He is a very funny guy! Has a great personality and makes the long over 2 hr lectures worth coming to! Knows his stuff and how to explain to the students very well.

Randall is hilarious and an extremely good professor! He gives you the answers to the test questions. The tests do cover a lot of material but as long as you pay attention and study a little you should be good. He loves what he is doing and he is super helpful if yo need it.

Randall is a riot. Easily the most entertaining class I've had at Stanislaus. He tells tons of "Randall" stories and will always keep your attention. Very clear in his notes, gives you the exam questions (starred questions) and will drop your lowest test score. Lots of extra credit on the exams as well. And boy does the man love his CocaCola!

About 2 month before the semester was over, I found out I didn't need the class! (Evaulation's mistake!) I got lazy and didn't study for the tests. I ended up with a C+ for the class. He tells you whats going to be on the test, but follow along with the book because there's a lot of info to retain for the test.

Very good teacher. Explains and says everything clearly. I actually read Chpts 1-2 and everything he said was on that book, there is no need to even have a book is a professor is this good. Overall he has a good character. Best of all my professors i had sofar. =)

Very entertaining teacher! He tells you exactly (And I mean stars by material and everything) what will be on the exams. Had him in a night class, and he certainly kept the class awake.

I took him as a new government teacher and he was awesome. I passed the class with an A and passed all the exams with an A also. Really nice, cool, funny professor. I recommend him to anyone that wants an easy class. Take him and you might acutally want to fail the class just to be in his class.

Randall is hilarious! He tells many Randall Stories that relate to the topics being discussed. There are four exams ONLY, but he drops your lowest grade. He puts stars by all the important information during his lectures that WILL be on the exams;they're gold so you shouldn't miss class. I studied hard, got an A and would definitely take him again!

Randall makes Government interesting. Class consists of 3 exams that have about 75 multiple choice questions each (long test!) But, he drops your lowest test score. Test is mostly from the notes and he stars the important information. I did not bother buying the book and got an A. Easy Class! I Recommended Prof. Randall.

I was initially going to take this class for credit, but honestly it was so easy to pass with an A as long as you study the notes in lectures and try to skim the book. I would suggest not buying the book from the school, since its over 100$. Rent it off of amazon or chegg if you are actually planning to read it LOL. Hilarious professor!

Great professor who loves to tell stories and loves his coke. Will recommend but class was 3 hours long. he grades the 2 best test scores out of 3. Never understood gov until i took this class. he ties in his stories with the concepts.

Lectures tend to be very long and boring, but "Randall stories" are hilarious and make class fun. A lot of the test material is from his lectures and notes. You will NOT pass the tests if you do not study the notes!

Had two exams and optional essay final. The two exams were multiple choice STUDY THE STARS in his lectures. Flash cards helped me. I didn't use the book don't think it made a difference since I studied a lot. His stories are so funny, and make class go by fast. He drops one exam so do good on the first ones and skip the final:D

He is very lecture base reading textbook can be helpful but still able to pass if you don't. He shares amazing stories during the lecture that are one of a kind. Haven't seen a professor like him before but he is absolutely amazing.

Professor Randall is an interesting professor in a good way. You don't necessarily have to show up to the lectures but I wouldn't advise it because the lecture is the test. The test is fairly easy if you showed up to class or just study the lecture notes a day before or if you're like me that morning and still pass with a B at bare minimum.

Such a funny guy! In lecture, he stars what is most important to know for the test. He has a story for everything, which made the three hour lecture feel like thirty minutes. Ask questions if you have them, he's more than willing to answer them for you.

Randall is a really funny guy and his class is not difficult at all. I just wouldn't retake his class just because I'm not someone who enjoys taking courses that have to do with politics or anything like that. The course itself was boring but he made some jokes throughout the semester. Again, really easy but I never found it interesting.

Best Political Science teacher you will ever have. Show up to class and he will give you mostly what will be on the test. He makes political science interesting with his life stories. Highly recommend.

Uses chalk and chalkboard. Funny lectures, first exam everyone does mediocre on, the others are easy if you study, he gives you a lot of answers in the lecture. Would definitely take again.

TAKE Him. He is fun, interesting and honestly the best. His class is easy, drops the lowest exam score, 3 exams total. Funny guy, relates everything to a funny/interesting story. Honestly, nothing wrong. Note: there is no powerpoint notes but he will go slow for you and will let you know what is going to be on the exam. Hint: Look at the stars!! )

This man is so caring, you can really tell he loves what he does. He really cares for his students and wants them all to succeed. All you have to do is watch the lecture videos he posts and attend the lectures he has every week, he will really appreciate it. I would recommend this professor and class. Only 2 test and a final, no homework or essays

Professor Randall is amazing and he is always willing to help. His lectures are really fun. This class grade is based on two exams, but we take three and you drop the exam with the lowest grade. There is no HOMEWORK in this class. And he also adds extra credit to all of your exams. Overall you will never be wrong taking his class.

Textbook isn't necessary as long as you watch the lectures. Lectures for each module are broken up and 15 min each but Randall tends to talk a lot. I personally just skimmed the lectures and studied the notes. No hw, exams are super easy. Randall basically tells you what the questions are. He adds 9 points ec for each exam and drops lowest exam.

To start off you will only have 3 exams that are graded, no homework. It all consists of lectures that you don't necessarily need to be present in because he posts video lectures online with notes. This class was very easy and the professor was great, nothing bad to say about him. Just make sure to study and look over the notes and you'll be good.

Dr. Richard Randall is a cultured, hilarious professor. His lectures, which have a healthy balance of knowledge and humor, are incredibly informative and fascinating. If you take his course, attend class; he reveals exam questions during his lectures! Studying for exams is crucial. There are no assignments other than three exams. Highly recommend!

There is no study guide and the whole class is based off of 3 tests that you take and he bases your grade off 2 of the tests so he will take off one great out of the 3. There is a lot of content you have to study however but I am really bad at political science and I still got a b.

Best teacher ever

He conveys the material pretty well. I had no trouble understanding the material at all it was only the memorizing for the 3 exams he gives. No homework which is good. I would recommend to got to SI Session which helps with any questions, confusing, and preparing for the exams. All exams had more than 60 questions which are multiple choice only.

I honestly loved this professor due to the work itself. The class only had 3 exams which for me was good. I was happy since there weren't any HW in this class. I wasn't worried about this class since I wouldn't be graded harshly like other classes. I easily got bored due to his jokes since I have anxiety and lose concentration easily.

Best professor/teacher I've had yet. Incredibly funny, super engaging with the class. Makes every lecture memorable by tying real-world stories to political subjects, many of which are hilarious. Tests are challenging but super fair. I'm not a PoliSci major and I still want to take another class of his just for the fun of it!

My best experience with a college professor! History courses are a dread to me but his class was a class that I looked forward to! He uploads his lectures on canvas so you don't necessarily have to go BUT he tells us during lecture that "this will be on the exam" so it was super helpful! Only does 3 exams and only 2 count.

He is a lecture teacher, be be ready for that. He Tells you probably 3 to 5 test questions every lecture. 3x85 Question tests in class. They are medium difficulty but definitely study at the least. I never study for almost anything, I had to study to pass.

Hands down my favorite professor at Stan State. I genuinely believe his class will be enjoyable for anyone, not just Poli Sci majors. You're only graded for three exams (multiple-choice). If you attend and take good notes, you will do well. Reading the textbook is by no means necessary for an A. I looked forward to every lecture. HIGHLY recommend.

Randall was super sweet and loves what he does which made the class way more enjoyable. he gives answers to test questions throughout the lecture so I would advise showing up for class. Other than that the tests are simple and class is very enjoyable.

Only 3 exams (no hw or quiz) and it's curved, lowest exam is dropped, old-school lecture and scantron, no cheat sheet, gives majority of exam answers during lecture. Randal is one of the funniest and realest teachers I have had. He uses stories that are slightly crazy but always entertaining to get his point across. The tests are not hard, just make sure to review because although he gives you test questions, there are more things on the test; however everything is included in the notes.
