I've had travis for col.algebra & mat 1153&1163. he is by far the best math prof. ever! He explains things, in a way you can understand,& Usual C/D makers, can get an A if they try hard. He is the best math prof. ever, it's hard to get into his classes, so if you see an opening, TAKE IT! Easy tests!

TAKE THIS TEACHER!!! Seriously, he's great! He makes it easy to understand and he'll help you if you need it. He also will go over a problem if somebody doesnt get it! Plus, he's funny...and a bit weird! Oh yeah and he has a shirt that says "FRIJOLERO!!!" No that's a great professor!

Mr. Travis is so awesome! I was so afraid of taking College Algebra because I hadn't been able to pass my remedial courses. But he changed the way I feel about math! It's not so bad after all. In fact, I have an A now! Take him! He's so funny, too. That's a plus!

As an Eng. major who really doesn't get math at all ,(I failed it on TASP several times), I love this man. I actually got an A in the class. He works enough problems in class that you won't forget how to do homework later. Cute too!

He's a great college algebra professor. He's pretty funny and explains it so well even I understood it after failing math throughout highschool. I managed to get an A in his class, definitely recommend him for people who hate math.

He is a sweetheart. Takes lots of time to work out and explain steps to problems. Will help you after class, tutoring, homework is extra credit, tests are not bad, laid back attitude. Highly recommended! :)

AWESOME PROF! NEVER BEEN GOOD AT MATH IN MY LIFE. I TOOK COLLEGE ALGEBRA 2 TIMES AND FAILED AND TOOK 2 YEARS OF COLLEGE IN REMEDIAL CLASSES (WASTE OF MONEY). TOOK TRAVIS IN 5-WK SUMMER CLASS AND PASSED WITH AN A!!! I WISH SOMEONE WOULD HAVE RECOMMENDED HIM MY FIRST YEAR HERE. I WOULD HAVE SAVED ALOT OF TIME, MONEY, AND NO STRESS WITH MATH. LOVE HIM

This teacher is the light at the end of that dark tunnel. He is a proven professional and enjoys watching you learn. He has short cuts and math tricks which will make you say hmmmmmmmm. He can make probability, statistics,log , geometry using coordinates, slope-intercept equation of a line. slope point seem like childs play. Take his class....

He is a great math teacher. Math is so easy when he teaches it. There isn't any "busy work" to fill time. When he's through with his lesson class is over. He's very helpful and nice. I wish all math teachers were like him.

Awesome professor! He made math understandable and helped me out when I needed extra credit. Only 3 tests (including Final) and only 10 questions. Grades easy and attendance not mandatory.

On our first day of class he told us to sell our books back. Despite the fact that he's overqualified to teach 1043 by miles, he didn't blow it off. Basically, if you can, take him. If his harder classes are anything like 1043 in terms of difficulty, I'll take him again.

GET IN THIS CLASS hes an excellent teacher. no book necessary and his tests are identical to the review. Hes funny and uses examples that college students can relate to. He will make it easy for anyone to understand.

Travis is an amazing teacher! I hate math but his teaching style is so laid back and he explains everything extremely well and goes over everything several times. He adds humor to his classes and that is what makes him an awesome teacher! You only had to turn in the homework for extra points on the exams. Reviews are exactly like the exams! AWESOME

Do you suck in math? Does the word "algebra" make you want to curl up in the fetal position and start crying? Then take this professor! He makes everything clear somehow! I don't know how he does it, and I don't care. For me to get a B in a math class is a miracle!

It is impossible to fail with this teacher. He makes class interesting and provides opportunities to retest. I'm horrible at math and I managed to get a B. If I would've tried harder, I could've gotten an A. I HIGHLY recommend this teacher. He is worth it.

This class is the easiest math class seriously. I could have made an A if I tried harder but a B will just do, if you can take him for both Elementary Education Math classes, take my advice and do it.

I'm absolutely shocked that a college class could be this easy. He's pretty funny and he shows you lots of cool tricks and different ways of thinking about simple math. The only thing is he misses a lot of classes and has his mom sub for him. Which is weird.

great teacher...explains things in ways that I had never thought about.... very funny I think his humor kept the class interested and with all those technical terms, he still managed to kept the class engaged...VERY understanding...he made me feel at ease...even if im a nervous wreck..hes very smart...easily can get an A. highly recommended....

He is an amazing professor and loved his class! I took him for the summer session and recommend him as a professor. I truly HATE math and he made me enjoy it and like it. So he is a really good teacher for making me like math when math is my weakest subject and dislike it very much. So two thumbs up for mr Travis and is available to help when you need him! He is open to all sorts of opportunities he can get and have!

I HATED ALGEBRA until I found Professor Travis. I had either dropped or failed college algebra FOUR times. He is clear. He is concise. He is a funny guy and very helpful. Probably the best professor of my entire college career. This guy is worth waking early or going to the downtown UTSA campus. Fit him into your schedule.

Such a funny and easy going teacher. I hate math but loved his class because he explained everything so clearly! Only way you will fail his class if you show up to the test w/out prior knowledge to the material, seriously take his class! Assigns 3-5 problems for hw but doesn't pick it up and you don't need the book which is a plus!

Super easy class. You don't need to show up unless you haven't done math in a few years. The class is mostly Seniors trying to get their Math credit done before graduation. Don't buy the textbook. We showed up on the first day and said we didn't need it. Overall he's a funny and easy teacher. Gives lots of opportunities to get at least a C.

I LOVE MR. TRAVIS. He is a wonderful instructor. He makes math so easy and is absolutely hilarious. It makes going to class not so bad. (: I really wish I was able to take him for 1163, but he is only teaching downtown this fall :( but I totally recommend him! If you need a math credit for a non-businessscience degree, TAKE THIS CLASS! Hands down, the absolute easiest class I've ever taken. Travis is awesome and laid back. The material isn't hard to begin with (I have a 100 average). Theres 3 tests and a Q assignment, thats it. Tests are super easy. Homework isn't required but its extra credit on tests.

I love this guy, and I wish that I had known about him sooner. The class is crazy easy. We're allowed to use notes, homework, test review, and a cheat sheet on the tests. You won't need to buy a textbook or MyMathLab code. There's homework assigned and it's gives you extra credit on the tests (3 tests per semester). If you don't do well on a test, he will let you study more and retake it. He makes class fun, makes sure everybody understands what's going on before moving on, and engages the class in his sessions.

The easiest Algebra class you will ever take ANYWHERE, AT ANY UNIVERSITY. We had 3 test, homework was considered extra credit on your test but not mandatory. Your average is solely based on the 3 tests, did i mention that he lets you retake the test for a better grade? SCORE! You average those together and boom that is you FINAL grade. NO final!!

Only gave us 3 mandatory school test, never gave us math lab work, easy to learn off of, funniest professor I've had.

He only requires a graphing calculator for the class. He offers them to you if you don't have one. Only 3 tests for the class and they are easy. Funniest professor that you will ever have.

If you aren't a STEM major and are needing to get college algebra out of the way, he's your guy. Three easy 10 question multiple choice tests, no attendance required. That's it. So easy I can't believe he's real but I thank god every day. He also looks like the Trivago guy. TAKE HIM!

All around great professor. He explains math concepts very clearly and easy to understand. Very Helpful. He emails you the HW sheets for practice and you turn in with the test. He lets you know your test answers and your grades at every test so there is no confusion on your grade. I would definitely take him again. FUNNY guy!

I was really scared to take math but going off these reviews was the best choice. There are only three testes which your grade is based off but don't get scared he assigns homework for extra credit so its optional you do not need the book he is funny and very caring. I will take again for my next math class.

Soon top of being cute, he is super easy. I got an A in his class easily. Most people don't show up until exam day. The exams consist of 10 to 12 questions, and there are only 3, no final! I must mention this was the easiest class ever and i always dreaded math!

Professor Travis is easily one of the finest professors I've ever had in my college career. Just take him. He is literally the best mathematics teacher I have ever had, and I am HORRIBLE at math. I literally got a high A in the class and enjoyed it too. He is really chill, and really just teaches you what to know. He gets that we have other classes as well, so he does a great job of working around your schedule if you ask. TAKE HIM!!!!!!!

The BEST math professor / teacher Ive ever had. He clearly explains the concepts so you UNDERSTAND what you're doing. He also teaches in a way that helps you apply math to every day life. seriously, If I took him in grade school I would probably have gone further in life. I recommend him to everyone and I learned a lot from his class.
