He is new and very nice and caring. 2 midterms which are multiple choice, short answer/diagrams, the diagrams can be hard. Quiz every class, if you read then you will pass quiz. 2 3 to 5 page case study, very difficult on cases. 5 MS access labs are easy. Take him if you want to learn and do not mind doing some hardcore studying.

Yes, he does have 2 case studies (grades pretty hard), quizzes each class (based on previous lecture), multiple choice w/ 70% short answer/diagram questions, but he's really great. I enjoyed his class, a bit techy, but he's interesting and understanding. Be prepared to keep up - provides PPT 4 lecture, sometimes this is good enuff.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Prof. Sessions' ratings on this site; the guy is absolutley awesome! His lectures are crystal clear, tests are easy, and his grading in midterms and projects is VERY fair. Also, email him with a question and he'll respond within MINUTES. So, why the complains? Come on, Sessions is awesome! Take him!

If you study and pay attention, class shouldn't be difficult. His lectures are very clear, he is very helpful and has tons of experience meaning he knows what he's talking about. If he taught another class, I'd take it again because he's a good teacher. I recommend this class. peace.

Definately not Easy. Prof. lvl Exec.Case study grading standard. Quiz each class. Responsive to emails. Very busy, but MAKES time for students. There are no dumb questions. A lil'scary, kinda funny, very geeky, very interesting and very good. I would recommend him, but prepare to work hard..or at least work smart. Defn8ly lots of work

You probably have to take this class, so take it from Sessions. Hard but good teacher, but the assignments are very clear and documented. Tough paper(s), but if you do well on the 1st, you don't have to write the 2nd. You are guaranteed to learn something. Class goes by fast.

excellent teacher and extremely helpful. best teacher i took and you will learn a lot. attend class daily because there are quizzes in the beginning of class but its not hard only 10 questions. midterms and finals are ok just study the graphs.

His teaching skill is great. Very helpful. Lectures are very interesting. Approachable. Requires a lot of work but grading very fair. Crystal clear about everything. I've learned a lot from his class. Highly recommend.

One of the best teachers I've had. Had him for Winter Session and wow. TAKE HIM! He is on top of things and gets all the grades back so quickly. We took the final at 6:00PM and he had our final class grades online by 11:00PM that same night. He even accepts txt messages if you need to ask a quick question. REALLY GOOD TEACHER.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Made the material very interesting and adds useful information that you will use in your career in business. As I am starting spring semester.. i can't help but miss his lectures as they were SO involving and entertaining at times. I can tell that he enjoys helping students. TAKE HIM!! He is hard though.

MIS spring 2011. Very nice, will take the time to talk to each student if they are confused or have questions. If people are lagging behind, he will offer Ex Cred/grade improvement assignments. Quizzes everyday are obnoxious but easy if you read the chapters. M/C on the tests were tricky for me. Dont procrastinate w/case studies, no groupwork!

He is kinda intimidating but the mat'l is not hard. The exams were mostly from his lectures. Study the diagrams from his lectures (those are the bulk of his exam points). Follow the case study guidelines carefully b/c he grades hard. Cool thing was that most of the sem we met for class once a wk b/c he finished his weekly lecture in one meeting.

He is better as a mentor than a teacher. A great person to ask for real-life advice. You gotta do lots of work in the class and figure out the way through all of them on your own. But he is there to answer questions. He also replies text messages.

By far the best and most interesting professor I've ever had. He is helpful and flexible. Professor Sessions is a great professor! You have a quiz once a week. There were two tests, a midterm and a final. Each had two diagrams that you had to memorize and know the purpose of, and the multiple choice questions were directly from the quizzes. Case analysis is long and Salesforce labs were relevant and fun. Definitely a great class!

Session is a great professor. He isn't hard you just need to put in the work. I personally liked go over the bolded words in the book from the chapter. Some people in the class liked going over the power point he sent out for the quizzes. He is a fair grader when it comes to the midterm and final. I got an A.

Exam tips: 1) Most important--Study the diagrams. More than 60% of the exam points relies on them. 2) Multiple choice portion is taken mostly from quizzes C-Level Analysis Tips: 1) He's looking for professionalism, but also not boring. It's an analysis with a hint of creativity. 2) He'll mark you down for improper source citations. He's fun tho.

Good professor, he wants you to succeed. For tests, study the diagrams he points out. Study the quizzes for the midterm. Study the chapters and PPTs for the final. The case analysis is pretty hard and it's time consuming. DON'T procrastinate. You also will have a group presentation and a quiz every week. A nice professor who will help if you ask.

Learned a lot in this class. He gives a lot of real life stories and experiences that help you relate to the subjects. There was a case analysis that you work on throughout the entire semester. This case analysis is worth a significant part of your final grade so make sure to do well on it.

The best professor I've ever had. There are a lot of online quizzes, but if you do well on those, you'll do great on the midterm and final. The quizzes are the vocab from the textbook, so study the vocab. Also make sure you study the charts he points out in class. He's a very helpful professor and does everything he can to make sure you pass.

Great professor! The case analysis he gave us is really applicable and I was able to use it during an interview for a job since they gave a similar prompt to the one in class. Dr. Sessions really wants you to succeed and applies his lectures to actual problems to make it relevant.

One of the best professors. You have to work for an A but this is college here. His grading is straight forward with no curves. Weekly news weeks to stay relevant which are not hard at all. It's really more of a benefit to students. He gives a clear study guide of what to prepare for in the final. The only thing needed other than that is studying.

One of my favorite professors in the LCOB. Sessions is tough but prepares his students for the real world. Do ALL THE WORK at minimum to get a B in the class. Study hard for tests and start work on big projects as early as possible because he grades tough. This is an MIS capstone preparing us for our careers, so the class should be rigorous.

Taking him for the summer. Major assignments were online quizzes, one midterm and final, and Salesforce labs. Be ready to be cooked and grilled during the happening of your group presentation! He will stop you and to tell whats wrong with your presentation and the question he 's concerned about! Overall class is not bad exams are fairly easy and group analysis is probably the hardest part!

Overall, Sessions was a good teacher. Sessions gives lots of real life examples. The multiple choice questions on his exams were challenging. FYI, his favorite cookie isn't an actual edible cookie, it's a IT cookie!

Welcome to your capstone class. This professor is your only option as of now. He is a cool professor who really understands the business industry well. There is a midterm and a final. They are super easy (70% of the grade was memorizing a couple of charts and graphs). The group project is time-consuming you will need to put an effort.

Let me shutdown the negative reviews. He is probably one of the best M.I.S. professors there that has prepared me for the real TECH or BUSINESS world. That big paper he makes you do is super helpful to bring to a job interview or learn from, if you participate more he is more open to help you, he can be difficult but he just wants you to succeed.

Professor Sessions was a great professor. Has a lot of real life experience which he uses to connect to his teaching. Go to class and pay attention, study the notes which will help for the exams. There is a case analysis which is due towards the end of the semester DO NOT procrastinate on it.

I liked him! His online class was structured and easy to follow which I appreciated a lot, I would suggest taking him.

Pros: Professor has wise knowledge and experience. You can learn lots of useful things in daily life and in the Information Age. His assignments train you to be more professional, flexible, and well-prepared for your future career. Cons: Exams are difficult. Closed book with the camera on. Heavy assignments. But it pays off as you try your best.

Although Prof Sessions isn't the easiest and can sometimes come off as rude or arrogant, he's actually very knowledgable and wants students to succeed after graduating. I enjoyed hearing his stories. The research paper on CRM is difficult and he is not an easy grader but its a good experience overall if you put in the work. Would take again.

His class is very easy unlike what you might hear from others. The only few assignments that mainly reflect on your grade include the case analysis work. Make sure to start on them at the beginning of the semester and never procrastinate on those.

I really enjoyed his class. I thought he was a great professor and provided valuable feedback and advice. There is a group project that if you are paired in a bad team sorta sucks but he takes group work seriously and if you tell him there's a problem he'll solve it. His class is very test heavy and you have to memorize word for word (CHARTS ARE EVERYTHING). Do not slack on the paper because it is long (12-14 pgs), single-spaced, and Chicago style. During your presentation he does cut you off a lot especially if you don't have a statistic for your statements. He stopped my pres because of the color of my chart

I am not sure why people complain so much about this class. It's so easy. Maybe the people writing these reviews are the ones that cheat their way through the class? Don't expect to be spoon-fed a degree like a child. This class isn't a problem if you know how to properly write (which you should). Communication is business - verbal and written.

Class is tough if you have zero real-world experience in biz/tech implementations. If you're a "night before" kind of person, don't count on it. I'm a day before for an A-type and still needed a full week to get a 96% on the 20+ page paper. 100% he does get chummy with any eye candy sitting in front, sit at the back if that makes you uncomfortable.

Honestly really enjoyed this class. He gives you a whole month to write a case analysis which is about 9-12 pages long, don't procrastinate and you'll be fine. He tells you want graphs to study for the exams, study and you'll be fine. Teaches real life experience you will need once your out in the work world.

Honestly can come off super cruel, and merciless. BUT. I work in IT management, the very role he teaches about. And let me tell you how relevant that damn case is. That Case analysis is way too harsh to be in a bachelor's degree. But just take it as a very REAL peak and get into the role that it's your JOB. And I promise you will not regret it.

I personally thought the professor was great. He teaches you real world scenarios that you can apply to your future job in IT and has you do outside learning and readings to really understand the topics. Start your case analysis early and try not to procrastinate. Case analysis and presentation was the hard part, everything after is a breeze.

This professor is intimidating at first but throughout the semester I realized he is joking around with most of the things he says. I really never wanted to go to class because it gave me anxiety but by the end it was one of my favorite classes. Make sure you complete all assignments to cushion your grade. I was nervous going into this class because of the mixed reviews, but hands down, this ended up being my favorite professor ever. He's kind, down to earth, and teaches you real world skills. He might seem harsh at times, but it's only because he's trying to help you grow and he really plays the role during presentations to make it more realistic.

Professor Sessions is the real deal and the best professor I had in college. Despite reading mixed comments beforehand, you'll quickly realize some students simply aren't built for professional environments. The coursework is challenging but provides an authentic experience to prepare students for the real world that many fail to take advantage of.

The reviews tell me that a lot of people at this school are so soft. Is this guy a bit egotistical and says some weird stuff sometimes? Yes. But he is a really solid teacher and he actually tries unlike some other SJSU professors. People say he rips you up during his bug presentation, he doesn't, he literally just coaches you and gives you advice.

Professor Sessions gives a lot of insight/advice on interactions for students in the future and how present yourself and effectively talk to C-Suite. The case was specific but doable as long as you didn't procrastinate (most procrastinated), and live case presentations were more about improving presentation skills and was laid back and fun.

The professor was very inspirational, he had amazing lectures, and for the first time in my life, I didn't feel like learning had to be a drag. People here are blowing things out of proportion. Professor Sessions was an okay professor overall. He's very strict when it comes to presentations and gives pretty harsh feedback, especially during them definitely not the type to sugarcoat anything. He has a very unique and interesting personality, but it's definitely not for everyone.

Knowledgeable professor, but sometimes he's not the greatest at providing directions for certain assignments, which can be annoying. Everything else is easy. Watch out for the case presentation because he will be nitpicking each slide. People, especially females, can be weirded out by his personality but the class itself is easy.
