An alumni recommended I take Dr. Moreland. Great suggestion. As the others before me said, the tests grades are nit picky as it gets. The lectures were entertaining and easy to go to. The tests come STRAIGHT from lecture and MAYBE one book question at max. I'm taking him for an upper level course so of course I would recommend him to others.

Really cool class. I enjoyed his lectures and it's the only class I would not skip. He doesn't post his lectures online and you need to hear how he elaborates what is on the power point. He was slightly awkward, brought up sex anytime he possibly could, but he is funny and honest. His tests are essay question and it is the pickiest grading ever!

He really likes Freud and you must take very detailed notes to do well on tests. Other than that, he's a really amazing professor. I had surgery mid-semester and he was accommodating and friendly. His tests definitely require studying, but they're not too hard. Email him or the TAs to clarify any questions you have and you'll be fine.

Great professor. Lecture IS mandatory; his notes aren't posted online and you must take very detailed notes on what he says in class. His exams are all open-response, and there is a lot of material to memorize, but his questions are straight forward and he tells you what you need to know beforehand. Very willing to help. Book isn't necessary.

Attendance is mandatory - he doesn't post notes online. He's to the point & gives good examples. Exams are short-answer (open ended) but you have access to practice exams & he literally goes through the notes & tells you what to study. Not an "easy" A but if you study & know the material, it's not hard to get an A.

You need to go to class since he does not put his notes online. The subject is interesting, and Moreland varies the content in powerpoints, using video clips from movies etc. Tests are all short answer. The textbook is rarely used. Class before each test is a review and Q&A, and if you write down what he says to study during this class, you're set.

Good guy, gives out practice exams similar to inclass exams, regrades and even grades practice exams. However, grades are determined only by exams, and all exams are open ended - if you're in engineering like me and took this as an easy A, definitely try something else! still, very good class

You need to go to class. He's a funny guy and very straight forward. He lets you know what's on each exam. Very fair. Each exam is short answer, so you might have to change the way you study for each exam. Overall, I'd recommend it.

He is a decent lecturer and uses video clips and pictures to keep things interesting. Attendance is mandatory, he does not post lecture slides online. This class is very difficult becuase of the tests. There are four and each one consists of 20 short answer questions that he expects you to answer with verbatim anwers from the class. Not an easy A.

Easiest professor ever. GO TO CLASS because he doesn't post lecture slides. Take good notes and memorize them because his tests are entirely memorization. His only trick is that he throws a random question from the textbook readings - don't discount the small details. He loves those. Also pay attention right before the quiz - gives you all answers

Very straightforward. Class is mandatory as questions are almost all lecture based, but he tells you exactly what is going to be on the test and what you need to study.
