the professor is nice guy but expects too much. For his course (org behavior) here what need to do: first: individual assignment (6 page paper), Second: team project (7 page paper, power point doc), third: take exams every week (3 chapters one time try ), forth: discussion board plus 3 replies, fifth: presenting the group project. crazy right?
He is clear on what wants but asking for a lot of things. The group project takes a lot of time. there is a paper on MBTI. DIsscussion boards must be APA and you have to reply to 3. test every week, mostly psychology qs .
Expects too much. Week one assignments: Week 1 Assignments: 10 Ques Orientation Quiz, Intro Discussion, Week 1 Discussion, read PharmaSim Manual IN FULL (123 pgs). Week 2: PharmaSim assignment 1, Week 2 Discussion, Team Assignment (1-2 pages), Quiz, PharmaSim assignment 2, Exam + at least 3 chapters of text reading per week. Avoid at all costs.
His online class is very easy only if you are actively involved and complete the work. You do have to at least read each chapter before taking the test. If you are unsure able something, just send him a email. He respond very quick!!
This is the worst online instructor I've ever had. Totally absent in the class. Doesn't grade until the last few weeks of the course, leaving you struggling to meet his expectations. Then it's too late. He didn't respond to questions promptly. This class was a nightmare for me and my team mates. I maintained a 4.0 until now. Thanks Dunham!!!!!!!
This was a hybrid class that met 1 night a week, the rest was online. He is very clear in his syllabus as to his expectations. This is college people, Of course there are high expectations of us. He was very nice and understanding even extended my due dates when my uncle died. He helped me when I asked and gave great feedback. I'd take him again.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! WORST TEACHER EVER. DOESN'T FOLLOW OWN SYLLABUS GRADING NOT CONSISTENT. NEVER AGAIN. WHOLE CLASS IS DONE IS TEAMS WITH NO DIRECTION. TEST QUESTIONS SUBJECTIVE EVEN HE DOESN'T KNOW THE ANSWERS. ALWAYS STRUGGLING AVOID IF YOUR SMART. CLOSE TO COSTING ME GRADUATION.
Worst professor I have had to date. Slow to give grades, docks grades for written assignments based on arbitrary standards not specified in the instructions. Does not list assignments until the week of due date to prevent students from working self-paced. Did not release instructions for group project until the week it was due!
If you can avoid this professor, I would suggest doing it. He does not respond to emails in a timely fashion, even when you email him two weeks before the assignment is due. The grading makes no sense. Feedback is ridiculous. Even though most of us are already working professionals, he talks down to us as if we're fresh out of high school.
Instructor is top notch, gives you clear expectations of course, understands the material well, sets good expectations for students, grading is well managed although it does take some time to get grades back.
While I did rate him Prof Dunham as pretty tough, he makes it clear what the expectations are. This isn't high school where grades are given out for showing up. He expects you to earn your grade. I have had him for two classes and I know I earned my grades. I enjoyed his classes.
While I rated Pro Dunham as tough, I really enjoyed his classes. I've had him for two classes and in both cases, he made it clear what the expectations are. If you do the work, you won't have problems. He gets the knowledge across, and grades accordingly.
Would not take this Professor for an another course.
I would take Professor Rick Dunham class again, he's syllabus is clear cut and requires assignment to be turned in time. To attain good grade you have to work for it. Students don't want to complete their work, and clog his email expecting quick turnaround. His lectures are interesting never missed a single class. Favorite class of 2014
Wasn't a hard class per say but you did have to do the work. Gave great feedback and responded quickly to any questions you had. Stick close to the book for assignments, they will help a lot.
Professor Dunham is very fair, clear, and expects you as a college professional to be committed to do your leg work to earn your grades. I Have had him for 3 classes, and I would sincerely take him again. He always responded, gave extra credit, and was helpful whenever you needed him! Yes it is tough,so is the real business world!
Worst professor I have ever had at FSCJ. Never responds to emails and is extremely disorganized, especially for a class called "Organizational Behavior." Don't take him unless you want to be more stressed than you should be.
Prof. Dunham sets clear expectations for assignments and gives consistent feedback. Read the instructions and complete the work accordingly. The class is challenging, but not impossible. Prof. Dunham is one of the most professional instructors I have met so far. I would definitely take him again.
I have taken him for a lot of classes. You get out of his classes what you put in. Turn your work in and put some effort into it and you will be fine. I really enjoy his style and hes always ready to help.
Good class, good professor; he really allows you to rely on your own progress and work ethic, I like the type of professor that gives the assignments at the beginning of class, and tells you what to expect. This professor does that. He is also a fair grader
Prof. Dunham knows his stuff, but is a slow grader. If you like feedback to improve on subsequent assignments, it can be frustrating.
Very late replies, if any. Hard to get a hold of and late grader
Great class to take and learn with Professor Dunham I would recommend
This is the worse online course I have ever taken. Pretty much everything except your weekly discussion and exams are group work likely because he wants to limit the amount of work (grading) for himself but he still is extremely slow in grading and feedback. He calls himself professor but he has not earned that title professionally.
WORST online course I have EVER taken!!! He is TERRIBLE! does not grade until the end of the term, gives 0 feedback, if you contact him he does NOT respond unless you put a 'read receipt' on the email, no clarity on things papers that you have to write half of the links to articles do not work! I was stuck with this prof and regret not withdrawing
Not bad if you pay attention and participate. This class will have you on the look out for marketing patterns in your world.
Professor Dunham was good grading was slow. Group project was given. Worked with Pharmsim had to have group leader. Work was not difficult. you get 2 tries on quiz.
All I can say is he gives exceptional feedback even on your weekly discussions. Had a short APA paper week 3. Received great feedback on format. Used that feedback for final paper and got an A. Appreciate a professor that spends the time to actually give solid feedback. Highly recommend. Only con is he grades slow.
Excellent professor. Interactive class style. Group work is key with Pharmasim. He gives weekly feedback and is willing to help when needed. Attendance is a must!
Weekly essays in group assignments from beginning to end. never again!
Professor Dunham is a good professor. Overall the course was great. The group project was difficult to get everyone to participate when out of class. But other than the group project the class is not too difficult. I would take again.
He is overall a good professor, but he takes forever to grade anything. The class is almost over and I have no idea how I'm actually doing because he hasn't graded anything in over a month. The syllabus is clear and the assignments are pretty easy.
Today 7_2_17 is the last day of this 7 week semester and I promise this man hasn't graded anything in about 3 weeks. There are currently 5 major assignments that still need to be graded. One worth 30 points two worth 50 points one with 100 points and another worth 150 out of the class total of 1000 points. NEVER AGAIN!!
The only reason I stated I would not take him again is the because of the group project. The group has to turn in an assignment every week together. I do not like group projects to begin with, so having to do a group assignment each week tipped me over the edge. Beware if you hate group projects! Besides that the professor is phenomenal.
Great guy in class, if you are stuck in a bad group I guess it can damage your grade but he is very understanding. He has personally helped me outside of the classroom in preparation of the GMAT and applying to graduate schools. I do not really understand why there is negative feedback, but in person is really great. I had no problem with him.
Easy class. Group project was very simple (case study) and easy to divide up. Informative and gives good feedback on papers.
Slow grader and takes off points for tedious things. When doing the discussions basically write more than needed. Class is easy take if its a must.
Pain point - Group Project the entire course!! If you get a good group then you are golden. SLOW GRADER - final grades were not completed until 12/20/18 and all assignments were due 12/16 by 11:59pm. If I had too yes I would take him again but if there are other choices thats the route I'll take.

Prof. Dunham is awesome. The class was a bit confusing at first when we took a peek at PharmaSim, but it got super easy to "play". Standard amount of DBs, few exams, mostly group work. Big marketing plan project due at the end, we worked on it almost weekly. He grades fast and responds to emails quickly. Good professor, easy grader.
Highly recommend. 7DB 5 Exams, 6 Team assignments. Group project. Pharmasim was a challenge, professor was very helpful with feedback almost instantly. A good group was a plus for this class.
Highly recommend this professor! instant response to questions via email or BB. 8DB, 3 Quiz, 1 Final Exam, Group Project (good group is important) 2 Individual assignments.
Grades reasonably well, gives great feedback for the group project. Group project isn't too difficult as it is broken up into pieces throughout the course. Tests were the most difficult portion of the class.
Be attentive, read all assignments, answer all points, do discussion posts by extra credit deadline, use GroupMe app for group interaction, be organized. Its tough but doable. His feedback is excellent. Assignments are clear. Great professor & supportive. You put in the work, you get the grade. 21 extra credit points. Fun & interesting class.
Professor Dunham was a great teacher. Clear understanding what is expected. 90% of the work is done in groups. He is a caring professor that will work with you.
Loved having this class! Professor Dunham was awesome! He made everything in class easy to understand and I learned so much! He also made the class super fun! Would 100% recommend him!
Professor Dunham was great! His class was not hard as long as you listen to his lectures in class and read the learning units in each module you will pass every quiz and the discussions will be pretty easy. He gave great feedback and is a very fair grader. I recommend his class to anybody taking any one of his business classes.
Professor Dunham is quintessential of what an instructor should be. FSCJ has indeed strengthened its faculty with him as a member. He is ready, willing and accessible to assist the student with questions or concerns. He gives a positive direction for the student to obtain satisfactory results. Simply put, Professor is truly a real gem, awesome.
Professor Dunham truly wants his students to grasp the course. He is respectful to his students and does not hesitate to answers questions with clear and simple explanations. It is as simple as doing the work and you will get the grade. I would definitely take a course he was instructing again. Thank you Professor for caring.
Please take Prof. Dunham he is one of the best Professor I ever had PERIODT! this man needs a raise. Work load is heavy but not hard at all. He is full of knowledge, I enjoyed every class. Do the work, take pride in your work you will pass. He gives great feedback and he is so funny. Cant wait to have him in spring semester!
He was a great professor, when going to class if you had difficulty he further explained it. A easy A ,just do the work if have any question ask him and he has no problem explaining what he wants done for the assignment. I would definitely take him again for another class.
Awesome teacher, not a tough grader and gives a lot of useful feedback and advice!
I took him this semester and he says he will respond to emails within 24 hours but Ive emailed him about a project days before it was due and he didnt respond until after it was already turned in. Also he doesnt keep up with grading and you wont really know if you passed the class or not until its basically too late. Will never take again.
Easy class but prepare to write a lot. Three 5-page papers, weekly discussions, quizzes & a group project. The professor is completely MIA. Does not respond to emails or questions & won't grade anything until the end of class. He took points off my first paper & I made the same mistake on all my papers because he didn't grade until class was over
This was a tough class. By the time the class closed i still didn't have 4 things graded and so I have no idea how i really did. I think it's unfair that students are given strict deadlines, but professors are not held to the same standards when it comes to grading.
This is the first class from FSCJ That was boring. The assignments were uninteresting and so I didnt bother to complete some assignments and I prefer to take the C. There were 3 writing assignments, 5 discussions, 1 team marketing plan, and 8 quizzes. The professor was MIA for most of the class and graded all assignments after the class was over.
Does not answer emails. Late grader. Not a good professor.
Professor Dunham was professional, organized, and kind. He responded quickly to questions via email. Very supportive, informative, and personable. I did not like how group project members were not held accountable for low participation. Quizzes contained a lots of nuanced trick questions and one quiz (that I caught) had wrong answers.
Professor Dunham started out great, was very clear of his expectations and grading criteria. But a few weeks into class he had a family emergency, and we didn't hear from him for weeks. We couldn't get feedback until almost all assignments were turned in. Grades more on APA style than actual content, very tough grader! Good Professor though.
Prof. Durham is a; dynamic, creative, CEO material, tough grader, but fair teacher. He is one of, if not the best teacher in the Business Administration curriculum. He complements the modules with creative assignments designed to make you think critically and analytically. If you want to learn take him, but if you want an easy grade, don't.
Professor Dunham was great. I took a hybrid course which was mainly online and met for lecture one night a week. His lectures are informative and he always answers questions. There is an individual paper, group presentation, quizzes and discussion boards. The workload is very manageable. Show up and do your assignments and you will pass no problem!
This course course is actually MAR3023 which was not listed as an option. This was a 7 week course so of course there was more tasks each week than usual. One online meeting each week. Professor Dunham is very involved in his studies, cares about your learning, responds quickly to emails, and is gracious if you put in the work! He's also hilarious!
Great Professor! The lectures are pretty direct and not slow or boring! I took online due to covid, but we were not required by him to activate our live web cam. Through the week there were one assignment, one pack-back question(similar to discussions) and one exam. Assignments were fun and easy. There was one easy team project.
Online class, the professor explains well the material and gives clear explanations of the assignment's objectives. Lots of learning with Packback which is way better than the usual boring discussion boards. He knows his material and explains it well. I would have loved to take this class in the actual classroom.
Professor Dunham is one the best professors that I've taken at FSCJ. He cares about his students. He encourages you to ask questions, reach out for help and stay up on assignments. He is clear about assignments and will work with you to ensure you understand the material. One group assignment, but not at all difficult.
The professor gives plenty reminders of due dates. Helpful when the question is asked. Keep up with the announcements and due dates and you'll be fine.
I am almost done with my AA and I have a perfect 4.0 this is my second to last class. I have gotten A's in every class, including College Algebra and Calc 1. This professor judged me on every thing from first person nouns to independent clauses.
Takes too long to grade assignments. Grades too harsh on minor details.
He was very very picky about small things and counted off on things that weren't necessarily relevant to the actual assignment. Waited until the last minute to grade the large assignments that would immensely impact your grade. You don't actually know what you will make until after the class has ended and grades have been posted.
He is okay. I reached out many times about questions on assignments and didn't get responses back until after it had to be submitted. Doesn't give feedback on written assignments just tells you what you got point wise from the rubric. He can be very vague and even sarcastic in his replies when you ask questions. He was my only choice to take. 5/10
Great professor! I took this class as a hybrid for my last semester and wish I would have been able to take more of his courses! 10/10.
This course looked tougher in the syllabus, but was made easy through an online meeting once a week. Unlimited tries on the Mini Sims was invaluable to learning. Lots of extra credit. Very clear instruction of what is expected. I would take this Professor again.
I don't know why people rated him so poorly... Professor Dunham was great! He was pretty clear with what he wanted, he provided sites to help complete the major assignments, and he replied to emails ASAP. He was very considerate of his students and what we had to say, and even recorded his lectures for those who couldn't attend. Overall, 10/10!
This professor makes me not want to major in marketing. If you're confused about something and ask him a question, he will reply with a snarky comment like look on the internet. So you have to teach yourself everything. A majority of the course grade depends on 2 assignments: group proj and case study. He will grade you harshly. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I have been attending FSCJ for 3 years and this was my hardest class by far. Case Studies that were graded like they were papers, plus quizzes, discussions every week. Then you have the added group project. No extra credit available, grades so sporadically, and APA formant is highly regarded in this class. My only B in my bachelors' program.
I didn't hate this class or the professor, but I probably wouldn't go searching for him again. The workload was relatively average most weeks, but the assignment load remains the same even when papers or projects were due which I found annoying compared to other classes I've taken. Slow grader, doesn't give very good feedback, but I made an A.
Two major assignments: Group project PowerPoint and a case study. 3 PackBack discussions. Quiz every week, every answer is findable in the book. Marketing Sims are easy too, unlimited tries. He did not communicate regularly throughout the course so keep up with what is due. Feedback on the major assignments was slow.
I enjoyed how this class was set up. Standard quizzes and packback instead of canvas discussions which was interesting. I really enjoyed the marketing sims available for this class. There is a group project and individual paper due within a week apart so manage time well. He's a slow grader on big assignments which I did not enjoy
Do all of the extra credit he offers because you will need it. One of the toughest graders I have had in my entire program. Does not hold lazy group members accountable. Incorrect answers to questions on every quiz. Classes are a waste of time, except to clarify his expectations for the project/paper.
Professor Rick Dunham is very sweet, attentive, and very responsive. I recommend him.
Tough grader, try a different professor.
He has a few papers but they are very hard to navigate due to his extremely high expectations and subjective grading. He does not grade his work in a timely manner so you do not get feedback before the next assignments' are due. Do not recommend taking him.
I would not recommend taking this teacher at all, unfortunately, it seems unavoidable, as there are a limited amount of teachers that teach this specific class for some reason. This teacher is incredibly hard to get in contact with, takes about a week to grade each assignment from its due date, and has incredibly subjective harsh grading.
AVOID him if at all possible. Believe the other negative reviews for this class. 0/10 Would never recommend.
Don't walk away, RUN. Avoid enrolling in this class at all costs. His grading system is highly subjective, and he falsely believes he's knowledgeable in areas beyond his expertise. I only opted for his class due to limited alternatives, and unfortunately, you might find yourself in the same situation. My advice is to steer clear of him if you can.
Professor Dunham was accessible and quick to respond. He provided weekly updates. Easy A as long as you complete the work. 7 marketing mini-sims, 7 quizzes, 3 Packback discussions, 1 case study, and 1 group project. He was slow grading the case study and group project, but I wouldn't hold that against him. Take advantage of extra credit.
This class is generally easy but requires you to do the work. The professor is kind and responds promptly to your queries. The mini-sims assignments might be challenging, but if you read the instructions carefully, you can complete them.
When I saw the previous reviews, I was scared to take his class. However, I am glad that I still signed up because my experience was nothing like what the reviews had suggested. 7 wk class with weekly sims assignment/quizzes. 1 case study and a group project. If you do the work, you will pass. Extra credit is offered. Good Luck!
This is not an easy class at all! There were 3 papers a case study, a research paper, and a group project. These papers totaled 520 points. So, if you did not do well on those papers you basically failed the class. His comments were very snarky. Did not find him helpful at all. Avoid him if possible.
If you put in the effort, you will pass. The professor is responsive when you reach out, but he strictly grades papers. The course includes 6 Packback discussions, 3 case studies, 1 essay, a group project, and weekly quizzes. He consistently kept us updated through daily and/or weekly announcements.
The professor was not fair with my grade and after talking to him about it he still never changed my grade which caused me to fail this class. The final grades were about to be due and he never emailed me back he waited for final grades to be due and failed me.
There was plenty of communication from this professor in the first week or two, which I thought was too much! He flooded the announcements, and several of them were warnings about plagiarism. He took away the Connect assignments in the first week due to technical issues so that allowed fewer chances for students to improve their grades.
He gave me a 0 on one case study which had a lot of reading! I had written almost 20 pages of notes from the reading! He claimed there was plagiarism, and also insulted me by suggesting that tutors assist me with my writing. People are telling the truth when they say his grading is very subjective! My first C in this program and the rest were A's.
Terrible communication, Extremely bias on grading, expectations not directly stated in the syllabus. Posted so many updates makes it nearly impossible to keep up with all of them. Would not work with my schedule at all and was never willing to help. Would never recommend taking his class ever again.
Don't do this class unless you're ready for a brain aneurysm. I wouldn't have taken this class but unfortunately it's the only teacher available. Lots of work and intense assignments I'd rather run twenty miles non stop than do this class again. Unfortunately only class available so we don't have much of a choice but I would've rather did anything.
