The easiest class I've ever taken! Just follow the lecture and fill in the blanks. All you have to do is answer study questions. If you don't know the answer, he'll ask if anyone has questions, and then he GIVES you the answer! It's easier than botany

3 true/false tests, be objective, trick questions, but easy. 1 easy project. Gives LOTS of extra credit. EASY A. He is a science nerd get over it. He trys and does care but lacks social skills. Only need his lecture outline for tests. Gives you answers.

Raise your GPA with a required physical science course. The easiest A ever. Most people slept and ate. Just study his lecture outline. He tells you the answers to potential questions. Just come to class and fill in his outline and bamn! an A.

Anyone who says this teacher is hard is just REALLY lazy. All you ever have to do is study the day or two before the test and you'll get an A. He tells you what is and isn't on the test in his outline. He gives tons of extra credit!

This guy is an idiot. Laughs at his own jokes, not interesting at all... The class isn't too bad, a lot of information to retain but bearable. Not an easy A, but not a hard B

He is a fairly easy teacher. Only 3 test and a very easy project the entire semester. The test are true/false which makes them extra easy. He gives tons of extra credit. If you get a grade lower than a B is because you really try to. A weird but funny teacher.

It is a monologue, all slides, but he is very systematic if you read the outline--all test anwers R there. Lots of e.c. I got an A & did NOT read text bk only outline. I liked him in a goofy, gruff bravado exterior way. He is a kind, sweet man at heart. If U put any effort in class U will get A.

He is not really that bad, you just have to get used to his sense of humor.He gives so many extra points and his tests are not that hard. Just learn the reviewing questions and you gonna do fine. Just don't mix up minerals and rocks!!!! And don't be an environmentalist in his presence!!

Does whine, yell, talks 2 self but it's mostly bravado. He's DEEPly caring, concerned w/world/people. His outline tells U all da important facts U need. I loved this teacher. A bit off the wall at times, but so funny. He is a fair grader and makes it easy to learn. Study and you will do fine

This guy is a complete crack-up. I laughed throughout the whole class, (although I was the only one laughing). His dry humor and sarcasm keep me chuckling. His class is extremely easy. Tests are 100 true or false questions. He gives you the answers to the homework. Just study his outline and you will get an A for sure.

He is an outstanding teacher,intellectual, and just a kind human being. At the same time, if you are looking for some excitement in your otherwise boring life, this class is not for you. He does not like whiners. It is the effort that counts.

The class is ALL lecture. Take constant notes in the outline, the outline is a MUST HAVE. If you miss something DON'T hesitate to ask him questions! He's really helpful and a nice guy. Hes really random and inserts little jokes and stuff that he gets in emails. Always speak loud and clear, he isn't always able to decipher what mumblers are saying.

The lecture outline is the core of this class--it's essential to have it. Professor Robinson lets you know EVERYTHING that will be on the test, which was very helpful. A lot of memorization involved in this class. Gives a lot of opportunities for bonus points. Study well and you'll ace the tests.

Easy class if you just study for the exams. The tests are very easy. The lectures are clear. He tells you exactly what to know for the test. No homework. Funny, funny teacher. The students who don't like him are just people with personality problems. They don't know how to get along with others and to respect authority. I recommend this class. Easy

A very nice guy w/ a sense of humor which if doesnt make u laugh, lets u take a break during the class perios which to me was not boring at all. beach lovers and surfers, take this class and enjoy the cool slides he's showing. It is easy to get a good grade if u study a little bit. Science majors can easlily get an A. Hurry, he'll retire next year.

For such a boring topic, he made the class interesting. I got a B, and could have done better, everything on the test is right in the notes. As long as you study you won't have a problem, if you don't study you'll be screwed, but its that way in any class, trust me, just take his class.

This is without a doubt one of the easiest science (with lab) classes you will take at SMC. Not because Robinson is a pushover, but because he organizes his classes properly, and gives an ample amount of extra credit. His text book is auctually a giant outline, you're supposed to write your notes in them, great review questions. His exams are easy.

Robinson's class was alot of fun. His lectures are easy to follow and lab was really easy. He has a great personality and knows his lectures and slides like the back of his hand so the course runs smoothly. I reccomend that you take this teacher highly. you will enjoy it! and ALOT of extra credit. do all of it and you're basicly assured an "A".

The course material isn't the most riveting (how fun can rocks be?), but professor Robinson makes the class really enjoyable with his humor and silly antics. The test material isn't very difficult either--most of it is simple memorization.

I got an A in this class Spring 2007. It can get pretty boring, but if you pay attention and come to class you can do well. It is completely memorization and you have to study and memorize to do well on the tests. Robinson is a really nice and funny guy and he will answer any questions you have. DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK. I did not once it even once.

Professor Robinson is a very nice guy, one of the few great teachers who believe in what they teach. If you are taking this class just because you need to, I don’t recommend it as this is a REAL class, there is no easy A here. I worked hard and received the grade I deserved, an A. Tests are T/F, you only need the lecture outline, no textbook.

OMG so boring! but, at times he interests you with his corny, yet funny jokes. His lectures are boring, but you MUST pay attention. Text book is a 100% must! take notes in textbook. 2 tests 1 final. final not mandatory. EASY B, kinda easy A. definately recommend for those who just want to raise GPA. Extra credit easy. GREATEST SMC TEACHER EVER. Wow, now this is a class to take. The class outline seems a bit mundane, but his stories and jokes will make you crack up. He is a very genuine teacher, who has some very strong convictions. He is helpful, and if you try, you will do well. He is very fair. LOVE THIS GUY.

Easy class. Randomly gives attendance points, so always show up to class. You need to buy the book, it's fill in notes. Jokes are a bit dry. Extremely helpful. Study notes for exams, which are multiple choice. It's one of the best classes I've ever taken. :)

His jokes suck but laugh at them anyway. He hates it when he asks the class a question and everyone stays quiet. He seems to hate women so steer clear if you're one. Take notes, show up every day, and study. Don't but the text book just the lecture one.

At first I was terrified of him. He's radically right wing, loud and abrasive. But after the first couple of weeks, he gets a LOT nicer. He's really a fantastic teacher and has traveled all over the world. Talk loudly, he's practically deaf and doesn't seem to know it. Likes cheesy jokes.

He is a good and kind teacher, i passed the class with pure taken down notes. the labs are at times fun. he answers all the questions that you have. he says chessy jokes every class time. I would take him again.

I was kind of scared after 1st class.Prof Robinson was very clear that he needs to be that way to avoid having lazy students in class.The material is not very easy, especially for ESL students like me but if you study hard you can get an A as I did. I don't understand those mean comments. People if you are too lazy to study don't blame him for that

Robinson seems harsh, but he actually is really nice if you get to know him. His tests are easy (100 questions t/f only) but you do need to study. He will give you ALL the material needed to pass. If you are a good students and are respectful, he will really love you. Be nice and study and he's an easy A.

I had no interest in this class in the beginning, but by the end I really came to appreciate all that I learned in oceanography. I also didn't like Robinson much in the first half of the semester, nor appreciate his teaching style or humor, but got used to him and liked his class a lot in the end. Quite a character, keeps the class interesting.

He will give you everything you need to know for exams, in fact he's more set on just giving you the answers than you actually learning, which is fine if you're not a geology major. 3 lecture tests, 2-3 lab tests. 2 lecture tests are 100 true false, 1 lecture test (final) is multiple choice/true false. Lab tests are easy. Easy A if you study.

I just finished the winter semester with him. He ISNT an ****, he has a sense of humor, and he always helps you. He seems mean at first, but after a few classes, he's awesome. The tests were around medium difficulty for me, but I'm no good at geology. If you study, getting an A isn't that hard. Dont be afraid to take him, unless your super lazy.

I really appreciated how he lectured with his slides. Visuals really help. He's a bit on the manipulative side which leads some students to become super kiss a**es to get those bonus points. He knows it too. But don't worry, you can still get an A without them. Don't be afraid to ask questions, he wants to help.

funny guy. hates obama and blames him for the recession even though it was the bush administration that laid all that mess on to anyone who stepped into the whitehouse, liberal or republican. he reads funny jokes and the class was very interesting. his teaching method was also helpful. all the steps to getting a good grade are printed out for you

Throughout the class he was always really funny and made everything interesting. He would make you feel dumb if you ask questions sometimes but all tests are T/F and he doesn't use a book, only his own workbook that you have to buy. EASY A!! Love him

Ok I loved this guy! The subject is dull,but he uses his vacation pics and he's a great photographer! makes very funny / random jokes. Make sure to do the lecture outline and study for the tests ( which are all T/F) but he's a pretty easy a and very amusing. Recommended. ps. he wears awesome skechers.

He comes off as mean but he's actually pretty fun once you get used to him. You only need his lecture outline and you fill it in throughout the semester. Tests are extremely easy if you study outline. He has a very odd sense of humor and is pretty strange, but like I said, once you get used to it, it's a pretty enjoyable class and easy A!

This professor is really easy. I missed literally half class, and the other half I would day dream. I would study literally a couple hours before the exam, that's how easy the exam is. Just do the questions at the end of his book, that's ALL. He tries to make the class funny. Fast talker, so if you want to take notes, make friends in the class.

Need to buy an outline for the class. Book is recommended not required. Has 3 Tests throughout the semester 100ques. all T/F. Study because there's alot of info. When asking questions make sure to speak loudly he likes that. He can sometimes get irritated easily, so speak up and ask questions.

Lecture outline is required. The book is unnecessary, you can gather all the information needed from the lectures. His jokes are so cheesy. But that made class a bit interesting. T/F exams and extra credit is offered during the semester. Definitely helps.

I took Geology with Professor Robinson at Pierce. He is honestly a very amazing lecturer and he really cares about his students! You really need to study to pass his class but you'll like and learn a lot. He has good sense of humor too, which really helps us to relax after heavy lectures. Take his class!

I took Robinson's geology class at Pepperdine. He is one of the most helpful and straightforward professors I've had. With that said, he really did try his best to make the class interesting. His lectures are a bit dated, as he uses a slide projector, but you can still follow his lectures and he is always available to answer questions .
