easy tests,tests are basically key terms on bottom of page in text,

sometimes scatters, 4 test all 25% of grade, extra book used

hes actually really funny and his class is intresting and easy to understand

everything from the book, no real need to go to class.

Very Helpful professor. Everything is straight from the text, ie: attendance optional. Classes are laid back.I would take his class again

What a great class! He is very fair and writes notes on the board before every class. Just show up and take notes and you will do fine.

I was getting a C, missed the final, still pass don't have to take the class again, still pass,fullfills my GE requirement, don't have to go to class still pass I'll take that grade a D with pride, my only one I'm finally done, still pass

Awesome guy! He's really helpful and knows his stuff. It's crazy how Towson got such a talented guy to teach here.

THIS PROFESSOR IS VERY FUNNY AND HELPFUL. THE TOPICS ARE INTERESTING. DID NOT WANT TO TAKE THIS CLASS AT FIRST BUT NOW I AM GLAD THAT I TOOK IT. TEST ARE FAIR. STUDY THE VOCABULARY WORDS IN EACH CHAPTER AND YOU WILL DO FINE.

I think he is a great teacher. He taught me a lot and his tests are fair as long as you take notes and study some. He gets side tracked, but I think he is interesting. I don't understnad why people don't like him or think he is boring or hard. Those people just need to stop being so lazy.

great teacher! way easy. no attendence all the tests are just bold words from the text. final is just a combo of the first three tests. easiest A ever. he rambles alot, but all in all hes a great guy and will learn from him. def. take him!

Pretty funny guy, and very smart. Always super nice to me, even offered me a parking spot at his house for when I drive to Annapolis! I learned a lot from him and he will help you with anything. Very interesting guy. Take the class, you'll learn a lot.

he is such a great teacher!!! he is slightly insane but really nice and totally willing to work with you to get your grade up. the day before the tests he'll practically give you the answers to the questions- so go to class! plus he always has interesting stories to tell! the best prof ever!

He is an amazing teacher! By far my absolute favorite prof in this university. Smart, passionate and experienced. His voice is kind of funny, but you can not help but love him. His test are easy!! All you have to do is study vocab! DEF RECOMMEND!!!! Actually wants you to do well! def take!!!!!!!!!

He does a little Government bashing and name dropping (he apparently knows Bob Dole and lots of other famous political figures). But he's extremely funny, quite a character. He really knows his stuff and tests are fairly simple. Take him.

Easy Class...got a B out of it. He amuses me because he is a little weird...lol...lectures entire time..no class participation needed...Vocab should be learned for tests (3 and a final-accumulative) Notes/key infor needed are written on the board daily. Short book (skimmed it) and a few movies to watch in class...take him for a B or A

Class is pretty easy...Dr. Mitchell is a little quirky but makes class entertaining. I enjoyed his class a lot. His little quips and jokes made this 8'o clock class not as painful...Def take him.

Very clear prof. Yes, he rants alot, but he is amusing to watch. he actually wants you to do well, and so waht if he bashes the govt? I'm a hard core GOP but he still is brilliant and knows what he is talking about.

Pretty good. Helps you out when he can. Not a tough grader. You should do well in the course if you just remember the terms and skim the monograph.

He is willing to help you if you ask. He's an ok teacher, kinda goes off on political rants that have nothing to do with the class- you really need to read the book paying attention in class will not help you. If he sees that you are willing to do the work he will compensate you for that- even if you get bad grades on the exams.

I took this class as an elective, although I have no interest in Anthropology. Mitchell was awesome and funny. There's only 3 tests and the final and he reviews everything. The only reason I used the textbook was to get definations. Attendence was not mandatory. He was very helpful and is very intelligent.

Good teacher. Very knowledgeable but goes off on very long political tangents randomly during his lectures. Three tests that cover book vocabulary definitions t/f only. Reviews everything the class before. Easy grader that wants to see all of his students succeed. Checks attendance randomly. Read the book and it's an easy A.

Easy professor. Three exams and the final and he reivews for all of them. I only used to book to llok over definations. If you take notes and go to the review day, you'll be fine.

Awesome professor one of my top two hands down with Kanji Takeno. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you show up youll get a B at least on the test he tells you all the info and is a great lecturer keeps the class interested all the time definately a good class

Not the best teacher, he lost me a lot since he lectures the whole class. Half of the class he talked about current events and the other half about the book. I did not read one word out of the book, just take notes during class and you will be fine. He gives all the answers on review days. Pretty easy class.

He know's Anthropology, just because he get's off topic doesn't mean he's not a good teacher. The stuff that he lectures about is real world stuff, you'll learn a lot. Very interesting.

If he would stand still for more than 3 seconds at a time and didn't teach/test/grade on his opinion, he'd be a much better professor. He spends half the lecture talking about his (very biased) opinion on current events and lot of the things he says on the topic are stereotypes stated as fact.

Professor Mitchell was a wonderful, funny, and engaging professor. He would lecture on Anthropology, and on current events (with an emphasis on global awareness for students). Professor Mitchell truly cared for his students and explained Anthropology in relation to his field experience. You'll learn so much in this course. Take Him!

When I was in school, I took numerous courses with this professor. He always had a small number of dedicated students following him around. He is brilliant. Despite his love of privacy and refusal to give out personal contact info. he loves his students and loves teaching. He is passionate, intelligent, honest, and amusing. He notices attendance.

I liked him a lot. The only grades are four tests, which are easy if you keep up with the readings and go to the review class. They are all definition based the only thing is that sometimes he is not that great at explaining things. I recommend him

Professor Mitchell is extememly easy, only 4 tests. He explains things over and over and the review classes helped too. Def take him. Just don't buy the Woarani book. We were supposed to read it on our own time, which me and 3 other people did. But b/c most the class didn't he never talked about the book or put questions on the test.

I would definitely take this class. At first I was not excited about having to take Anthropology and expecially since all professor did was talk about his opinions, but do not give up hope! It gets better and better as it goes on. The tests are easy, go in before if you have questions and he will tell you exactly what you need to know!

I really like him, he's a funny guy even though he just talks about his life the whole entire class. He goes over the test the day before so the tests are easy. Doesnt take attendance and barely uses the book.

very easy professor. there are 4 test all year. he reviews each test before hand and practical gives you the answers. the test are all the definitions of the terms at the bottom of the page in the textbook. so get the textbook and study those terms and you will get an A easily.

His class is really easy. He gives 4 exams and he is an easy grader.Come to class because his exams are based on his lectures and not the book.He repeats things over and over so that you can remember them. Also gives a great test review before exams.

Took this class during winter break so it was fast paced but he made it easy to understand. Rambles a little but other than that he explained everything in a way that was relatable to life and really made you think. If you go to class and take notes you should be able to get at least a B.
