He is one of the best professors at Pierce College. You will have to work, but you will enjoy going to class and you will learn a lot. He grades fairly. He tells stories related to his lecture which make the class interesting.

Professor Follett is awesome. I try to take one of his classes every semester. As long as you pay attention in class, you will do well. He's very fair and you will come out of his class with better English Skills.

Best teacher thus far at Pierce. His personality is pleasantly infectious. So nice and helpful. My only complaint is that his grading scale is overly fair. Work hard for him, and write essays that are from your heart. Note: Be adept at forming cohesive, analytical statements. Best teach ever.

Does not by any means teach easy classes (esp. if you take 252), but he is always willing to help. He is enthusiastic about teaching, and it shows. Easily the best teacher I have EVER had whether at pierce or not. Lots of reading required, but he goes over alot of material in detail, so you understand what he wants you to know. I LUV THIS GUY!!!!

I really love this teacher. The first day or so, he might seem a little tough but that's just to scare off some people that might not want to take his class. He's seriously there for you, he's organized, he CARES, i never fell asleep in his class even if i didnt sleep at all the night b4, it was interesting, he's funny. One of Pierce's best!

I had him for Bible as Lit class, and I loved how he was always able to relate such an old text to current events and introduce new interpretations. very fun and open minded. i managed to stay awake through every one of his evening sessions. you just need to tap your analytical mind; this class does involve critical thinking after all

Professor Follett is brilliant, organized, and passionate in his teaching. If you are lazy, do not take this class. Follett makes you work but you understand what you are doing and actually learn something. You can tell he loves every minute of his teaching, and he loves being there. I am going to try to take Follett for English 102 in Spring 2006.

Very nice, helpful,caring,kind,smart,.... teacher.Trust me you won't feel bored during his class.Very entertaining;better than watching a movie.You have to read a lot though(but don't, just read some stories and know them good,you'll be fine).Ok my advice; just take him.

Professor Follet is a GREAT professor. His lectures are very interesting but very fast paced so be sure to pay attention. Be sure to take good notes and know the material. His tests make you think and I advise you not to miss any of his classes. GREAT guy and really cares about his students' well being.

I love him! He never bores me. He keeps the class interesting with his outrageous comments. He expects you to know your grammar rules so KNOW THEM! He is very nice and he'll try to scare you the first couple of days because he does not want anybody to BS in his class..

What a wonderful instructor. He loves to teach and knows his subject inside and out. I was expecting Bible Lit to be boring, but it turned out to be the most fun because Follett makes it fun. He has lots of energy, he's fair, he's smart, and he's kind. He even passed out candy and water during the final. How great is that?!

Follett is a great teacher. He's very lenient when it comes to in class essays &he gives you plenty of time to do papers, esp. with his editing days. He provides plenty of help &guidance with the texts. He relates topics with funny stories and talks in a lively, fast pace to keep you awake & not bored. A very kind man; you'll love him.

He is a really good professor..he makes jokes at times and he gives a lot of examples which makes the class exciting and fun.. You do a lot of essays but that is what you have to do in all english 28 classes.. he is picky on fragments and run-ons so just be careful on those things and you will do great.. Have fun:)

Nice Professor. Tell class examples of his life story. But let me warn you If you have any sentence fragments, comma-splices and run-ons on your essays you will get a (D) on those essays. So make sure you don't make those mistakes when writing your essays. You were warned!

Great Prof. Tells stories that pertain to class to show how everything connects. Has wide knowledge. Throws a lot of information at you repeatedly so that you get it. Delightful in general. Also very fair.

if you want to learn.. he is your man. he is always available if you need help. i think he is a great teacher and very interesting. if you want to play around i would suggest you do not take him. he cares about his students and he is always willing to help if you are willing to learn.

Highly recommended. He is one of those rare professors who really cares about his students. If you are willing to come to class and pay attention, then you will do just fine. There is a ton of reading (well that is expected in a Bible Lit course) but he makes it manageable. He only tests on things gone over in class. Very delightful man overall.

One of the best! Very friendly and very approachable for questions. 3 exams and 2 papers; for exams, he lets you pick from a pool of questions to answer, and exams are open-book. Lots of discussion in class. Definitely recommended, but register early - his classes fill quick.

He has been by far my favority professor at Pierce. He is very entertaining and fun. I loved going to his class. It was the only 3 hour class that actually went by pretty quickly. I highly recommend taking his class.

He is how all Pierce professors should be. He teaches the course that is usually boring (or sounds boring) and made it entertaining. He is the most open minded guy and loves to use the work Fuc* in an educational sense. It's hilarious. NOT AN EASY A though, you have to earn it. It separates true college students from lazy high school students.

One of my FAVORITE profs! He loved to tell stories & was very smart and open to most anything..likes to say Sh*t and F*uck..for educational purposes of course ;) A very wise man one could learn a lot from! Strict on the format for essays..just do exectly what says and u wont have probs. Remember..this is college, not High School.

Professor Follett is one of the best teachers I have ever had.. and I have been in school a long time! He is very interesting, the class flies by- and that's saying a lot after working all day and being in class til 10 at night. If you have a question, ask. He will always take the time to help you if you need it. Highly recommend him!!!

Amazing professor. Goes out of his way to help you. Very interactive with students, friendly and interesting as well as understanding. Fun class. A bit of reading and the essays are based off readings. It does require you to work for your grade, but it shouldn't be difficult to get an A or B. Group orientated.

professor follett is the BEST english teacher you can possibly have at pierce. he is hilarious but teaches you everything you need to know. his class was actually fun to go to there were only 7 essays in the semester pretty simple but i learned alot.

Dr. Follett is the best English professor I have ever had. His in class and out of class essays always have around 6-8 topics to choose from, so you are not stuck with one topic. He also has great notations on all essays you turn in. You gotta take his class. At least once xD

Follett is ABSOLUTELY amazing! I have never had a professor like him. You will learn soooo much from him and the stories he has to share. Those stories do tie into the lesson. You MUST work hard for your grade and it is impossible to fail his class. I LOVE FOLLETT!!

Dr. Follett is a great professor overall. You will given about 6 essay for the entire semester . He drop the lowest score or you could not to do one. He goes over common mistake the day he return the essay . If you need help with grammar I encourage to also go to the writing lab because he does really go over grammar.Also he is a liberal !

Nice Professor. He is a serious yet funny guy, and he tells a lot of colorful stories. The books are absolutely required. He gives 2-3 in-class essays & the final, plus 5-6 additional essays to do at home based on the book material, and then edit the essays in a group. Phones must be off. He starts and stops on time.

Lets keep this simple. If you want to learn how to write, take him. If you just want a good grade, take someone else. He is a great professor who really wants you to learn, and will help you every way he can to succeed in writing. But if you don't want to learn, please don't waste the time and space, just go find another class.

The guy is amazing. He should totally be teaching at the state university level though. I got a D the first semester I took it, but that was my own doing. He said I could retake the class the next semester with him, so I did. And I got an A in the class. Aced the final paper too. PLEASE TAKE THIS GUY! I promise you will not regret it.

He will help you if you ask for it, but you have to commit. You must work for an A but it's not too intense. Definitely a fun and interesting class.

This was the most fun, most interesting, and most engaging class I have ever had. Dr. Follett was a wonderful teacher who had interesting stories, wasn't afraid to speak his mind, and was just pleasant to be with. As long as one writes the essays and reads the books, you are guaranteed an A. Best English class ever, and more useful than any other.

His grading method is rather strict, but it ultimately helps with your writing. My grammar improved tenfold by the end of the class.
