Professor Kincaid's course was textbook heavy, speech heavy, and overall a decently easy course (as long as you keep up with the work-load). He made a point of making the classroom a safe place to share ideas, and welcomed people to ask questions and share their thoughts. Overall a good course to take regardless of your major.

Professor Kincaid is an excellent professor! If you shoe up to class and do the chapter essays, its an easy A! Chapter essays are real easy. He is caring and inspirational.

If you have to take speech to graduate, you have to take Kincaid. He is the BEST professor you could ever have. You have a 3 minute speech once a week over the designated chapter in the textbook. Directions could not be clearer, and as long as you try your best it doesn't matter if you freeze or trip up you will be just fine.

He is not only incredibly straightforward with what he expects, but also establishes the grading criteria right away and with great detail. This is honestly an easy class. the hardest part is talking in front of the whole class but Professor Kincaid makes sure that everyone gets plenty of practice presenting each day before the big speech at the end. Everything is well organized so, you know exactly when things are due, how to do them, etc. I highly recommend taking his class.

Every week, you'll read a chapter (it's relatively short, and you don't have to read all of it), take notes on it, and give a short speech about a topic in the chapter. Sometimes this speech is replaced by a group skit. He also grades your notes on the chapters. The final might be a little difficult but if you follow directions, you'll be fine.

No matter where you stand as far as public speaking, it's a confidence booster for sure. The professor is patient and is willing to help in areas that are lacking. His lectures are typically pretty interesting, and the group skits were something I always looked forward to. Definitely recommend this class
