easiest writing class I have ever had, no tests, 6 papers over entire semester and can be as short as you want, grades fairly, don't even have to go to class, allows assignments to be emailed

Great guy, allows papers to be late (only 6 whole semister). Cancelled class in advance a few times because our class was "ahead of the game" or however he put it. Im not that great of a writer, but still ended up with an A. If you show him you care to put in slightly more than a mediocre effort, you'll probably end up with an A like me

One of the best teachers I've had at WCU...He is really into the material and gets you into it as well. There are a couple of writing assignments but he lets you revise them if you don't do well and no tests. I would def. reccommend him if you want a down to earth teacher!!

Dr. Scholl is 1 of the best teachers i've had at west chester. His down to earth teaching methods make his lectures easy to follow, and make participation fun. He will go out of his way to help you, and unlike most professors he is easy to get in contact with. I enjoyed his class so much I'm taking him again this semester for another writing course

Wonderful Teacher! With out a doubt one of the best teachers I had at West Chester University. You will feel like you are ready to take on the world after completing this class, and everything you learn relates directly to the real world. He focused on quality and intensity of thought over volume. Too many other writing instructors become enmeshed in repetitive assignments and simple grammar. Dr. Scholl was intent on teaching writing as a tool to reach a goal, which ultimately led to better papers.

Wonderfullll man he really cares about his stidents. he will do whatever it takes to help you understand real life. i feel like he has taught me so much i loveeeee this man. take him you will feel like your ready for life.

This was one of the more difficult classes I've had, but it was absolutely worth it. Scholl actually cares about how you do in the class, and while the assignments were sometimes tough he was always available to help. Definitely take this class and with him, it did more to prepare me for a career post-college than anything else at WCU.

Best professor at WCU. Expects a lot of his students, but is very fair. He really cares about seeing his students succeed, and even helped me get a few job interviews.Very down to earth and teaches you the type of things that you will actually use in the workplace. Not an "easy" A, but if you try you should definetly get one.

Prof. School is one of the best English teachers I have ever had. It is very obvious that he knows his craft and does not teach things just for the sake of teaching them. Definitely one of my best professors.He has helped me develop my skills as a writer, while teaching me how to become an effective communicator. I would recommend this professor to anyone, not because he is easy, but because he goes out of his way for his students. Extremely helpful when he gives you feedback on your writing pieces. Open minded about a lot of things, which is so nice because classrooms have many different opinions and outlooks on things.

He doesn't go by a written textbook; instead, uses his own interpretations of textbooks and what is expected in the real-world. The papers written in class are useful & can be used in the real-world. I'm now in my senior year, took his class last year, and maintain that he is the best professor I've had at WCU. Intelligent, witty, clever, and funny. Great amount of knowledge. I learned so many valuable lessons in his class, not only in regards to business writing, but with marketing and business in general. TAKE HIS CLASS!

makes own textbook which is like $30. All written assignments but very helpful. Very strict grader... explains what the content is for the assignments but not little things like spacing or margins which i always got points off for. Will definitely help if you are a business major. He is funny and lets you out an hour early for 3hr class

Professor Scholl is unlike any professor at WCU. He cares about what he teaches. He wants his students to succeed, not only in his class, but in the real world. Not a hard class. Assignments were not long. Just put in the effort. This class will help you beyond the classroom.

Dr. Scholl is my favorite professor at WCU. Not only do you become a better writer in his class, but you learn so much without really realizing it. He pushes you to be better by grading your papers hard, but learn from his suggestions and A should not be difficult

High quality professor, maybe the most useful non-major class I've taken. Dr. Scholl is like a mad scientist, kooky but brilliant, and you'll leave the class with both a quality resume and several cover letter samples to get you ready for the job hunt. I still use his textbook ("How to write killer cover letters + resumes") when applying for jobs.

Professor Scholl significantly improved my writing. I am also a mother of twins & a wife. I live an hour+ from campus. He made it entirely possible for me to work 100% online except for the in-class presentation. What a great guy & transformational prof! Not an easy A, but worth taking if you actually want to learn & significantly improve!

Life changing. Scholl is easily the greatest prof I have ever had. His textbook is a collection of the best student papers he has received from over the years, incredible! He does not sleep until every student has a cover letter and resume that will get them any job they desire. His near perfect rating on here doesn't lie.. he is that great! TAKE!!

The course pack is great because it gives good examples of all the writing assignments. You are allowed to write about any topic for the assignments, even if it isn't directly business related. Dr. Scholl can be a tough grader but he only wants you to learn. He also offers extra credit to go to the writing center (which is beneficial). Dr. Scholl is very respected, laid back, and will acknowledge your hard work. I got a 'B' on all of my papers but received an 'A' in the course. He knows his stuff and provides exceptional feedback. Nothing is posted online except the syllabus so good notes are absolutely necessary. Write down everything he says and you'll get an A.

Before I took this class I was very unconfident in my writing skills. Professor Scholl cares very much for his students. The skills he teaches you are a must have in the real-world. I am very confident about my writing now. Go to the writing center for extra-credit. There is no limit and it's great practice. Take his class, trust me.

Professor Scholl always gets back to me on the same day that I turn in my assignments. He provided solid feedback on every assignment. Im not sure why theres a comment saying that hes lazy because thats not the case at all. As long as you stay on track & turn assignments in on time, you dont have anything to worry about. Professor scholl is very interactive and helpful with his corrections and he also structures his classes extremely well considering the circumstances this quarantine. Also, his course pack is 100% the most helpful, useful material I have ever purchased throughout college.

Had him for a non zoom class in fall 2020. Kind of hard to stay on top of everything and difficult to teach yourself the content but I can blame him for this, I blame the format of the class.

I had Professor Scholl semester and learned a great deal from him. He takes his time to correct all written work so you actually learn what to do better and how to be a more effective writer for business. I knew that all my assignments were read carefully. I would 100% take another class of his. Always available for any concerns as well.

Giving anything less then a a 5 stars for this prof and clearly you are poor student. He designs this class so even bad writers like myself have a chance to improve there writing and earn an A. Although it was an online semester professor Scholl provided great feedback on every assignment and encouraged resubmission for better grades. Do your work and youll have no trouble at all getting through this class

As a straight 'A' student who wanted to improve my writing simply because I love to write, Dr. Richard School provided fantastic feedback with fair grades, and timely responses. I have never taken a winter class until now, and he provided me with substantial assistance, timely feedback, and answered any questions I had. Truly an astounding prof.

Though I never met Dr. Scholl, I did enjoy his class ENG368. He provides great feedback on assignments and cares about student success. I feel like I am a better writer after taking this class and felt that his assignments will prove to be useful down the road. I just wish the course pack was not so expensive. Other then that, take Dr. Scholl!!

Professor Scholl provides great feedback on assignments. He responds back promptly if we have any questions. I would highly recommend buying the course pack instead of renting it out. I took Prof. Scholl for a completely online class. His requirements were clear and concise. He grades papers with a lot of feedback which helps you get better with your writing. I recommend taking him if you want to learn and get better.

Professor Scholl is a great teacher and you learn a lot from his class. His textbooks are student made and I will be keeping mine for reference for a while. If there is one word to describe this class it would be COMMA-SPLICE!
