You 've 2 texts to read, 10 quizez, 2 exams (mid and final), many homeworks. You 've a paper & website 2 create. I took him ONLINE, made B on exams and still pulled an A for the final grade.

I took his class hybrid (half online, half in person). You have to purchase an additional program, on top of 2 text books. I would say the work he assigned was 50% actually important information and 50% busy work/ not important stuff that waste time. This is a class with a very heavy work load, I would never take him again.

I took EIS in spring 2014 in person. At first I was skeptical about the work load which it is a lot, but if you do it you will receive a high grade. He is not a hard grader. Stick with him and you can make an easy A. At least I did and I did not put forth any effort I just did the assignments he asked for. I had a few zeros and still received an A.

Dr. McMahon is very demanding. But very fair. If you don't want to do the work, don't come to school. Yes it is a lot of work, but so is WORK. I would recommend him to anyone. Thanks Doc.

This class will give you more bang for your buck! The amount of workload is equivalent to taking 3 classes. Information regarding assignments are nicely spread out on various location so finding them is like finding gold. All jokes aside, taking his class is the worst mistake you can make for your academic career.

Agree that there is a lot of homework for this class, but keep up and submit on time and it's any easy grade. He gives an opportunity for extra credit, but only at the beginning of the course - take it and it might save you a headache later. He also gives you extensions to submit your homework, submit it or you won't pass this class.

If you want to get a C-D to ruin your GPA and have more stress than you can ever imagine, take this class. I had a 4.0 GPA,now I don't. If you do it, good luck you're going to need it, ha

You could stare at a rock and learn more about MIS than you ever could in McMahons class. Lots of busy work. No substance. Lots of papers, which he grades according to how he feels that day. He is a nice guy, but can be strict. Horrible, expensive, noneducational simulation comprised most of the class. EIS dept needs a serious adjustment. RUN!

The workload for this class was ridiculous; with that being said it is a college course so you should expect to do some work. After completing the course I think of everything as a completion grade. Dr. McMahon gives plenty of opportunities for make up work. Oh, and all the grading criteria can be found in the syllabus.

Very unclear with directions. People were literally laughing at their mutual confusion. Also he's not good with questions he can't predict... Not a bad person though.

First of all, I'm majoring in EIS, and this to me is a VERY TIME CONSUMING class. Probably the most work I've done in any college level course. That being said, if you do your work, you will do well. He gives you grades based on effort, not achievement. Look up VLC Learning, you will become very familiar with it if you take him.
