difficult class, but very interesting; a great prof
high but not unreasonable expectations, really good prof, should take
Excellent Professor who makes you earn your grade
demanding, brilliant
demanding but fair
knows everything about government
Excellent overview of the court system, a must for those who want to go to law s
Fair, intelligent, interesting, enthusiastic.
Daily quizzes are 30%. What can I say? I got a D. But he looks good.
the most challenging and rewarding classes to take at MU.
outstanding prof
exams are very hard, but he is smart and pure eye candy
Dr.Glenn is an excellent prof and very demanding. You will learn a lot in his classes. If you're not willing to work hard, take another class.
good looking family man, very intelligent, helpful examples in class, makes the class interesting.
He's so attractive it's distracting, but he is an excellent teacher. He's very demanding and his tests are hard, but you learn a lot.
Very challanging, but very rewarding! Covers all sides of the isssues.
He teaches his Intro to Gov class like it was a 400 level class (difficulty wise) but he is by far one of the best profs at Millersville. Take this class if you want to actually learn something about government, but be prepared to work for it.
Most thought provoking class I have had; hard, hard, hard, but well worth it
tough, tough class, but interesting, if you like that kind of stuff. Dr. Glenn is very respectful of students.
i cried a few times in this class....but i'm still glad i took it! i learned so much and he's just good looking so it's an extra bonus to come to class
By far the best professor the 'Ville has seen or will ever see. Just being in his class was a privilege.
Dr. Glenn deserves to teach at a far more presigous institution than this one. If you want to get an ivy league education at a state school price, this is your professor. If you want easy cretits, go take Whalstrom.
Clearly one of the best at MU; quality of ivy league liberal arts colleges. Very challenging, but worth it--will be *the* most rewarding of all classes you *ever* take. Your mind will never be the same!
EXCELLENT Prof, HARD CLASS!!! You will learn alot if you are willing to do alot of work and reading
HE IS VERY HARD!...especially if you have never liked gov't...but you will learn alot...he gives quizes everyday...and expects you to be in love with gov't...I wouldn't recomend unless you're really into AMERICAN GOVERNMENT!
hardest i have ever worked for a terrible grade, excellent teacher, very thought provoking. just make sure you have ALOT of time to understand his information.its the most i have learned from a class and its the lowest grade i have ever recieved.
This is a very difficult class. I do not suggest taking this class if do not enjoy government. Dr. Glenn has a lot to offer, it helps if you have some prior knowledge in government. Do not take this class if you enjoy slacking off and doing a minimal a
If you don't like government, don't take this man. Read the material he gives you everyday for a short one question quiz, and carefully read the book before each test. Oftentimes, the questions for the quizzes will be on the syllabus!
Excellent professor, keeps class interesting, gives one-question quiz every class but they're easy if you did the stuff on the syllabus. Tests are pretty hard, gotta know your stuff, but it's one of the only classes I actually look forward to going to.
Amazing professor and very interesting class. He tought me a lot but his tests are incredibly hard. Probobly my favorite professor I've had.
By far the best teacher I've ever had. Really shouldn't be teaching at Millersville but extremely glad that he is. Probably the two hardest classes I've had, but what you get out of the class makes it worth it. Would recommend to anyone.
glenn is a brilliant teacher, and every rating here that says something to that effect is correct. i know a lot about government, but i learned an incredible amount in his intro to american government class.
Name a building after this man! Heck, name the entire university after him! Very challenging though so be prepared to work. Got a 'C' grade wise but I received an A++ in the learning wise. This man is a wealth of knowledge. Take him if you're a Govt major
Dr. Glenn is my hero! So concise and knowledgeable it isn't even funny. He's never late, and he returns grades in no time. It's important that you read the assignments he gives on the syllabus everyday and study hard for his tests. Take him!
Absolutely amazing professor. Best I have ever had.
the best professor at millersville.tough but fair.tells it like it is,you get what you work for.hard but very informative.good luck to your cubs!!
dr. glenn is a terrific professor. you can tell that he is so interested in what he teaches. he's so smart, and relates what he's talking about to people in the classroom. lots of reading and a short quiz every class, but its only so you learn it!
Very dedicated teacher. Always a pleasure to take a class with.
I had Dr. Glenn over five years ago. Simply put, he was the best professor I had while at the Ville. He lectured but it was lecture that enthralled the class. I loved the Supreme Court simulation concerning churches renting out public school facilities.
Tuition would be worth it if these man taught ever class.
A very funy guy!
Simply put this man is a GREAT. Tough, fair, and extremely knowledgeable he is one of the best professors I have ever had. You will learn tons if you are willing to put in the work. Take him, it will be very beneficial.
HE'S SUPER COOL!!!!
KNOWS HIS STUFF
He is a very knowledgeable professor with the ability of making class fun. He is easy to understand. However, there is a ton of reading to do and a quiz almost every class. If you do the work though, you will get a good grade. You won't regret taking him.
I expected to hate this course I took for gen ed, but now look forward to it. Dr. Glenn is so intelligent, well spoken and enthusiastic that you get caught up in his lectures. There's some pretty hard reading but he clarifies it well in class. He's funny and personable and definitely recommended.
Really got me turned on to politics. His lectures were like sermons - excellent speaker. His tests were more difficult that I expected, but study and you’ll do fine.
Sure he may be a good teacher, and his lectures are interesting, HOWEVER for a 100 level GOVERNMENT class- he is ridiculous. The readings are insane, there are quizzes everyday and his tests are also ridiculous. Unless youre a government major don't take this class-or at least take another professor
Amazing. Dude went all semester without ever looking at notes. Hard, but boy did I learn.
one question quiz everyday ( they equall a test grade and can really bring your grade up) really easy if you read and answer the homework quetions. like he says if you do the work you will pass..freshmen quit your belly aching about all the reading it only gets worse..there is NOT that much
lectures were very interesting. i did learn a lot from the class. a good amount of reading required for quizzes. the reading is to give you a better understanding of what is going to be covered. tests are not that bad you just have to take good notes and study. very pleased with the class.
Learned a lot in his class. Just read the assignments and the daily quizzes will be a breeze. Tests are based on lectures and readings and are fairly easy if you study. Attendence is a must. Great professor!!! Would take again.
Fantastic Prof. He's the reason I'm changing my major to Govt. Tests are challenging, but you'll be okay if you're prepared. He really is the smartest Prof I've ever had, not to mention total eye candy.
class lecture was interesting. tests aren't that bad if you read the text and go over notes.
he's brilliant. if i could, id only take classes with him.
Don't take Conlaw I or II ever.so hard. extreme amount of work, but u do learn a lot.good if you want to go to law school. Really interesting lectures. I wonder why he is teaching at our school and not some really good one. I saw him and his son at a baseball game...so cute. I am in love with him.
Awesome professor!! Make sure you read the assignments. This will make the daily quizzes easy. Tests are difficult so make sure you read and study. Don't underestimate quizzes, attendence and participation. Take him, you will learn a lot and have a good time while learning.
Good profesor. Makes his course objectives very clear and teaches to the book. Also does a very good job at keeping the class interested in what he's talking about. I had to work hard in his class but I got an A.
Most difficult class I've ever taken. I wanted to go to law school but after that class, decided not to. Thought he favored those already in the major and didn't provide much assistance to those from other schools of discipline.
Fair amount of reading. Does have quizzes everyday about what was read. Very helpful professor and is willing to help students who are struggling in the class. One of the few professors who will take the time to help someone out about an assignment or exam.
Dr. Glenn is the smarted professor i ever had.. Very hard class.. If you are a govt major take him and just do all your work you should learn a lot and you should pull through.. if you're not a govt major dont take this class!!
Best prof I had at Millersville. Makes you work hard, makes you think, he's fair, but stern and expects the very best from his students.
Unbelievably awesome!! Dr. Glenn is the best professor ever. Expects a lot from you but makes sure that you learn what you should. VERY INTERESTING!! Extremely helpful. I'll use some of his techniques when i'm teaching.
Dr. Glenn is a good professor-Plain and simple. He actually makes you go to class and actually holds students accountable for their own educations. I've learned a lot. He's not hot, & he's more of a talking encyclopedia than a genius, & actually he's really not that personable. He's a nice guy, grades fairly, demands a lot, & is clear/concise.
had him for amer. govt & amer judiciary. fair teacher. very personable. does expect students to do work. he'll give u pointers on how to do better in class if u're not doing that well. talked to him several times after class and even met up w/ him to talk about my work outside his office hours. does care about how the student is doing in clas
AMAZING. If you do not learn under this guy, it's your own fault.
Dr. Glenn neither fair, nor personable. He is a petty little twerp who thinks he knows all there is to know and dislikes students who disagree with him. The synchophants who enjoy his class are mindless automotons who think regurgitating one man's opinion as their own equates knowledge. He taught me nothing and I put 7+ hours of prep each week.
Structures the class to make as difficult as possible, but a good lecturer and interesting material. I learned a lot but the class is mentally exhausting. Should have broken down the material into three or more tests instead of relying on a midterm and final for most of the grade. Two of lecture too much for one test.
I felt the need to respond to the comment below. Professor Glenn is incredibly intelligent, and incredibly fair. He tolerates even the most inane and irrelevent comments. Yes, he'll tell you if you're wrong, but he's certainly doesn't dislike students who disagree with him. If anything, he encourages dissent. Take him. You will learn.
Right on about Dr. Glenn - he is perhaps the finest professor on campus. Lectures are eloquent and fun, but workload is very challenging. Glenn will make coming to class a pleasure and the process of learning incredibly rewarding. You'll learn so much valuable information about the law in his upper-level courses, and his intro class is phenomenal.
To the last poster: he is only teaching one class because he recently got a grant from the University to start on a new project. He just wrote a new book on the Foruth Amendment. He's also the chair of the department and the faculty rep for MU athletics - his union contract won't ALLOW him to teach anymore classes. Get your facts straight.
Wow, one of the most conceited people I have ever met in my life. And the students that love him; well, they are conceited little brats as well. Absolutely loves to talk about himself and his family. Who gives a crap if you want your kids to be pro-baseball players? Very overrated and I wasn't impressed.
Absolutely remarkable. But he makes you work. Lectures very interesting. Incredibly knowledgeable. You will learn alot.
Overrated. He is smart - but not that smart. He recites facts. I don't think he's half as cool as he thinks he is. Not personable. Did learn - but he's not all he's cracked up to be. The yuppie butt kissers love him.
Dr. Glenn is an excellent professor. He always shows up for class prepared. He gives great lectures. He learns all of his students names in the first two weeks. I learned more in this class than all my other classes combined! Tests are hard but he is very fair.
A classic case of a teacher who knows his topic but doesn't know how to teach it. Waste of time and money if you want to learn. He has this "Paper Chase" sort of romantic idea of teaching that is outdated and ineffectual. Compare/contrast him with Dr. Madden in economics and you'll see how poor a professor he is.
The "paper chase" method mentioned below is generally known as the "Socaratic" method in academic circles. Dr. Glenn doesn't hand information to students on a silver platter, rather he expects students to be accountable for their own education. He's there as a guide. It's true that it may be too difficult for some students to learn this way.
I have never worked harded in any course than this one, but I am learning a ton. I like Dr. Glenn's teaching method and I like the fact that he puts the burden of learning the stuff on us. All in all an excellent teacher and course.

HARDEST PROF EVER but EXCELLENT PROF. Gotta do the work, read the materials, particimate and pay attention in class, read over notes every night/day before class period... tests are hard as hell so you gotta study. Very smart, nice, respectable guy. Good-looking, too :)
Excellent teacher. Took him for three hour class in summer and was never bored. Always makes class interesting. Tests are hard but I learned alot. Highly recommended.
full of himself.
i was scared to death the first day because he has such high standards but if you dont learn something in his class its because you didnt try. lots of work but worth it
Learned a lot. Students in law school swear by this guy.
HONESTLY I DONT KNOW WHY HE IS TEACHING AT MU. HE SHOULD BE TEACHING AT A LAW SCHOOL. YOU CANT JUST SHOW UP FOR CLASS AND EXPECT TO PASS THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN IN THIS CLASS. YOU MUST READ AND STUDY EVERY DAY, TESTS ARE VERY HARD. BUT YOU GATTA BUST YOUR BUTT OFF TO GET A GOOD GRADE. I MUST SAY HE IS A FAIR PROFF, GET A CHANCE TAKE HIM ESP. GOVT MA
I am in law school and I am so glad that I took Dr. Glenn's courses. If you want to prepare yourself as much as possible for law school, take American Jud. and either Con Law course with him. He's easily as smart as any of my law professors and he has far more passion for the material. Highly recommended.
Too concerned with being regarded as an intellectual. Lectures aren't clear, criticizes class for not coming to him for help and then when you go to him he basically belittles you for not understanding the material. Overly professional and uptight. But he does know what he's talking about and if you work in the class YOU WILL LEARN SOMETHING.
His class is very hard. You need to read as well as study everyday! Don't expect to show up for class and pass. He is a very intelligent man but very hard professor. His lectures are interesting but his test are hard! Make sure you study!!
almost too hard. He actually says he won't pass you if you aren't a serious law student. i busted my butt to pass i ended up withdrawing because i was getting a d. when he asked me why, i told him i wasn't passing,He was surprised to learn that i am going to law school. i might have actually passed had he known that i was going to law school
Great professor. He's tough, so FOLLOW THE SYLLABUS! And study EVERY night (for an hour AT LEAST) or you won't pass. Take good notes (voice recorder will help greatly). If I went to him for help he would have offered advice, but I was a lazy student (I withdrew bc I had a D). Just apply yourself. Ask questions, read, study--you'll pass.
he is one of the most interesting teachers i've ever had, i NEVER had trouble paying attention. he is EXTREMELY hard and if you don't do the readings, you will look stupid. his tests are hard and his class is very hard, but he is one of the most amazing teachers i've ever had. one thing - i am convinced it is impossible to get and A on his papers.
Con Law I, and II are great previews for what your first year of law school will be like. DO THE READING and STUDY. the exams are very difficult, but if you hit all the major points you can make your way through it. Just pay attention and seek help when needed. Check yourself at fall break to make sure you're not falling behind.
Glenn is a great professor but is definitely not and easy "A". He gives a one or two question quiz daily on readings to keep you honest, and you have to work for your grade. Essays on exams can be a challenge. all and all, you are guaranteed to know the material by the end of the semester.
A god amongst ants... he is the reason I know I will be ready for law school.
Great prof. Dr. Glenn is the perfect example of what every prof. should be. No matter who you are or what your grade, he is always willing to help to make sure the material is understood. HARD? Yes! It is worth every last word read in the several hunddred readings
Dr. Glenn is one of those profs who is truly passionate and knowledgable about his subject matter. He is very clear in explaining topics in lecture but a stickler on attendance. make sure you go to class. make sure you read the assigned pages and you'll be fine. Take good notes from the book because his tests are detailed. Overall Excellant profess
Love Glenn
Extremely condescending and rude. Spoke to us like we were all freshmen. Told us we're not in "13th grade" and went on to suggest that we're all obsessed with our cell phones. Snatched my textbook off my desk without asking. Excuse me, I don't snatch things out of your hands in the middle of class. I'm an adult and I expect to be treated like one.
My absolute favorite professor. His classes are hard, papers ridiculously hard, but I've never counted down the time in class because he is such a great professor. Seems mean at first, but is the nicest, funniest prof ever. Won't tolerate laziness or illogical arguments. I always feel amazing coming out of class after working hard, very rewarding
Dr. Glenn made the class worthwhile. He would not only clarify the textbook information, but he was extremely engaging and interesting. He does require that you come prepared to class by reading the book and taking notes. But if you can't handle that, please just drop out of college!
Glenn is a firm believer in college students teaching themselves. He wants you to read the book before class, and then discuss the material in class. THIS IS COLLEGE, its to be expected. If you don't like work, don't take him. But he is extremely knowledgeable, is not biased AT ALL, and does care for his students. Tough sure, but more than fair.
Professor Glenn is worth taking, he is serious and deffinitley believes in preparing for class which really helps you. He is very good aat preparing you for the real world. His exams were tough but if you actually work you can maintain a B...hard to get an A but it's possible. He really does care about his students
Glenn is amazing. Haven't been at MU for a few years and still think of him as one of the greatest influences in my life. Incredible professor who made me a much better student. Take him.
Test are very challenging and there are daily quizzes on the reading to encourage you to read it carefully, but it's totally worth it. He's probably a genius and is very passionate about the subject matter. Class was always interesting and I never found myself counting down the minutes. Inspired me to change my major to government.
Dr. Glenn is my favorite professor so far. He always answers any questions that we have in class. He has decent office hours. Everyday in class he challenges you to think outside the box. i recommend taking this class. Its hard work sometimes but you will definitely learn from it!
He is the best teacher at the University! Loves govt. and is one of the smartest guys I know. He rewards you based on participation and is extremely hard but fair. Must take one of his classes in your 4 years truly enjoyable
Glenn may come off as adolf hitler at the beginning of the semester but his strictness is what helpd me to pass his class and get my study priorities straight. Glenn enunciates and speaks clearly and directly. He sits in front of the class and never takes his eye off you the entire time and thats prob why he is so good. He knows his stuff.Take him!
AMAZING PROFESSOR!!! he is very strict-mandatory attendance, mandatory reading....but its college. he makes the subject matter interesting. covers the material in detail. one of my favorite things about him is he always takes time to answer any questions if you raise your hand. tests are challenging. if you want to learn, take him! highly recommend
DONT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! He is really smart and knows what he is talking about but this felt like a 400 level class. I missed class the first day cause it said it was in a different room and he yelled at me! He gives you quizs at the beginning of every class on the reading the night before, I would read and highlight the night before and still fail
If you are to take his class, expect to take it with utmost seriousness. However, no professor at this University has raised my interest level in a subject as much as Glenn. He is definitely passionate about what he is talking about and makes the class exciting. He will certainly help you become a better student in general too. No BS tolerance!!!
He is very strict about being on time to class and attendence. The class is based on 4 tests and 1 open ended question each class on the reading in the homework. Those open ended questions will equal a test grade at the end of the semester. He has great lectures and if you dont care about taking a challenging class then take this class
Literally the greatest professor I've had so far. The class is a lot of work but so worth it. He seems strict at first, but just expects you to do the work and be a good student. If you plan on getting an easy A, don't take this class. His enthusiasm and obvious passion for the subject he teaches makes the class fun and interesting.
If you don't like constant reading, don't bother taking this class. It's tough even for people interested in this subject. But if you are interested in Law and want to challenge yourself, Dr. Glenn is a great professor. He really makes you earn your grade. Be prepared for work. You will be glad you took the class at the end.
Dr. Glenn is amazing. He is very knowledgeable and articulate. Be ready to read and be prepared - before class! He takes it seriously. He assigns difficult tasks, but is great about meeting during office hours to help. Intimidating, but brilliant and I absolutely LOVE him and am taking all of the courses he teaches.
Dr. Glenn has very high expectations of his students. He's taught me to be a better student, and if you have any intention upon graduate level or doctoral work, he's a great professor to take. He helps build the skills you'll need later on. His classes are a lot of work, but he is a fair grader and is willing to help anyone who asks for it.
Kind of condescending, his lectures are good. Gives a lot of constructive criticism, and is not clear on some guidelines though. By far the toughest class I have ever taken at Millersville.
Glenn is tough. He warns students right from the start that his classes are a major challenge, there is no easy way through them. His classes will feel different from most everything youve ever had, 95% student led discussions. He is insanely helpful and you can learn a lot but just know your walking into the toughest class in your career.
Glenn is tough and his classes are a lot of work. He's very condescending in class but he means well. If you go to him for help he is very understanding and helpful. If you want to go to law school this is a great class to take. It is a TON of work and you must do the reading to know what is going on.
Attendance is mandatory. If you don't show up to class you will automatically miss out on points. Dr. Glenn is very knowledgeable and will give interesting lectures that will give you additional knowledge for tests. The tests were some of the hardest I've taken. You MUST do the reading for each class to have an understanding of the material.
Glenn was one of the best professors Ive had so far. He really brought the course to life. We had a quiz every morning on the reading from the night before. Hes a great teacher as well as adviser.
Glenn is condescending toward his students and will only blame the student for getting good grades, even if the whole class is doing poorly. Very vague on certain details and very strict to his syllabus. He has stimulating lectures but its not worth it to take due to his condescending nature and extremely tough grading nature.
Dr. Glenn is a very intelligent, thoughtful professor. He is one of the people in the law profession who preferred law school to practicing law. That should be a warning! Do not take this class "cuz it seems fun". It is difficult and labor intensive. Rewarding yes but if you are a senior and trying to stay afloat with your major, this will sink you
Despite what he says, this class is not like law school. In law school, for an exam, you are given a fact pattern then have to issue spot and apply the relevant rules from the cases you read. In this class, just like all your other formal education, you just regurgitate. In this class, there's also a paper that has extremely vague instructions.
IF ANYONE has a bad word to say about Dr. Glenn/his classes, they are most likely lazy or not cut out mentally for real work. By far the best professor on campus. Takes a bipartisan approach and gets you thinking both ways without even realizing it. I suggest con law 1&2 to everyone. Lectures are so engaging, the difficulty does not matter.
Dr. G is one of the best professors in the gov department--knowledgable, fair, and always available for extra help. His Constitutional Law classes were great prep for law school, and closely model a typical law school classroom experience. He has high expectations, which are made clear up front, but his classes developed my critical thinking skills
Dr. Glenn has to be the best teacher I've had at Millersville. He can often times get a bad wrap for what is perceived as an insane level of difficulty, but in reality, he's a great teacher who you can learn a lot from. The key to success in his class is to read, study, participate, and get to know him. If you do these things you'll do just fine.
Dr. Glenn is the best professor I've ever had. What they say about him is true - he's a really hard grader, but I learned more from him than from any other professor. His lectures are discussion-based, and they go deeper into the material you learn from the readings. He will happily answer any questions you have without being judgemental.
If you're not a reader, Glenn is NOT for you. You'll be reading and learning on your own first before every lecture. Also, if you're doing poorly (even if class majority is too), he'll blame you for it. Will let the class know that a majority are doing poor in numbers as well. QUIZZES EVERY CLASS PERIOD ON READING. Syllabus is ESSENTIAL for this
The worst professor ever. He wont tell you whats on the exam, u have to read the text book and figure it out. He usually doesnt let his students pass. Makes u feel stupid. Extremely hard grader, his exams are the worst. He straight up says if you care about ur gpa drop out. He gets pleasure when his kids fail. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS
Professor Glenn gives a quiz every class on material he has not covered in class yet and does not give any hints as to what it is on. no flexibility when it comes to exams, if you miss one you automatically fail, or at least that's what he told me. if you aren't good at learning everything from a book it will be very hard to do well on the quizzes
Was graded by 4 test, each 80 questions in 50 minutes. Extremely rude and lectures for the entire class. I found it impossible to learn anything from his lectures because they made no sense and there is no point in studying for exams becuase they are super specific questions no one would know.
Hands down the best and most difficult educator I have ever had so far. His teaching style isn't for everyone, strictly lecture plus assigned readings. You will NOT pass if you skip, or if you don't do the readings. I learned so much from him he genuinely cares about his students. Don't let reviews scare you, give him a chance.
I actually do enjoy how he has the class laid out and understand that he's trying to get us to learn the material. However, his quizzes feel impossible and it gets exhausting doing a ton of reading just to get the quiz wrong. I wish it was multiple choice or was worth less. It feels like a memory test who can just recall new information like that?
Dr. Glenn is my favorite professor and truly cares about his students. Quick with responding to emails and heavy on lectures. Reading every class night with a quiz in the morning during the next class. Tests are moderate if you do the reading and listen. BE THERE FOR CLASS.
Dr. Glenn is an incredible professor who truly cares about his students. If you do poorly in his classes then that is a reflection of you as a student. Stop complaining and actually put the work in, then maybe you would do well.
I wouldn't take him if you're not a political science major or something related. I had to take this course for an unrelated major and it's not a topic I've ever really paid attention to. Definitely think you need previous knowledge to do well in this class. Also, it's more time-consuming than most classes so good luck if you work on top of school!
His course will push you to be an accountable student. Gave a quiz question daily on ANYTHING that was from the assigned readings - read the textbook, take notes, and you'll be fine. There are only 4 exams, but making Quizlet sets to study up on all the lecture/textbook notes landed me B exam scores. His lectures are wonderfully knowledgable.
I am an A/B student with a 3.5 GPA. I did the daily readings, answered the daily homework questions, attempted the morning question, and studied (which I never do) for the longest tests I've seen at MU and barely passed. I'm a senior this year and I have never had to work so hard to pass a class in my life. He's a great teacher though. Super nice.
Honestly the worst teacher there is at Millersville university. Disrespectful in the way he talks to his students in office hours. No reason I am passing a 400 level class and had to drop his. NEVER TAKE HIS CLASSES
Glenn is a great teacher, but he is an incredibly tough grader. I managed a 3.5 GPA without ever studying for a test until I got to his classes (after his 4 classes, I'm a 3.1). I study every day!! It's not enough to memorize answers, you have to thoroughly understand everything because he will ask you to compare and contrast or make connections.
Dr. Glenn's class is challenging but worthwhile. His detailed lectures and quizzes on readings require dedication, but the material is engaging. unstuck ai and Quizlet were helpful for studying.
Had him my 1st semester & still think abt this class. Quiz from nightly reading at the start of class. STRICT NO PHONE POLICY. Grades mainly come from the 4 exams. Very interesting lectures, despite being a hard course, they always had me excited for class. If you want an ez G3, don't take this class. But if you want something challenging, do it.
Dr. Glenn is extremely passionate about the topics he discusses. He can quote the constitution by memory. His lectures are super interesting, but there's a quiz before each class on nightly reading. Expect more than 4 hours of reading and taking notes for each class. All of his exams are essay and short answer based.
glenn is a great person when it comes to teaching and is clearly so passionate about what he does which makes his classes easier to get through. i found that he wasn't really that accepting of my accommodations at first but through the semester let me use them. very book heavy, you will not make it through the class without buying the book.
I love Dr. Glenn. He is an amazing professor and is willing to help his students to succeed. He is also very accessible outside of the classroom and I highly recommend!!!
He's very discouraging to social work majors.
