Good teacher. Made the class fun. I would recommend him

He's a very good instructor. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants concepts explained well. He's friendly and helpful and willing to go out of his way to explain anything that isn't completely understood.

Great Professor. He is very laid-back, but highly interested in students grasping the taught material. The class is interesting and easy if you attend. The concepts are important and will help in your professional life. His personal examples help to bring the text full circle. I would recommend this Professor without question.

You need to study for the tests since the multiple choice questions are not as easy as you would think. If you study well, you will get a good grade. Teacher gives very interesting background on management from his own experience and is informative on current events in the business world.

Awesome teacher, a major project, a team project and 5 nuggets, that are due in the class in the first few weeks. project is some major work start on it early. Dr Kelso jokes around a lot and personal stories are hilarious. interesting lectures, i never wanted to miss his class and i dont think i've ever missed his class.

The large paper is quite a bit of work but if you spread it out over the semester and don't wait until the last minute you'll do fine. Would definitely recommend - Great Professor!!!

This professor was amazing and cares about his students. His class is mandatory but it is entertaining and he is a fun teacher. If you don't get a good grade in his class you were trying to fail!!! His project was long but not too hard. I 100% recommend him and would take him again for any class!

I absolutely loved Dr. Kelsos class. He has a different way of teaching the GEB class then what the other professors teach. We had hands on learning experience that gave us the opprotunity to use real life experiences. He is funny and keeps you interested in the class! Take him!

You must take Dr. Kelso if he is teaching! He is now teaching at the Lakeland campus. He is a wonderful man, funny and loves to educate his students. He has a different way of teaching his GEB class which made it more helpful for me since it was more hands on. You will come out of his class having learned & you won't want to miss any classes either

This teacher is so hard now. He is a good teacher, but still he is far from easy.

This class was a joke. Dont have to show up, only use the books for case studiesno work expect for 3 tests. Sure it was easy, but I didnt learn anything. Got by by just studying test study guides 3 days before the tests, didnt even bother going to class more than half the semester because class time was so useless.

This professor is funny and really knows how to bring "real world" experience to the material he teaches. Though attendance wasn't mandatory, everyone always showed up to listen to his awesome lectures.

Kelso is extremely helpful and really enjoys teaching and helping his students. The material was a lot of information, but he has a great character and keeps you interested. Does anything he can to help you learn. Awesome teacher! Wish I had more classes with him.

I guess he used to be a more lenient teacher because he is far from easy now. He knows this is the course that allows one to graduate, but he still requires more work than some of the other teachers. He is passable, but don't take it with a heavy load.

Such a funny guy! I enjoyed his personality and his class was easy. Pointer: get a head start on assignments! they can be hard if you wait til the last minute. And you have to have the book becuse he assigns case studies. The other assignments are a large group project, and a comprehensive final exam with 5/6 essay questions.

Definitely one of the best teachers for GEB4890. Attendance isn't mandatory but you'll want to go to every class. He's a funny guy and assignments are pretty easy. Overall, this class was great. Out of every class I've taken these last four years, this class was my favorite.

Helpful with answering questions, easy grading system, no exams, most of the grade is homework and group projects. He earned that chili pepper.

The initial weekly assignments can be done in half an hour or so, the simulation is a great way to learn and he makes it fun.

Dr. Kelso was great! He draws from a lot of personal professional experience and makes the class fun. Tells a lot of jokes during the lecture to keep students interested. Loved the group project and he grades easily with that. Simulation was so fun, makes the class fly by. DEFINITELY TAKE THIS CLASS.

AWESOME professor. Biggest thing I took away from his class is that he actually cares about his students & helping them get a job after graduation. He created a very comfortable learning environment which was great. Only downside was having to buy a textbook that was used for only like the first 3 weeks. Other than that, I definitely recommend him!

Dr. Kelso is simply the best teacher I have ever had in my academic career. He clearly sets the expectations, and is always available. His lectures are hysterical, and he keeps all subject matters entertaining. You do have to write a fair amount in the class, but the work is quite easy

Professor Kelso makes the course Strategic Management as clear-cut as possible. The assignments consist of reading assignments, experiential exercises, group based work on a business case as well as a business simulation. Overall, I found Professor Kelso's lectures engaging and hilarious, I would recommend him to any business student.

Professor Kelso is awesome, I loved his course and the simulation is pretty fun! Make sure you have a good group and you will be fine, start the paper in the beginning of the course, as well as your 3hr service. He is very helpful to graduate students, and no tests. You only use the textbook first half of the course, then its all simulation.

They say saved the best for last and that is exactly what Dr Kelso is-THE BEST!!! It would have been nice if all of my instructors was as helpful as him and made their lectures interesting to sit through. I highly recommend taking him

As other people said, they saved the best for last. It was hard to get into his class; that's how popular he is at USF. Try to pick a team with diverse majors (and who have more than a pulse). Don't put off your projects; do them early. Get your sevice learning done early (hint-Feeding Tampa Bay). Kelso is accessible and approachable and so HOT. :)

Kelso is the best teacher to take for the Capstone Strategic class for all business majors. He keeps the class alive with his jokes and is very knowledgeable. Will always take time to help you. Class is all based on group projects 3 of them in total. Make sure you have a good group and you are guaranteed an A.

Very educated professor always eager to learn more about up and coming topics. His class is very simple, you show up and put a little effort in for the assignments to get an A. Pick a good project group. Show up early (8am sharp) or he won't let you sign in after class has begun. But he's very humorous and resourceful.

He's pretty fun and is very well educated on subjects. You can talk to him about most anything and he'll listen and be there for you.

I attended both UCF and USF and have taken multiple extra classes. This is my last class in college and I can by far say this guy is the best teacher I have ever had in college. Strategic Management/Decision Making required the completion of a rather difficult simulation but Professor Kelso provided great feedback and assistance. I took his class for strategic management and he is the best professor to take for this class. There was only one group project presentation & it is very simple! Professor Kelso is one of my favorite professor I've had in my time at USF. He has a great sense of humor and is able to keep our attention throughout the class. This is especially high praise for an 8:00am class! As for the class itself, it's super easy and there aren't superfluous assignments.

Richard is the most caring professor I have ever had! You need to show up in order to pass because he takes attendance every class. Also, the whole class is basically all group work, so make sure to get a good group. I mean, you have to take this class to exit so mines well take it with the best!

Professor Kelso is the go to teacher for GEB4890. The big parts of the class are his Disruptive Tech Presentation & his CapSim Project. Both are group projects so you need a good team to do well. Professor Kelso is one of the best professors at USF. Mandatory attendance but classes are interesting, and the simulation is surprisingly fun. None of the assignments are hard if you put in a little effort and submit everything on time. He's also very helpful outside of the classroom, and will write you a reference letter even after graduation.

Taking this class with professor Kelso was very smart. I had to drive for more than two hours twice a week but it was so worth it. He makes the class a lot of fun. Yes, there are papers but compared to what other professors are expecting from you, Dr. Kelso is very easy to talk to and he explains so well that you don't have to worry about them.
