Dr. Garnett is a wonderful teacher. He is helpful,TRULY caring, and understanding. He is a very funny character so you definitely stay awake through his lectures. He also involves discussion and his class is a very relaxing, comfortable atmosphere.
Funny guy; good teacher; take him anytime
FABULOUS GUY!!
I think Dr.Garnett is the sexiest professor I have ever seen! He taught me soo many things!
It's too bad they can't c;one this professor! He is awesome. He encourages his students to think and honestly cares about teaching! A++
take this class! fun, easy-going, and you learn alot! dr. garnett is a great guy! he should teach every class!
Great teacher! Class is interesting. Beats he heck out of that other Soc prof I dropped. Very Hot!!! Makes me want to change my major.
This is the best teacher I've had. He is absolutley hilarious and knows his stuff - very opinionated

Dr. Garnett is very interesting to listen to. He makes class fun and enjoyable. But Dr. Garnett,... do me a favor and shave every once in a while. Yes...seriously. lol
Fun teacher, very interesting in lectures. Makes learning fun and easy. Take him if you ever get the chance!!!!
Sometimes lectures and test do not come together. Relates more to certain genders and age groups.

Got my entire minor from this guy. Also chose to continue and get my major. Unfortunately he doesn't teach EVERY class. Most opinionated, fair, unbiased professor I know. Respects students' opinions and makes coming to class something to enjoy. Cute!
He is creepy and gives off a weird vibe to his female students.
Great teacher!! He's hilarious and really made the class fun to go to! Definitely take him if you can :)
He is a very good teacher. He will make the class so interesting that you can’t help but to learn. If only every professor can be as dynamic and enthusiastic about what is being taught. Great class!!
Not bad, the quizzes were a little tricky and the final was a killer, but he has a low grading scale. Easy A!
MY GOD, HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THIS MAN!! HE TELLS IT HOW IT IS AND BASES HIS CLASS ON DISCUSSION. VERY INTERESTING CLASS AND MAN! ALL PROFESSORS SHOULD BE LIKE HIM. DOWN TO EARTH. VERY UNIQUE. HE IS THE REASON I AM A MAJOR! TAKE HIM YOU'LL HAVE A BALL
In Garnett's class there was never a dull moment.

Inspirational teacher, always made class interesting. Not opposed to explaining. See him when I'm working on campus and he always stops to talk.
He was first every Summer School prof, and I wasn't disappointed. I like Soc., so I thought the tests were easy, but there weren't very many in my class who got A's, so maybe he's hard. He is a little too Liberal, but the humor more than makes up for it
he is an awsome professor i look forward to his class each day
Not liberal enough :) Great teacher, very funny. The class may've been too easy though.
Inspirational educator, a breath of fresh air in an age when most professors tend to be either extremely arrogant or extremely ignorant...or even worse a combination of the two. This man qualifies as neither and was a joy to learn from.
Great Professor!!! Took him for summer school and actually didn't mind taking time to go to his class. Encourages everyone to voice their opinions without fear of a closed minded professor.
great professor, very funny. very helpful.
He is very easy.... He is very clear with what he wants from you... You do the work and you will definitely pass......... The internet course it great!!!!!!!!!
He is a great professor to take. If you want to be in a learning enviroment were you can express your views and opinions then you need to take him. Hes an awesome professor.
He is one of the most interesting profs I've ever had. My summer class was everyday at 8 a.m., but I still partly enjoyed going because he was so funny and thought provoking. I thought his tests were easy, but I like SOC, and other people had trouble.
I can't believe the great reviews I see here. If you want an easy A, and you don't want to learn anything, take his class. While he lectures, you can do your homework from your other classes. He likes to listen to himself talk about himself.
Mr. Garnett is a good professor. I e-mailed him several times with concerns and he always had a prompt response. He was very upfront with the requirements of his online course. He was very approachable and friendly.
Made the course managable I don't like the subject much just needed the creds. But always prompt and helpful!
Great professor and funny as hell. You may not always agree with his opinions (he's probably more liberal than 99% of the world), but he says things in such a comical way that it's hard to get mad at him. He's not too difficult either.
Had him 3 times, if that means anything. Has become increasinly bitter towards America's goverment, though. This probably isn't winning him over any fans, though.
Best sociology teacher I've ever had and I've had many. Probably one of the most intelligent guys ive ever known. Grades fair and papers are fairly easy. Do the work and you'll easily get an A
Garnett is hilarious. He's real funny and gives you a chance to respond to questions even if they're about stupid television shows. And he owns up to his bad habits. Basically, he doesn't pretend to be better than all of us lowly students, making him easy to get along with.
Class was alright, though tough. I enjoyed the reading, but wording on tests are tricky, so pay close attention!
Easy class.
Easiest class I took at Marshall University.
I love Dr. G probably an unhealthy amount. He's great and will be my mentor...unless, of course, he runs off to Brazil for an early retirement.
Easy class. I read and highlighted chapters at the last minute and did fine on the quizzes. Doesn't require much time at all. Take him if possible!!
Great teacher.
Gives notes for each chapter. Didn't even need to open the book. Quiz after every unit, but followed right with the notes. I hope all other online classes are like this.
His online class is one of the easiest classes I have ever took. EASY CLASS!
Easy class... Fastest A i have ever made online.. Take this class online if u can.. Its quick and easy..
Very sexy, Throughout his class I couldn't stop staring at him and his sexy chest. I want to take him again so I can look at him so more. Great teacher too.
HIS STATS CLASS WAS THE BEST IN WORLD. HE IS AWESOME FOR STATS
Funny guy.
I love Professor Garnett!!!! He made Sociology sooo interesting and he's a pretty hot for an older guy...definetely take him!
This is one of the easiest classes I've taken. Very clear lectures. Adds a lot of humor to break the lectures up; overall funny guy. If you need a social science or sociology class, this is a great one to take because he cuts the crap and gets to the point. Gives virtually no homework except one assignment due anytime during the semester which is relatively easy. Reading helps, but it's not required to pass.
Very good teacher. He is understaning of any problems that may arise on your end.
This class wasn't to bad!! His test were fair as long as you study, but he doesn't keep in contact with you if this is taken over the internet.
He was very funny and very interesting to listen to. Made everything clear and would stop and explain something if you didn't get it. Made class very fun and very interesting. I would recommend him any day!
ask him about his favorite beer, and you've just set the topic for an entire period's lecture.
Awesome teacher! Doesn't lecture hard so we didn't get through half of the stuff on the syllabus. Tells lots of funny stories. You have 3 tests and one small paper due any time thru the semester. Test are easy. I've got As on all so far. He's an interesting teacher.
His online class is great! I got an A. Does require alot of reading, you only have one quiz a week (10 questions), and you have to do 8 discussion questions a semester. Easy online class.
Easy class, easy A. Tests are straight from his notes, so take good ones! And be sure to document his examples that he gives in class b/c they are usually on the tests. He skips the ridiculous crap in the book and gets to the main ideas and core information...good teacher...take him (& he's easier than Roth).
TAKE ONLINE!!!! I studied for 2-3 hours a week and dedicated 1 night a week to this class and got an "A". For a college class, it doesn't get any easier than this, as long as you study. Just study his notes and read the chapter and you CAN NOT get lower than a "B"......
Excellent teacher....the class is easy if you make it easy....there are a lot of notes and sometimes the class is ever so long but its a good class and he does keep it interesting. Great stories thoughout class...if you have a chance take Dr. G
Take Dr.Garnett for every class you can. He is a great techer. At times he may come off angry but he is just passionate and is really a sweet man. He keeps things interesting(even stats!) and tells great personal stories. You will learn a lot from him. Do yourself a favor and take Dr. Garnett.
I took him for an Honors class years ago and found him very arrogant and unwilling to listen to the students. I will say, though, that he was passionate about his subject and very knowledgable.
Dr. Garnett should run for President! He has some of the best political ideas of anyone I've ever met. He is also a great professor. The only problem in the upper-level classes is that you have to buy 2-3 thick books that you often don't even have to read. Tests are usually take-home essays in 300 and 400 level classes. Lectures aren't boring.
Without question, Dr. Garnett is the best teacher at the University. Very open to student questions and concerns, always respectful, and very approachable if you have a question. Unlike some instructors, Dr. Garnett does not play favorites and your grade depends upon what you do not how much you agree with him. He is very passionate about teachi
Dr. Garnett is a pretty good professor. I had his summer class, and its pretty easy. He couldn't stay with his syllabus if his life depended on it. He likes to tell a lot of stories about his travels, and that usually takes up most of the lecture time. He's really funny becase he is always angry about something.Very intelligent, highly recommended.
I really enjoyed his class. I would have enjoyed it more had it not been at 9 am. He is a very good professor and teaches straight from the book. His tests are relatively easy and sometimes he posts notes on vista which help A LOT! He is a really funny guy too and talks about his travels and girl friend and what pisses him off class is very interes
EXCELLENT PROFESSOR! REALLY CARES ABOUT AND LISTENS TO HIS STUDENTS; EASY TO UNDERSTAND; WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE TO HELP STUDENTS. IF YOU FAIL HIS CLASS, ITS YOUR OWN FAULT. GREAT SENSE OF HUMOR!

He is so nice and funny. He is very helpful.
I don't know whether to love or hate this man. He has no filter on what comes out of his mouth regarding politics, and doesn't care who he offends. He thinks he is the authority on everything. His tests can be tricky, and there's no real reason to come to class...he posts the notes on WebCt.
he's a very nice man, however what he talks about in class has nothing to do with what is on his tests. all he does is talk about his life stories and refers to things in the text maybe once every class. he posts his notes on Webct, but it won't look familiar to you.
I adhore him! He's one of the best soc. professors I've had! Great for discussion and amazing ideas on world events. Would marry him!
HE IS THE GREATEST--HE'LL WORK WITH YOU TILL YOU'RE SURE YOU OK WITH EVERYTHING. HE'S FUNNY, DOWN-TO-EARTH, LISTENS TO WHAT THE STUDENTS SAY AND CARES.
why is this man still teaching? how many times do we have to have a class completely digress to topics such as football and foreign women when we can't even keep up with the schedule? so bad I'm teaching myself (and others in the class!) instead of trusting this man to teach. my longterm goals will NOT be suborned by his utter incompetence.
Richard you are a God, can I name my first born after you? i.e. God? _BC_
Dr. Garnett is one of the best Sociology professors that you could have. While true that his teaching style is casual, this actually makes the class for more interesting, and allows people to understand better the concepts of Sociological Theory. His penchant for assisting any of his students who need help is a massive asset to his character also
This guy is so freaking funny. I enjoy the class. He let us pick 20 terms and he used 10 of them on the test. He is very full of himself, buthe is very intelligent. He is very helpful. The only bad thing is all of the butt kissing that goes on in his class.
It is obvious that this man knows a lot about... a lot of things. His opinions are often extreme but they have encouraged me to think critically. I may not have learned an exuberant amount of material that related to he syllabus but I did leave with a greater understanding of the general subject material and learned a lot about other stuff too.
For the most part he is hilarious. He keeps things intresting. Tell him your a Duke and Jets fan and you'll be on his good side. He is unlear about what is going to be on the exams, but they usually aren't too hard. Borderline communist. He checks this website frequently to check his tamale status.
Great teacher! Very nice, helpful, and keeps the class interested!
Great teacher!
What a great teacher! Absolutely hilarious. Get him talking about the NY Giants and you're golden! Also, he talks about South Park alot in class too! Real laid back guy, funny, and to the point, although he can get off on some pretty funny rants about societal issues. IF YOU HAVE TO TAKE SOCIOLOGY TAKE GARNETT! PERIOD!
He is the best teacher ever!!! I freaking love him!!! He has a great teaching style and the class is super easy!!!! He makes sociology really interesting and fun!!!!!!!
This professor is very funny! His class is easy and fun!! NO HOMEWORK, mostly lectures, fairly easy tests! LOVED THIS PROFESSOR!!!
Funny. Intelligent. Take notes in class and you're in the clear. You rarely have to refer to the book, though he assigns reading. He goes over everything in class.
Very good and helpful teacher. He makes you get interested in the class, I know I wasnt to begin with. Also very funny, helps to be a NY Giants fan......
he is great i was pregnant during this semester and missed alot of class he allowed me to make up my exams and let me use his lecture notes to study if he knows your serious bout the work and your not just skippin for no reason he is really willin to help i would take him again if i could
He is a great teacher who really wants everyone to do well. Taking notes is very helpful. I would reccommend him to all.
He's an extremely funny, intelligent guy. Learned a lot as well.
He's supposed to be "funny," but his rants really aren't very funny, and they waste time that could be spent not being in class.
Pretty easy teacher. He wanted the students to learn and if you study for the exams, you will receive a good grade. I would recommend this professor to anyone.
I had him for an online class. He was always really quick to respond to emails and was super helpful! Would definitely take him again online or on campus!
pretty cool;knows what he's talking about & enjoys it;not so much "funny" as he is "amusing";really entertaining & has good discussions. Problem is your grade is based on 2 tests & a final-not cool, esp. if you screw one up. The test format is easy;class lectures are 1/2 helpful; Read the book; concepts aren't hard - just straightening the terms
I took this course online and I was very impressed with how well everything was composed both lecture and quiz/test. He was extremely helpful and responded to emails in a timely manner. The course was on the point of the course material and did not stray from information with useless busy work. Definitely worth taking!
He is an amazing teacher. He goes over everything in class. The only issue is that your grade is based on 3 tests and 1 paper. If you read and study some it's fine though.
Great Proffessor I really liked this class, I would recommend him to anyone. He made the class interesting and if u do the work you will get a good grade.
Very nice teacher, I was hardly there but I think I got a c or a b...
An okay teacher. Was nice but did not use class time well, spent more time talking about his peruvian girlfriends than sociology.
Great instructor but has a really dirty mouth (he curses a lot)
Horrible teacher for this class
Professor Garnett is a nice guy that seems to love being a sociologist. However, he's not an ideal choice for FYS because of his tendency to ramble and complete lack of class structure. We spent more time talking about the Giants and his girlfriend than race. Easy as long as you do the reflection papers and read some of what he assigns.
Professor Garnett got off topic very easily. The material discussed in class had more to do with his Peruvian girlfriends than it did with the class. It was an easy A class, but very boring.
I took this course online. It was well structured- read the chapter, take a quiz, write a few paragraphs- repetitive but pretty easy. You must read the chapters and notes to get a good grade on the quiz. He responds to emails VERY quickly and is pleasant from what I could tell. Highly recommend this class
He really knows his stuff when comes to the Holocaust.
Dr Garnett is one of my absolute favorite professors. He's super smart. He does tend to get offtopic and talk about non-related material, but I still learned tons in his class. I've had him for two different classes at this point. He comes off as cocky and flippant at first, but he's genuinely nice and caring. Love his classes.
all-around excellent professor
He is The BEST, he knows his subject, loves what he does, and will go out of his way to help his students. Will take him again!
He's so nice and helpful! Would definitely recommend!
Lots of group projects, classes were pretty boring, seems like an ok guy but not very organized. Don't expect a grade on papers because he just gives checkmark pluses and checkmark minuses. Curses a lot.
He is really funny and has lots of good stories tat he may or may not actually relate to the material. I never took any notes and just payed attention. He doesn't take attendance but he tells you what will mostly likely be on the test so it's best to go to class. He says to read the book a lot but I never did
I respect this man the most for challenging students to think. He has been around and has great knowledge in sociology. It is clear that he loves what he does. Pay attention in class and do your own reading following the syllabus. I would encourage you to ask questions to learn as much as possible because it's a clear environment for fun learning.
He is a really wonderful teacher. He doesn't mind if you turn in reflection papers late or miss class if you tell him you have a big test coming up. There is a group project and short reflection papers. Really nice guy!
You really have to read the book since he tends to tell a lot of stories about his travels (mainly Peru, Brazil, Spain) and his friends from other countries. He randomly switches between about three or four languages. He is pretty funny though. If you take him ask him what color he is (he should say pink, with a story of course)!
I love Dr. Garnett! He is the reason I chose to pursue a minor in Sociology. I have had two of his classes, and I loved them both. Although he does get off topic on occasion, I found myself learning so much from both of his classes.
Got a pop lecture from him when my teacher was out for the day. This guy is funny. He has common sense and likes to be interesting. He said what was necessary to transmit intelligent information as painless as possible. Will be seeking him out for future classes.
His lectures are very boring. You do not have to go to class very often or take notes at all. He posts his powerpoints and notes on BlackBoard. Tests are open-note. He's a funny guy just gets off topic and when he is on topic it's boring stuff. But I would recommend him.
I hate his teaching style. He only lectures, and he goes off on tangents that have nothing to do with class. He's incredibly biased and pompous. Also, the textbook isn't needed. Attending class isn't even needed. Show up if you want, but it's a waste of time. All the power points are posted to blackboard, & cheat sheets are permitted on tests
Wonderful teacher. Just start talking about the Giants and class will fly by. A couple reflection papers but they are super easy. Highly recommend.
Dr. Garnett is really smart and knows the subject extremely well, but he goes on a LOT of off-topic rants during class, so get ready to read if you actually want to learn theory. Nice guy, though. Really funny.
Amazing teacher
Dr. Garnett is like a walking encyclopedia but I just couldn't get into the class. He gets off topic fairly easy and does not post grades to Blackboard at all... He tries to make you read a novel called 'Tent of Miracles' which is absolutely mind numbing and he expects class discussions. Overall he's an easy professor but the materials boring.
Very good professor for non-majors. Really easy to get along with if you don't mind very liberal heavy viewpoints, he's a sociologist so I'm not surprised. He spells out what's going to be on the tests and as long as you read the book it is a walk in the park. So as long as your not a jerk and you do your work, you'll be fine.
Professor Garnett is the most helpful guy I've ever met! He gave me multiple attempts to fix my online assignments and gave the whole class extra time for quizzes and such. I would 10/10 recommend taking his online SOC 200, but definitely go see him in his office. HE IS GREAT!
He is very helpful and caring, also very hilarious. As long as you are paying attention you'll make it.
I loved Garnett. His tests are pretty easy as long as you go to class and read the book. Highly recommend buying the book and highlighting everything that he says during lecture because most of his lectures come straight from the book.
Easy class, weekly readings and short response questions. Pretty interesting material.
Easy class but you are graded by 3 exams including a final and 2 papers. I was very stressed the whole semester and he doesn't enter grades on blackboard so you go all semester without knowing your grade. I do not recommend taking.
Loved this class, he made it very interesting and definitely encouraged participation from his students when discussing topics. He would always listen if you had a question and would thoroughly answer each one. Not gonna lie, I missed a lot of classes cause it was an 8 am, but attendance isn't mandatory and I got an A.
I've had Garnett for several classes. If you love Politics, you'll love him. If you don't keep up with Politics, you'll find the class a bore. Garnett has all kinds of stories from all around the world, so don't be afraid to ask exploratory questions. You can learn a lot if you actually want to. GO TO OFFICE HOURS - he absolutely loves his students
Online class w lots of assignments/readings (personally didn't read anything beyond what was asked on the assignments). Responsive to emails/gave good help. Fairly easy A for a CT course.
This class was a joke. I never actually used the textbook and never took notes because I hardly knew what was relevant or not. He moved very slowly, and we ended up being very behind. He's super opinionated and likes to get on tangents about things like sports or Venezuela. Would've dropped if it wasn't so easy.
Took SOC200 online a while back while in high school--it's a very easy class that's definitely appropriate for the transition between HS and college. I would definitely take it again. I didn't have any issues in the class, so I never contacted him for help. Most of the work was common sense and very easy--if you failed, that was your own fault.
For a liberal, he's a great professor. I'm conservative and there's obviously some things he'll mention that I don't agree with but he's still really good. I find myself laughing a lot and it's one of the only classes I actually like going to. You have to read the books and show up to class to pass the tests, but they're not too hard.
Of course he's leftist. He's a sociology professor, and you're in college.
I dreaded this class every day I had it. The material that was most important for tests was always unclear. Going into this class right out of high school was rough for me because you have to adapt to writing your own notes based upon what he says in lecture.
I would just like to take this opportunity to warn students that this alcoholic slimeball verbally harassed me and allegedly sleeps with his students. Dr. Garnett should be fired. This is a common sentiment but he allegedly manipulates his own RateMyProfessor page. Don't take it from me, do your own research and ask around: he's the worst.
Prof Garnett was amazing. He made the lectures entertaining yet full of. information and on topic. I didn't use any book but make sure you take good notes to study from. The test are slightly difficult but he doesn't give many. Don't procrastinate writing assignments or studying. it'll make your life harder. Overall would tell anyone to take this.
Dr. Garnett taught a very enjoyable class. He was always entertaining and used real like examples to help understand concepts. He gives 3 exams including the final and two writing assignments. I would recommend him for an easy A if you read the textbook and go to class.
This class is challenging with the tests and papers but his lectures were amazing. I do feel like I have learned something from him that will stick with me. For sure not an easy class but if you are wanting to learn something about the subject I would for sure take the class with him.
While he is easy to reach the content is really hard to comprehend online unless you are willing to spend hours outlining the content of the online book. the chapters are long and boring and the power points he provides don't help all that much. the writing assignments aren't too bad.
Sometimes Dr. Garnett can seem scary but once you get to know him, he is not as bad as he seems. He has 2 papers and 3 exams for grades, if you go to class and pay attention you will know what to do for the test. He also adds points the low grades on a test to a passing grade at least. If you go to class.
His class was always entertaining to say the least! However, it was frustrating when he took until the day before you could drop the class to give you your current grade. Also, when doing writing assignments he expects a paper copy! So the real due date is when you have class with him that day. Wish I knew that before the day it was due...
Grades very slow and excepts a paper copy for his papers. He only uses 3 tests and a couple of papers. Everything is covered in powerpoints so the book isnt necessary. Easy if you show up to class and takes notes.
Going into the class I was sure Dr. Garnett would be my favorite professor. That quickly changed. In my experience he was very hard to get ahold of, considering he never answered his emails. And he takes months to put grades in. Literally didnt have a single grade in until about three days past the last day to drop the course. Dont recommend.
All multiple choice exams. If you go to class and at least try to pay attention and take basic notes, there is no reason you can't get a good grade. If you can't handle people with leftist political views, you will struggle because he is vocal about his beliefs. No extra credit, but graded to bring the average to a 75, so you will get points added.
Dr. Garnett was intimidating at first, but as the class progressed, it wasn't as bad as I thought. Of course, the only grades in the class were based on 2 papers and 3 exams, but going to every class made it a lot easier. Also, quizlet was my saving grace in this class for studying purposes, so use it!
I took Professor Garnett for summer intersession online. This course was only about 4 weeks long. There were 3-4 quizzes due every week and 8 discussions due for the whole course along with 2 three page papers. I liked this course and felt it was not that difficult. As long as you are disciplined and stay on task, you will pass. I learned a lot.
Professor Garnett is a great professor. He loves sociology and that shows in his lectures. You have 3 exams and 2 papers which are not too hard. If you pay attention in his class you will do fine. He has always been nice in class and he is fun to be around. If you have to take sociology, I absolutely recommend.
Hates the world, he does.
This man is easily my favorite professor, and I would recommend him to anyone. Especially those actually interested in sociology. He relates the textbook to his personal experiences and makes class enjoyable. Read the book and take notes during lectures and you will learn a lot.
Prof. Garnett's class is entertaining, but can be tricky with his specific grading system. Attend lectures, take notes, and use resources like unstuck ai to stay on top of things. Overall, worth taking if you're interested in the subject.
This class was Okay. The professor was nice, but to be honest, I don't wanna take him again sometimes during the lectures, I don't even remember us talking about sociology. I only remember him talking about sports like football, soccer, and some other sports. I'm just very, very thankful that I got a good grade in this class.
Didn't make sense on a few things he does. Not really going over anything or teaching. More like a person that wants to sit and talk about anything and everything. Very opinionated to the point that I was scared to say I was a republican for fear of having my grade dropped.
Dr. Garnett has been my favorite professor at Marshall so far. Though he gets off track from his syllabus, his content is entertaining and interesting. His tests are easy as long as you look over notes or powerpoints before and he gives great essay feedback. He is a very interesting person to talk to outside of class as well. Definitely recommend.
There is only 5 grades for this class so if you take Garnett make sure you will do well on exams as thats all that really counts towards your grade. Two papers are required for this course and he grades pretty harshly considering he says he doesnt look at grammer (he did). Be ready to hear about his love life and political views.
Prof. Garnett's class has been my worst experience at Marshall. He rarely taught, instead used class time to share political views, personal problems, and tell students how to think. He often used offensive language and made inappropriate comments, like calling marriage "a burden for women." I definitely do not recommend his classes.
The department needs a complete overhaul. I have been told things about this professor by the department head and secretary that should never have been told to students. I guess they are trying to get him to quit - at least that is what is seems like to me and others that have been told things about him. He is frustrated at the circumstances.
He is actually kind of funny because he likes to go on rants, but other than that his class wasn't a big issue. There is only 5 grades in the entire course, but they are easy if you study and write a somewhat decent paper. Nice guy also.
He has admitted to using AI to grade papers, and grades quite slowly. Also, be prepared for him to go on tangents about things that aren't relevant, involving his political beliefs. Honestly, if you do good on the papers, you should get a B.
He often shares his political views, which can make students who disagree uncomfortable because he sometimes does so in a rude manner, but otherwise he is nice guy. Very funny and available often at office hours. He grades gently and offers extra credit on tests if the class does poorly. It was a good class just to get the credit.
