Great cuz theres no class. U just need to have an appointment with him for each unit. theres 6 units in semester meaning u only have to be at school for him basically once every 3 weeks for the 15min app. 1 essay per app. but essay question is opinion

Very easy professor. Doesn't give a lot of work. The class is rather easy. Just do what you have to and you will have no problem. If you fail this class, then you have a problem. There is no reason why anyone should get lower than a 'C'.

Easy, understanding teacher. I handed in my final paper 2 weeks late, and he still accepted it and did not take any points off. Without trying, I got a B+.

He's a very easy teacher. He likes to talk alot, but its good because all you have to do is do your work and turn it in on time and you'll get a an A or B. However, the more effort, the higher your grade will be.

He literally wrote the book on the basics of writing. He's really understanding and helpful. If you put in the effort, the class is easy to pass.

I just finished taking his class over the summer, and it's quite easy. Just come to class otherwise two absences led to failing the class. He gives you the midterm and final question. The final and midterm are to describe the story and if you agree or disagree. I had one about Howard Gardner and Multiple Intelligences and the final was about Lewi

Strugala is the BEST english teacher i've ever had! Hes funny and really down to earth. He's not like usual english teachers....a good thing!! Definately take his classes. I took 4 classes with him and i got "A's" everytime!

I took his individualized class for ENG121 and it was the best English class I've ever taken. As long as you have the assignments done he grades very easily and even goes out of his way to make sure you have an appointment when you need help or more time. Awesome teacher!!!

He is a really nice prof! His independent study courses are nice because he goes over your papers with you if you meet with him during his office hrs. for your class. He also gives you an informative lesson in the lit. for that unit. There are a lot of papers but overall he is a really nice prof. so that kind of makes up for the amount of work.

A lot of essays, but its a comp course so wut do u expect? There are alot of topics to choose from, so you can pick an easy topic if you like. essays are 2-3 pgs. 1 every 2 weeks with a few lil easy hw assign. and final research paper and a final exam. Smooth course. very helpful, understanding prof. very pleasant.

Very good teacher. He knows what he's doing. I took his class as an individualized study course which means you meet with him for about 7 appointments all semester. I did not like the style of the class, but this guy was great. Pays a lot of attention to structure, format, and grammar. Definitely recommend.

Had him for Independent Study so I never actually met him. Very fair grader. A lot of reading, but the selections are really good. For IS you have 18 weeks to do 12 papers at various lengths and a final. I'd highly recommend him.

Took both individualized English courses for him. His class wasn't easy, so be prepared to work. He EXPECTS progress in each new assignment, so make sure you show it. Don't miss your appointments, period. Otherwise you get all notice to assignments, so there are no surprises in his class. Overall he is a great professor!

Dr. Strugala is amazing! I took both of his US Lit independent study courses last spring and he is so cool. I have never met him but he is a true gentleman. Be prepared to work though, as he expects a lot of effort be put into the assignments he gives. He gives a lot of work. I got A's both times I had him

I had him for individualized english for 1 semester, he is very fair and very helpful, just do his assignments how he wants them done and u should pass with no problems, just always show up to ur appointments or else ull fall behind.

I took him for individualized, which is great. You only come for the first 2 classes, 6 appointments, and the final exam. If you do what he asks, which isn't much, you should get an A. I didn't but I didn't do everything. For the final, you can all but pre-write your essay. There's no reason really to get anything below an A with him.

This man is absolutely amazing. I wish I knew about him sooner so i could take him in more classes. He is really really great. He starts great class discussions and is so understanding and clear. TAKE HIM YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

After 2009 fall semester, I truly realized many skills to effectively and logically write my thoughts on paper. It was great experience to work with Dr. Strugala individually. This is why I am taking his course, ENG 122, in order to "learn" in 2010 spring semester.

I took him because I was told he's an "easy grader." I don't think he is, I have had to work this semester! But I've also learned a lot, and when I listen to his advice even from these short appointments, my writing sounds so much more professional! I kind of hear his advice in my head as I write, and so I go back & change things.

I took this professor for 121 and 122 and he is probably one of the best English professors in MCC. He's very helpful and it's almost impossible to get lower than a C in his class. Make sure you come early and prepared to his class or he will point you out and make you feel like crap.

He is a great professor. I took him for ENG 122, he tells you exactly when he wants everything and how he wants it. My class was individual so you just show you for your appointments and as long as you show up with your work and show you've tried you'll do fine. Make sure you're on time or early!

You will not regret taking him! You will learn how to actually write and sound professional. Be prepared to write about 5 essays, and 1 research paper, but they are not hard, so don't sweat it. Unless you write like a 4th grader then you will probably not get an A or B. Other than that, TAKE HIM and you will learn, AND GET AN A, trust me!

I had this professor for individualized class and it was great. He gives 4 essays and then 1 research paper. He tells you exactly what he expects on each paper. Pretty easy class just do your work and show up to your appointments and you will do well!

Fantastic teacher. I highly stress taking him, he makes english fun. He picks great topics and is extremely fair and helpful when it comes to grading. You're lucky to have him!

Dr. Strugala is awesome. I don't know how he even does it, but somehow meeting with him for the appointments taught me so much. Just listen to what he says and do it. By the end of the class, you will look back and realize that you DID learn a lot. Being able to actually teach is a gift! He's also nicer than he seems, really.

Take him for English 121 and 122 as Individual Study and you are guaranteed to pass. Of course you still have to work and come to the appointments, but it is a very easy and well-structured class with 6 appointments and the final, which you can prepare for. This was my last English class ever (except grad school?) and I finally got an A!

I had Professor Strugala for my first class at MCC and I must say he was a great teacher! Since I attended the bridge course, I only had his class for a week, but I learned so much and was able to increase my writing score from a 5 to a 7 by the end of the course. Highly recommend, great teacher :o)

If your comparing professors to see which one to take, STOP NOW!! If he is open go and take him! He fills up really fast and your lucky if he's open. I took him for 121 and I'm taking him for 122. I just got my grade back and got an A! Oh and when you take him, don't be late! He is so sweet and nice. He's their to HELP.Best professor hands down.

Okay guys here is the thing. He is a really nice professor but do not take the ENG 121 Individualized Class unless you are really really good at English. As I said above he is a nice professor so you might wanna consider taking him for regular ENG 121..

I had him for a Film & Lit class, it was wonderful. He only lectured the first and last days of the course and gave easy assignments in-between.

I took Dr. Strugala for the individualized approach. He is by no means an easy professor, but if you listen to him and work on what he tells you to improve, your writing will get significantly better. I transfered to OU, but he was by far the best professor I had at M.C.C. You will learn a great deal.

Had him for English 121 individualized, which i didn't know until the first day of class. But he is really helpful and you have to read the book carefully. He has a pet peeve if you do MLA formats wrong so be careful with that. Overall he is a pretty good teacher.

Soooo easy. This class was an easy A. He says its not but it is. Didnt know it was individualized till I got there but man was that awesome. Enjoyed not having to show up every week to sit in some boring lecture. All you do is write like 5 papers and thats it. So simple. Hes a nice guy in my opinion. Take him!

Individualized is a great concept. You meet once every two weeks at an appointment time you choose. He goes over every word of your essay(which there are 6 in total). Hes very helpful and truly wants you to improve your writing. The course alternates between in class essays and home essays. He's a fine teacher to have and is worth taking.

I took the individualized course and I loved every minute of it . He is very flexible and gives you one on one attention. He is always there when you need help and he does do retakes . I would recommend to take his individualized class and this professor.

Definitely taking Strugala for English 122! Best English professor I've had (I've gone through two others already, ugh). He really does want you to pass and he is a very good conversationalist, I really enjoy his passion with writing and he's a cute little man haha, he really made me want to give in a good paper for him.

Very easy grader and is very clear in how he wants you to write. there is a lot of reading and writing, but well worth it for an A. Definitely taking again.

The course was very easy in my opinion because I enjoy writing. His lecturing style is excellent. He is specific about what he expects on assignments which gave me an easy road-map of what I needed to do to get a good grade. I definitely recommend him for ENG 254 because I am extremely satisfied with his efforts as a professor in helping students.

Absolutely great professor. Very easy going. Lit & film is honestly an easy A if you go to class and write the papers & journals. There was a lot of writing but I got an A, take the course if you like writing. Awesome professor for ENG 254.

I took him for a individualized course. Basically, this meant I only had to show up for when he had to grade an essay. There were no lectures involved. He sits down with you one on one and reviews your essay. He clearly explains your mistakes and you even take notes so you know what not to do for next time. Would definitely take again.

very good professor, would take again. he has a quite different way of grading the paper which he divides the class into groups every group will come on a separate day and work with him in person. it is very nice and a new way that gives you a lot of time and chances to improve yourself. and he is willing to help too.

Prof Strugala gives you plenty of time to complete papers and gives great feedback. He enjoys when you ask questions about an assignment and will explain until you understand, he really enjoys what he does. He's not much about using Canvas or posting things online, really the only negative.

He's a great professor to take when you are loaded down with coursework for other classes. We only wrote about 3 papers and he cancels class a lot. He does not require a textbook. He does not keep up with grades though and he does not always inform the class that it was canceled. Other than that he's super easy and doesn't assign a lot of work.

He canceled class a lot and did not assign a lot of work. He has workshops where you just sit around with a few classmates and read your papers. Basically only needed to show up for in class essays and when assignments were due or assigned which wasn't often. He does not tell you your grade until you find out at the end of the semester.

He is very focused on helping students reflect on their writing to help students understand how to go deeper and how they can improve. Sometimes he has some very irrelevant classes but you will be a lot more self aware about what kind of writer you are once you take him. I think he helped take my writing to the next level.

A nice, chill guy who's an easy grader. Goes off topic sometimes, but it's fun and a relaxed environment. He takes FOREVER to grade- but he had health issues. Lightens your workload, and cancels class pretty frequently which I'm ok with. Will take him again for Eng 122.

I had him for Literature & Film. It's the easiest course. You spend all class watching movies and there are occasional lectures. He is an easy grader on the journal entries & also easy on the essays. I'd reccomend him to anyone that will go to class and write a few short papers. Least time-consuming course of my college career. I'd recommend him.

I had Strugala for ENG-121 this Fall, remote-online lecture. He is funny and sarcastic. Plenty of time to complete assignments and somewhat clear directions, just make sure to pay attention. The only thing is that you don't know your grade until the very end because he grades by hand. I would it again though.

Had Professor Strugala for the Spring 2021 semester this year. Great Professor and he helps his students really understand how to write essays. I would take him again if I could.

A fabulous professor for Lit & Film. Very passionate & knowledgeable about the subjects that he teaches. Writing assignments are fairly easy, and straightforward. Highly recommended
