Prof. Strader is by far the BEST english teacher in the history of english classes. He makes me want to become an english professor (but they don't make enough moo-lah for me *wink*) Take this class!!!

I have had him for 101 and 102, and I will take him for Great Books because he is the best prof in the department. Anyone who does not like his class is just lazy. I think the maximum a paper had to be in his class was 6 pages max.

THE man. The best teacher I have had so far at Wright State. He makes me want to come to class everyday, which is a first. It would be unwise if you passed up his class for some other Wright State professor, who can't live up to his standards of sweetness.

I had him 15 years ago and he is the only gen-ed prof that I could remember. Very interesting class. We disagreed on politics many times, but it made me focus on writing just to try to make good arguments and prove him wrong.

This is one of the best professors i have ever had. All though high school i hated english. "Uncle Rick" made his class so fun that it is the only class i went to every day my whole first year year here. If you're tired of the same old boring english class-take Strader!

Class wasn't the easiest (he was a little strict on the grading of papers and essays), but if you pay attention and go to class, you should be able to get an A pretty easily. He is also a pretty interesting guy and he really seems to love the books that we talked about. That helps a lot.

Read the books and go to class! The class is interesting and he uses unique tools to help students better understand the content. He is very laid-back and likes to hear student's opinions. Take the class if you have the opprotunity!

Probably the easiest 102 teacher there is... He doesn't believe in busy work. Really good at helping students learn to write a balanced argument. You really have to go to class though, because he doesn't have a clear syllabus (there's no specific dates for assignments)... I'd recommend him.

He's a good teacher and he knows it. He takes the books we read and helps us to apply them to our lives. We only had to write one formal paper, which was nice. The exams on each of the books consisted of a short answer/tf/matching quiz and a second part that was two essay questions. Good class!

Highly Recommend Him! He teaches you how to look at different perspectives and see both sides of an arguement. He mentioned he just doesn't give out A's so if he does give you an A on a paper you truly earned it. The class wasn't difficult but he did challenge your style of writing. If you do whats required you should end up with a good grade.

I was recommended this teacher, with good reason! He's a great teacher, and really makes you think. I put that it was a fairly difficult class, and it was, but if you're not ready for that, you're probably not ready for college yet. If you work hard and think critically, it's a great class to be in. If you're lazy, he's not the teacher for you.

Today was the last day in English 204 :(. I did not want the class to end.I shed some tears.I am so thankful that I took Strader. I loved his personality and the way he taught class. Seems like everything has already been said. There wasn't once a day where I dread going to his class. Just be clever and honest when writing your papers and you'll be fine. Although most of our classes were therapeutic, Strader respects and understands each individual; there are no pretenses with him.

All I can say is TAKE HIS CLASS. You won't regret it even though he makes you work for an A. He brings real world topics to the table and women's issues are always used for discussions. I went into this class a bit skeptical, but WOW did it turn out to be a great class. I remember walking out on the last day feeling borderline upset that I would not be returning back the next week. I will definitely reccomend his classes, and hopefully be talking another class in the future.

Class was overall a fairly easy class, you wont do a whole lot the first month of class. You will have one group project that has to be presented in front of the class, and of course a term paper that you do mostly the last month and half of class. Overall would recommend him show up to class, do assignments on time, and participate a bit, get an A

His assignments and grading policies are fair. You MUST attend class and participate or he will fail you. He's definitely not a pushover and won't put up with lame excuses.

Taking this class was life-changing. You talk about things that actually matter. You learn so much about yourself and those around you and you really connect with everyone in the classroom. Sometimes there are topics you don't want to discuss but it's better if you do. You discover new perspectives. All I can say is, take this class.

This is a professor that values your passion on a subject. Hes not like other college professors he knows that students are human beings but also sees the great potential in them. This was an amazing chance for students to come together and hear what others have to say about real world topics that effect us all, whether we are aware of it or not. This class is essentially a big discussion between students about politics, race, and other important topics. It will change your life! I honestly wish I could take it again. Mr. Strader is a tough grader, but he outlines what he wants clearly in the rubrics, and there were only 3 papers for my class. Use lots of descriptions and you'll do fine.

Mr. Strader is a wonderful professor. He talks about the controversial conflicts that are happening today such as the woman's march. If you show up and participate, do well on the quiz, group project and the final paper, you will pass the class. He will challenge your thinking and open your mind.

Entire semester is working toward one big paper so pick something you want to write about. Class time is all discussion about different topics (politics, race relations, etc). A lot of your grade depends on participation so be sure to join in on the debate. Rick is a good prof and is willing to talk after class if need be. Makes you work for an A.

Prof. Strader did an amazing job with this class. The essays were not overwhelming and the majority of the class was spent discussing world and english topics. He grades fairly and quickly, and if you put in effort you will see results. This english class definitely changed some of my world views and I would love to take another class from him.
