from the reading and a few from lecture now and then.

Professor Fey is a really nice guy and is super was super easy to contact. This class is completely online, so you have to pace yourself well. There are weekly lecture videos that are long, but you must watch them, and homework assignments that make you read the textbook. Three exams that are pretty difficult, just pay attention and read the book.

No extra credit, grades on an A or A+ scale. He does not give out (-) grades so you can either just get the letter grade or a plus. YOU NEED THE BOOK 90 dollars

Professor Fey is amazing. To be fairly honest, I did not get the grade I wanted in the class but that was my fault. Just stay on top of the readings and make time to watch the videos because they are long. Exams are taken from both the textbook and videos so pay attention! He will make you see the world differently. Highly recommend.

Had this class during COVID, so it was definitely different. His lectures were funny but could be pretty long. Weekly readings from the textbook, homework, study guides (not due though), and lectures (his own or Youtube vids). Three tests that were on LockDown Browser. Each week would get repetitive but if you just do the work you'll pass.

Great professor! 3 proctored exams, homework (T/F), and discussion posts make up your grade. Textbook is required and lectures are on the longer side but they are entertaining. He brings up examples of different topics which makes it easier to understand. Exams include both textbook material and the videos he posts so make sure you read/watch.

I took his class during the pandemic so I don't know how he is in person, but he was not my favorite. His work was overwhelming at times. The chapters are very long and sometimes he has you read two as well as doing discussion posts and homework assignments every week. There are three big exams that are timed and they are difficult.

Dr. Fey was amazing! His casual lecture style made the material a lot easier. He was very accomodating and caring throughout the semester. The class is pretty difficult, but as long as you watch the lectures, do the assignments, and skim the readings you should be fine. Very engaging and fun to listen to, I highly recommend him!

No zoom meetings, all just pre-recorded lectures to watch. The assignments are 5 discussion posts a week, and online textbook homework all due Fridays. Both very easy just the discussion posts don't really have any learning benefits, just tedious. Super relaxed prof and I enjoyed his lecture style, easy to understand & to the point.

Took him Fall 2020, so during COVID. All lectures were on Youtube, so no zoom. Homework assignments were through Cengage, so they corresponded w a textbook and were fairly easy. Had to do 5 discussion posts or responses a week. Consistent homework assignments that were easy to manage and the exams were open note.

Dr. Fey is a chill guy, he cancels class a lot. All homework is on Quizlet/you can also ctrl + F the textbook while taking it. I didn't study a lot but I just printed the slides out for his exams to use as notes and got a 51/60 or higher each test. Only + no - grading. Clickers aren't graded on accuracy, but they are 17% of your grade, go to class!

One of my favorite profs with interesting lectures. But I don't understand why other students rated this class as easy... it's really not. If you take it, get ready to work hard, and the tests aren't easy. I wouldn't recommend it if you're already taking a heavy course load. If not, take it because it will inspire and challenge you in a good way

One of the best and hardest classes I have taken in the liberal arts side of things. Definitely need to keep up with a lot of reading as well as work on a mandatory term paper. Exam are heavily based on lectures and readings. Get ready to work and learn a lot.

He is good and funny, but learning is on you. If you dont put in any effort you wont do well. He tells you C doesnt get careers. He is a realist and does not help you if youre undeserving. If youre trying to get an easy A with no effort , this class is not for you.

His class was hard if you are trying to pass, test questions are very specific but you are allowed to have any printed out notes that you want. I suggest printing the PowerPoint slides and the study guides.

Get ready for a lot of discussion posts and quizzes. Professor Fey is great. His Powerpoint presentations are the best I've seen and keep your interest. He explains important concepts with examples in his lectures. Quizzes are not hard unless you didn't pay attention. One of the most interesting classes I've taken.

One of my first experiences with online school was Dr. Fey's SOC 101 class. I am not into my sophomore year and he STILL remains my favorite professor I've had. The way he presents material in his lectures makes the information incredibly easy to digest and remember. I actually enjoyed watching Dr. Fey's lectures, imagine that!

This professor recorded himself for online lectures and even had study groups with the students. The only thing is that he uses lockdown for tests. If you pay attention and take some notes, you pass the class.

He's a lot of fun to listen to! Do the work and watch the lectures, and you'll be fine. He clearly cares about what he talks about and is passionate about it, making it easy to engage. Open-note quizzes but you got to know the material to do well.

He takes attendance every class and if you are late you don't get attendance points for that day. The tests are on respondus lockdown browser too but they're open note. Other than that this professor was awesome. He genuinely seemed like a funny and interesting guy and made the lecture material interesting too. I would definitely take him again

I have never been more inspired by a Professor before. This is my third time trying to complete my degree and Dr. Fey really pushed me to want to finally finish, he's very inspiring. I am so glad I took him for my first semester at ASU. I even decided to take a higher level class from him next semester!

Dr. Fey is intense, but he is an excellent teacher. My course had 3-3.5 hours of lecture a week and if you did not watch them, you're screwed. It can be overwhelming to watch them because you're just sitting in front of your computer. Tests are open book and open note, there's a LOT of reading but if you're fast you can get around it.

Participation and time management are the keys to success in this class! Grading is straightforward and assignments are designed to help you keep on schedule for an "A" in the class. Be sure to email Dr. Fey if you have questions about anything you've missed. You'll find you enjoy the interactions.

Tests can be very hard, notes are allowed, but it can be hard to tell what details he's going to test on. His lectures are good, but he tangents often, meaning each week, you can have 3 hrs of lectures to watch, which is quite a bit more than most of his colleagues go for. There's also a lot of discussion board posts each week.

Used clickers for attendance. Very friendly and most classes were lectures, but Fey made lectures feel like you were just listening to a fun story or talking to a friend. Important to take notes during lectures. I recommend using a laptop if you type faster than you write. Open note exams.

Dr. Fey is awesome! His lectures actually make me look forward to watching, and they make the concepts memorable and engaging. Participation is key in this class, but it's one I certainly recommend!

Every week, you will have a lecture to watch, chapter reading, homework, and 3 discussion posts. After every couple of chapters, there is 60 question exam. The exams are very difficult, so if you do not watch the lectures or read the textbook, you will fail. I do recommend this professor, but just be prepared to work.

Thank you Dr. Fey! This class was a blast. The readings can be a bit long, but they're not dense. The quizzes are open book, so that balances out the amount of material you have to read each week. Other than that, the discussion posts are manageable and enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

This class was very interesting and fun to learn. However you are expected to do 5 Discussion boards and read 2 chapters a week plus 1+ hour lectures per chapter. When he says you will need to least spend 3 hours a day on this course, he wasn't kidding. The chapters in the books are very long. So be prepared to read. Difficult but fun course!

Lots of reading and lots of lectures. I skipped all of the reading and still managed to get a B by just taking notes from the slides and watching the lectures. Fey does use lockdown browser so if you're against that then don't take this class. Otherwise, Fey is a great professor with a lot of great insight.

This class consists of seven 30-question tests, along with a weekly discussion post. Tests are not easy, and questions are often small details from the reading. Tests are open note, so detailed notes are a must. The textbook is bought through Cengage and costs about $100. Pre-recorded lectures by Fey are very interesting and are tested on in exams.

He could no longer teach our class a few weeks into the semester, for a medical reason, after requiring us to buy $80 online textbooks. He said he would work with the company to get us reimbursed, but we never got the money back. He had clear and strict guidelines but seemed like a nice guy. The honors contract was a lot of work - frequent meetings

I truly loved professor Fey's lectures. I do believe a lot of these reviews come from lazy students. You WILL need to watch the lectures and take notes on the chapters.(you can rent the book on amazon). I averaged a 28 on everything but 1 exam which took my grade down to a B+. He also doesnt use (-). The only downside is no room for mistakes...

Dr. Fey is an extremely reasonable and fair professor. The required readings throughout the class are a little bit excessive in length and the weekly test can be pretty difficult. As long as you take good notes and attempt to understand the information, you will do great!

Professor Fey had awesome prerecorded lectures. He is super relatable and funny. He uses real-world examples to illustrate the concepts, which were super helpful. Would absolutely take him again for any SOC/PSY class. My only grief was the use of Respondus Lockdown as a proctor. I'd rather use Honorlock.

Professor Fey assigns *a lot* of readings every week. There is no way to cheat this or skim through the material. You have to read the chapters and watch the lectures to receive good marks on the quizzes. The content is easy to follow! I recommend printing out the powerpoints and taking lots of notes! An easy class if you put the effort in.

(online classes) I love Fey! Do not misunderstand- while he does everything short of giving you the answers to his weekly quiz (which he sometimes does do) it is NOT an easy class. You will actually have to LEARN. I have taken this professor twice, and my biggest mistake was not opening the assigned text immediately. Learning is fun in his classes.

Decently Simple and easy class. Recommendations is to take it as a half semester course Online to get it done and out of the way to focus on more challenging courses. Weekly discussion and tests only. Just read the chapters and take down notes, watch the video lessons, read the DIY articles and print all the vocab and notes for the tests.

Prof. Fey was awesome. He had a clear outline to his class and it was easy to know how to succeed. He made a lot of jokes in his lectures and seemed very respectful and caring. He gave a study guide for each weekly quiz and if you do those you are golden. I'm not a great student so I didn't read through every chapter but did the study guide = A :)

For online classes, he did weekly 30 question quizzes based on 2-3 chapters, and 4 for the last quiz. Your grade depends SOLELY on discussion posts and the quizzes. The quizzes are open-notes and based on definitions and examples from the textbooks, lectures/videos & slides. Take thorough notes and the time to watch his lectures!

He's very passionate about sociology (so he tends to ramble during lectures but it's course related and relevant to real life, not random). Lots of reading and discussion posts are mandatory. I am going to keep taking his classes because I'm learning a lot!

Professor Fey does tend to ramble in lectures, which he acknowledges. It's because of his passion for sociology. I'm majoring in Sociology so I appreciate the course load. 1) I learned A Lot. And 2) it reinforced that I chose the right major.

Fey is a professor that will make you work for your grade- but I loved learning from him. He is a great speaker, and really inspired me to dive deeper into sociology. You will NOT get an easy A! Do the readings, and do the work EARLY (speaking from experience). Fey is a professor I wish I could TA or intern for. 100% recommend you take!

Dr. Fey is a good professor! This class wasn't easy though, as there was a lot of material to read and all of the quizzes were on Lockdown Browser (which I really didn't like). I wouldn't retake his class because his lecture videos tend to be very long (I'm talking at least an hour and 30 minutes long).

Professor Fey is amazing. He really cares about his students learning and is very engaging. The class is very lecture and reading heavy, if you don't put in the time you will not get a good grade. Just as long as you put in the time you will learn a lot in this class and excel.

I loved this class (Sociology of Dating, Relationships & Marriage). Such an interesting topic and Dr. Fey was very passionate. Lecture videos are looooong so I skimmed sometimes and mainly looked through the powerpoints. Tests were moderately difficult. Learned a lot and felt like the class discussions were really meaningful.

I love this professor. He is really fun, and his lectures are cool but damn, do not take this class for a credit. You better actually be interested in the topic. Whoever is in here saying his class was easy must be taking lower-level classes. I have taken seven of his classes.

Professor Fey is very passionate about Sociology. With his lectures and the required reading, I learned a lot. Sociology is my major so I continue to take his classes. He is funny too with great stories to reiterate the material.

7 classes in! Study time for the number of credits was horrendous. Take this prof early on in our college years when you still have energy and passion. He is awesome but I have to speed up his lectures as he yaps and gets side-tracked. Use all reading materials to pass. He is kind and understanding but don't take advantage of that!!! He sees all!

This class was so easy. Lots of reading tho, his tests are lecture and textbook heavy. If you focus on definitions and understanding the concepts, it's an easy A.

The course load felt like a lot compared to my other online classes, but overall it was easy. Prof is very helpful and willing to talk to you if you need, very informative and easy to follow lectures, funny jokes here and there. Just watch and read what he tells you to and you'll pass no problem.

I was honestly not interested in the subject material, but it was obvious that Dr. Fey knows a lot about Sociology and Psychology, and that he enjoys teaching.

You can really tell that this teacher loves his classes. Definitely watch his lecture videos they really help. He doesn't do exams instead he has weekly quizzes based on the modules. There is a weekly discussion where we have to post 5 times for credit. Definitely less work than an in person class, but still very good!

Excellent professor. Super fair and very straightforward with easy to understand instructions and communication. Tests were open notes. 5 discussion posts a week was the only hw outside of weekly lockdown browser tests and reading. His lectures were entertaining, thought provoking, and enjoyable all around. Only downside is the reading is a LOT.

Overall an interesting professor that has a lot to offer curriculum-wise. The tests were a bit tricky and use respondus which is a minus. There's weekly discussion posts that are very engaging. I would take him but make sure you're prepared to put in the work because it is NOT an easy A. But he's a very nice guy!
