really good teacher. straight forward tons of extra credit and impossible to get anything less than a b. interesting class besides lecture being boring. funny guy.

He is a great teacher and gives lots of ways to improve your grade. I got well over 100% in the class, and I'm a working mom of five kids. That should tell you something! You will have a great experience in this class.

Fantastic teacher, always willing to help and listen. There are many extra credit options, so there's really not much reason why you can't get an A in the class!

Hard to fail this class, just read and listen. Makes jokes, and loves what he does. I really like this class and I thought I wouldn't. He tries his hardest to make things interesting.... really nice guy.

AWESOME. EASY. Easy chance for 8 additional points after every test. Late assignments are only 2% off each day, but only to 20% off max, no matter how late it is, only 20% will ever be taken off at the most!! Lenient and sweet. 2 out of the 3 assignments were easy. Tests are easy. Medium book use. LOTS of E.C.

HOTTIE!!!! He isn't the "sweet" teacher, doesn't ever get personal, but is very lenient and easy. He isn't mean whatsoever, I just mean that he is pure teacher with students. Awesome class!

Smartest teacher i have ever had. He alwasy has an answer to your questions and a very nice guy! you dont have to take the final if you have a 98% 2 weeks before but if you are anywhere below he will not bend! only 4 assignments and 4 tests in the summer! very informational class!

Rick is so awesome. He knows how to get you to absorb the information. I think he's to good to teach at MJC but he seems to love it. I think you learn more when your not stressed and bogged down with assignments. I still remember what we learned about and it's helping me with other classes. Take his class.

Pretty easy class, make sure you show up because a bulk of the points are earned in class. Prepare to have to write a lot though, but the assignments are somewhat interesting. His grading scale is easy on the student, if 1/2 of the class misses a question then if you get it right it's extra credit, get it wrong it won't count against you.

This was a really easy class. He's a really nice teacher. Like he wants everybody to do good in the class. He's a really easy grader too. If you get over 98% in the class then you don't have to take the final. The homework wasn't difficult at all and he curves the tests.

Dr. Ingraham is an awesome teacher! He is a behavioral psychologist and knows his stuff. While offering tons of videos and stories of personal cases, his teaching style is really easy to cope with. Offers a lot of extra credit, and is always willing to help!

Very easy A. I only opened my book the day of exams and paid attention in class. After every test, you can take the exact same test with a group of other students in the class, to bring up your grade!There's also lots of extra credit! I had over 98% and didn't have to take the final!

This is an easy class to pass IF you attend every session. A majority of the points come from group work and the in class index cards. Group work is easy and fun. Grades are curved. You can take a group test too. You can get by with the power-points and lecture notes. Over all great class. Dr. Ingraham is very engaging, and does learn your name!

Professor Ingraham is awesome!! This class is very easy. Attendance is mandatory if you want to pass the class, most of the points comes from the class meetings. We do a lot of group assignments in class. I passed the class without a textbook. The lectures are online on blackboard. The test is fairly easy, he gives us a study guide prior to test.

Loved the class, he isn't lying when he says you'll apply what you learn to everyday life! Highly recommended, wish he taught more classes:)

Professor Ingraham is so passionate about what he does. He is so helpful towards students and he really understands us. His lectures are very interesting, he provides real world examples and he's very generous with grading. He offered up to 120 points e.c.! I definitely recommend him, he is wonderful.

He gives you a study sheet with the information needed to study. His tests are multiple choice and there is enough extra credit to easily manage an A in the class.

Amazing prof. I switched to his class from another section about 4 weeks in because I was having a very hard time with the teaching style of the prof in the class I was in. Get to know the people around you as there are group assignments every class. Scheduled to meet with a group of students outside of class to go over exams. Gives out a lot of extra credit. READ THE POWER POINTS, NOT THE BOOK. Bring your book to class. Fill out your exam study guides. Group exams offered after your exam to higher your exam grade.

Go to class every night, because you need credit from group assignments. Options for extra credit. Solid lectures, and best part of class was his clinical stories. Tests are okay, but way too many questions with All of these or None of these options. Can buy cheap older version of textbook.

Ingraham is an awesome teacher and human being in general. You can tell he is one of few teachers who truly cares. He will make sure he goes the extra mile to help the class out. Don't like how long lectures are or want more group work? He will customize the style of learning based off what the majority of the class prefers. Highly recommend.

He is very passionate, has lots of experience in the field, and structures his class toward an applied approach(which is great for better understanding). His stories are insightful and hilarious at times. He assigns a few projects, integrates individual group discussion and offers ALOT of extra credit! Go to class, do the work and you'll earn an A!

A LOT OF GROUP PROJECTS. A LOT OF EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENTS. He has a lot of experience in the world of psychology. He posts slide shows on blackboard which i find helpful. He is a great professor. He does sometimes mess up your score on blackboard so you'll have to double check once in a while to make sure it is correct.

Show up for class, participate in group activities, put some effort into the assignments (he might assign maybe 2 or 3), and study for tests! If you happen to fall behind, no worries, he provides a lot of extra credit opportunities. He is a great professor and always willing to help. I wish he was teaching other psychology classes!

Easiest college course I have ever taken. He offers A LOT of extra credit. You don't have to take the final if you have a 98% or better at the end of the semester and a large portion of the class didn't have to take it. Go to the study sessions at Starbucks and you will pass the tests. A very easy class where I actually learned a lot.

This is probably the easiest professor for this subject. Offers tons of extra credit, this will boost you up a letter grade. Lectures are long but offer points for being there. Make sure you read each chapter. Study guides aren't much help but the group exams are what saves people. Just understand all the psychologist approach and how to apply them

This professor obviously loves what he does. There is a good amount of work but he offers so much extra credit that instead of stressing about grades you can really dig into the information and not worry about it! Also, if you receive higher than a 98% before the final (it's 100% do-able) you do not have to take it!

Professor Ingraham is a great teacher! He really wants his students to succeed & provides the tools to do so. He lectures for half the class & then you do group exercises the last half. Show up to class (participate in group work), review his Exam Study Guides, & you will get an A in the class. He also offers a lot of extra credit!

I liked Prof. Ingraham. He was very nice and interesting to listen to. An easy class, but you do need to do your part. Skipping class could drop your grade because of missed class work. Lots of group work. There is a tough project assigned but he also offered 200 points worth of extra credit options during the semester.

I was not thrilled with the idea of group work since I like to be in control of my own grade, but it is actually fun! He has study sessions before each exam. And if you get at least a B on each exam and go into finals week with a 98% in the class, you're exempt from the final! And that is really easy to do. He offers a lot of extra credit!!

One of the best professors that I have had at MJC! I highly recommend him for Psychology 141. lots of extra credit that help you make up for the test that you did not really do good at. Only one major written assignment per a semester worth of 400! 4 multiple choices midterms& an optional group study sessions with the professor. AWESOME PROFESSOR.

Loved his lectures, after tests you take a group tests which helps your overall score, grades quickly, not too much homework, study guides close to tests. Gives a long break for night class so you can hit the cafeteria before they close, understanding, will not tolerate loud students.

Great teacher. Funny. Offers help with assignments. Tests are a little hard but he offers group test after the test and adds an extra 12 pts on your test score. Highly recommend him. Lots of group class work. Not alot of lecture. Lots of short youtube videoes with t/f worksheet after.

Professor Ingraham provides enough extra credit to raise you grade a whole letter if you chose to invest the time. He is also very accommodating if you have a true emergency and need to make up some points. If you attend every class, do the group work, study a little, and attend his generous study sessions you will pass.

This professor is awesome! He gives you plenty of extra credit to help you pass the class and gives you every opportunity to pass his exams. As long as you show up and pay attention in class, youre almost guaranteed to pass this class. I really enjoyed the stories he told from his experience with the topics in the class. This class was super fun! He made it very clear was his expectations were and what you had to do to pass his class. Attendance is a MUST he covers to much to miss. Professor Richard Ingraham was a fantastic teacher. A lot of extra credit opportunities. Being in class is very important since most of the assignment are in class. However, if you are not comfortable working in groups, you should reconsider taking his class. If you get 98% on his class you don't need to take the final.

The absolute best professor I have ever had! I have never had a professor care so much about his students. Be ready to work in groups for every class. He offers a ton of extra credit so if you do not get an A its because you didn't try. He even gives you an opportunity to not take the final. Makes himself available for study groups.

Don't take if you don't like worksheets or working in groups. So much extra credit offered. Lectures first half hour of class and says you don't have to show up to it unless you want to. Second half of class is videos, worksheets and different busy work. Every exam you can earn extra points on your score doing the group exam. Chill class.

Professor Ingraham is the greatest Professor I've ever had. He brings experience from working in the field & applies it to exams/lectures . There is in class group work, do NOT miss class because these cannot be made up. He also provides extra credit in case you do have to miss as well as study group the weekend before the exam which help a lot!

Dr. Ingraham does a great job teaching this overview class on Human Development. He gives a power point lecture along with having "hands on" group activity exercises. The class covers the human lifespan, so cannot go into too much detail and he clearly tells you what you need to retrain. He also offers lots of extra credit if needed. Good class!

Attend every class. Life happens and he understands. That's why he gives his class a worksheet of extra credit just in case you can not attend class. Make sure you turn in your group activity. I don't like group activity but it 's actually a short interaction. Attend the test reviews. I ended this class with a 104% and I missed two weeks of class.

I loved Professor Ingraham, he was very kind and helpful and I loved taking his class. I learned so much. We had zoom class once a week and you needed to go for credit, breakout room assignments were due at the end of class. I enjoyed the breakout rooms. You can call him in and he'll help. SO much extra credit. I would choose him again.

Excellent Prof. I had him for Summer 2021. There are weekly group quizzes, lectures are different because he uses a lot of personal examples, which is great for remembering concepts. Great person will help you at any time. He is very accessible. it was an online class yet it didn't affect his teaching, it went well. I definitely recommend him.

He is the best professor I've taken at MJC. He is nice and caring professor, gives out so many ECs. If you want to get an A, take him. I'm sure to lear a lot from his class.

The class was pretty straightforward. The teacher cared about students and made sure he provided a lot of real-world examples in the lecture, and he was a nice guy who gave a lot of extra credit. It is impossible to fail this class.

I took psych141 during summer, so many opportunities for extra credit, grades on a curve, accepts late work and very understanding. This professor wants you to pass their class.

Great class for psych prereq or Gened prereq. Minimal assignments. He wants everyone to pass so he offers PLENTY of extra credit. Took his class over zoom, did not need camera or mic on. Break out rooms require participation with other students & you get to submit assignments together. Want a stress-free class? This is it. He is so sweet, take him!

Professor Ingraham is the BEST! The structure of the online class was a concern for me at the beginning due to the group work required but I actually feel those projects is where I learned the most. They were actually fun. I strongly recommend taking one of his classes.
