Best Stats professor ever. He is very funny and makes the class fun. There are 10 easy quizzes that he tells you whats on them. Tests are easy if you study and pay attention to him. Power points in the beginning then chalk and talk for the rest. I would totally recommend him.

If you're taking a math class from him expect a lot of homework and quizzes, but expect learn a lot in a good environment for it. He jokes around, but it's all in good fun. While this class was below my level, I have to admit Mr. Pineau was amazing and what I learned from him could be helpful in future math courses. Although his ways of joking around with his students can raise some eyebrows and concerns at times, at the end of the day it's all good! So he was a mix of everything really. He is a tough grader, there was a lot of homework for the course, and there were three or four tests. Everything he does is to help you pass with a high grade, even when he grades tough. Professor Pineau is by far the greatest, most amazing professor I've ever had in my whole academic career. He was an amazing lecturer and tried to make everyone understand everything as much as possible. He hates the final exam, and says it's way too hard, he's not the one who writes it though. This class was one of the hardest I've ever taken. There was so much content, it was difficult for me to study (though I would spent hours doing so before each quiz, and even more before the exams). He can be harsh with grading, even admitting this himself. However, he's great at teaching and I would definitely take him again.

Very accessible outside of class and will help you with anything even if you are not his student. If youre taking stats or need to, Richards your guy. His lecture videos are very clear to understand and if you have any questions you can send out an email and get a response within 5 minutes. AMAZING professor! In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic with so many students having to adjust to the online class format, it was absolutely refreshing to have a professor who is so compassionate and respectful towards his students.

BEST PROF. EVER!! He is a real gem and wants everyone to get an A. This course is not easy but if you put in the time and effort, you will do well. DO NOT wait until the last minute to complete the online homework (you will regret it!). There are 3 exams, a final, hand in hw, and online hw. Picking him over another teacher is a no-brainer. He gradually eased us into proof-writing and even allowed more time on tough assignments. When introducing a concept, he won't move on until everyone understands the concept. I don't always agree with how many points he takes off when grading, but overall he is a generous graderand exemplary prof.

If I had to pick a professor to teach me every single math class I take it would be Professor Pineau. He is outstanding. Professor Pineau made Calc 2 as straight forward as possible, He provided very clear lecture notes and strategies that set you up for success. Do yourself a favor and take any class you can with him.

Such a good professor, Calc 2 is supposed to be a very hard class but he made it very easy. Super accessible outside of class he will literally respond to your emails within 2 minutes. HW every week but its super easy. Gives you choices on format for exams like take home, group exam etc. definitely take him for MAT 2020 and any other math class.
