He is totally unclear on his assignments, you won't get ANY of your assignment marks back until you are done with the course, he cannot keep order in a classroom, his feedback is useless, and he is an unfair marker. I'm Disappointed. If I had taken this instructor on my first term I wouldn’t be at Cap anymore.

Richard was horrible. His classes were incredibly boring and felt twice as long as they were. Mandatory attendance was ridiculous since he made the class so tedious. I'm horrified that he is still teaching.

Trust me guys don't listen to the other feedback. when we did our environmental scan he did not point out our mistake He put "really ?" as i looked through it he did not mention what i did wrong which could have helped me improve. Make sure you attend his classes b/c he takes attendance EVERY class unless theres guest speaker. Midterm was fairly easy because answers were either right or wrong. (everything you need to study for is on moodle) But he will get you on his assignments (enviro scan) and kill your GPA there. Classes are slideshows avail. on moodle.

POOR TEACHER AND POOR CLASS

Problems with this teacher: does not give grades back in any kind of timely manner (I'm talking months-- disrespectful to students doing the work), is very unclear on expectations (don't be afraid to tell students what you are looking for, Richard!), uses class time ineffectively (hardly a thing that we were tested on was covered in class).

Lectures were long and pointless as he did not cover any material in class that was on the final or midterm .No review for midterm or final either. Good luck getting any feedback for your assignments or a clear outline for what he wants for your paperspresentations. Do yourself a favour and take the class with another professor.

Useless powerpoints, doesn't outline exams, rarely responds to emails quickly. We didn't even get to see our midterm exam (marks on moodle but we didn't see the actual exam where we could look at what we got wrong). Take the class with someone else.

Richard Hill is a nice guy and really loves advertising but he is awful at explaining it. He doesn't respond back to emails, he hardly explains what he wants and then when you ask for more clarification he thinks you weren't listening. You literally have to wing every single assignment he gives you because of this. Avoid his class!!

worst teacher ever. did not give any assignments or tests back. did not know any marks before writing the final besides our midterm. we didnt even get to see our midterm. for the final project he expects you to act like an actual advertising agency and put 40 hours into the project. the project had vague criteria and he expected u to read his mind

He is so vague at everything, when I spent 6 hours doing the homework and write 4 pages, his feedback was "This makes no sense". I highly recommend you to avoid his class.

Richard is one of the worst teachers I have had in University. Every class was an hour and a half of listening to a boring monotone lecture and by the end you don't retain any information. All of the projects didn't have enough of an outline so it felt like we were on our own just guessing what he wanted. Never taking another course with him again.

He is lack of social skill make students not feel nice when he is talking to students. If you are ready to take marking class. PLEASE AVIOD HIS CLASS!!! Terrible Professor.. Worst in my entire University career.. If you like vague assignments, he is the guy for you. Expect minimalist outlines and even if you follow the outline he still literally berates you with his "ramblings". DO NOT expect a good grade EVER unless you are younger woman in tight clothes. Richard is a hard marker and isn't clear on instructions. His lectures are all over the place. Makes you do a final project where the winning team doesn't have to write the final. The project takes a month to complete and it's the most stressful, hardest thing I've had to do for a second year elective course. Avoid him if you have the chance.

Let me start off by saying he does not reply to emails, which is quite ridiculous given it is 2018. Textbook is a must, as his lectures consist of useless power-point slides which he never finishes teaching in class due to his poor organizational skills. His assignments are poorly explained and is incredibly hard at marking them. Avoid him please.

Richard is the least helpful prof I've ever had the displeasure of encountering. He assigns projects with very little time to do them and does not tell you how to do them. He grades you by what you didn't do, when there was no rubric and is extremely critical. The final report... you need to be in a good group or you will fail.

Richard is the type of teacher that tends to pick class favourites. He is the type of teacher that thinks that good feedback is to demoralize his students. You can try so hard in his advertising class and still not get noticed or appreciated for your hard work. He will rank his students not based on their work but based on how much he likes them.

Worst prof I've ever had PERIOD. I really should have trusted the reviews on here before enrolling.

The worst professor Ive had thus far at CapU. His class is completely disconnected; he assigns projects (predominately group), and never really checks on people. The in-class sessions are useless. If his droning doesnt lull you to sleep, the lectures are completely useless when it comes to actually learning the content that youre tested on.

If you are looking for stressful, tough, and useless teacher, then choose Richard Hill. He does not teach; you should study the book. He assigns to do presentation and they are useless and nonsense. Hes kinda professor who is not willing to give feedback to students and when students visit his office hours to get feedback individually and he use to give same feedback to every students and his exams are really tough and hes tight marker.

Does not make things easy for you. The whole term passed final exams done and he graded my second assignment yesterday. Not helpful. Unclear about what he wants in assignments and does not go over them in class at all. Quiz 5 to 13 all have same end date (space them out). Will give quiz to do before instead of after lecture. Try avoiding him.

Please, please save yourself, DO NOT take his courses. His lecture is very dry, just read from slides and contribute nothing else. The most disrespectful teacher I have had yet at Cap. He is rude and threatens to kick students out of the class even if they turn cameras off for 1 minute. You have to request to use the washroom even though it is online. He also expects you to know everything about selling before the class and you need to teach yourself 90% of the material.

Never seen such an uptight, rude and disrespectful all my time. Asked a simple question and proceeds to reply to me major sass and attitude. His lectures are alright since it was an online class. Good teacher none the less if you decide to not talk to him.

Had a terrible experience with this professor. I am a A/B student from the last 3 years of my education & he was the first ever to give me an F. Explained I needed this credit to graduate and he had no consideration. Is completely unfair with marking & persistently embarrasses students in class. He failed half the students in my semester HORRIBLE!!

The professor is very strict, with limited flexibility or openness to communication. Feedback can be harsh, even for small mistakes, which discourages participation. In the online course, group project guidance was minimal, and teams were not well organized, making collaboration difficult.

Worst professor ever , he failed my midterm beacuse of a conectivity issue of 30 seg , couldnt resolve anything, worst comunication ever , he blocks the acces to any material , powerpoint presentation , textbook , everyhting , classes are not recorded, if you dont have photgraphic memory , you cant pass

i do not know how he still has a job. He once took my group into his office to scream at us about our sub-par submission. Never seen this before and his attitude severely scarred my university experience.
