He is a pretty spectacular teacher and definitely a good choice if science isn't a strong subject for you. His teaching is pretty well organized and incase you don't get the material he makes sure you learn it.

One of the best teachers I've had at my Years at College of Dupage. Mr. Trent Really takes the cake when it comes to helpfulness and clarity of content. Mr. Trent is a very cool guy. By the third week in we were a super tight class. I hate chemsitry but he made it fun. He allows you to retake tests, and we met before class every Monday Wednesday to study with a large group, with him there to help us. He really cares about your success, just dont let his goofiness take up too much class time.

I am currently taking his class and he is an amazing teacher! He really wants you to do well in his class. As long as you are listening, asking questions, and doing everything that is asked, you will receive the grade you want. DO NOT be hesitant to take him!! I was iffy about taking an 8am but it was totally worth it for how amazing his class is!

Professor trent is definitely one of my favorite professors. The class is not necessarily easy, but if you do homework and study like a student is supposed to then you shouldnt have a problem with this class. He has study groups after every class, and does everything he can to help you out. Take this professor for 1211. No regrets at all.

Professor Trent is amazing. His class is not easy because he does his best to make sure you actually learn everything and not just memorize things that you'll forget the day after finals. Put in the work, and he will help you and inspire you to succeed in his class. Also, hes pretty much ALL KNOWING about everything which is pretty awesome.

I took professor Trent for Chem 1211 and I really enjoyed it. Chemistry itself didn't really interest me but he tries to make lectures and lab fun. He also genuinely cares about you doing well. There's homework online that has to be done but it helps to practice the material. i enjoyed having him as a teacher and I would definitely take him again.

He knows the material very well and he is an excellent teacher. He will teach and you will learn. There is time consuming homework and the pace gets tougher (and the material) as the semester progresses. If you like to know your point total and exactly where you fit in for grades this will frustrate you terribly. Funny but wastes too much time.

This was by far my favorite class, and one of my favorite professors. The material is kind of hard, but Trent makes it easier. All of his lectures are easy to follow, he tells you what you need to write down, what you need to memorize, what you need to know on the test and etc. Labs are fun, he makes it enjoyable. This class is an easy A if you do the normal work of a class. There is tons of extra credit. Many people had over 100% in the class. He is very helpful teacher and stays after class to help you.

Chemistry is difficult but if you take it with Mr. Trent you will definitely pass the class with an A, if you stay on top of all the homework. During lecture, he tells you what to write down, what to memorize for exams and you get daily quizes. Lab is fun. I would highly recommend this class with him. He helps with any questions you may have.

Mr. Trent is hands down the most genuine teacher at COD. He cares for his students and actually enjoys teaching. He comes in every morning before class to help students and gives a lot of extra credit however I never did it so I'm not sure what it is like. He gives an assignment per chapter through mastering chem but is a super lenient grader.

Professor Trent is cool and will help you with any concerns or questions you may have however, he doesn't properly explain math formulas. He'll show you an example and then expect you to try and move onto another formula rapidly. Literally everything is based off his power points. May have attitude towards some students who are not his favorite.

Anyone who does not like this teacher is not putting forth the effort this class needs. I have never in my life had a teacher go so far out of his way to accommodate students. He does not have "favorites." If you are someone who takes advantage of him, or mouth of, he will address you differently. Put in the time and effort? Easy A. Take him.

Mr. Trent is so incredibly kind and truly wants to see his students succeed. There is homework for each chapter and the day homework is due, a quiz will be given that's worth five points. Tests are pretty easy and you are able to improve test grades by doing well on the final. Mr. Trent made the class really enjoyable. Highly recommend his class!!

I have never seen a professor go out of his way to help his students. After every class, instead of going on his break, he spends 2 hours in the library for any students who need additional help. He wants his students to succeed. He provides a ton of study material before tests. Responds to emails. Utilize all his resources and you will do well.

There is hw for every chapter (online), quizzes are when hw is due and about that same chapter so no surprises and for exams he gives a lot of review and practice test that is VERY similar to the actual test. There is a lot of extra credit opportunities throughout the course, but mainly at the start of the class, so do those, it'll help your grade alot!

By far the best professor I have ever had and I hate chemistry. powerpoints summarize the chapters very well and u very rarely have to open the book to get a better explanation. he is always at the library after class which allows students to get addtl help if needed. he genuinely cares for his students and it shows throughout the course.

I've never taken chem before this* Trent shows genuine care for his students & their academic success. Online hw will take several hours a week, but it has direct link to book for help. He posts tons of extra credit & extra practice. Has resurrection points. VERY understanding, helpful, & funny. Good grade if study & worked for-chem is still hard!

Mr. Trent really wants you to understand and cares about his students' learning. Having class online hasn't been easy, but he makes suitable adjustments for exams and late work. Has random quizzes at start of class, but you complete them in groups and have the whole day to submit it. Wish he didn't waste time asking the class if we had mics though.

He's a nice guy, but very slow and disorganized when it comes to grading. All the HW is on mastering, and its a lot of figuring out how to do the stuff yourself. The take home tests were okay, but he gives you a very short amount of time on timed tests. He's an easy grader. If you do good on the final it can replace previous test scores
