Pastor Turk is a very brilliant older gentleman, who has a passion for religion that outways all else except his love for his wife and students.

Knowledge is the key with Dr. Turk, he knows his information and does not say who's right or wrong. Class is totally open for discussion, not for quiet people who don't like to talk in front of people, just come to class and take notes on what he writes on the board and you will pass. Overall Great

His class is fun and interesting. I had him once a week at night for 3 hrs, but he made the time go by quickly cause his class is interesting. You will have fun.

Dr. Turk is great. He really knows what he is talking about. He loves discussion so most of the class is just an open discussion on how you think. Tests are easy, he gives you an outline. He is a great man. take his class!

Probably the most interesting and knowledgable teacher at FCCJ

I love the fact that even though his is a Christian, he doesn't force his beliefs onto the students who may not be Christian. He is knowledgeable about all religions covered in class and is the most unbiased teacher I know.

Classes are filled with discussions and tests are substituted for writing papers. If you like the topic, you may write a paper instead of taking the test. No homework is given, and he gives you a copy of notes which he goes over in class. Recommended to everyone.

Dr.Turk is the best teacher I have had so far. No quizzes, 8-10 page paper due, Mid term and final. There is never a boring moment in the classroom. He doesn't force his views on you. Very Interesting **Highly Recommend!

Dr. Turk is constantly improving his class and perfecting it. He is a very likable individual. The class was full of interesting people and went by fast. The workload is typical...a paper, a group project, 2 test, and a field experience w/paper. I liked the text. Taping the lectures would be smart. Very enlightening!

Dr. Turk is a very good professor. Not only can he teach, he is also very helpful and fair. His agenda for the class is clear, and he gives students ample of time to do a project or paper. If a student does not do well in this class, Dr. Turk will not be at fault. This class is more of a lecture class and participation class. You will do work.

Dr. Turk in my opinion is one of the greatest Professors. His teaching style is very entertaining and interesting. I enjoyed this class, mostly because of the stories he had from his past experiences. He is a man of knowledge and wisdom. I recommend you take this course, you will learn alot! Prof. Turk does a great job keeping his classes interesting and his students THINKING. An easy A if you show up for class, participate, and do a few assignments. And believe it or not, even though it's and easy A, you WILL learn the material... That's what makes him such a GREAT teacher.

Dr. Turk is one of the absolute best professors I've had. Make no mistake, he expects your turned in work to be good quality, but being present and taking part in class discussions also makes a big difference. He really makes students reflect and challenges them to view topics with an open mind. Take him if you can, and you'll be glad you did!

This is the most easiest class that a person can take. We were suppose to have a test after each chapter, NO TESTS!! THERE ARE NO TESTS TO TAKE, IF YOU HAVE PERFECT ATTENDANCE YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE THE MID TERM NOR THE FINAL!!. There is no reason to buy the book! You won't use it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Class was extremely easy. Learned lots!! Only main expectation from teacher is ATTENDANCE!! Requires a group project and response paper to a book you read from list he provides. Not nearly as bad as they seem at first!! Highly Recommend!

Great teacher. Knows what he is talking about. The whole class is a discussion. No tests as long as you prove in class that you have been studying. And perfect attendance exempts you from the midterm and final. 1 - 7 page paper and 1 - group project and thats the whole class.

The BEST!!! At first, I was just happy to know that as long as I came to class, I had no work except group project, 1-7page paper, and 1-3 page paper but by the end of class I had learned alot and enjoyed the class. This class tought me more than any other class I have taken.

turk is a great proffesor,he is open minded to a degree, but i will say he has an agenda.he wants you to view all religions as connected and its a touchy subject.easy to know what he WANTS to hear from you though.if you have no idea what to write for the papers, a few "i see how this religion is similar to mine" comments and your A+ is in the bag.

Is a great professor. Will challenge you to think, so don't open your mouth unless you are prepared to back your statements up. Will challenge non-believers to have an open mind. We have one in the class, and he is always made an example of.

I would have to disagree with the person before me who said his class was not interesting. If you come to class with an open mind, you will always learn at least 1 thing every time! I love this class and my knowledge on this subject is expanding.

You must take notes, a lot of notes. Attendance is an absolute must. He will teach you a lot. He will help if you speak with him. Every one should get an A if they want in his class.

If you are interested in the subject, he is the one to take! He gives you outlines and you take notes and you can use them and your own notes on the tests! not the book. There is a 3 page and a 7 page paper, but i got an 'a' on both and i'm not a great writer! this class will cause you to think with a more open mind about your religion and others.

The BEST ever! The worst thing about this class is that it ended so soon! I now have a new found respect for World Religions because of this class. I loved the way he taught, even though he picked on me and my friends who sat in the back corner talking (about world religions of course =) He turned out to be one of the best Professors I ever had

Amazing teacher and very fair. He teaches you ask the right questions to find your answers. Unbiased when teaching but will give his personal view if asked. And you can feel his love for you. Recommend taking his class.

Wonderful man; wonderful teacher! You will learn a tremendous amount. Read your book before class and review your notes because you will be questioned! Don't slack and ask questions... I repeat ask questions. Class participation is required as part of your grade, so is attendence. DO NOT MISS CLASS, but you won't want to, it is very interesting.

I ended the semester with an "A" because this professor is a "God send." He is not condescending, loves his students, prays for them everyday, and wants them to succeed. I did have to write a 7 page paper, which was difficult, but I got an "A" on that too. Notes and outlines are allowed for tests, so if you don't get an A, you're loss.

One of the kindest, most upstanding individuals in the school system today, Prof. Turk is a blessing on FCCJ. I'm took World Religion and expected to be preached to on a regular basis as he is a minister and the bulk of the students are Christians, but he is fair, unbiased, and as forward thinking as possible. Take this class; he's excellent.

Dr. Turk was a wonderful religion instructor. He never forced his view or any view on all religion. The course was very biasised and I enjoyed it. I'm going to miss this instructor!!

This class is easy but interesting. I learned a lot. Very good professor, he does not force anything on anyone. One group project and one paper. There were no tests. You need to read your book in order to discuss it during class. I highly recommend this class to anyone, it was really interesting.

He was the Best Teacher I would say!!

This class was really intresting! He really knows his stuff and what he's teaching! You have one group project and two papers to write! You are required to visit a faith center not of your faith and if your parents won't let you then the best grade you can get is a B. He was really funny and very caring! 100% attendence, no midterm or final!

Very easy and fun course! He is very informative and helpful, and really knows his stuff. He radiates kindness, which makes for a pleasant class. Just show up every day and you don't have to take any exams! The two assignments he gave through the course were TERRIBLY easy, it's a crime if you fail this course!

Likes class discussion. Attendance not manditory, but show up and you will not have to take any tests. Still don't believe a lot he put out, but it was an interesting class. Easiest A I've ever received.

I LOVED this class. Dr.Turk is an amazing professor. He is great at teaching this subject and knows alot. Prof Turk is cool. He will challenge you to think for yourself. If your a conservative be ready to get a little uncomfortable. His class is great though you will learn from him. The bottom line is take the class.

If it can be said, Prof. Turk changed my life. The information and wisdom he has to give are handed to you in this class. You simply have to take it. All the work involved is well explained and pertinent. I don't know if it would change your life taking his class, but I can say without a doubt that it will be a meaningful experience.

Dr. Turk is awesome! He's very strict about attendance but if you come to every class he'll exempt you from the midterm and final. There's a group presentation, a three-page paper, two religious center visits (and papers for both) and the occasional very easy test on the book. Dr. Turk is a very charming man who knows his stuff--take his class!

It was a pleasure and privilege to study under Dr. Turk's leadership. He's wise as well as knowledgeable, challenges students to think well and deeply, and he's willing to be involved with students in order to help them succeed.

Professor Turk was absolutely awesome. The only thing that was required was a group presentation. He does have a mid term and a final but you do not have to take either one if you do not miss any days and he has a 10 minute window to get to class. I loved him!

Great prof. You will learn a lot. I highly reccomend this class. He does teach everything with a slightly Christian focus, but he covers the other major religions very well. VERY easy A if you just show up to each class and do the few required assignments. He is a stickler for detail, so when the syllabus says 3 page paper, don't turn in 2.5!

Dr. Turk was amazing. 30+ yrs of knowledge in Religion, and willing to share it. No absence, no tardies = no mid term or final exam! Participate in class (talk) = extra points, 2 discussion board post (simple), 1 group project from a list. And a 3 pg paper. If you have an open mind you will succeed. Lectures from a PPT, and notes are online.

Easy A-Perfect attendance, no tardies = no mid term or final exam! Must visit 2 diff. faith centers, Must Participate in class = extra pts, Must take notes, known to give open notes tests, 1 group project, a 3 pg paper. Make sure it is over 3 pgs or you fail. Easy A, if you do all expected of you. Not a hard thing to do. Loves Students! EASY A !!!!

An awesome professor!! No tardies, no absences=no mid, and no final. BUT he requires YOU to THINK!! ALOT of talking got me an A, he loves participation. We only had 2 assignments the entire semester, 1 group project and 1 paper to write. And because my class gave 100% participation, we never had a quiz or pop test. He's HIGHLY recommended.
