Seems to have gotten a bad wrap due to the online course he taught. People don't understand that it's difficult to teach in a new venue. His reg. class was fun and informative. Try it!

Online classes can be a struggle in regards to tests, but if you keep on top of the TA, they are very good about adjusting your score to reflect the correct grade. He's personable and helpful. Doesn't want allot of "busy work"...just the facts m

There's some writing to do, but it's easy stuff. Both the midterm and the final are take homes. I got a D on my midterm, but I did some extra credit and got an A in the course! He is pretty cool!

I took the online class. It is a lot of work, but you just have to read the book. It was my first time taking a online class...not too bad. He always e-mailed me back when I had a question and was welcoming when I visited his office with questions.

This class is extremely easy. Anyone who fails this class will fail to all other classes. The Professor and his TA are bit unorganized. Go his office and ask for help to be successful. The subject is interesting, too.

I have taken two online classes with Michelson and both have been really easy. Michelson is very helpful when it comes to answering your questions. As long as you keep up with the work this class is easy!

All his classes are super easy. You would have to be a complete dumbshit to fail any of them. He gives you take home mid-terms and finals which are super easy to begin with. If you fail this class...go back to kindergarten!!!

cool guy... easy, take home test, this guy is the easiest to turn in stuff late for too.. just tell him he said you could have extra days or weeks

Great teacher, goes off on a tangent. Funny stories, says things that are border-line ****. suprised no one has complained. Take home midterm. So far only 1 real assignment and we are 1/2 done with the year.

This guy is so laid back. He is more interested in your understanding of what he is teaching rather than just testing you on things in the book.

WEB class was extremely easy-just a lot of thorough reading if you really want to learn-but an easy A----he needs to UPDATE the syllabus though-it can be confusing......WEB class is recommended if you have the time!

online was incredibly easy, this guy is so laidback.just do the reading (which is so minimal) and understand it and you have an easy A.course is interesting.

Easy, fun, interesting, you can take this class from 7-10 pm and not want to leave early. Great Teacher

I took his online class, and it was very interesting and the assignments were easy to understand. Just do your work and submit it on time, and you'll have no problems. Very interesting class. Glad I took it.

Awesome teacher! Make sure you are prepared for presentations...he will talk some trash to you, but its all in good fun. He looks like Brian Dennehy, that made me laugh a little. He's very passionate about the material. He makes everything interesting and pretty much feeds you everything you would ever need to know.

very good teacher. he is one of the best teacher in the aoj departement i am looking forward to take another class with him. because he is a good teacher i have already taken 3 classes with him and i am taking another class with him. recommanded if you want to understand better and get a good grade take him. study! do you best! and get an easy A.

O man, talk about a great man. I want to take him again for my other crim classes. He is an easy laid back teacher and he uses a lot of online stuff so make sure you can get to a computer. He is waaay easy and makes learning the penial code fun!...well, not really but he has some great stories, come on the penial code is just boring...period!

WOW, I have never seen as easier class. In class there wasn't much going on, everything was online. Make sure to do yur online quizzes on time and get the final done as early as you can. Great teacher, I took this class a few semesters ago and I have since taken 3 other classes with him! Awesome!

Very good teacher, easy homework, interesting lectures and well just take the class you wont regret it. All assaignments are done online, even tests.

I think that Rick is an incredible professor. He made everything very interesting and explained things with his own experiences. He was humorous and very informational. I actually looked forward to going to his classes and will be bummed when I can't have him any more. Great Great professor!!

Rick is a great teacher! He is funny and very laid back. He will answer any questions you have. He is very fair with his grading and really just wants you to learn. Go to class, pay attention and you will get an A.

I took this class online, talk about easy! You can use your book for the quizzes and final! The writing assignments are fairly easy, he does not expect you to write like a lawyer or english major, he just wants to se that you know the basic knowledge of what he is asking. I took two classes with him and I am taking a third next semester.

Seriously whoever left that comment below must be a slacker! His classes are incredibly easy! If he decides to remove assignments, he gives extra credit if you did them. Quizzes are extremely easy, you can print them & use the book. His lectures are funny & he has a lot of interesting stories. Go to class & do your assignments it's an EASY A.

Took the class on line, very easy, the quizzes come straight from the book and the 3 page paper is harmless, great class for the summer

Rick is an awesome teacher! I do have to agree however, that the new T.A. is not so great. The online courses were much better before the new T.A. but all you can do is deal with it. Besides that, Rick makes the classes very easy and enjoyable.

This teacher is the best teacher I have had so far. He is really funny and cool. I like the powerpoints because they are easy to follow. The quizzes are on blackboard and come right out of the book. Great class.

He's such an easy to approach instructor; the publications he chooses are informative with lots of web resources and recommended to retain for future LE (law enforcement) use. He's always up to date w/current events and incorporates his knowledge into classroom teachings. He is easy to approach on assignment extensions/very understanding!Great Man

I took him for AOJ 204 in class and AOJ 240 online. In class he tells you what is important hence write it down. Online he can be quite slow posting things but gives you plenty of time to do it. On papers do exactly what he wants and you will get a A. Easy A for both!

Greatest teacher I have ever had. He is very helpful. I recommend this instructor for every student that wants to learn.

Criminal Law class was very easy online. Weekly quizzes, a case analysis and a 50 question final. Got an A by simply doing everything on time. Textbook was written by the professor so that was a little intimidation factor. Do the work and it is an easy A.

Taken him for two other classes. Very clear on what he asks for. Grade consists of a weekly quiz (very easy) that gives you two chances to get the best score, a case analysis paper that's very easy and on a case you choose (as long as approved), and professionalism (based on completed assignments as they count as your attendance). Great professor.

He was great! He made sure that the material we were covering was relevant to the world around me. It was very cool to read his constant emails about wars, and he would ask for our opinions which is what the discussion boards were on super easy A. The tests were easy and straight out of the book.

He was a really great instructor and I would definitely take his class again. Very clear on what he wanted you to do. Even dropped the outline of the case study paper since no one did it. Not really any surprises from this guy and lets you know ahead of time when things are due. It especially helps for an online class.

Rick Michelson is very passionate about what he does and it reflects in the way he teaches. He is a great professor who makes things easy for students. His main goal is for you to learn something and get something out of the class rather than stress you out with loads of work. The weekly quizzes and final were easy if you use the textbook.

Great Professor! Work load is pretty standard and he is very clear on grading criteria/what is expected of you. Responds to emails and is always willing to help. I would definitely recommend this teacher!

I took AOJ 240 & 206 with Professor. Michelson and he is the best teacher to learn from he is honest and very helpful. He makes cases very easy to understand. I highly recommend AOJ240 online.

I took his Criminal Law class online and it was a simple A. The class is mainly quizzes with answers pulled straight from the textbook and discussion boards. There is one Case Analysis Paper due at the end of the semester which is basically a synopsis of a case of your choice. As long as you use your textbook for the quizzes, you don't need to read

Prof. Michelson was great! Class fully online-weekly Discussions & Quizzes majority of grade. Best "discussion" of any class I have taken since controversial issues & Prof. Michelson encouraged early replies, participated sending new links to articles, & monitored the polite arguing lol. Lots of great material posted-open book quizzes from reading.
