Ok, rumor has it that he is the best statistics teacher at AVC. when you listen to him you will learn, yes learn. No attendance but you must come to class to understand whats going on. He is goofy but clear so you can take very good notes. this is a hard math course so I recommend him big time

I hate math so much and he made it almost. . .easy for me. He's great, very helpful and a pleasant person as well. He does his best not to make students feel intimidated and truly wants to help us learn, not make us fail.

I would def take this teacher again for any math class. He made stats so easy to understand and he is a easy grader as well. Very approachable.

Quite possibly the best Stats teacher in the WORLD. I suck at math and I hate it and failed Geometry twice. I took this class after not having taken a math class in over five years and got a B! He makes is incredibly easy to understand and will go over something a million times if you need him to. TAKE HIS CLASS!

He makes class easy, although you've got to read your book to understand 100%. he's highly recommended by many people and he's pretty easy. if you pay attention, you will pass.

Mr.Sieger is off the hook!!!! He is excellent at teaching. I was afraid of taking this math class and he has eased my fears. He explains everything step by step, even how to input the equation on the calculator!! No one will fail in his class if you do your homework, and take all your tests

He loves teaching this subject and is willing to answer all questions in class, but he's not to helpful in one on one help. He throws out the lowest grade from 1 quiz and 1 exam. This bumped my grade from a D to a B - cant complain!

I thought stats was going to be hard, but this guy makes stats easy and fun. I have a three hour class each week and I love it

I wasnt sure about taking stats. I heard it was going to be incredibly hard but after having dr. siegar explain everything. Piece of cake. I got 100 on my first test, 99's on my 2nd and 3rd. And i never did one homework problem. As long as you take notes on what he goes over in class.. you'll be fine!

I suck at math and I was able to pass this class. He actually stayed after to help me, nice. Test are multiple choice. he tosses out the lowest grade and give xtra credit. Although I still had to get a tutor I would have never taken another teacher for this subject. Seiger rules!!! passed with a B

I took his statistics class, and was actually a little bored. However, he was a really good teacher. If you're not very good at math, i would recommend him, because he explains the subject more than one way, which is why I was bored, I understood the first time, but sat through the rest still. He's weird, and seems hyper, but really nice.

He is such an awesome teacher. Im horrible at math.. and passed his class with an A. I didnt do one homework problem. You just have to make sure you show up for the reviews and study the notes he gives and you'll do fine. I wish i could have him teach all my classes!

I was not sure what to think at first, but he is a great professor. He is brilliant, and he has an over all excitement for math. Its refreshing to see someone so excited for the subject they teach. The class is difficult if you don't study, but he comes up with great techniques to help you remember formulas. I learned alot. Definite recomendation.

I really enjoyed his class, he makes it fun and refreshing. You do have to study, but he teaches exactly what's going to be on the test. I recommend him to anyone taking Math 115.

He will do whatever it takes to make you do well. His quizzes are just like the homework, and his tests are just like the quizzes. He goes over every homework assignment (which is not even turned in). I think he is fun and fair and I do highly recommend him as a teacher!

Really great teacher. I dropped stats before because I thought it was so hard, but then took it again with Siegler and got an A. He spells it out for you, making the math easy. As long as you attend his lectures consistently, it is very easy to get a good grade. Don't even need the book if you take notes and show up everyday.

He's the greatest professor. REALLY EASY!!! He spells everything out and tells you exactly what will be on the test, alot of the ?'s are on the weekly quizes. He's awsome. Anyone can pass his class. Loved him.

My advice to you is to buy the book and do the unmandatory homework.The way he lectures is a little useless if you don't.

Just the word "Statistics" makes it sound easy- 4 out of 5 dentists surveyed" ... the subject is quite difficult. Professor Sieger was a big help to me, and made himself available for answering questions. Not really a fan of math, but this professor got me through it, so I am a fan of his.

Excellent teacher! would recommend him to anyone, makes class easy to understand and explains in different ways until you do understand. HW is optional, but recommend doing it, bcuz it helps with the quizzes/tests. Super easy class. Recommend his 100%!!!

MR SIEGER ROCKS!!! He is so helpful and he knows his stuff! he is by far the best teacher i have had!! he goes over the non mandatory homework in the beginning of every class and does the problems that will be on the quiz the test are just like the quizzes but with different numbers and the final is just like the tests. He also tells you six of the 13 problems that will be on the final and you get to drop your 3 lowest quiz grades. AND your final replaces your lowest test grade! He is a very good teacher. He teaches at a good pace. If you do not understand a problem he will take the time out to make sure you do. He gives homework but you do not have to turn it in. His class consists of quizzes and tests.

Mr.Sieger is the graetest math teacher I have ever had!I had him for stats, and it was the last math class I needed.I wasn't looking forward to this class,but he made everything so much easier.He has his own way of teaching, I'm not really sure what it is...but it works!Take Sieger if you wwant to understand math, and enjoy it as well :)

Great teacher. I can't say enough about him. Clear lectures, homework not turned in but weekly tests on homework or notes. Actually made statistics easy. Very sweet and kind but sticks to his rules. Will go out of his way to help you if you request it. Homework and tests graded promptly.

He made've been goofy (and at times, annoying), but he is really a great teacher. Homework not mandatory because he does it on the board the next class section. But it is recommended to do so. Plus if you don't get the assignment, ask him and he will help you. Overall, a very good teacher to have for Statistics.

This is the only professor you should take for Statistics! I am not really interested in math and I wanted to take calculus with him because if any professor could teach this subject and help the uninterested succeed he could!Enjoy!

He is easy. He does the homework at the beginning of class so I never had to do it. Everything on the quizzes is what will be on the test so study the quizzes. Tests are only 10-12 questions long and one of them is a bonus. Saturday is the best class never stayed the whole time and had more time to plus he follows his syllabus.

He is a great professor, very easy to understand but if you wanna get a good grade in his class you gotta do the homework.

Professor Sieger is so awesome that I took the time to come rate him! He is such a sweetheart. Completely helpful & charismatic. He will make sure you understand what he is talking about. His quizzes and tests are easy as long as you understand the information and they are short as well! Homework isn't mandatory. I completely recommend him! :)

If you don't like Math and you need a class to transfer, take him. You don't need the book, you don't need to do HW, you have 4 quizzes, 3 test, and the final. Notes will help for quizzes, quizzes + notes + ask for a review the day before the test will help you for the test. His laugh though, it does get annoying, great guy though.

Professor Sieger is AMAZING! I was really scared to take a STATS class because I have never really been great at math, However, professor Sieger makes everything so easy to understand, and he gives you hints about what questions might be on your test. He also goes over the homework during class, and what he goes over will most likely be on the quiz

Best math teacher I've ever had!! Btw don't waste the money on the book. You absolutely never use it. Just take notes and listen to everything he says and u will pass with little effort at all. He is great at explaining things and there is No Homework ever!!! This class made me love math again :)

Mr. Sieger was recommended to me by another AVC instructor. Very good instuctor. Loved the class. There IS homework, which you will need the book for. Tests are from class lectures, so write everything down he writes on the board. That helped me alot! I was not bored & looked forward to class. If u r lazy & dont study, u deserve to fail.

The most amazing Math teacher I have ever had. Sieger is extremely kind, extremely helpful, and extremely smart. He makes things easy with his kind of teaching. The book is not required, since he writes all the homework problems. If you have to take a math class, take him! This professor is true to his students, and wants to see you succeed.

Professor Sieger is one of the best teachers I have ever had. Although I already enjoy Math quite a bit he makes it comical, less cumbersome, and even exciting. You don't need the book at all except for the homework (which he provides the first 4 weeks of in the syllabus). He is very thoughtful and kind. TAKE HIM IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION!

I have so much respect for this teacher. He really knows stats and explains it really well. Don't think its an easy A though a lot of people did fail because they did not pay attention. Pay attention and you are sure to pass. Homework is optional and there's quizzes every week.

One of the most talented teachers at AVC. You can tell how good a math teacher is by how many times they are interrupted with questions in the middle of the lesson. No one ever asked anything during or after lecture. He taught everything with perfect clarity. Take him if math is hard for you, or if it's easy! It was easy for me because of him!

The class was engaging and well taught. Although we didn't use the book at all, he derives his own material from it. It's very similar to the book, so it can be used as a reference. He was clear in his teaching, exams directly reflected course material (notes and homework), and class exam averages were always good.

Prof. Sieger takes some getting used to at first, but he's really a good professor. Personally I found the class to be really easy, so I rarely showed up to class and got an A in the class. The grade is all tests but most of the students do very well on the tests. When I took the class as high as 60% of the students got A's on the tests.

Dr. Sieger was one of the most informative and best teachers that I had at AVC. I would HIGHLY recommend this professor!

Mr. S is the BEST! I could not comprehend math until his class. Material can be a challenge, but he makes it easy. He grades fair and if you remember formulas, write them on the test he gives a little credit. At first he seems a little off, but when you get to know him he is extremely intelligent in his subject area. Take him you will not regret!!

Mr. Sieger is wonderful teacher! I am not, in particular going into the math field & was worried, but Mr. Sieger taught so well I could understand every thing in the book clearly. The book wasn't as helpful as Mr. Sieger & besides he has a special personality. U will have to study though and remember the math. Take time to study each chapt & guide.

Class was so easy!He is a really good teacher, straight and to the point. Mr goes over the homework assigned during every lecture. Homework is not mandatory, but I would advise to do it for good grades on tests and pop quizes that he announces hes going to give. he sends out an email saying the book is not required til like the 6th week.

Great teacher! Will definitely make you understand stats with no problems. He's a very goofy guy too which makes the class fun! He'll make these corny jokes and laugh at them himself haha. His laugh reminds me of Sheldon Cooper's laugh! :p But overall, great teacher! Very helpful! Definitely recommend taking him.

Great teacher. He is very clear and will answer all your questions. There is a small quiz after every class that is used on the test. Also the final is made up from the quiz/tests so study those and you'll ace the final. He is honestly the best teacher.

He was an excellent professor very funny and gave great notes never needed to go to tutoring or use the book. He gave 4 quizzes and drops the lowest 2 and he hands you back every exam quick and writes good notes and the answers to the problems on the back. There is no homework just need to really study and do good on the exams. Amazing professor

If you HATE math, and can't do well in it, TAKE HIM! He is the best at professor, he does not exhausts you with all that info like most math professors do. no need for book so that should be a big plus since the book is very expansive. You will have to try hard to fail his class. Take notes that will help you ace the tests and quizzes!

HW given in packet form. We never used the book. He tells you exactly what he wants you to know, but you still need to study. 3 tests 1 final. If any 3 tests are lower scores than final the final grade will be doubled and the other grade dropped. Class wasn't too easy or too hard. He does say it is made for the "C" student. 4 quizzes, 3 best kept.

Great, humble guy. He really wants every student to succeed. Textbook was good for practice problems, but not required in any means. Grading criteria is clear; quizzes aren't difficult, tests aren't that bad if you STUDY. If you aren't great at math, go to his office hours. Otherwise, pretty typical calculus class!

I took him twice and would definitely take his class again. He is always willing to help even if it is something simple or that he's already explained several times. Homework is optional but it definitely helps to do it.

I took two classes with Richard Sieger in the 1990's. He teaches math so well and makes it seem so easy, that I actually thought about going back to earn a degree in mathematics. By the second class, I not only understood and laughed at his math jokes, but was doing calculus in my head.
