Excellent professor,cares about students. very funny You will learn in his class, but one thing just make sure that you turn off cell phones because he won't tolerate that he will give you minus five points on the next exam

He was very helpful. Would sometimes give curves on tests. Nice but tends to waste a lot of time talking.

Great Teahcer. One who really cares about seeing his students suceed. Once you pass his class he even stops and talks to you, to see if anything he taught you has helped. Hes kool people.

He has a very wholesome sense of humor and will always go way out of his way to help you understand. If your cell rings he'll take off points. Just make sure you show up everyday because he's very strict about attendance. He'll hardly let you out early.

He is a real cool guy, helps you whenever u need him. The only thing is that he speaks when hes eating his mints, its gets annoying but you will get used to it, great guy!

Nice Teacher. Trys to be funny but he's not. Somewhat helpful. Goes over most of the work in class. Alot of homework. Likes to talk alot, mostly about things that have nothing to do with the class.

He's the kind of professor that's dedicated and he likes his students to suceed in his class. Sometimes he gives out extra-credit. The only way to pass his class is by truning off your cell phone before class and exams also do all of your work. DON'T GIVE ANY LATE WORK!!!!

Great guy. Makes you responsible for your own work and prepares you for english comp. Make sure to turn your cell phone off and highlight in your book and you'll be fine. Homework is more than average but if you do it you'll be fine. He's a funny guy and if you can stick with him and take responsiblity for your work then take this class.

Anyone who gives negative feedback for Prof Gair is an unresponsible student and needs to go back to highschool. He is very clear on what he wants and what you need to do. If you are capable of following directions you will get an A. Highlight and turn you cellphone off and you'll be fine. Highly recomend.

Very nice man his only promblem is he's alittle to demanding he forget that we are not his kids and we actually pay for the class. But if you are serious about your education you will take this class very great!!!!! teacher

He is awesome. Strict, very nice, respective, & funny.If you want to learn something take him. Don't take him if you want an easy A. He's strict when it comes to attendence & work, cause he really cares. make sure u HIGHLIGHT when he says 2 & NO CELL PHONE. WOW best teacher ever. If you want to learn a lot and pass then i HIGHLY reccomend you to take this class. I will say that you will have to work, but he makes it VERY clear and easy. Professor Gair is an excellent teacher. He loves what he does and knows his subject. What I have noticed is that those of you who have given him poor ratings obviously learned nothing from him, judging from your surplus of spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. Lit and Media of the Holocaust was a great class. No exams, but lots of essays.

He tends to assign a lot of homework work ,and is very strict on not accepting late assignments. Ane he sometimes will ramble on while explaining something. Other then that he is a very nice man, and I enjoyed having him as a teacher.

i learned so much. He is an awesome teacher who will prepare you for the state exam. You can take this class with a teacher who is easy, but when u take the state exam which you need to get out of class you will be prepared. TAKE GAIR hes FAIR

I don't understand anyone who didn't get an A in this man's class. It's literally the easiest class I've ever taken! All you need to do is showup everyday (mandatory - you cannot miss more than 3) and do the homework! He does give alot of it but its all about your reactions to the Holocaust. There aren't any wrong answers. Take it, he's easy.

Prof. Gair really knows what he's talking about in regards to the Holocaust, and does ask some thought provoking questions. However, he is very strict on tardies (3=1 absence) only 2 absences allowed, one tardy paper, etc. He's pretty cool. Love the dying 'fro he has.

He is awesome! He expects alot from you after all you are in college not high school! Tells alot of jokes and does magic tricks but he is harmless! BE CAREFUL OF YOUR CELL PHONE HE DEMANDS THEY BE TURNED OFF AND WILL DING YOU IF HE HEARS THEM! alot of homework but he is a great teacher and he helped me alot earned an easy "A".

All I can say is two words "Danny Devito"!! He is awesome and does care about his students! The Night book was the best part! Learning about the Holocaust was enlightening!!! Thank you for such a great semester!

Professor Gair's Reading class is very useful. You really earn your grade in this class. His jokes are REALLY KORNY (he would probably get kicked off of stand up comedy, if he ever went on)but they really help keep the class interesting. He's a real humble guy who cares about you succeeding. Take him if you struggle with Reading.

Holocaust course is fantastitc. Prof expects alot naturally, given the subject matter! Once in a while, he surprised class with X-time for assignments :) but know that there is a lot of reading, synthesising info, then translating it onto paper in your own words! VRY rewarding if u care about humanity, like to read, write, and think-PG is cool!

The teacher is hard to the bone. He assigns loads of work, but is for your own good, if you fail reading portion of the CPT you should really take this guy he has helped me so much and actually made me into a better reader. Don't flame him because your late, or that he gives you to much work, he comes to you straight up and helps you if you ask.

He's a great teacher, a really funny guy. Attendance is mandatory and always do the work. Easy class just a lot of work but I never stressed out at all. I deft recommend taking him for any reading prep class or english.

Prof Gairs class is not hard. he expects anything that a college professor would. Dont be late to class. because you only get 2 absences. you get homework every class. not alot but maybe 1/2 hr. you go over it the next time in class and then leave. everything is consistant. overall great class and great teacher!

hes a little strict but hes good for a college professor. He helps you and teaches you good techniques especially with the whole highlighting thing, that really helped me. He tells you everything clearly all you gotta is listen.i thought at first he was going to be hard but he really wasnt.i definitely recommend him!!!!

He talks too much

He is a great teacher! He really wants you to pass the state exam and does everything he can to make you understand the information. The homework he tells you to do also helps a lot. He also jokes around but would definitively recommend him.

Professor Gair got me to pass the state exam. He was strict at times but he was really funny and made class fun. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to pass the state exam with flying colors!

His class is overwhelming. I took Holocaust studies because of interest but his repetitive lessons and readings desensitizes everyone. Everything is graded on completion but very time consuming. I dropped it because he over did it and i lost interest. I never received lower than an A though. If you don't mind the work and need an A, take his class.

Taking his Holocaust mutli-media class and the information he provides is abundant. The wealth of knowledge you get from this class is amazing. Great class. His lectures are a little hard to sit through, but the movies, readings and other resources are terrific. I'd recommend the class.

Overall good teacher. Lots of HW but usually doesn't take a long time to do. Labs are done on own time. Goes off on tangents a lot but thats not necessarily a bad thing. lectures are pretty clear and fully explains each chapter. You must attend all classes, you can only miss 4 classes before he drops you. But thats school policy.

Nice professor.As said b4 alot of HW but not too bad. No tests, easy grader and a pretty cool teacher.has alot of knowledge and he is passionate about it. Only take if you are interested in this subject because alot of the work is reflecting on reading and movies. alot of writing but it is quite interesting and im not the book worm student

He is an amazing teacher with a passion for his subject. SO helpful to his students and has many available resources. He spends a lot of time outside of school making the class interesting to his students and really has a great understanding of the holocaust. If you want a quality professor definitely take him! He HATES cell phones and tardiness.

He's cool.TON OF HOMEWORK! Lots of reading your textbook as well as an additional book. He tells lots of stories, attendance is so mandatory! Don't be late and do EVERY piece of work assigned. Just do what he asks; every lab, every homework assignment, every reading assignment, turn work in when due and you will have no problem. Just be prepared!

I took him for Multimedia Lit and the Holocaust. Definitely a life changing class. I highly recommend it. This professor is crazy, but definitely has a passion for this topic. A holocaust survivor spoke to us at the end of the semester. Watched a lot of videos, not too bad on homework, NO TESTS! Final is a paper!

Upper level work, be prepared to be emotional, this isn't an easy subject to handle. Professor will not spoon feed you, upper level writing, very interesting professor, extremely knowledgeable about course, subject and life..

STRICT TEACHER!! can't talk at all, come late, miss 2 classes, or have your cell out just to name a few things he won't deal with. Homework due every class that must be printed, along with several projects that take up A LOT of TIME. Class gets boring after a few classes. I was so glad to get it over with. He's a good guy just very strict.

If you are on here complaining about the work load or attendance policy, Welcome to college people!Yes, he expects you to attend class and no cell phone. It is not an unreasonable request. This class was extremely easy for simply because I like to write. But if you don't I'd advise you not to take this class. He doesn't like when you come to class over 10 min late or when your on your cellphone. Will have a fit! Overall the class was pretty interesting but occasionally boring. Professor Gair is very passionate about this topic.

He assigns a lot of work. Sometimes he can make you stupid. Really strict and talks a lot.

I didn't get to take this class. Why? On the first day of class, my car wouldn't start. I called both his office/cell numbers, & he didn't answer. When I talked to him in person, he didn't listen to anything I said. He expected me to skip another class to attend his or he would withdraw me. I just withdrew myself; his class was not my top priority.

This Teacher is beyond remarkable. I am currently taking his Holocaust class, and i recommend it for all! yes there is something due everyday you enter but the assignments are enjoyable. I'm a very lazy student but when it came to this class it flu by so incredible fast. The first day i thought he was crazy with all the assignments but he's GREATT!

I loved his class. I took him for Holocaust Lit and he was so passionate about it. My friend took him for Reading and hated it. You can tell he does not want to teach reading. As long as you read the material and do all the work, you will pass. No tests, just papers on the reading assignments.

There is a good amount of homework throughout the year but not much class work, no quizzes, no tests, and no exam. He's an honest guy and he'll treat you like a college student unless you act like a high schooler.

Awesome class! Professor Gair is very passionate about the topic and one of the best professors I've ever had. Some might think his work load is much but it really isn't bad. He is crystal clear on assignments and gives you a syllabus with a week by week calendar of assignments. Overall, very easy grader and class. I would recommend to anyone!

Professor Gair is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I did not think I was going to learn as much as I did in this class and stay interested each class. Yes there is A LOT of work but if you do it you will pass easily. I would highly suggest taking one of his classes!

Words of Advice: Show up every class and READ the syllabus if you plan on passing. He expects every assignment to be turned in. Some are not written in the syllabus and others are only discussed within the syllabus. A minimum of (one) page paper is due every class. Not a tough grader, but a lot of tedious work. Great information on the Holocaust.
