i think he is a good teacher, he cares for the class. one problem is though, his grading system.. meaning he teaches one thing and test you on other (usually higher level than you know).

Mr Shepardson is a great teacher. He explains very well. I had him for EAP1520 and I'm taking the next level right now (EAP1620). You can turn in your missing assignments after the final exam. He gives a lot of extra credits. If you are not lazy, you should get an easy "A" in his class. Too bad he doesn't teach ENC1101 but he did help me find a teacher for the next semester. I would highly recommend this teacher to anyone whose first language is not english.

he is the best teacher ever. never pushes you towards assignments. and that is the way you should deal with language students.you can turn in your missing work even after the final. very flexible. has a wide knoledge(and a PhD too). he will give full credit for late turn in. a really cool professor. his work will make you laugh to death. Dr Shepardson is a great teacher, all you need to know to get an A in this class is to pay attention and do your assignments. He gives easy assignments, he isn't strict about you coming in late to class and he has a funny side to him. If you want to learn how to write a perfect paper and advance your writing skills take him.

Instructor has clear assignments and online schedule. He'll meet with you to go over assignments.

He is a tough grader but they seem fair. I never got a paper back that was lower then a B. He's silly and makes jokes to make it seem fun. He's very helpful and isn't out to fail you. I'm choosing him again next semester.

Not my favorite subject. I didn't think of myself as a writer but now I do. Gave a variety of assignments but most of the topics I was allowed to choose. Finally, I felt he was a professor who was there for you. All I had to do was ask.

Dr. Shep can scan your paper in a minute and see your issues. I met with him a few times and learned to see my faults. Lectures are short. He helps with the ideas and then we load our files online. He gives a lot of feedback, so if you don't want help and can't write forget it.

He has good intention and willing to help. You have to take time to understand what he wants you to do. It took me haft of the semester to fully understand his class. I didn't really think that i would pass but i made it mostly by listening to him (even some of you think that it's nonsene but his lectures are what you need to put in your essays.

Funny and smart. He's a busy prof. who is there for you.. I was lost on some of the papers. The writing lab which he recommends isnt that helpful. He read my paper and almost immediately he recommended several solutions. He doesn't teach the next class unfortunately. .

My major is biology and I'm not a good writer. I needed clear instructions and help. He has his entire schedule online so when I couldn't come to class as I work, I still know what the class is doing. He writes class notes and puts them online so you won't fall behind. The class is clear cut. The work was challenging but he was always there to help

This professor is up beat and energetic. You will have a hard time not laughing at his examples He has two types of assignments and one requires reading stories. I'm not passing his class as I haven't had time to do any of his assignments. He's very forgiving, patient, and helpful, so it's my fault for failing. I'm taking his class again.

Took his 1620 and ENC1101. I earned an A in both classes. Taking another professor now but I still stop by his office. I learned a lot in his class and still meet with him. No matter what he's working on he stops what he's doing and works with his students which I can't say is true for my current teacher.

He tries to not give out the answers on what your paper should say. he will do everything he can to help you! He wants to see drafts, to know you're working. 2 expository essays, 2 lit analysis papers on 6 stories each(notes for each), mid and final in class written lit papers final drafts. You attend class for advise and guidance.

If you need help or immediate feedback,stay after class have a 1 on 1 and he'll break down your paper. 2 lit p on 2 books 1500wds& a research p 2500wds. Your partici. is your drafts. He is not bad, just don't mind his weirdness&write your papers! He doesn't like people who want everything spoon fed.

We had only 4 papers. IF you read his online schedule, read a few pages a week, ii's great. He's not hard and was the most entertaining class I had. You'll never fall asleep with Dr Shep.

The most effective thing that I found that helped me was the great feedback that I received from the professor and from working in groups where my classmates gave feedback. It was very effective. Great professor but you need to meet with him when you have trouble.

He will actually sit down you and go step by step. Classes were fun and he was so willing to work with me online and out of class. He even sends out reminders on emails. He smart and hilarious as well.

He is a very effective wit helping his students write great essays. The way he simplified the learning assignments whenever we got stuck. This class is not difficult; however you need to be ready to ask questions to clarify as some of assignments can be challenging.

I'm not what you'd call a great writer, but this class taught me how to write. We didn't do much in college comp but in Shepherdson's class he focuses on having you read from an angle . In high school we wrote summaries but he teaches you to analyze. His feedback made the the difference. Easy class unless you don't read or try.

This is not your typical writing class. Dr. Shep is hilariously funny and smart. I'm at FAU now, so watch out for teachers who play games. What I learned in his class helped me.

Took Dr. Shep for two classes. He teaches 1101 and 1102. Transferred out of PBSC for FAU. His classes prepare you for any college writing as he has afew in class writings but all the writings end online. Plenty of time was given to complete!

You'll always find Dr. Shep with a welcoming smile and handouts for the day's lessons. You work in groups but no group projects. Few projects and a replacement project if you messed up on an in class one.

I like how his class schedule allows you to work ahead. Before you walk into class you know the assignments that are due.

Professor has students write two in class papers on short stories. Those stories helped me a lot with the literature class I had to take. We break the stories down in group work which made learning fun. Found the class very worthwhile.

Stugglng or failing a class or being passed like some of my classmates who can't read or write. You'll love the class if just do the work. He cares about your college success and helps you reach it. But there is work. He spends time helping you, in the class and online where you post your writings.

Not many assignments and most of the grades are not final except a few. If you don't like your grade, you have lots of time to fix it.

This instructor helps students with more than writing papers. He provides an updated schedule thathat allows you to work ahead, and there are so many support files and class notes that now I'm considering taking online courses. Materials and assignments prepared me for a number of classes.

Hadn't been in school in years, and I'm not a good writer. Professor's attitude and patience gave me much courage. I visited his office a few time. Always patient and gave extra whenever we visit with him or a tutor.

I hate group projects and thankfully there is none of that. There's group projects but works are all on you. Tobe successful you outline your projects and check with him. Easy class.

To earn an A, I needed to show up but I skipped some classes to Mae the class deadlines. Attendance is graded but the projects are the key. Classroom and materials helped a lot.

Okay so I looked at this professors ratings and they were not that great but I decided to take him anyways because I needed a class and a credit. Over all he is a great teacher but you have to work. He's always available during office hours and really pushes his students to be better. Make sure you want to improve research abilities.

Not for the weak or the weary, A Lot of work but if you tutor with him, there is no way you will not get an A. He is always available but very specific in what he wants from your papers. Very smart and I learned so much from him. If your lazy, don't take him. If you want to learn, he is your guy!

He's a great person, but I don't see him as a professor. I love talking with him, but when it comes down to the work, I do not understand what to do because he talks so fast and doesn't stay on topic he'll end up talking about somthing that has nothing to do with the work and I end up getting an F becuase i do not understand.

You want to pass?? Take him, he asks for a lot of writing, and he does tutor but the final test is almost 45% and up of your grade so you will pass.
