He doesent lecture on what readings he assigns for you. lectures in class are entertaining,but you dont have to come to class. You wont miss much. His tests are kind of tricky.

He is very clear, interesting and nice. He is friendly and his class is fun. All his tests come out of the book quiz questions and his study guides, so if you do those, you'll get an A.

His lectures are interesting and fun, he gives help if you need if, and he always gives study guides for tests. 90% of test ?s come from the book, so if you use the workbook to study you should do very well.

never went to class. did term paper, and just studied the study guide that came with book. 80-90% of exam q's are word for word from that study guide. easy A, and doesn't take attendance (aud. class)

really easy class. tells interesting and somewhat long-winded stories about his personal life but they pass the time.

i liked the conversations in class...he taught a lot about life and relationships...though less then 80-90% of the test questions are from the study guide...you relaly do have to read...

Good teachers and a better person. Does not teach from a left-wing perpective... no political implicatons involved in his class... trust me, I maybe the only conservative in this school. HIGHLY RECCOMEND

ENG 101 is a class.

He is funny and talks about interesting things. The tests are easy if you follow the study guide. The grading scale is also very low. The only thing that is time consuming is a 10 page reflection paper, but its very easy.

going to class is pointless, he doesn't lecture on anything important but he does ask random questions that he talked about in class. Just get the study guide and the book and use the online quises as a guide line. He mostly talks about his life but okay class.

Very clear, very helpful, and fairly interesting, but I didn't learn much. Attendence is important, lecture notes are not. Everything on the test is from the book and study guide. It's a pretty easy book to read so it's not bad. Not my favorite teacher ever but he's OK.

I thought this class would be easy, its not. Well, its not hard, but do the readings and come to class. His tests are directly from readings and lecture. I made the mistake of not reading. He's very funny. The class is huge, so its hard to get one on one work. Overall- I reccommend. :)

you don't even have to go to class, luctures aren't on test, but does ask some questions from lectures on test. test's are ok, not to hard. but he is a great teacher, very funny, not to boring. over all great, great teacher. easy class, recomended.

TAKE HIM! if your looking for easiness and at the same time, learning something, TAKE HIM! he's not boring, tries to make the class fun and the TESTS are EASY as long you read the chapters before hand! u'll like his class and sure pass! there was only one 10 pg paper to turn in but it was easy b/c it was based on personal experiences. he's GOOD!

enjoyed this class very much. it felt more of a seminar/talk show than a class. learned a lot of useful information, including the paper which makes you learn more about yourself. definitely recommend this class!

Very nice guy. Just skim the reading and show up to class. He is so nice and funny too. He is a great person and his teaching style is so relaxed which makes his class a pleasure to go to. Ten page paper but once it's done you learn a lot about yourself. Would take another class with him anytime.

I took his class over the summer. He's a very good professor. It's an interesting subject and he makes it enjoyable to be in class. Since the summer session was 5 weeks long we didn't do the paper that he usually assigns, just 4 tests. The 2nd test was a lil tricky, but the rest are simple. EASY "A" yet you still learn alot! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

He's a funny man. Pretty much keeps you interested in class. I took a summer course and passed. He's not that hard. You could not go to half his classes and pass. He's cool

Great teacher, cares about the student. Interesting discussions during class. He gives a study guide for each test thats really helpful. Use it and you will get an A. His lectures dont help on the test but they are still great, i enjoyed going to every class. Take him if you can!

He is a really nice guy and makes class fun but doesn't give much lecture at all. Most of class time is like therapy. He interacts with the class at all which makes it really fun and interesting but doesn't really go over the book or notes, your kinda on your own there. He gives a study guide for each test which makes it very helpful.

His class is interesting, although I found most of it to be common sense. 90% of the exam material he doesn't cover in lecture, you must read the text. He does give a very useful study guide though, and in the review sessions the TA gave specific page numbers. Overall I enjoyed the class just make sure you do your reading.

BORING! I mean the material can be interesting at times, and discussions are often inticing, but he gets to doing too much talking and not enough teacing. the book does most of the teaching, and in fact, that's prolly why you don't even need to go to class! easy grading, sure... not sure you'll learn anything though as everything is of common sense

the EASIEST class i've ever taken. All that nonsense about reading, forget it. Study the StudyGuide, it's the test itself. Dr. Mac is the coolest professor. It took me three hours to write the paper (10pages) it's all about your life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone who wants an easy A!

This is a great professor. He is very funny, and keeps his lectures entertaining. The assignments are easy, and you get a good grade if you simply complete them. He's an expert on the subject, and if you go with an open mind, you'll learn a lot of information for everyday life. The videos he uses in class are hilarious, you'll laugh till you cry!!

Highly recommand this class. Very interesting and not that hard. Test are very easy because he gives you great study guides. There is one 10 pg paper which is not hard, you write about yourself. TAKE CLASS

Easy class. Funny professor. Lectures aren't boring no idea why people think it's boring. Can learn a lot about family lifestyles over the past century. Study guides are given and if you study those, pretty much easy 85% of the exam as the 15% of each exam are from the lecture. 10 page essay is a joke quit crying about it people. Easy A.

He's a riot! His lectures are funny as well as informational. Excellent professor. Everyone should take this class, regardless of their major. Easy A if you read assigned pages. Those who complain must be very lazy. I highly recommend this professor!

He is sooo nice, funny, intelligent, amusing & "with it." Guaranteed success in his class. Don't buy the book. Just his study packet. It's only a couple of bucks. Make sure u bring it 2 class EVERYDAY cuz he collects dittos from it in class. Also, go 2 class cuz 10 to 15 lecture ?'s are on the exams. It will screw ur grade if u miss them. Have fun!

was a pretty cool and fun course. u didnt really have to show up to class at all...just study the study guide. but he does ask about 12 in class questions on the test, so if u only show up to class on test day, tehn u will miss those questions. but u dont need the book, just the yellow paperback. he is a nice funny guy. super easy course! take it!

Such a nice guy. Really funny and very fair. If you show up to class, read the booklet with the worksheets, you will be more than prepared for his tests. An enjoybale class which teaches "real life" stuff you will apply everyday. Loved it.

Great man. Very interesting life histroy. Class is fun as well as borring at times but you will learn a lot. Easy and very usefull class. His study guide is very usefull. Reading the book, attending the class and listening to him will get you an easy A. I was getting a B because I wasn't reading the book much but my attendance got me an A.

Tells corny jokes but is a very objective teacher. His lectures often go on tangents and dont buy the book; buy the workbook, though. He is a nice guy and a great teacher

Really laid back professor. Makes class interesting and worthwhile. If you study the handout study guides, you will do fine on the tests. Easy class if you pay attention and don't slack off. Paper due in the beginning of semester so students don't have to worry about papers being due before finals. Highly recommended teacher!!!

Read the study guide! Bring it to class and you'll have at least a B! You get one paper and 4 (I think) tests! All you have to do is spend a couple hours the night before studying the study guide for the test, a quick review in the morning and you're set! The paper is also very easy, just spend time on it and don't procrastinate! Take this class!

Dr. Mac is cool. In an older guy kind of way. He loves his kids and isn't hard to figure out. He's been through it all, including divorce. I sit in the front row as I find it easy to focus on what he's saying. Study guide= Test!

He's awesome! I actually enjoyed going to class. The information is valuable and the world makes more sense. I mainly used the packet for studying and I got B's on the tests. He also asks 10 questions of what was talked about in class so it's good to show up.

He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He understood what it was to be a college student. Gives you all the answers to his tests. One ten page paper, but it is ridiculously easy. His class was a complete lecture class and he has a few in class assignments. But for the most part, easy A. Take this class, seriously you'll love it.Highly rec.

340 CLASS, SUPER EASY & SUPER INTERESTING! ATTENDANCE NOT MANDATORY BUT I LIKED GOING. NO TEXTBOOK USE, JUST THE READER HE ASSIGNS FOR YOU TO BUY WHICH CONTAINS STUDY GUIDES FOR EVERY TESTS. BASICALLY HAND FEEDS YOU THE MATERIAL. HE'S REALLLLLLLLLY EASY.

All of the answers to the test are in the study guide. I made the mistake of actually reading the book and did worse than when I only went off the study guide. He does not lecture, he only has presentations from outside sources and class discussions. If you enjoy teaching yourself, this is the class for you. He's nice, but I do NOT recommend him.

The most enjoyable class of my semester. I actually liked going, and he was so interesting. Tests were super easy... I think there were only 4 in the semester, and he gives you a study guide with the answers to all the questions. There was a 10pg paper, but I finished it in about 2 hours. EASY! All in all, great class, great professor, easy grade.

This class was a waste. I took it expecting to learn important things about marriage and family relations. Instead, all he did was ramble on about random things, show us his family pictures on vacation. 4 tests, one bogus paper and that's it. I used to go to class every session but not anymore. Don't buy the book, just get the reader for tests.

He's a really REALLY easy professor. You don't need the book TRUST ME. You can get an A if you just study and memorize the definitions on the study guide that's in the reader. Just study that and You will be fine. Also, help him after class and ask if he needs help. He gives out extra credit and it helps.

Dr.Mac, Is seriously one of the best teachers he understands all of us college people and has a great heart, In general for all of his students. Fun, smart guy. Best Teacher deffiently recommend!

GREATEST TEACHER & PERSONALITY!

I liked his class. It's very easy but I did learn things. I'm a psych major, so most of the things I already knew from previous classes. He's nice and grades well.

I'm a biology major, so this class was a nice change of pace. This prof is extremely entertaining! And while most of his lectures had nothing to do with family and marriage relations, they were interesting none the less. I would highly recommend this class for a GE requirement. Easy A.

Great class! You learn a lot and I mean a lot. Class is not mandatory, but a couple of his in class lecture information will be at the end of each test. The paper was so easy, if you follow instructions. I got 100% on it and wrote it the night before. Read the book before the test and read the definitions.

Professor Macdonald is really passionate about what he teaches. He gives a detailed study guide for the four exams (included in course reader). There's one paper, four exams, and a few worksheets. Very understanding and very helpful. And covers a lot of interesting topics!

He is a great guy and very passionate about the material but his lectures felt lacking. Only a few subjects from the study guide were covered every test period and only the last 10 questions on the tests related directly to his lectures. Everything else came straight out of the study guide. Don't bother with the book. Easy class.

Oh my goodness do not even think twice about taking Dr. MacDonald! The class is super easy. There's only 1 paper and it's super easy and requires no research whatsoever. There's no cumulative final, the tests are based off of lecture and the study guide that he gives you, and his lectures aren't too boring. Study his study guides you'll be fine!

Seriously one of the best professors ever! I loved him so much he made me want to change my major to FCS, which I did! You don't get better than this guy!

It's pretty much an easy GE class. 4 exams, a paper, and some worksheets. Each exam is based on the study guide (which is pretty much the stuff in the textbook) and whatever he talked about in the lecture. The paper was easy. 10 pgs and he pretty much tells you what to write in each section. Overall, I recommend this class and this professor.

Really easy class.He gives study guides for all four test and also has extra credit worksheets but you must attend class because they will be done randomly. Hes a great professor and keeps class time interesting! Take this class!

MacDonald is awesome. He gives you study guides for all the exams, and also they are all from the textbook. and only one 10pg paper that is like a self-reflection paper. must attend class to get extra credit for worksheets. Easy class and very interesting too!

His last semester so not like anyone would be reading this probably, but a great sweet guy. He has 8 daughters too!
