Dr. Neel is a really great professor. Although, his class is not necessarily easy to pass he does want his students to succeed. There are only 3 tests and attendance is part of your grade. He randomly takes attendance so be sure to attend class. You DO NOT need to buy the textbook. All around a good class. Dr. Neel is awesome!

Dr. Neel was a great history professor. He only gave three tests (including the final) and only took attendance a total of 20 times. He provides notes after the first week or so and offers review sessions around the date of the test. Everything needed for the exams is reviewed just before in his sessions as well as the SI and TA sessions.

Dr. Neel is an old-fashioned professor. He doesn't use any technology in his lectures, which mean that it can get pretty boring. He takes attendance, but you don't have to go to get an A. Make sure you study for exams though, cause they are pretty tough. There are some questions from the textbook on exams, but you won't need to buy it.

He's really entertaining in class. There are only a few tests and no homework, so he takes attendance every few days for points. There are study sessions before the tests where they go over the study guide and tell you EXACTLY what to know, and Dr. Neel gives extra credit if you go to his study session. I went and got 100% on the first test.

He is an amazing professor. He is funny and connects well with students as well as being helpful person. He clearly gives lectures off of notes that he posts to blackboard so you can follow along and makes notes. Has many study sessions to give you the best opportunity to pass his class. He is willing to help you and always answers questions.

Doc Neel is great! If you go to the review sessions before the tests, you'll do great. Attendance is a big part of the grade, so make sure to get to class!

I Loved having him as my Professor, I'm really sad I can't have another class with him. His lectures do get kind of boring but he's entertaining enough to make it worth going. He's totally cool too. Test are easy if you study. Go to the study Sessions Especially Clair's. SO HELPFUL. P.s. all notes are posted online!

He is an amazing prof!! I would love to be able to take him again but he is retiring. You don't need the book at all he goes over the reading material in class and all the notes for what he lectures over are posted online. He is one of the coolest and most laid back people i've met! Enjoy class with him he is amazing!!!!!!!

Overall, he was a really cool teacher. He tends to go on long rants about topics that don't seem relevant to what we are learning, and he tries to be funny. He is very kind, but rarely gets back to students via email or the otherwise. The class had 3 tests, including the final, and they weren't too bad, having studied.

Funny and great guy! But he's lectures are too long and confusing. The only grades he gives are test, so if your horrible at test I would pass on him.

HES AN AWESOME GUY, but class is super boring. Tests are pretty tough because he gets off topic easily in class but go to his SI's study sessions and his study sessions and you will get extra credit and are guaranteed to pass.
