He appeared well-mannered at first, but then a few weeks into the semester, he started using the lecture time as his soap box so he could rant and rave about the current government and the war with Iraq. In doing so, he did not have time to talk about the actual material we were covering.

Tests are word for word from the book and lecture notes. Very easy if you do your reading. The lectures are interesting because he talks about his prior service in the Marine Corp and relates current events to what we are learning in class. Very good class for learning new things not in textbook.

Millsap is one of my favorite professors. I loved going to class to hear about his life stories and lectures. The class is easy as long as you take notes from his lectures. About 40% of each test comes from information in the book. He gives an extra credit opportunity that can boost your final grade by nearly a whole letter grade. Take his class!

Prof Milsap teaches in a very weird way. Don't get me wrong, every prof is different and I loved this class, it was just so basic. His tests are based on lectures and the chapter reviews. My extra cred bumped me from a low B to a low A, DEF worth the effort. He is such an interesting man, loved listening to what hes gotten to do in his life.

Unclear during his lectures. A great man who is extremely nice and certainly knows what he is talking about. If you love political science, then this is your guy. He has many stories that he will drone on about. These stories are extremely interesting in nature, but prove to be useless on his test. Only Four test wth a non-cumulative.

Professor Millsap would be a treat for anyone interested in political science. He is very well versed in everything he speaks about and has many stories to tell if you're willing to listen. But if you're like me, an average student who is mandated to take the class, it's not easy and may seem boring. The class is a long one.

Professor Millsap is literally the most interesting person in the world. He has done everything you could think of. If you care about politics, which you should, he will inform you to do many things that will help you get a political career. He's also really approachable and funny. Definitely take his class!

He had long, boring lectures and constantly went off topic. Suddenly you'd get bombarded with exams in which you question when he every mentioned anything covered in the exams. His supposed "test aid" aka his website is SUPER disorganized and frustrating and his grading is ridiculously harsh. I had to do the extra credit to get from a D+ to B-

Millsap was an excellent instructor and wildly entertaining. One could easily pass the class by half listening to the lecture

He really is a great professor, his lectures may be a little scrambled at times, but overall there interesting to listen to. He gives out reading questions with the chapter DO THEM , they will be on the test exactly as they are written. Although attendance isn't mandatory I would highly recommend you go. Take him he's fun and insightful. :)

Incredibly inefficient, hard to understand, and hard to pay attention to. Simply dumps large, repetitive mountains of information all over his own site and PowerPoints, when a large part of his lectures is not necessary to remember (tangents), but requires that you hang on to his every word to tell the two apart. Harsh, but please consider changing

Millsap is so interesting that He tends to go into his personal life too much, but pay attention to his lectures because half of each test comes from them. There are four multiple choice tests but he drops the lowest one and offers a 25 point extra credit project. Thetes review for each test that is The other half of the test. Great Guy. Take him.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU ARE NOT GOOD AT INDEPENDENT STUDY! This class requires you to study ALOT outside of class. His lectures are pretty boring, and hard to pay attention to. He also gives TONS of homework, and reviews that are 65-125 questions PER CHAPTER! Do not recommend this professor to incoming freshmen. You must be prepared!

MIllsap is a great guy who's truly interested in his field, but damn, he loves to talk about himself. A lot of his lectures delve into personal anecdotes that are ultimately irrelevant, or humblebrags about he knows X senator and Y lobbyist, etc. Doesn't use blackboard but his own frustrating and wildly disorganized site for online material.

He was a super chill professor but still amazing at teaching you. I learned more about government in that semester than I ever did in any other class. He can go off on tangents for a little bit but it's fun to just listen to him talk about it.

Millsap is super funny and interesting but his tests are super hard. He gives "study guides" that are actually just like 100 questions you have to look up the answers for and then he'll choose like 20-25 of those to be on the test. And the questions themselves are super hard to find in the textbook. Definitely makes you work for your grade.

The most I've ever studied for a class. If you skip class, you won't know what PP slides or info he might be excluding in the midterm/final and that can add hours onto your study time. He's extremely passionate about political science though.

This was the worst class I've ever taken. His powerpoints are so long and unclear, he puts up hundreds of links and expects you to read them all and remember everything. He doesn't use Blackboard instead he has a confusing ill-designed website where it's impossible to find anything. Nice person, bad professor

The best History professor ever! Engaging and very helpful. If you find this prof. awful, perhaps you are the awful one. Seriously, he is straightforward. You study, you pass. You sleep and not pay attention--and not show up-, that is on you. You can get an A in this class, but you do need to pay attention.
